Maintaining work center list in Capacity Planning: Selection List in CM01

Hi,
Where can find the config route in SPRO for maintain work center into the Capacity Planning: Selection List in CM01?
Thanks a lot!
Min

Mandy,
Couple of combinations you should check,
1. First try to identify "Selection Profile" which is used. In "CM01" go to menu Planning->Profiles->Selection Profile.
2.Check the defination of this profile using transaction "OPA2". Here you need to look for "Work center Set" which is assigned.
3. Now look at the defination of the workcenter set using transaction "CMS3", here is were we define as how the list is to be fetched.
Hope this helps....Reward your points and close the thread if so,

  • Work Center Hierarchy and Capacity

    Hello SAP friends,
Can someone please help me with the following scenario?
    I have 3 Work Centers
    MAQ00 - (Capacity 10:00 x 2)
    MAQ01 - 8:00 -- 18:00 (Capacity 10:00)
    MAQ02 - 8:00 -- 18:00 (Capacity 10:00)
    I have a hierarchy
    HICY01
    MAQ00 - Root of hierarchy
    |_ MAQ01
    |_ MAQ02
    Then, I have a routing
    10 - PP01 - MAQ00 - 1H
    20 - PP01 - MAQ00 - 2H
If I go to CM01 for Work Center MAQ00 I can see the capacity and requirement, where:
    Capacity: 10:00 x 2
    Requirement: 3:00
But if I go to transaction CM21 for Work Center MAQ00 the capacity and requirement is not correct. Can someone please help me with this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Adelmo Silva

    Hi,
CM01 will give the cumulative requirement as 3 hrs but CM21(Gradhical View) shows the individual spread of oprn. 10 and 20 as 1H and 2 H resp.
    Does the above help you?

  • How to construct Work center Hirerchy in Production Planning.

    Hi Experts,
How to construct Work center Hirerchy in Production Planning.
    Thanks in advance.

    Amit,
I guess you must have overlooked the rules of engagement for this forum. It is customary for questioners to first perform basic research before posting any questions.
First, search in the forums (search box in the upper right of this page). FYI The question you raised has been covered dozens of times.
Next, check online help. This help is generic, and not generally specific to a particular industry:

Next, look for generic solutions solutions in Best Practices. Basic index at

Next look for industry specific solutions in Best Practices:

Next search in one of the standard online search engines (such as Google).
Only after you have performed all of these tasks, and studied all of the online help that is supplied for free by SAP, should you then consider posting a question to these forums.
If you are unwilling or unable to perform such research, then you should probably engage a consultant to assist you. All consultants use searches to assist them in designing and executing solutions. If you intend to one day become a consultant, you would be wise to cultivate this skill.

  • CAPP Functionality and Custom Z table when maintaining work center standard

    Hi,
i have to do enhancmenet to transaction CR02,
Production planning needs to update PP routers with Standard Values that pertain to setup, machine, labor, man calculation, machine calculation.  They will use CAPP functionality to accomplish this. Work centers will be classified with characteristics identified as CAPP standard values. The actual standard values will be assigned to each work center using transaction CR02, program SAPLCRA0. The work centers will be classified and standard values assigned.Upon saving the work center entries, the system needs to update the Z table with the assigned characteristic values and store the information by plant and work center. When the CAPP program is executed, the program will go a Z table where the work center characteristics are stored.

What if I really don't care about the old historical values??? I only want to populate this information from this point forward. Would that change your mind as to which method to choose???
In this case, you can use the Append Structure. There would be more advantages as you don't have to keep track of data consistency, Locking / Unlocking mechanism etc.
Please refer to the section [Further Remarks on Append Structure|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/cf/21eb61446011d189700000e8322d00/frameset.htm]

  • Work center Hierarchy

    Dear Gurus,
How can I use work center Hierarchy for Capacity Planning.
I have 5 Lathe machines. How can I use Work Center Hierarchy?
I also need  Work Center Wise confirmation.
Please guide me. Also let me know how should I maintain data in work center as well as in routing.
    Thanks in advance

Create a new WC (in CR01) as category 0004. This will be the top level WC in your hierarchy. <BR sab="44">Create a hierarchy (in CR21). <BR sab="46">Add your 5 lathes and the newly created top level WC to the hierarchy (in CR22). This can be tricky: the WC you just created must be the top level, the other 5 must be under it. <BR sab="50">Pull the capacity data (in CM01) for the hierarchy: go to settings, hierarchy, check the cumulation of requirements and capacities and type the hierarchy name. <BR sab="54">Route things as before, to the original 5 lathes.

  • Capacity Planning - CM07

    Dear PP Gurus,
I am using CM07 to view the work center for the capacity planning. My requirements load for  12 months.
How come the planned order on July onwards is schedule all to June?
It is supposed to load according to the month for the orders, but is not and the earlier months capacity is not fully utilised?
    Need you expertise on this.
    Appreciate the assistance
    Thanks & Regards
    Pooja

    Hi Abhijeet,
You can use profile SAPPISAFRU - IS Confirmation and then after double clicking the particluar line item you can chose confirmed quantity in the field display.
Otherwise you can use the transaction CN41 for actual work done or CN48n for confirmation line item display.

  • Capacity planning for Work Center

I programmed time for a Work Center on internal activity, for 40 hr using 100% of one resource, the work center it has  a capacity of 8 hr each day, the activity gets a duration of 5 days and I indicated that it has to begin the first day of the next month.
When I executed transaction CM01, I notice that the 40 hours are planned for the actual day and don´t respect the dates of the internal activity, I think it is a problem with the work center but do not find the error.
Any suggestion where to look for?

  • Function Module to get a work center's capacity requirements (load) within a given period

    Hi all experts,
Currently I’m doing a capacity summary report similar to CM01, but with a summarized capacity availability and loading for a period.
Selection Parameters: Work center range from and to, Period from and to
List Format: Work Center, Avail Capacity, Loaded Capacity, Free Capacity, Load %
I have found a standard function module (FM) to get work center's available capacity for a period, but still facing the challenge to find a FM to get a work center’s capacity requirements (load) in a period.
I have read through all the related threads from the web, and tested the recommended FMs, but still cannot get a right result.
Please help to provide some leads for a FM or the logic.
    Best Regards
    Philip

    Hello Philip
The following function modules should be useful:
       - CY_PRIMARY_SELECTION            - Function module for selection of orders for the work center
       - CY_SECONDARY_SELECTION          - Check for additional criteria
       - CR_CAPACITY_AVAILABLE_PERIODS   - Reads the available capacity from work center
       - HR_PERSON_READ_TIME_INFO        - Reads the available capacity from person (modification)
       - CY_GET_PART_CAPACITY            - used only for the first period to read backlog
       - CY_LOAD_DISTRIBUTION            - Distribution key
Please observe that these are simple function modules, not BAPIs, That means, they were developed to be used on the SAP internal programs and they are not supported by SAP when used in custom programs.

  • Rotating Off-Days in PM Work Center Available Capacity

    Good Day!
    Background:
Each Maintenance person is represented by a PM Work Center.
Maintenance person have a rotating off-days which cycle repeats after 21 days.
    Requirement:
We want to reflect rotating off-days to PM Work Center Available Capacity.
    Options tried but did not worked;
Shift Definition Grouping:   Off-days is in HR's Period Work Schedule but only Daily Work Schedule can be pulled into Shift Definition Grouping and then into Work Center
Reference Available Capacity:   Can be achieved via Shift Sequence Key in interval of available capacity but needs to maintain for each week with on-going maintenance
Do anyone has implemented this similar requirement that we can reapply/build on?
Your valuable inputs are deeply appreciated.
    Thanks!

    In work center capacity header
    click   change intervals
    click   insert
    Enter manually
valid from and valid to dates

  • Trying to find Function modul for requirement capacity in work center

    Hi Colleagues,
I have tried to find a function modul: Import - Work center , Export - requirement capacity.
    but havn't succeed with.
I will be glad for any help.
    tnx & best regards

I need a FM that export the requirement capacity of a Work center.
Report CM01 has the same functionallity, however, by debugging it I coudn't find any useful function, morever, I have found a thread in the forum with the same issue but it wasn't helpful.
an example for my needs is as followed:
    Function: CAPACITY_REQUIREMENT_FOR_WORK_CENTER
    IMPORT:
                            1. Work Center = MG1602
                            2. Plant = 1000
                            3.date from = 01.04.2011
                            4. date to     = 01.05.2011
    EXPORT:
                            1. Capacity Requirment (Total) =  240 [Hours]
                            2. Capacity Requirment (period) = 22  [hours]

  • How is Reqmts calculated in CM01( capacity Planning: Detailed Capacity List.

I believe Reqmts is the difference between the 'To be confirmed' and 'confirmed hours'.
If let suppose standard hours for a part to be manufacture is 100hrs and we have already work 52 hrs off 100hrs then if i go and look up this order in CM01 then the Reqmts should say 48hr (100-52).
But when I am going to CM01 it still saying 100 hours which is not correct. Can some one help me solve this issue

    Hi Pankaj,
Once confirmation is done, hours must be deducted and it should show the remaining hours in CM01 based on the below settings in work center/resource in Capacity tab.
Control: Calc. of Remaining Req./Duration After Confirmation
Controls how, after partial confirmations the
    Remaining capacity requirement and
Remaining duration in a rescheduling is calculated.
    The following are possible:
Formula-Related: The remaining requirement / remaining duration of a
partially confirmed operation is determined when the formula defined in the work
center is evaluated. It is the remaining quantity and not the operation quantity
that is taken into account after the confirmation.
Completely for Partial Confirmation: The remaining requirement /
remaining duration is reduced completely when there is a partial
         confirmation.
Completely for Final Confirmation: The remaining requirement /
remaining duration is reduced completely when there is a final confirmation.
There is no adjustment through partial confirmations.
Proportional to Service: The remaining requirement / remaining
duration of a partially-confirmed operation is reduced proportional to the
service that is assigned to the relevant capacity segment in the work center in
         your record type group.
    Dependencies
When there is a final confirmation the remaining capacity requirement of the
    operation is always completely reduced.
    Please check your settings accordingly.
    Thanks.

  • Why ist Pool Capacity from PP work center automatically involved

    Hi, All
i use PP work center to create a PM Order.
this PP work center has machine-, labor- and pool capacity. and I add "SAP008" into field "other fomula" for labor capacity in Tab capacities.
now after I create a PM Order, when I check CM50, I can see for this PP Work center also  Pool Capacity involved.
    Question:
    1. where comes this Pool capacity, even though I didnot set  any formula in field "other formula" for pool capacity in Tab capacities?
    2. for creating PM Order, do I also need add "SAP008" into field "other fomula" for machine capacity in Tab capacities?
    thanks&regards

    Hi Shrithar,
Do you means the time Profile in CM50.
when I check this time Profile, I see differant time interval, -Database read period
                                                                                    -Evalution period
                                                                                    -plannung period
                                                                                    -Dispatching of backlog
is it also influencing work center capacities?
    thanks&regards

  • Capacity evaluation in work center which has number of indivisual capacity.

    Hi. guys.
Work Center(WC01) has 2 indivisual capacity.
    and available capacity is 16H.  (8H * 2)
    I made capacity requirement(production order)  with 26H.
Capacity evaluation displays the result as below.
    Entries        Rem.cap.reqs      Avail.capacity   R
    Total                       26 H            1,632 H
    2009.10.09               0 H               16 H     0
    2009.10.10               0 H               16 H     0
    2009.10.11               8 H               16 H    50
    2009.10.12               8 H               16 H    50
    2009.10.13               8 H               16 H    50
    2009.10.14               2 H               16 H    12
    2009.10.15               0 H               16 H     0
I don't know why the requriment capacity is only 8H per day.
I think that the requirement capacity should be 16H per day.
    can anyone explain the reason?

    Thanks.
But  It's not what i want.
I'll explain my problem more detail
    Work Center(WC01) -  Available Capacity: 16H   ( 8H * 2 (No. of Indivisual capacity))
Caracity Requirement -  production order 1000001 (Start date: 10/10,   Excution Time:  24H)
    Capacity Evaluation (CM01)  <NOW.>
    Day        Requirements    AvailCap. CapLoad
    2009.10.10         8.00        16.00    50%
    2009.10.11         8.00        16.00    50%
    2009.10.12         8.00        16.00    50%
    So, I don't understand 'capacity load(%')
I want to product the material using two capcity
but capacity evaluation calcuate only one capacity now.
I think the below result is right.
    Capacity Evaluation (CM01)  <NOW.>
    Day        Requirements    AvailCap. CapLoad
    2009.10.10        16.00        16.00    100%
    2009.10.11          8.00          8.00      50%
    2009.10.12          0.00          0.00        0%
    Is it impossible??

I have number of machines and i want there individual capacity and efficency can we see that by any report or any tcode to see all capacity of machine. What is capacity leveling.
Is thee any configuration for capacity planning.
    Thanks in advance

Hi, the following configuration steps involved in the capacity planning: SPRO --> IMG --> PRODUCTION --> CAPACITY REQUIREMENT PLANNING Capacity Requirements Planning: 1) Define time units 2) Define Capacity Category 3) Set up Capacity Planner. 4) Define parameters 5) Define Standard value key. 6) Define Move time matrix. 7) Define Setup matrix. 8) Define Control Key. 9) Define Shift Sequence. 10) Define Key for performance efficiency rate. 11) Define Formula parameters. 12) Specify Scheduling type. 13) Set up Production scheduler group 14) Select Automatically. 15) Define Scheduling parameters for Production orders 16) Define Scheduling parameters for networks. 17) Define Reduction Strategies planned/ production orders. 18) Define Reduction Strategies for network/process orders. 19) Define Control Profile. 20) Define Selection profile. 21) Define time profile. 22) Define Evaluation profile. 23) Define Strategy Profile. You can follow these above configuration steps in capacity planning Yes you need to active your all work center for the finite scheduling at the bottom of capacity view. Use all standard SAP configurations, Capacity Leveling Profile. Define time profile in OPD2. Define the strategy profile in OPDB Define the Overall profiles in OPD0. Then only you need to to active your all work center for the finite scheduling at the bottom of capacity view in work center.(CR02) Then run MRP with scheduling- 2 Lead time scheduling and capacity planning.(MD02) You will get your capacity requirement in CM01, or CM25/CM21. • Work Center determination depending on vendor/supplier

    Hi together,
is there a possibility in SAP QM Standard
to determine the workcenter for the resultrecording of specific Operation/Activity
    depending on the supplier?
at the moment it's only possible for me to determine work center of the inspection operation (field: VORNR) depending on plant and material via inspection plan
    thanks for help
    br
    Sven

for one material in one plant we sometimes do the inspection in Work center A, sometimes the inspection takes place in Work center B.
In order to select the operations to inspect, you enter QE51N, enter plant, material and work center.
As the place where the inspection takes place is dependant on the supplier, i'd like to know how to control that if there is a goods receipt of supplier 4711 to do the inspection at Work Center A, and if goods are coming from 9977 to do the inspection at Work Center B.
i saw the posibility to maintain the vendor in the inspection plan - but only maintaining the vendor does not solve my initial question :-)
this is how the inspection plan looks like.
    Inspection Plan XY
          - Material 123 - Supplier 4711
              - Operation 1 - Workcenter A
              - Operation 2 - Workcenter A
i tried to maintain another supplier- matnr relation on the plan, but still both operations are valid for this combination
    Inspection Plan XY
         - Material 123 - Supplier 4711
         - Material 123 - Supplier 9977
              - Operation 1 - Workcenter A  <---
              - Operation 2 - Workcenter A  <---  the operations are valid for all material - supplier relations in the inspection plan?
