* Setting preferences when there is no concert open now works as expected.
* Parameter tabs now maintain a consistent order for multimapped parameters in duplicated patches.
* Changes to "send Program change" and "send Bank change" in patches are now reliably saved.
* Recordings in Loopback are now reliably maintained when Play on patch change is used while the transport is running with "Snap to:" set to "Bar/Beat."
* Count-in now starts immediately on play in the Loopback and Playback plug-ins.
* Setting a Loopback and Playback plug-in the same group and then recording to the Loopback no longer causes MainStage to quit unexpectedly.
* Issues that sometimes caused the metronome to drift out of sync with the Playback and Loopback plug-ins are resolved.
* MainStage remains responsive when making tempo adjustments in concerts that contain multiple instances of the Loopback plug-in with sync enabled.
* The "Start with Play Action" command now reliably triggers all instances of Playback and Loopback in a group.
* An issue that sometimes caused a small section of unexpected audio to sound when switching to a patch with Playback that had previously been stopped with the "instantly silence previous patch" command is resolved.
* The "Begin Finding Patch in Performance" key command now works properly with patches whose names start with numbers.
* Using the Undo command after deleting an object that is a member of a group in the workspace now correctly maintains the object's group membership.
* Control labels are now correctly displayed when switching from full screen view to layout view.
* An issue that caused the workspace in layout view to be invisible when remote connecting to a computer running MainStage with no display connected is resolved.
* An issue that caused objects to become ungrouped when dragging them from the palette to the workspace is resolved.

MAINSTAGE 2.2: Sustain pedal triggering E3 note on MainStage and making notes get stuck
Hey guys! I've been having issues recently with my MS and can't find to know why. I want to start of with a detailed list of what I'm using to know if this helps.
- MacBook Pro OS X 10.9 (8gb RAM and intel 2.26 core 2 DUO)
- MainStage 2.2. (32 bit)
- Keyboard controller (I normally don't take a keyboard with me but instead use my Macbook Pro to trigger sounds through MS and use the KB just as a controller, but normally I use Yamaha Motif KB's - this actually varies!)
- MIDI-IN and OUT to USB cable
- Normal, regular sustain pedal (FYI, checked that polarity is on the correct possition already!)
- Korg NanoPAD 2
- Korg NanoKONTROL 2
- USB splitter to connect (NanoPAD 2, NanoKONTROL 2 and MID-IN and OUT TO USB cable)
- Apoogee Duet 2 (connected to the most powerful USB port)
So here's the issue and what I've done to try to fix it (Troubleshooting) and also, what I know that is not affecting MS as in connections, hardware and routing processes.
ISSUE:
Every time I press the sustain pedal it triggers E3 note and it toggles between Sustain and this E3 note.
Every time I try to ASSIGN the sustain pedal in LAYOUT mode, press the ASSIGN button, hold and release the sustain pedal, it toggles between "Sustain" and "E3" noted assigned to the sustain pedal
TROUBLESHOOTING:
- I've made sure that the sustain pedal is connected to the right input on the back side of the KB (controller)
- I've made sure that the polarity is correct (switched it just in case - not working still!)
- In LAYOUT mode I ASSIGNED the pedal correctly to my sustain pedal (when it is on "Sustain" it is still triggering this E3 note)
- I've tried going through "ASSIGNMENTS & MAPPINGS" down to "PORT 1 USB2.0-MIDI" wich is the MIDI port that is shown on my MacBook Pro, and verify that it is showing "64 (Sustain)" as the mapped assignment and "SEND TO ALL" parameter (so it is triggered through all of my sounds)
- I've tried going to WORKSPACE and manually MAP PARAMETER the sustain pedal, but when I do this, it still shows that E3 note is being triggered.
- I've tried a clean boot of MS (same thing)
- I've tried a OS X clean boot (same thing)
- I've tried changing the MIDI-IN and OUT USB cable (3 different ones)
- I've tried connecting ONLY (NO SOUND DEVICE or Korg Nano devices nor USB splitter device connected) the MIDI-IN and OUT USB directly to the computer and into different USB ports (still the same thing!)
- I've tried different sustain pedals
What are your thoughts guys? Do any of you guys know how to fix this or have exp. this before? This is really strange and I'm actually thinking that it might be my Macbook Pro USB ports that are going crazy! One thing that I noticed is that sometime ago the MIDI DEVICE that was shown on "MIDI STUDIO" in System preferences was named after "USB MIDI CABLE" and now it is not available to use. Instead, now it is showing as "USB2.0-MIDI" and that's the one that is being used by my Mac. An interesting thing is that when I try "TEST" in MIDI STUDIO and play my KB, it does nothing .... no sound is heard as a MIDI signal being fed to my Mac.
PLEASE HELP! Need to fix this URGENTLY!!!
Blessings!
HIf we can't figure out why it's sending a note on command, let's just find a way to make it stop. First, go to layout mode, select the sustain pedal, and make your settings manually(don't press the assign button). Set it as you described above.
In Layout mode: (when toggled to sustain pedal)
Screen Control Inspector
Hardware Input
Device: Port 1 USB2.0-MIDI
Channel: Channel 1
Type: Press/Release
Number: 64 (Sustain)
MIDI thru: Automatic
Send Value to: None
Next, copy the sustain pedal control(the easiest way is command>C then command>V). It will look like this:
Select the new pedal and manually set it to:
In Layout mode: (when toggled to sustain pedal)
Screen Control Inspector
Hardware Input
Device: Port 1 USB2.0-MIDI
Channel: Channel 1
Type: Note On/Off
Number: C-2
MIDI thru: Do not pass Through
Send Value to: None
The idea is to send that unwanted note the the lowest note(0) so it won't be in the way. I don't know if it will work for you, but it's worth a try. -

I've tried changing the jdk on which JDeveloper is running (to jdk 6, latest release, 32 bit; I know it isn't guaranteed to work) and it fixed a problem with Aero, but didn't fix the other problem.
Is there something I can do? I don't have access to the classes, but it seems to me there is something it doesn't find. Is there a workaround?
Should I try have JDeveloper work on a 64 bit jdk?
Thanks for the help
Just an update: switching to 64bit JDK didn't change anything
Edited by: user8293834 on 14-dic-2009 12.21 - updateLet me rephrase: when one scrolls using page up or down keys, or by using a mouse wheel, the source code lines ( and characters) appear partly only, either distorted or overlapping with each other, in such a way that one cannot make out what has been written. I hope the above clarifies the problem in question. In such a case a screen shot might actually serve us perfectly.
I have already given your suggestion a try, without any success.
Thanks anyway very much for your reply!
Any other helping hand available?
TIA! -
Windows 7 64-bit drivers for HP ScanJet 6200c
Hello HP,
Will you be releasing 64-bit drivers for the ScanJet 6200c?
Regards, Dean.Vuescan worked beautifully and without a hitch on Window 7 64 Home Premium.
The price was $39.99. It provided integration with my apps such as Word 2003, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and others.
The Vuescan interface is acceptable.
Definitely my pick over yet another uncessary hardware purchase.

64 bit OS and Applications for Mac Pro
I was all set to replace my ailing G5 PM with a MBP when Apple released the Mac Pros today. I originally bought the G5 because I wanted to be able to run 64 bit software when that became the standard. With the switch to 32 bit Intel chips, I thought that was no longer a concern. With Woodcrest chips in the Mac Pro, however, I guess it is.
When the 64 bit Leopard is released and developers also release 64 bit software, will it all run on the 32 bit MBPs? Apple has said that the 64 bit machines will run 32 bit software side-by-side, but I am worried about compatability in the other direction.
Dual 2.0 G5 Mac OS X (10.4.6)I'm an active ADC member, paid developer account through for work, though I do not believe it's up on ADC yet to download for dvelopers as preview release. It would be in the next week or so i'd think once they get it out to the higher-priority accounts/users. Apple was giving out a developer preview with all technologies and xcode3.0 and do-ddads to attendees at wwdc today after the keynote. i was lucky enough to be attending wwdc for work with my boss and another employee (at first i 'uged' it, but it is great so far! can't wait for tomorrow).
basicly you are right, its developer only (apple obviosuly and soon ADC members) as well as the dev preview that was handed otu at wwdc today -
SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR3 Developer Workplace Installation on Windows 7 64-bit
I am trying to install 32 bit version of NW 7.0 SR3 Developer Workplace (Max DB) on Windows 7 64 computer but the installation fails. Has any one tried this?
Is SAP planning to release 64 bit version of Developer Worlplace?
Edited by: Anand Bhambure on Aug 7, 2010 12:44 PMHi Julian,
I assume we are talking about NWDS 70X, because higher NWDS releases are fully supported on win7.
Please note that there is a difference between something is working and whether we can provide support for it.
See the official statement on this in the note:
#1566977 - NWDS on Windows 7
which says:
7.00:
There are successfull installations of NWDS 7.0x running inside and outside of SAP.
Please make sure that the NWDS is running on a supported and correctly configured JDK.
Please acknowledge that while you may successfully install and run NWDS 7.0x on Windows 7 this still is not a supported OS! Running NWDS 7.0x on Windows 7 is at your own risk.
Best Regards,

How to reference MS Access database in ColdFusion MX 7 on 64-bit Windows
I am migrating customers from:
Windows 2000 Server (fully patched)
Internet Information Services (IIS) 5
ColdFusion 5
to:
Windows Server 2003 Standard x64 Edition (fully patched)
Internet Information Services (IIS) 6 (running in 32-bit
mode)
ColdFusion MX 7 (7.0.2) Standard
Unfortunately, some of these existing customers are still
using Microsoft Access databases instead of SQL Server. Having all
of these existing customers migrate to SQL Server is not yet
practical. On the old Windows 2000 / ColdFusion 5 server, they are
using OLE DB data sources to reference the MS Access databases
using the "Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0" provider. None are configured
to use ODBC drivers when referencing MS Access or SQL Server.
I have yet to figure out how to get ColdFusion MX 7 to:
- Create a data source that references MS Access databases on
64-bit Windows.
- Reference an existing MS Access data source created with
the 32-bit version of the ODBC Data Source Manager on 64-bit
Windows.
A bit of background information regarding MS Access on 64-bit
Windows:
- At the time of this writing, Microsoft has not
created/released 64-bit drivers for Microsoft Access and it's
unlikely they ever will, for understandable reasons.
- Contrary to seemingly popular belief, the Microsoft Jet 4.0
Database Engine does exist on 64-bit Windows. See the following
regarding version and file location information:
How to obtain the latest service pack for the Microsoft Jet
4.0 Database Engine
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/239114
- You CAN create MS Access based data sources within 64-bit
Windows, but they have to be made using the 32-bit version of "ODBC
Data Source Manager". I'm assuming these DSNs may only be used by
32-bit applications, but I have not tested that theory.
32-bit data sources:
ODBC Data Source Manager:
%SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
Registry location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ODBC
Default file DSN directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ODBC\Data Sources
64-bit data sources:
ODBC Data Source Manager:
%SystemRoot%\system32\odbcad32.exe
Registry location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC
Default file DSN directory:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\ODBC\Data Sources
The 64-bit version of "ODBC Data Source Manager" (under
Administrative Tools) only show "SQL Server" and/or "SQL Native
Client" as options when creating new data sources, unless
third-party software is installed that supplies additional drivers.
The 32-bit version of "ODBC Data Source Manager" (by default,
there is no shortcut for this in the Start menu) shows the typical
drivers seen on 32-bit versions of Windows, including SQL Server,
SQL Native Client, Microsoft Access, Excel, FoxPro, Paradox, etc.
When using ColdFusion Administrator in ColdFusion MX 7.0.2 in
64-bit Windows 2003 (IIS is running in 32-bit mode to allow
ColdFusion MX 7 to function at all), two problems are encountered
when dealing with MS Access (and presumably other 32-bit drivers).
In both cases, ColdFusion is trying to reference the registry
location for 64-bit data sources instead of 32-bit:
1. Creating a new data source within ColdFusion
Administrator:
Data Source Name: whatever
Driver: Microsoft Access
CF Data Source Name: whatever
Database file: (physical path to whatever.mdb)
(other settings are irrelvant for this example)
Error generated when submitting:
Unable to update the NT registry.
Cannot open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC.INI\ODBC
Data Sources: Windows error number 5 occurred.Access is denied.
ColdFusion stores the data source, however a "verify"
generates the following error:
Connection verification failed for data source: whatever
java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC
Driver][ODBC Socket]internal error: Data source name not found and
no default driver specified
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException:
[Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC Driver][ODBC Socket]internal error:
Data source name not found and no default driver specified
2. Creating the data source using the 32-bit version of "ODBC
Data Source Manager" then trying to reference it with ColdFusion:
ODBC Data Source Manager:
System DSN or File DSN:
Name: whatever
Driver: Microsoft Access Driver (.mdb)
Database: (physical path to whatever.mdb)
(creation is successful within ODBC Data Source Manager)
Reference the above DSN within ColdFusion Administrator:
Data Source Name: whatever
Driver: ODBC Socket
Error generated when submitting:
Error accessing available odbc datasources. - Cannot open
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC.INI\ODBC Data Sources:
Windows error 2 occurred. The system cannot find the file specified.
ColdFusion MX 7 can't find the 32-bit data source on 64-bit
Windows because it's looking for it in the wrong registry location.
Can ColdFusion MX 7 be configured to look in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ODBC
instead of
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC
on a 64-bit Windows machine?Paul,
Thanks for the insight on this. Regarding the initial problem
I ran into with creating Access based DSNs, very early-on, I
noticed there were two different driver options for Access
displayed within ColdFusion MX 7 Administrator:
Microsoft Access
Microsoft Access with Unicode
For reasons I'm am still baffled over, I somehow completely
forgot about and through the wonders of apparent tunnel vision,
completely overlooked the "Microsoft Access with Unicode" driver
option when I was running through my tests.
At your seemingly-obvious suggestion, I created a data source
using the Microsoft Access with Unicode driver and it worked
perfectly fine with the one customer's web site I'm using for
testing (of course, this is a copy--the production site is still
housed on the old ColdFusion 5 server). This obviously doesn't
actually fix the underlying issue with ColdFusion looking in the
wrong part of the registry on 64-bit Windows, but at least when it
comes to dealing with Access databases, your suggestion of using
the Microsoft Access with Unicode driver appears to be a functional
work-around. So long as there aren't any surprises waiting for me,
hopefully this will also work for the remaining ColdFusion sites I
have to migrate that are using Access databases.
Since you mentioned JDBC drivers in comparison with ODBC, I'm
pointing out a couple of references in case they're helpful to
anyone following this thread:
ColdFusion MX 7 - About JDBC
http://livedocs.adobe.com/coldfusion/7/htmldocs/00001736.htm
Types of JDBC technology drivers
http://java.sun.com/products/jdbc/driverdesc.html
http://java.sun.com/products/jdbc/
I don't actually develop anything in ColdFusion, so I'm
dealing with all of this from a server administration standpoint
since we do have some domain hosting customers that do develop or
at least have existing ColdFusion based sites. I am all
too-familiar with the caveats of using Access in any kind of
production or heavily used environment and have spent years keeping
users away from ODBC. For ColdFusion users, that meant creating OLE
DB DSNs and often having to fix poorly written SQL statements and
fixing ColdFusion date-related values and boolean values (the
common problems encountered when switching CF / MS Access users
from ODBC to OLE DB). I can only recall running into problems with
a single SQL Server based ColdFusion site when migrating from ODBC
to OLE DB. That customer never did get their many coding problems
fixed, so they're the only ones still using ODBC in CF. I have no
idea what'll happen when that one site gets migrated over--if it'll
even work. Obviously a lot of things have changed between
ColdFusion 5 and the MX versions that have come along afterward.
Thanks again for the Access with Unicode driver tip and JDBC
info. It looks like I can finally start moving forward again with
the site migration process.

Can I run 32 bit version of Oracle 10g grid on Linux x86-64?
Since Oracle did not release 64 bit version of Oracle 10g grid for Linux X86-64. Can I run 32 bit version of Oracle 10g grid on Linux x86-64? If so did anyone tried this? and also any known issues?
All I had to do was use the 32bit version of "/usr/bin/gcc" and "/usr/bin/g++" to run the installation
That is:

bin]# mv /usr/bin/gcc /usr/bin/gcc323
mv: overwrite `/usr/bin/gcc323'? y
bin]# ln -s /usr/bin/gcc296 /usr/bin/gcc

bin]# mv /usr/bin/g++ /usr/bin/g++323
mv: overwrite `/usr/bin/g++323'? y
bin]# ln -s /usr/bin/g++296 /usr/bin/g++
AFTER INSTALLATION REMEMBER TO
move back the 64bit files to their former state.

Qsort issue with CVI 2012 in 64 bit mode
Possible CVI 2012 64 bit bug.
Qsort returns very slowly in CVI2012 in 64 bit release mode. Not sure if there are memory leaks or if function actually returns the correct answer as I fixed the problem before going back and isolating the issue to the code supplied. The issue seems to be resolved in CVI 2013.
In the example provided, an array is created, seeded, and sorted. Approximate timing results (with a chi by eye averaging) are given below for an array of 1e6 double values.
CVI 2012
32 bit debug 32 bit release 64 bit debug 64 bit release
4.5 seconds 0.32 seconds 4.3 seconds 44.0 seconds
CVI 2013
32 bit debug 32 bit release 64 bit debug 64 bit release
2.8 seconds 0.22 seconds 2.0 seconds 0.18 seconds

qsort test.zip 3 KBHey,
Thank you for your feedback, I compiled your code and you are right. In CVI 2013 the problem seems to be solved. Unfortunately, I can't place a CAR (correction action request) for CVI 2012 because the problem has been addressed by our R&D department.
Thanks again for your feedback. -
IAS 10g R2 on Windows 32 bit & on 64 bit environment
Hi ,
Can you please confirm whether IAS 10g R2 on Windows 32 bit will work on the 64 bit environment with the same performance?
I’m really wonder why Oracle is not releasing 64 bit windows media pack since now almost all the servers are on 64 bit architecture.
And please confirm whether we can download 64 bit windows media pack from OTN?
Regards,
NomanThis is a WebLogic AS forum, no Oracle AS. If you are using WL let us know, if not and you are using Oracle AS then you should post this question there. Hope it helps....

CanoScan Lide 70 and Twain 64-bit plugin
Is there a downladable Twain driver which is 64-bit, for using CanoScan Lide70 in Photoshop CS6?
There is no Twain support for 64 bit Photoshop unless you wish to try VueScan www.hamrick.com
Windows
In Windows, the Photoshop TWAIN plug-in can be used if you run Photoshop CS6 in 32-bit mode. TWAIN is not supported in Photoshop when it’s run in 64-bit mode. If you need a scanning solution when you run Photoshop CS6 in 64-bit mode, use the WIA (Windows Image Acquisition) interface for your device, if it’s available. WIA is also available for use when running Photoshop in 32-bit mode. Contact your scanner manufacturer for more information.
Mac OS
In Mac OS, you can use the TWAIN plug-in to scan when running Photoshop CS6 (Photoshop CS6 only runs in 64-bit mode). Not many scanner manufacturers have released 64-bit versions of their scanner drivers, so you may not be able to use TWAIN. Contact your scanner manufacturer for more information.
