By using IMPORT and EXPORT statements we can store and access cluster tables

I was trying to implement the SE16 Data Browser at my localhost with the NW04s SneakPreviw.
But unfortunately, I found out an error that I am not able to solve.

Unable to view PDFs from the Safari browser.

I am using Safari 5.1 and Adobe Reader 10.1.0, running on OS 10.6.8. Until recently I had no problem but am now unable to view PDFs from websites. What I get is a totally black document. I can create PDF files which I can also open outside of the internet. Any ideas??

There seems to be an issue with Adobes plugin and Safari 5, your options are:
Wait for it to be updated.
Uninstall the plugin nd let Quicktime handle it.
Install Schuberts PDF plugin from http://www.schubert-it.com/pluginpdf/

Create view link between two view objects (from programmatic data source)

Hi Experts,
Can we create a link between two view objects (they are created from programmatic datasource ; not from either entity or sql query). If yes how to create the link; ( i mean the like attributes?)
I would also like to drag and drop that in my page so that i can see as top master form and the below child table. Assume in my program i will be only have one master object and many child objects.
Any hits or idea pls.

Easiest way to do this is to add additional transient attributes to your master view object, and then include those additional transient attributes in the list of source attributes for your view link. This way, you can get BC4J to automatically refer to their values with no additional code on your part.

Bingo Aditya!well,i was trying to fnd out SAP DB table which contains the node structure of IMG.Well it looks like im ter but no there yet:)..... tnodeimg in se16 and the tables has fields treeid,brotherid..parentid..etc.i tried entring tcode spro in all the fields and find out which one is executable but no luck!in which field should i enter the tcode spro ? and i chose img in node_type,is that correct?kndly point me in the right direction.and tried to run performance analysis(ST05),should only sql trace be selected or rest of them aswell(enqueue trace,rfc tarce,buffer trace)..trace function-display trace must be executed ,isnt it??

Aditya,i googled to find out use st05 and and found this
"goto st05 ---> select the trace mode ---> trace on for user ---> give the
t-code (u want to trace), user (from which user)
and if u like u can fill other fields also -
> trace on for user . Now
execute ur transaction & once ur over goto st05 ---> trace off
---> list trace (this will show u all). hope it helps u"
i navigated to st05 and selected sql trace as trace mode and actiavted trace ,gave the tcode (SPRO) and pressed enter and it popped up a screen with parameter name and profile values(showd me rstr buffer size,max files ,file name,max files) is that supposed to show me that?i continued and turned of trace and clicked display trace ..hpe i'm in the right direction.
i also went to st01 to rectify the eror system was throwing "error while reading trace file") and did see the trace list..
kndly me provide me detail steps to display structure :SAP ref IMG

Incoming emails not visable,cannot see Subject - from or date

in only 1 of my 4 accounts emails come in but are not visible to view Subject From and Date there are just bars across the field.
However in the lower preview section the full email is visible how do i fix this
I tried folder repair with no luck.
The computer is running windows 8
Thunderbird version 31.5.0

right click the folder, select properties and then the repair button, and we will see what is recovered.

How Can i Read data From Maintainance View

I Want read data from Maintainance View. i written select query
SELECT *
FROM J_1yyyyV
INTO TABLE GT_BUSPLACE.
WHERE BUPLA = LV_BUPLA.
this is giving following error
"J_1yyyyV" is not defined in the ABAP Dictionary as a table,
projection view, or database view.
Can you help me Please.

Hi raj,
maintainance view is a nothing but combinations of table using join on some fields..
see the relation ship between the joins..
if you want to write selection query ..go to se11 -->enter view name >and open tab>
Table/Join conditions--> see the table's involved and join conditons between tables.
and write the select query same as like the Table/Join conditions in se11..now you can acheive the
table maintainance fields..

It is not possible to retrieve the data from Maintenance view. Maintenance View is different and Database View is different.
Maintenance view : Maintenance view permits you to maintain the data of an application object together.The data is automatically distributed in the underlying database tables.
A standardized table maintenance transaction is provided (SM30), permitting you to maintain the data from the base tables of a maintenance view together.
In other words, Maintenance views enable a business-oriented approach to looking at data, while at the same time, making it possible to maintain the data involved. Data from several tables can be summarized in a maintenance view and maintained collectively via this view. That is, the data is entered via the view and then distributed to the underlying tables by the system.
Database View: Data about an application object is often distributed on several database tables. A database view provides an application-specific view on such distributed data.A database view is automatically created in the underlying database when it is activated.Database views implement an inner join.If the database view only contains a single table, the maintenance status can be used to determine if data records can also be inserted with the view. If the database view contains more than one table, you can only read the data.
Database views should be created if want to select logically connected data from different tables simultaneously. Selection with a database view is generally faster than access to individual tables. When selecting with views, you should also ensure that there are suitable indexes on the tables contained in the view.

   more than 1 table

It gives this error.
2. Maintenacnee views comprising only 1 table
   can be used in Select.
For eg. V_T001
V_T003 = Not allowed
PS:
3. The reason for this is :
   Any R/3 view having only one table,
   for such view, a physical view is created
   in the database.
   The records in it can be modified, inserted,deleted.
   (conditions apply)
   But for view having 2 or more tables,
   no physical view is there in the database.

How can I save an image directly from my pc browser to view later on my Ipad?

Hey all,
When I attempt to download an image from Firefox on my PC directly into an iCloud Photos shared album, I get the error message: "You can't save here. Please choose another location." If I navigate to the directory where my iCloud photos are stored within Windows 7, I am able to save the file, but it isn't shared. What is the proper way to save images from my PC browser to be viewed later on my iPad? Using Dropbox, this is simple. iCloud, not so much.

If you want to copy an attachment from an email then you can't do that directly from the Mail app. If the email is still on your provider's server then you should be able to read the email on your provider's site via a browser on your computer and save it from there directly on your computer. Otherwise you will need to copy the file from the Mail app to another app on your iPad via the 'open in' function. Do you have an app on your iPad that supports the type of file that you want to copy ? How you then copy the file to your computer will depend upon what the app that you copy it to supports - different apps have different ways of copying their content to/from a computer e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via your wifi network, dropbox etc

I wonder how a non-technical business analyst can use Report Builder 3 to create ad-hoc reports/analysis with list of parameters based on other data sets.
Do they need to learn TSQL or how to add and link parameter in Report Builder? then How they can add parameter into a report. Not sure what i am missing from whole idea behind Report builder then?
I have SQL Server 2012 STD and Report Builder 3.0 and want to train non-technical users to create reports as per their need without asking to IT department.
Everything seems simple and working except parameters with list of values e.g. Sales year List, Sales Month List, Gender etc. etc.
So how they can configure parameters based on Other data sets?
Workaround in my mind is to create a report with most of columns and add most frequent parameters based on other data sets and then non-technical user modify that report according to their needs but that way its still restricting users to
a set of defined reports?
I want functionality like "Excel Power view parameters" into report builder which is driven from source data and which is only available Excel 2013 onward which most of people don't have yet.
So how to use Report Builder. Any other thoughts or workaround or guide me the purpose of Report Builder, please let me know.

List View does not retain date formats from Excel

i am using List View control to isplay data. When i scroll the horizontal bar inlist view, the date format changes to numbers. is there were to stop this happening.

Hi Chandra,
Are you getting the values from any live connection or is it static data from the excel file?
You can also try to goto properties of component and in the appearence tab,select the format of the values as "DATE".
Incase you are getting the values from the live connection, you can select a different cell which would reference to the data coming from the connection and use it into the components.
e.g.: if values are coming in cell"A1" then goto some empty cell as B1 and type in"=A1" and use this new cell into the component.

Is it possible to read data from a web browser such as IE or Mozilla into a java applet for use and manipulation? If it is, could someone please post some documentation I could look at or a snip-it of code I could use? Thanks.

Download table data from se16 to excel

Hi I am trying to download table data from SE16 (field widths, descriptions etc) to Excel, but cannot as the option local file is greyed out under System>List>Save.
Table>Print doesn't let mn downlaod either, jsut print. As I have 50 tables to download, is there a better option than copy and paste into excel?

You can use the T-code SE11 for downloading the values from database table, after entering Table name ,
click on Display (F7), it will take you to new screen, then enter (CtrlAltF10),
Now enter the input values and execute.
