Mainframe (CICS) adapter connectivity?

I have not been able to find, if there is any built in way to talk to a legacy mainframe through the Oracle BPEL system.
Please enlighten me if there is, and I am just not finding it.
Other than a 3rd party adapter...

There is an Oracle Adapter for CICS, which integrates with both Oracle BPEL Process Manager and OracleAS. In Oracle Service Bus (OSB), if I need to make outbound CICS calls from Business Service how would I go about doing it? Is there an adapter available from Oracle or a third party that will work with OSB 10.1.3.1 (R3)?

Yes Oracle has adapter CICS that is certified with BPEL/Mediator.
But this adapter is not released with SOA 11G.
Even after release, OSB JCA transport need to certify with this Adapter (Currently JCA transport only certified with Oracle AQ,Oracle E-Biz,DB) .
These are the few options I can think of
1) Ask Oracle to support JCA transport with CICS adapter. You can talk your requirement to Oracle Sales representative who can forward this to Adapter Product Management .and get back to you if Oracle can accommodate your request in the time frame you are looking. In this case Support would be through Oracle though Attunity is the OEM.
2) iWay is also one of the reputed Oracle Member Partner whom you can approach for the MainFrame CICS adapter.

CICS adapter - weblogic

Hi,
Would like to know more about CICS legacy adapter in Oracle SOA 11g ( 11.1.1.5 ). We have CICS applications in our environment and would like to use the CICS legacy adapter to connect to the same and we are using only weblogic server for runtime. Request to please comment on the below.
1) I believe the development environment will be Oracle Studio for legacy applications, and as such can we deploy the same in Weblogic server ? or the legacy adapters are tightly coupled to OracleAS ?
2) Using CICS adapter,can we connect to CICS server through CTG gateway?

PI7.1 JMS Adapter - connect to NW6.40

Hello,
We are facing following problem on SAP PI:
We have a scenario where PI (version 7.1) is connecting to another SAP NetWeaver system (version 6.40). There is an application that reads/puts messages from/to JMS Queues running on this system. PI has to connect the JMS Provider of 6.40 system and read/put these messages from/to these JMS Queues.
This scenario worked fine till we used XI 3.0 (NW6.40). We configured sender JMS channel with link to remote JMS Server and parameter "force_remote".
After installation of new PI7.1 we noticed some issues:
1.the connection is unstable. Sending JMS messages from PI to NW6.40 queue works a while but then we get error like this:
Adapter Framework caught exception: Unable to write new JMS message body for message: 00237d29-13fc-02ed-ba85-01d046631592: ConnectorException: Connector for ConnectionProfile of channel: EON_CC_jms_rcv_omsmessageon node: 922834950 having object id: 70855b1c6c483e869982ea2fe9787b36 was unable to create a new javax.jms.TextMessage message: javax.jms.IllegalStateException: Session is closed.
2. we cannot read messages from JMS Queue of NW6.40 at all. The messages are there in queue, communication channel is running and succesfully connected to queue but no message is processed and no error shows in communication channel monitoring.
Has anybody solve similar problem with connection between 7.1 and 6.40 NetWeaver?
I think the problem can be backward incompatibility of 7.1 SAP JMS libraries against 6.40. If this is true then the question is whether it is possible to deploy old libraries and run them simultaneously with native 7.1 libraries?

The timeout issue can be because the server is not reachable or not responding.
Please monitor the network connection and check if your request is able reach the target SFTP server.

Just purchased an 11" Mac Book Air, and I'm using it as a desktop. Is it ok to lea the power adapter connected all the time?

I'm using my macbook air as a desktop unit, with an auxiliary flat panel display, as well as an external storage drive and a CD/dvd drive. Is it safe to leave the power adapter connected to the computer all the time? Will the battery life get affected or shortened by being fully charged all the time?

Apple recommends that for best battery life, you allow the battery to discharge occasionally.

BizTalk 2010 SQL adapter connection to SQL2014.

I tried to connect BizTalk 2010 SQL adapter connection to SQL2014. The adapter found the database but the test connection said it would not connect.

Invoke BPEL from CICS Adapter

Hi All,
I can see from the CICS adapter documentation that SOA Suite can invoke CICS Transactions for a Request-Response style communication.
But I want to know if CICS transaction starts the communication.
e.g. if a CICS transaction triggered on user event, needs some data from a BPEL process, how to start such a communication.
Is there any workaround if this is not provided out of the box.

Cannot add Adaptive Connectivity Service to APS (FWM 02059)

Hello,
I finished installation of another instance of BOBJ 4.1 SP3 a while ago and now I am trying to split APS. At first time, I used System Configuration Wizard, and set slider from XS to S (spliting APS into 4 APS). SCW finished with FWM 02059 error saying:
The service container connected to the server ID xxxx does not support the service ID xxxx. (FWM 02059).
At second time, i've made 4 APS manualy, but when making APS with Adaptive Connectivity Service, error message above appeared again.
At this moment Adaptive Connectivity Service is not on any server and I am not able to add it anywhere.
Do you have any idea how to solve this issue?

Tomas, this is a known issue in SP 03. you should be able to find the KB article on SMP with the error message.
I think there is a script in the KB article which you can use as a workaround.
