Main navigation is not editable??

Hello iWeb users,
Hi there, I am using the template Apple has supplied. However the main menu cannot change text size or left or right alignment. Is it possible to edit this? I tried every which way but now I am stuck.

The slideshow is made with a javascript, there are a few demo's about, google 'slideshow java script', then it's a case of adding your info pics/sizes/names and that's it. It does mean small amount of code editing but I had never done it before and managed it without too much trouble.
I did not change the navigation text, I disabled the navigation bar and created my own using the text boxes available in iWeb and added hyperlinks to my pages.

when you upload to your host, ensure that you are uploading ALL files including the ones that you think are irrelevant. Grab the whole folder and uploaded it, rather than its contents only.

Having a field navigable but not editable?

I have a one field block that displays three records at a time. I have a popup menu associated with the field. The popup calls a form that will populate the field. It populates the record in the block from where the user called the popup (if the user right clicks on the 2nd record in the block then the form populates the second record). I don't want the user to be able to edit this field directly, but I do want the user to be able to click where they want the called form to populate the calling form. Any suggestions? If I set the field to disabled, then the user can't click on the field. Hope this makes sense.

Tip: How to link to a non-iWeb page in the main navigation menu.

I've figured out an easy way to add a link to the main navigation menu which links to a URL of your choosing. For example, I have an older .Mac site using the now archaic HomePage. Instead of rebuilding all of my old pages in iWeb, I thought it would be nice to add a link to the old site from the top main navigation of the iWeb pages. Sounds easy, right? Apparently Apple has other ideas as iWeb doesn't allow you to do this.
Here's a work-a-round:
Step 1.) Open iWeb and add a new page to your iWeb site. Pick any template, it doesn't matter which one.
Step 2.) Change the page name to whatever you want using the page inspector. Whatever you choose as a name here will be reflected in the main navigation menu. For example, I named my page "Photo Archives".
Step 3.) You don't need to edit this new page at all. In fact, we're going to erase all of the content in it later. Now publish your site.
Step 4.) If you're using .Mac, mount your iDisk to your desktop. Then navigate through the folders to: Web -> Sites -> iWeb -> <Your Site Name>. If you're hosting your site somewhere else, navigate to your root directory.
Step 5.) You should now be looking at all of the files which make up your iWeb site. Open the dummy page we created in Step 2 in a text editor. I used BBEdit, but TextEdit (see note below) will work just fine. For example, my dummy page is named "Photo Archives.html".
Note: If you're going to use TextEdit, you need to select the checkbox "Ignore rich-text commands in HTML files" from the Open & Save pane of the Preferences dialog PRIOR to opening the file from your iDisk.
Step 6.) Select all of the text (Command-A) and Delete.
Step 7.) Paste the following text, substituting the URL you want to link to.

Main VI is not updating the data from subVI

Dear all,
I
have a Vi A using the data front a subVi B. When I run it, I see the
data is updating in the subVI, but not the main Vi and the Front Panel.
The subVi has three output channels and the main Vi tries to display
those three channel data on the Front Panel.
Could somebody tell me how I can solve the problem?

      I had almost full of content on my ipod,then I upgraded from XP HOME(32) to Windows7 (64 Bit)
What I did not want to do was to spend time loading All 75GB back on the itunes Library, but decided I should restore the ipod, since it's been acting up a bit. I did not deactivate the last XP OS Computer prior to formatting the harddrive,because I thought it would not matter, since the software would be GONE.
So I downloaded another itunes/Quicktime on this new Win7 O.S., and created the same playlists I had before, then dragged each genre/main music folder into the appropriate folder in itunes.
I clicked on a few songs to change the Info, but they are all greyed out and I cannot edit anything....I never had these problems before.
How to I re-enable to EDIT the INFO again?   Thank you!
(itunes also told me I had authorized four out of five computers for this device...WHAT? There is only one computer, and my one ipod.
......BUT.......My sister has a 16GB itouch, and I put my songs on her itouch, also charged it up on my computer, since she does not have her own computer yet. Will that mess anything up?
Can she create her own User apple ID/password, then be able to edit her stuff from my computer? AUTHORIZE her itouch on my computer, or do I have to create her own playlists (because I have an 80GB, and she has a16GB, obviously, she will not get all mine on her small device) then checkmark ONLY her playlists to manage on her itouch, from my computer?
A few people told me to try this....
     I Plugged in the OL' ipod, Under the SUMMARY TAB, and under the OPTIONS TAB, I changed what I had, which was "SYNC ONLY CHECKED SONGS AND VIDEOS" [B]to MANUALLY MANAGE MUSIC AND VIDEOS"[/B]
THEN underneath that, "OPEN ITUNES WHEN IPOD IS CONNECTED", "AND MANUALLY MANAGE MUSIC WERE [U]BOTH CHECKED[/U]."
THEN - I went back into my Win Explorer Main Music folder,and under PROPERTIES, I unchecked the READ-ONLY Box, hit APPLY, then OK, then I went back into the itunes library and tried to edit a few songs, but they are all still greyed out and not editable.
I went back into the WIN EXPLORER main Music folder and checked to see if the READ-ONLY was still unchecked, but it automatically reverted back to READ ONLY.
Another question I wanted to ask was this. I have my main Music Folder on my Storage HDD. They are MP3 files, and listed as Country,Blues,Classic Rock,Reggae,etc. After I installed the WIN7 OS, I had to download itunes again/Quicktime,then dragged each main music folder into the appropriate playlist until they were all there. Since my itunes app is on my Boot Drive,and my main music folder on my Storage drive,am I wasting or adding any needless HDD space having on both HDD'S? or is this a non-issue? Thank you!

Well, after posting the help messages, I went diggingthrough both my itunes folder on my (C) drive, and then the Music Folder on my(F) Storage drive where I keep all my music files and then went into securityand in each line, I made FULL CONTROL, APPLY, then went back into iTunes afterplugging my ipod in and clicked on MANUALLY MANAGE TUNES.
I don't know which did it, but now I can edit the songs. To answer yourquestion, I was able to play the songs, but just couldn't edit any of themuntil now. Thanks for your Reply!

You gave a default target in the build.xml, and then didn't define the target.
This is an Ant question. You're better off asking Ant questions on an Ant forum.

Missing Main/Navigator Toolbar JDEV 904

I would like to know how to reset the look and feel of the Main/Navigator toolbars within JDEV 904. When I select View -> Toolbars - the toolbar is displayed, but only as a bar of one pixel height :(
I have tried to resize/drag n drop/open/close/minimise/maximise this "single pixel bar" - but with no success.
Can someone provide me some pointers on resetting the JDEV gui environment please.

Hi Miles,
This is a known issue with JDeveloper 9.0.5 or earlier when you've terminated JDeveloper forcibly (e.g. killed the process by ctrl-c, task manager or a forced shutdown in Windows) while it's exiting. The cause of the problem is that the ide.properties file in your system directory has been corrupted.
To resolve it, copy ${jdev.home}/jdev/multi/system/ide.properties to ${jdev.home}/jdev/system9.0.4.x.x/
This issue is resolved in 10.1.3 (toolbar items are defined in extension manifests, which not written during termination of the ide).

SAP Web Page Composer: Detailed Navigation is not getting built

I am new at this forum. At first I´d like to say hello to everybody! :]
Our issue concerns the following:
We started to work mit the Web Page Composer to build websites für our workers. Everything worked fine until the detailed WPC-navigation is not getting built anymore. We have this issue after a portal restart. Every steps to build and publish a website were done the right way.
1. Publish navigation und paste it to the external connector of the role in the form "wpcnavigation:///wpcontent..."
2. Permissions and security zones were set. Even the super admin is not able to see the detaild navigation anymore.
It is still possible to put single webpages to iViews and then to display them in the portal. And every function of the Web Page Composer works fine. The caches are deactivated. I tried to build a new site with new pages and a new navigation but there is the same problem, no detailed navigation is shown in the portal navigation. The role is assigned to a user and he can see the role at the top navigation but when clicking on it no detailed navigation appears, just a blank page.
As I mentioned this iusse appears after a portal restart. What could be the problem?

I created a new role and also did the Initial Configurations but it still does not work. May be there is a problem with the external connector where I connect the WPC navigation with the portal navigation? I know it sounds confusing but is there may be a way I could "reset" the WPC configuration? Because at the moment I tried to merge roles the system saved "some configuration" and started to avoid displaying the detailed navigation. So if could delete/reset/change this configuration, it could be that the navigation will be displayed again? I do not unterstand, if I just use one role and so avoid merging roles it just should work again? Or I am on the wrong way? Hopefully I am not telling bull**** right now! :]
At this moment our system running SAP NetWeaver 7.00 SP18. The patch is only available at least SAP NetWeaver 7.00 SP20. We are probably going to upgrade in october to SAP NetWeaver 7.00 SP23 and then we can update the WPC, too. Our Basis said, I have to wait till october. Before this upgrade no updates will be done.

Navigation is not happening Tab Strip control after execution of PAI

I'm facing a problem in my dialog program.
Here I've a normal screen(200) which contains the tabstrip(3 tabs). Each tab has a subscreen area
(named header_ref1, line_ref1 and scedule_ref1 respectively).
screen 200's flow logic:
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
CALL SUBSCREEN header_ref1 INCLUDING sy-repid '0210'.
CALL SUBSCREEN line_ref1 INCLUDING sy-repid '0220'.
CALL SUBSCREEN schedule_ref1 INCLUDING sy-repid '0230'.
MODULE status_0200. "<- Here I've written the logic for changing the tab
"like when okcode header->first tab, line ->second tab
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
CALL SUBSCREEN header_ref1.
CALL SUBSCREEN line_ref1.
CALL SUBSCREEN schedule_ref1.
MODULE user_command_0200.
When I simply navigate between these tabs(without entering anything), its fine and when I enter something in the first/second tab's subscreen and navigate to the other tabs then also navigation is fine.
But when I enter something in the second tab nad trying to navigate to other tabs its not getting navigated. My second tab contains a table control.
To summarize, after the PAI execution of second tab navigation is not happening between the tabs
Helps to solve this problem are highly appreciated.

I suggest to do paging not in PBO but in PAI.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
MODULE change_tab.
MODULE change_tab. INPUT.
save_ok = ok_code.
CLEAR ok_code.

If that doens't help, remove your table control and check if that influence paging the tabs. If yes, then it has to be something with this table control i.e. mandatory fields are not filled or similar, which doesn't allow to leave the screen.

"main dictionary is not installed"

Hello AppleWorkers,
I copied AppleWorks from our flat panel to a new MacBook. It works perfectly in all regards so far as we can tell, except for SpellCheck. When we click on the SpellCheck button, it gives the message "main dictionary is not installed". Assuming the main dictionary exists on my flat panel, where is it, and, can I copy it over to the MacBook, and if so, where do I put it? Thanks,

Hi Jay,
When you moved AW over to the MacBook, did you copy the entire AppleWorks 6 folder (and contents) or just the AppleWorks 6 application?
It's necessary to bring the whole folder over.
If you've done that, you'll find the dictionaries in the AppleWorks 6 folder at
AppleWorks 6 > AppleWorks Essentials > Dictionaries.
To install, open any AppleWorks document then go:
Edit > Writing tools > Select Dictionaries..., select "Main Dictionary" then click Choose.
AppleWorks will take you to the correct folder, and will highlight the available "Main" dictionaries.
Repeat for each of the other dictionary types.

PS: The normal AppleWorks Software User agreement licence covers only a single installation on a single computer at any given time. To stay within terms of that licence AW should be removed from the 'old'machine when it is copied over to the 'new' one.

Adobe premiere elements 9 not editing

This is my second attempt to post (my last one a little while ago didn't appear).
I have bought the above package mainly to edit some club videos. It is driving me mad.

I have imported a video from my comcorder to the PC via ION EZ Converter. The video is stored as a .mpg file.
When I open up organiser the thumbnail is there.
The first time I opened organiser I somehow managed to drag the video to the left side of the screen and got a timeline but when I started it up I got sound but no picture. However, now when I open up organiser and go into EDIT, aand try to drag across I get automatically sent into video effects and can't go back!
I was told that the problem may be due to incorrect codecs and I have downloaded K-LITE MEGA Codec but that doesn't seem to have helped.
Before I did this I also got a message in elements
"we have detected an incompatible display driver. To get a better and faster playback performance please update your display driver.
Display driver details: NVIDIA Corporation - GeForce 8400M G7/PCI/SSE2 2.1.1"

The main menu does not show in explorer/PC!!

I have a problem that i hope somebody can solve. When i am publishing my site from iWeb directly to me.com the website is working fine. If i export the website and then preview it in explorer on PC the main menu does not appear for some reason. I would be greatful if somebody could give me an explination on what is wrong? Please!

Where are you "exporting" your site to?
The iWeb navigation menu will not show on a PC running IE if Java is turned off.
You can get round this by "hiding" the standard navigation using the "page" inspector and building your own.

so you have two options.
you can disable the item:
SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('YOUR_ITEM',ENABLED,PROPERTY_FALSE);or you can disable the navigation for that item (keyboard navigation):
SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('YOUR_ITEM',NAVIGABLE,PROPERTY_FALSE);Hope this helps you :)

Incoterms in PO not editable

Hi,
The requirement is not to allow changing the Incoterms in PO thro' change/release T. codes. only when creating PO thro' ME21N, this field can be editable.
Hence, I have configured thro' OLME-Purchase Order-Define screen layout at document level as detailed below.
AKTH/ME21/ME21N/NBF/PT0F - Incoterms part 1 and Incoterms part 2 as "opt. entry"
AKTV/ME22 - Incoterms part 1 and Incoterms part 2 as "Display"
But, in ME21N, the Incoterms at the PO header level is in display mode and so not editable.
Please guide me on how to proceed.
