File Adapter Exception 'The transaction is marked for rollback.'

Hi, folks!
I have sometimes a problem with different FileAdapters. They throw the following exception...
com.sap.engine.services.ejb.exceptions.BaseTransactionRolledbackLocalException: Exception thrown in method process. The transaction is marked for rollback.
The only thing that helps is to restart the AdapterEngine.
Could someone please help me?

I have an ASE db that is in a RECOVERY state.

Does anyone know what this means?
There is a SAP BW running on ASE 15.7.
I am an SAP consultant working onsite at a client and the environment is down due to the DB being in this state.

ASE tracks the free space available on each segment in memory.
If the server is shut down politely, ASE can store the current values on disk and retrieve them at startup. However, if the server is shutdown abruptly (shutdown with nowait, crash, power failure, kill -9, etc.) the free space figures don't get written out. In that case ASE has to recalculate the free space values by reading all the allocation pages or OAM pages in the database. On a big database, that can take time.
Your main choices are to
1) wait it out
2) set the "no freespace accounting" database option and reboot
Disabling free-space accounting for data segments
While recovery will be much faster with freespace accounting turned off, there are side effects such as unexpected 1105 errors (no free space...) and thresholds not firing as expected. In general I'd advise waiting it out and trying to avoid the use of "shutdown with nowait" going forward (which may or may not be what brought the server down, but it is the main cause you can control).

How to get the connected Adapter Object for a particular BDoc Type?

I have a scenario in which CRM system is connected to ERP system.
In SMW01 transaction, I can see one BDoc with BUS_TRANS_MSG as the BDoc Type in CRM.
Now, how do I get to know if this one BDoc is a SALESDOCUMENT or SALESCONTRACT.
Is there any way thorough which I can get to know the Adapter Object for this particular BDoc.

In Transaction : R3AC1.
You can observe the Linked BDOC for the adaptor objects. For example Sales docuemnt and Sales contrcat will have the same linked BDOC as "BUS_TRANS_MSG".
If you see an error in SMW01, you want to find whether it is salesdocument or contract.
1. Please take the Queue name from SMW01.
from the queue name you can find whether it is sales contract or sales document.
Queue name is customized in tables: SMOFQFIND.

I have created a lengthy slideshow with music on my MacBook Pro under Iphoto. What steps do I need to take in order to burn a DVD copy of this slideshow? "Help" does not offer info for this transaction, only if you want to export to another Apple device and it shows that you must first export to Itunes. Can anyone help me with information on just copying to a DVD? I don't want to email it or show it on another Apple device. I want to be able to burn multiple copies on DVDs as a gift...... Can it be done? I'm not real computer savvy

Connect the device to the computer.
In iTunes, select the content desired to sync.
Sync.
This is all described in the User's Guide, reading it may be a good place to start.

Adapter Module for File Adapter

I have a scenario where I have 2 related files (text file and a pdf file) for the message. I need to enhance the payload (content conversion from text file) with the size of the pdf file. I have developed a adapter module for this and it is working fine if there is 1 set of text and pdf file. But if there are more than 1 set of files, it is processing the first set and giving the below error for other files.
"Error: com.sap.engine.services.ejb.exceptions.BaseTransactionRolledbackLocalException: Exception thrown in method process. The transaction is marked for rollback."

Suppose customer specific (Y & Z) Transaction/Sales-Document types and customer specific item categories are created in CRM or ECC. These cannot be downloaded via any(initial, delta n synchronization) of the downloads. We have to do this manually as there is no standard adapter object available for these.
So as the item category determination. It should be done manually.
In ECC Item category determination, we need sales document type (say ZOR) and item category (say ZTAN). These will not be replicated or downloaded to CRM.
So we need to create them manually in CRM and also the item category determination should be done manually.
If any sales-document-type / Transaction-Type or item category is created newly in ECC/CRM in production environment, item category determination should be done manually in ECC and CRM for those newly created ones after creating them in CRM and ECC.

As described in the Technote 10981 some Forte programs (Nodemanager and
router) handle correct the high-file descriptor-use problem. It is possible
that Forte interpreter do it correct too.

Actually, the stuff works in interpreted mode.
It's only when having the server partition compiled that this happen.

Hi everyone! I'm new here and I searched to find some info about USB OTG cable related to nokia 701 and did not find any. I have a question/problem. I bought a USB OTG cable and it worked with my 701. But It was telling me it is using a lot of power and after a few minutes(1-2) it tells me device is not supported and to disconnect device. After that I tried 3 different usb sticks and all are not supported. I let it go for 2 weeks and tried again and the same story: first is seeing the usb sticks, then not supported. What is the problem? I do not understand. Any ideea? Thanks

I am looking for a way to identify my AC adapter info. I have two adapters, one is 65W and the other is 90W. From /proc/acpi/ac_adapter/AC/state, I can only check if power adapter is connected, but I want to extract the detailed power adapter information. Something similar to /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info.
In addition, I want to write some bash script that behave differently depending on if power is plugged in. Is there a way to get informed after user plug in/pull the power cord? I can continuously cat /proc/acpi/ac_adapter/AC/state, but I want a more elegant solution such as catching the event or signal.

I found a possible solution at this site:
"Proposed Fix Directions:
1. Make sure your system is fully up to date, either by running Update Manager, or "sudo apt-get -y update && sudo apt-get -y upgrade && sudo apt-get -y dist-upgrade" Be sure to reboot your system when finished.
2. Install the KernelCheck debian from http://kcheck.sourceforge.net/download.html if you havent already (make sure your running the latest version if you have).
3. Use typical installation to build your kernel. You could use custom if you like, but I find that none of the options (including nvidia options) were required.
4. When the graphical version of the kernel config displays (towards the end, takes a while because it has to download a bunch of packages to prep your system for building the kernel, as well as download and extract the linux sources for the new kernel), search for or find "AC Adapter" (the related kernel config key you are looking for is ACPI_AC, but I didnt check if that was searchable). Make sure to select it such that the checkbox next to it is a DOT not a CHECK (this based on the help instructions tells the system to compile ACPI_AC as a module, which is the whole reason to recompile the kernel). Once you are done hit SAVE (very important otherwise your changes are lost), and exit the graphical config.
5. From here the kernel will compile and be packaged as a deb for you, as well as installed automatically. Like it says, it really does take 2-4 hours, so come back in a bit.
6. Reboot your system and thats it. From now on it should detect the ac adapter correctly, and it shouldnt throw out any ACPI errors in the startup log. You can check that it worked by looking at "dmesg | grep ACPI | less" and looking for "ACPI: AC Adapter [AC] (on-line)" (towards the bottom)"

Hang on copy: "btrfs-transacti:282 blocked for more than 120 seconds."

Lately (at least after upgrading to linux 3.15), when I try to copy lots of files between btrfs partitions, I'm getting these "IO hangs" (not sure what to call it) where I can use the system fine as long as I don't try to read/write from my btrfs /home. So I can log in as root and look around, but as soon as I try and ls some random dir within my btrfs /home, it blocks and I have to log in from a different tty to use the system.

It may be that it would unhang itself if I waited a really long while, but haven't had the patience to wait and see yet. I do run nightly backups between the btrfs partitions and the computer seems fine each morning though …

Same thing for me when running rsync... It also corrupted my filesystem. So I restored from a backup and I'm using XFS@LVM@dm-crypt for the time being.

you are doing the export with a non-unicode SAP codepage. The codepage has to be 4102/4103 (see note #552464 for details). There is a screen in the sapinst dialogues that allows the change of the codepage. 1100 is the default in some sapinst versions.

How do I find the FTP info for my site?

I created a site with Wix.com. Since then I've been exploring Dreamweaver, and the author of "Dreamweaver for Dummies" suggets that the best way to make changes to my existing site is to use Dreamweaver's FTP capabailities to download the existing pages. But Wix doesn't support FTP -- so they tell me, and simpleurl.com (where I regeistered my domain name) and which is somehow involved in the posting of my site) can't help either. Here's the Dreamweaver page that I need to fill in.

Yup, it's basically free, altho you can upgrade a little, as I've done.
And I took
a careful look at the "source" for the pages I've created. That code will
show
nothing of what I've written -- text-wise. It's all stored on the Wix
servers
and accessed with various scripts. You can re-locate your Wix-created site
after 60 days -- not before. So the suggestion I got from the "...Dummies"
book doesn't apply here.
Nonetheless, I'm going to continue to learn how to use Dreamweaver. Maybe
after my 60 days are up I'll wanna move it. Don't know.

ITunes is asking for payment info for a child's AppleID

All iPads have been updated to OS8. Desktop is waiting for Yosemite. My child (age10) has had an Apple ID for many years with a false birthday. I am trying to get Family Share to work correctly and turn on Ask to Buy. My child is the only member of my Family Share
After browsing support posts, I retroactively changed the date to the youngest possible (age 13) as many other parents have done. Before the Family Share existed, I used to split the AppleID on my child's iPad so that I could share content. Many years ago, when I set up my child's personal AppleID, I set up her iPad with iCloud using her AppleID, and iTunes using mine so that purchases had to be approved and my AppleID could maintain all the kid-friendly content I'd been purchasing for years. When I first set up family sharing, I forgot that iTunes will was using my Apple ID, so when I tried to turn on "Ask to Buy" I got a message saying
"Cannot Enable Ask to Buy"
Adin is sharing purchases from an
account also used by another family
member. Ask to Buy can be enabled
only on accounts that are not shared.
So I logged out of iTunes on my child's iPad and used her AppleID instead. But then iTunes wanted credit card info for purchases, so obviously iTunes does not recognize that she is a child in my Family Share plan. I can't troubleshoot the problem on my Mac because Yosemite isn't available yet. I opted to leave my child's AppleID logged into iTunes, on her iPad, without payment info. I still get the same message when I try to turn on Ask to Buy for my child from my iPad.
HELP!

Run System Profiler. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac", then "More Info..."
Check under both Applications and Frameworks for Quicktime. Applications are the actual Player application itself. I believe Frameworks is the underlying system software support. If you see something different there it might be that about which iTunes is complaining. On my computer both say the same, but I'm not having the issue.
I'm guessing here but if you re-installed the system using Archive and Install, your applications were left intact and that's why your Player is 7.7, but all your system software (includingQT framework) was replaced with earlier versions which may be why the you're seeing different versions. iTunes doesn't need the Player, but it does need the underlying QT software.
