Main screen is locked

Hi there, my iphone is locked somehow and i tried to unlock it at the main screen with the "Slide To Unlock" function but the whole screen is disabled? can anyone help Please..

You are unsure if you have the Passcode Lock enabled?
Not sure how you can be unsure about that.
If you have the Passcode Lock enabled, when doing an iPhone reset the Enter Passcode screen is provided first.
Your iPhone may have a hardware/touch screen problem. I would try restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup. Sync your iPhone with iTunes immediately before doing so to update your iPhone's backup, and to update any synced data such as contact info if needed.
If no change after restoring from your iPhone's backup, try as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.
If no change after that, you can call AppleCare at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

This sorted it for me:
Backup your iPhone to iCloud (I believe backing up to iTunes will work too). Now go to "Settings --> General --> Reset --> Erase All Content and Settings" to completely restore your iPhone to factory settings. Assuming you've backed up to iCloud, you'll be asked when setting up your iPhone if you want to restore from an iCloud backup. Choose that option and once your iPhone has restored itself from your backup, this annoying problem will finally be gone! (was for me anyway).
To restore from an iTunes backup, connect your iPhone to your computer, load iTunes. Click the File menu and select Devices > Restore from Back up.

Double click home button for camera to show up (and iPod). Notifications seem to show up on lock screen that way, too.

I am facing a new problem after a missed call. i phone will get freez on its lock screen after a miss call. Its seems that its main screen touch is not working properly. This problem occurs after each and every missed call.

Can I disable "Slide to Call" from main screen? Forced to take call on accidental swipe

I have an iPhone 4s with iOS7 and I seriously do not like the "Slide to Call" feature from the main screen and would like to disable it. I would still like to see notifications on the home screen. I have accidentally swiped a call amongst other notifications and NO FUNCTION BUTTONS POP UP TO LET ME CANCEL THE CALL!. Seriously. A blank screen. I make an accidental swipe and now have to talk to someone I didn't want to talk to at the time.
Let me better describe the situation.
The 4s phone was locked. I had received a call and a text which were displayed on the home screen. I attempted to swipe the text, but hit the call. NO BUTTON, I had a blank screen and the call was going off in the 4s ear piece. I had to take the call or look totally stupid. I was just so angry that there was no way for me to end the call. In the second after the connection was made, after having held it to my ear and moved it away a few times, the buttons (End, speaker, etc) finally appeared.

You can always press the Sleep/Wake button.
If you have the iPhone ear-phones on, you can press the the remote button also.

How can i put my apps onto my main screen

I have just updated my iphone, wish i didnt. but all my apps arent on my main screens, how can i put them on the screen?

Press and hold your finger on any app icon until they start 'jiggling'. Then move them to wherever you like. Then press the home button to lock them in place.

It's possible that the orientation is locked in landscape (horizontal) mode. You wouldn't notice that on the home screen as it only displays in portrait (vertical mode) but would see it when you open messages. Open Control Center (on the home screen swipe up with one finger from below the bottom of the screen); orientation lock is at the far right of the top row -- looks like a lock with circular arrow around it. The same icon will display on the menu bard when orientation is locked.

ATV2 - Clicking Shared Library Under Computers Loops Back To Main Screen

I see this issue following the upgrade to 4.2 on my ATV2. As the title says, when I click on my shared library under "Computers" from the main screen, it briefly shows the next screen and immediately loops back to the main screen. This is true regardless of the remote I'm using - Logitech Harmony One or the Remote app from iPad or iPod Touch. Navigating all other screens works fine from all 3 remotes. I've tried turning off/on Home Sharing - no joy.
Essentially, I'm locked out of any content from my iTunes library. Please help.

I don't believe it's anything to do with the remote. My first inclination is that something about your network or library is causing issues with the new software. Have you tried any basic troubleshooting like restarting all the devices (Inc. The router) or anything else.

Ok, i gave up about making the clock smaller, but now if i did remove the clock and the date from the main screen. How can i remove also the operator name ? That's "Vodafone RO".

Never seen before interface while cleaning screen in lock mode came up looking like player with some weird buttons.

Go into iPod and play a song. While it's playing, click the standby button to lock/standby your phone and again to wake it (locked), then press the menu button twice. (This should also work if you play a song, press menu once to return to the main menu, then click menu twice. If not, there's a setting to turn it on.)

Screen problems - black screen and lock-up (plus HDMI issues)

Hi, I'm not sure if these are related to the same fundamental issue, but they are both serious problems that need resolution.
I have a new mid-2012 MBPretina. I am on all the latest updates (10.8.2).
The first problem is the most recent, and the most serious problem. Since I updated the Java a couple of days ago I've been experiencing random black screens and lock-ups. Essentially, what happens is that sometimes when I perform an action (opening an app, clicking a link on a webpage, performing other kinds of in-app actions, etc.) the computer screen will go black. About half the time I can, through my own memory, try keyboard combinations to quit or force quit the most recently used app (the one where the action was just performed), and I will get some glimpse of the underlying apps, while the menubar and other areas will remain black until I move a window on top of the black space. Sometimes no key combinations work and I am forced to perform a hard restart with the power button. This is a serious issue, obviously, since I will lose current work/progress in my apps. I'm not sure if this is because of the new Java update, or has to do with something else, but it started happening shortly thereafter, over the last 2 days. I work most of my waking day on my laptop, and this "black screen of death" has happened about 5 or 6 times a day.
The second problem I have been experiencing since I starting using my MBPr with external HDMI displays in August/September. The problem is that I will plug the MBPr into an HDMI display, the screen will temporaliy go black, and then bring me to the login screen (as if it's crashing, albeit softly). This happens about 1 out of 4 times nowadays.
How can I fix these problems, especially the first?

UPDATE:
Clearly there's a problem because a third of the way through a clean reinstallation from scratch it black screened again. Hmmmm.
Now this is not good. Problem is I can't rule out potential updates from Apple that might have caused this either.

How can I move pictures from Finder to a folder on my main screen?

I'm trying to put a bunch of photos that are currently in Finder into a folder on my main screen so I can drag them easily onto photo printing sites. How do I do that?

I learned that the Dock is positioned at the chosen edge of whatever Display is positioned farthest to that side. E.g. for the Dock to be positioned on the right side of the Cinema Display (instead of the right side of the MacBook), the Cinema Display must be oriented (by dragging) to the right of the MacBook monitor on the "Arrangement" tab of the Displays Preference Panel.
