Main heading and Sub Heading Requirment in ALV wih download to excel featur
Hello Everyone,
I have a very typical requirment in ALV . I want the output to be displayed as folows :
Category
Head1
Head2
Here the heading category is just a heading and no header and line item data. so hirearchal kind of ALV is of no use. and i cant write this was in TOP-OF-PAGE as i want to download this data to excel and if i write it in TOP-OF-PAGE the dwnload in excel is misaligned. I have been thorugh the various topics posted here and couldn't get a feasible solution. Please Help.

Credit limit sharing main customer and sub customers. we have hierarchy to identified main cutomer and sub customers and different account groups. now in system we are using main customer payer for all sub customers also. in future we are going to share the credit limit sub dealesr also. wt are the possibilities to complete my requirements.

If i understood correctly. You wan to share main customer credit limit to all sub customer i.e. if main customer is having 5 Lacs Credit Limit the same amt you want to use for all sub customers.
If this is the scenario then assign the main customer in the sub customer Credit master as a credit account.
FD32 ---> Control Area Data ---> Status ---> Credit Account ( Under Credit Limit )....
Process to change the credit account: Perss F6 or from the status view Go to Edit ---> Change Credit acct...

Concatenate main vi and sub vi data
Is it possible to concatenate the output string of main vi and sub vi data?
Yes, both are string data types and i used the string concatenate function in our previous projects.
I have not yet implemented the logic. My main objective is, in my main vi i have two sub vi's corresponding to two controls. If i click on control-1 sub vi-1 will popup and i will make some changes. And some changes in second sub vi also. Finally i have to concatenate the both sub vi's outputs and main vi output and send to FPGA board.
Kindly provide the example vi for my requirements.

How to read a file which has header and without header
Hi,
I have a file to file scenario wherein there are txt files in the source system, some of which has header and some without header.
How does the sender adapter dynamically identify a file with header and without header.
I knew that File content Conversion in the sender adapter with "Recordsets per message = 1" can read the header. But how to handle dynamically.

Let me give a more clear picture:-
One of my file which has header and the corresponding values is listed hereunder:
PERNR;KID;PNALT;NACHN;NAME2;VORNA;TITEL;TITL2 and so on.....
;1200;1200;Angus;; and so on.........
Other file which has no header but only values in it:-
1200;1200;;Werner;Angus and so on.......
The structure remains same for all the files. The only difference is that some of the file has header in it and some without header. The Message Type is mentioned hereunder:-
DT_LegacyEmployee (Category - Complex Type)
Employees (Category - Element, Occurence - 1)
Employee (Categroy - Element, Type - DT_LegacyEmployee_Row, Occurence - 0...unbounded)
PERNR
KID
PNALT
NACHN
NAME2 and so on......
I read the file in record row. The file conversion parameters in the file sender adapter are mentioned hereunder:-

Key Field Type - String (Case Sensitive)

How do we dynamically identify whether the file has header or not. Even if the file has header or without header, the file needs to be picked and transferred to the target system. Kindly clarify.

For this you will need to define header for the ALV. Here is a simple example how to do this:
First you need to write one Header form like following:
FORM f004_header USING it_head TYPE slis_t_listheader..
DATA : wa_line TYPE slis_listheader.
CLEAR wa_line.
wa_line-typ = 'H'. " H = Header, S = Selection, A = Action
wa_line-info = 'List of Sales Orders'.
APPEND wa_line TO it_head.
" Here type out all the required data one by one in work are and append it to internal table
ENDFORM. "f004_header
before calling REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY you need to call following
TO HEADER EVENT
FORM f006_top.
CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE'
EXPORTING
it_list_commentary = it_header.
ENDFORM.
and for REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY call as following

Main Projects and Sub Projects
Guys,
This is my scenario.
The projects that we are going to work has got a lot of activities and needs to be brought in to Project System. Since there will be a regular changes in the project and rescheduling to be done, the person who is responsible for the whole project will not be able to do the process regularly.
We have come up with the thought of distributing the work to different departments such as PED , RND, PURCH, QLTY etc... such that, each deaprtment Project* their work with different WBS elements (hopefully using CJ11) and finally all these wbs elements being connected to the Project definition which is created by the project manager. If there are any changes made to the WBS element the dates should be automatically rescheduled, which is available in SAP PS.
This can be a sub project kind of an idea. Minor projects under One main Major Project.
Or for eg.. Multiple projects of a department under the Departments' Project definition.
So guys, let me know if this concept could be done in PS.
Any kind of help will be really appretiated.

Hope that you understood my scenario, and as I could do it partially with your reply.
To be more clear from my side. Our plan crosses department wise rather that the projet plan flow. You can find the eg below.
1. The Project manager would create the project definition and would communicate this to all the dept heads and wait for them to create the WBS elements.
2. The dept heads would Project* their plan in to the system individually, entering the duration for each activity. This process is done by the cross functioning departments working on the same project.
3. The dept plan would later be linked to the Project definition by the project manager himself, and as the duration is already given scheduling would be carried out subsequently by the project manager.

How to get Main meters and Sub meters in sap isu
Hi,
I have a requirement to collect number of main meters that linked with submeters.
Can anyone suggest me a table where i can get the main meters and submeters list.
Scenario :
A Premise may consist of more that one installation of same division.
Out of these one meter may be main meter.
And remaining all are sub meters.
All the installations under a premise we can get from EANL table by giving the premise input.
and now how the main and sub installations are differed out of these?
Is there any particular table that consists of a field which tells that meter is main or sub?

I am struggling a lot with my Main vi and Subvi execution problems a lot !
I have a complicated system. To explain it, I create a simple main vi and 2 subvis. Please have a look at the attachment.
It is working as expected. The boolean button in the main vi is active when the subvi-s are not running. But while the sub vis are running I can not access the boolean button. I understand why it is happening. The execution is stuck in the subvi and can not see any new input in the main vi.
My question is how can I solve this?
What I want is,
1. When the subvi is running, I still want the boolean button in the main vi to behave in the same way as compared to when the subvi is not running.
2. I should also be able to run the 2nd subvi when the 1st subvi is still running.
Please help me out (I am using Labview 2010.)

Report Header and Column Header Removal

we wanted remove report headers and Column header in each downloaded report. we are planning on using the Report header specifiers while reading each line, specifiers like "Report Name:","Report Time:","Time Zone:","Report
Filter:", etc.,
Here the question is are these values changes in a given version for each report? OR is it better to go by using line numbers i.e say first 8 lines always represents Report Headers and Next line is always blank and 10th line is always Column Header?

Main meter and sub meter issue
We are creating a main & sub meter sub-meters order are not being downloaded by EL16, only main meter order are downloaded.It happens only in Production system. But in ouq dev and qua both order are downloaded.
Meter reading orders for the sub-meters are created automatically when we
create orders for the main meters. The main and sub-meters are in the
same MRU. When we execute EL16, only the orders for the main meters are
downloaded.
Only the order for the main meter is getting downloaded.The order for
the sub-meter is not getting downloaded even though both are in the same
MRU.
I am unable to find the exact reason .

Please consider the 'old' note 305694 which explains the changed behavior...
Only in the case of available meter reading order also for the sub installation the system will download also the meter reading order for the second register. The other opportunity is to modify as described in the note 425739....OR use note 853927 and customized this functionality using the switch DIFF_MRUS_EL35 in table TE410S.....
