Maintaining New SUBSTITUTION OBBH

Hello All,
I created new substitution. How ever upon running Activate Total trace to test the config, the new substitution I created does not work, but the older substitution works. Are there something I missed?

Hi,
Are you creating new substitution rule or creating a new step under the old rule.
If you are creating new substitution rule then you need to activate at company code level in OB28.
If you are creating new step then check in trace option.
As other said while running the program dont select last two check boxes and execute.

How to maintain Multiple Substitution (2003) Infotype

Folks,
I need to maintain multiple substitution for an employee on same date.
_Example:_
    Employee planned working time ( Infotype 0007 ) - Shift A ( 6 AM to 2 PM )
    But he has come in Substitution Shift B ( 2 PM to 10 PM ) instead of Shift A.
    Due to month end work , his senior manager may say him to continue Shift C also.
    ( It happens in Manufacturing industries )
   Now i need to maintain both Shift substitution in 2003 infotype.
   But system doesn't allows me to enter two Substituion for same date.
   Is there any solution for . If Yes , say me procedure.
   Answers will be rewarded.

No No, I am just asking you to make a decision based on your requiremnts and how your system is set up.
Entering a DWS OR star time and end time in IT 2003 will replace the planned working time in IT 0007. (Dont enter both at the same time)
So if you maintain the following times 0600 to 2200 in IT 2003, then the employee has a planned working time for 16 hrs, he does not get any benefit for working 8 extra hours. Is this the way you want system to work?
Normally under such circumstance, the employee will get compensated in some way for working extra hours. If this is how system should work, you should only enter 0600-1400 ( or whatever SHIFT B timing is ) in IT 2003 and enter the extra shift (Shift C) worked as Overtime.
I hope the above clarifies my answer.

Loading New Substitution Variables with Esscmd Script

Hi, I posted a topic awhile ago and haven't gotten any responses to help. I was wondering if tehre is a script to load NEW substitution variables into a database using an ESSCMD script. The UPdatevariable doesn't work if you don't already have variables in teh database loaded. I need to load them in. THANKS

while I have not had luck with ranges in report scripts, others have. You could have a substitution variable the is "Jun" "Jul " "Aug" or whatever you want the members to be. and it will replace jusr fine

Is it possible to create a new Substitution String?

Hi,
my question is:
Is it possible to create a new Substitution String?
My problem is, that I need a side with three level of tabs.
But in Apex there are only sides with two level of tabs.
And when I create a new template to create a three level of tabs side i need a substitution string for the third tab level.
Does anybody have an idea?

No but you could build a list that looks just like your tabs and use that as your third level tabs just use one of the region positions to position the pseudo list tabs.

I want to Maintain new inspection lot origin and assign inspection types .For Ex: 90, NoRange: 90 DCr :001 ,TL Type : S and Stat : 4 because i want to maintain TL Tpe S- reference operation set.

As per SAP std You can not create a Inpsection lot origine but you can certainly create a Inspection type.
Just a suggesion..
Try Inspection lot origin: 89 (Misc) NoRange: 90 DCr :001 ,TL Type : S and Stat : 4
and create Inspection type 90 with varient 01/02 in inspection lot origine 01.
This will solve your purpose

Substitution(OBBH) for the Local Exchange Rate

Hi Experts,
I have a problem with the Substitution in OBBH Transaction.
I have created a substitution for the BKPF-KURSF for substituting the Local Exchange rate.
When i debugged the Exit the new exchange rate is copied to the BKPF-KURSF field but before creating
the document it is getting overwritten.
The same Substitution is working in another system where the version is 4.7 but it is not working in ECC.
I would really appreciate if anyone can help me in solving this issue.

Hello Rob,
I have checked the note but i could not get any solution in that.
It seems the Substitution is working because when i checked in debugging,
the value is getting changed but after coming out of the substitution there is a standard code where the
value is getting over written.
The same code is working fine in 4.7 version.
Could you please let me know if we need to do anything else other than creating the substitution for
ECC version.

Business Place and Section type are not available in Substitution-OBBH

Hi,
We are going to make substitution for business palce and section type at line item level.But after defining prequisite , when we go for insertion of substitution field then we not finding field for business place & section type respectively.
Pl tell me how we can link these substituion field or may be some different step for linking field which we can get at the time of substitution.

Hi Dharma,
If you want get those business palce and section type fields as substitutions .You have check this Program VWTYGB01 in SM30.
In that select Maintain button and Remove the Exculde Flags in which you want selected fields like BSEG-BUPLA,BSEG-SECCO( business palce and section type )

Maintaining New excise rate

Dear all,
As per new excise rate 10% from 27.02.2010 on words
Normally, if the rate is fixed, we can maintain two periods( one is up to 26.02.2010 rate is 8% and second one is from 27.02.2010 to future date rate is 10%) in the condition records for the excise condition type. Is it enough ?
But, condition records maintained for the key combination of plant, material and customer combination (rates are not fixed for various export customer scenarios),
How to maintain these rates in condition records for various combinations?
Is there any method to update?
Please suggest the way

In normal circumstances, you have to maintain the ED percent in "Excise Tax Rate" in J1ID which is common across all plants under one Company Code.
However, due to some obvious reasons, based on material, you want to maintain a different duty, the same can be maintained in "Exceptional Material Excise Rate" for the combination of
a) Plant
b) Material Code
c) Customer / Vendor code
d) Valid from
e) Type of Duty
f) Valid To
g) Chapter ID and
h) Excise rate
The second option is being used only on occasional instances. This exercise has to be done manually by copy pasting the data from excel file.

Maintaining News and Links

Hello,
I am just getting started with KM and content management. This is probably a silly question, but when I go into Content Management/Explorer/Documents, I can see the folders for News and Links but cannot add/delete/edit entries in the News and Links folder.
Any advice is welcome!

It seems that you do not have permissions to do that in these folders.
To set the permissions for an item, choose Settings Permissions from the Details dialog box.

When using T Code OBBH, which user exit is not able to get the value of the financial document no and reference key,
Since i need to write a specific logic to get the value of the reason code from the material document during posting, may I request for some hints?

For material documents,
BKPF-AWTYP = 'MKPF'.
MKPF-MBLNR = BKPF-AWREF(10).
MKPF-MJAHR = BKPF-AWREF+10(4).
You can use MBLNR & MJAHR to get MSEG-GRUND field.

Maintain new storage location for existing material codes

Dear,
We want to extend material master to more storage locations. Currently we have coding starting from 910000 for finish material and is configured for storage location FG01, now we want to extend all the codes with 91 series to storage location PR06 & QC01
The same needs to be done for many other material codes with different series.

You can use extend the material from Plant to plant or from Storage location to storage location.
or 2nd is that Go to SE16 to get all material from MARD Table. then
export in Excel and go to Mass mainteince in material master to extend the material.

Maintain substitue

Hi Everyone,
              my requirement is to maintain substitue for a user on task basis,say for example the user will get PO and PR in his business workplace.i want to maintain one substitue for PO and one substitue for PR.
when i try to maintain the first substitue with profile 'ALL' he receives all the workitem PO and PR,but my intension is to restrict to PO workitem.i belive that i have to maintain some status profile in IMG settings.i have created status profile but under assignment what should i do.Require help here.

Thank you for your reply, i have created an Substitute Profile in the IMG settings and when it comes to assign substitute when i click on new entries i can give my substitue profile name and under classification i have
                    1 - professional,
                    2 - personal,
                    3- disiplinary ,
                    4- no_class - not classified.
I tried with 2 and 3 it didnt workout is there anything else that i miss.Plz let me know.

No transport request when a new sales office/ sales group is maintained

We have an ECC 6.0 system and when we maintain new sales office or sales group it doesnt ask us a transport request.
Proper settings are done in SCC4 and TMS is properly activated. I have already checked if there are any modifiable requests with the particular object for sales office(TVBUR).
But no request for this object exists.

Correct Settings are done in SCC4. Rest of customization asks for requests apart from Maintain Sales Office/Group.
The problem was resolved. In SE54 i checked for the table V_TVBUR and V_TVKGR which are for Sales Office and Sales Group respectively. If you display Generated Objects for these tables then you would see under Dialog Data Transport Details
Recorded Routines and two options
1 - Standard Recording Routine (which should be selected)
2 - No or User Recording Routine (which was to deny Transport request generation of the Table)
Select the First one and things were sorted out. You will have to take Access Key & Developer Key to change the table
