Maintenance order release strategy
Dear All,
How can i design maintenance order release strategy by using authorization control.
Please help with path(Configuration with details process if possible).
ThanksSushant,
Please refer the authorization object: I_VORG_ORD which is having fields: AUFART - Order Type and BETRVORG - Business Transaction.
Using this authorization object you can decide whom to give the authorization to release the order.
You have to create a role in PFCG (please take help of BASIS team for the same) assign transaction IW31/ IW32/ IW38 and you will find this authorizaiton object where you have to assign the order type and allow only the business transaction which user is allowed and remove *.
Value BFRE in field BETRVORG is for release of order which you have to restrict to that user after which the user wont be able to release the order.
Please follow the above steps and do tell if you have any further clarification required.
Hope it helps.

Maintenance order release cancel
Hi...Experts
Can we cancel or unrelease maintenance order ?
if yes then pls suggest how ?
Regards
LokeshGreetings Lokesh,
The System Status REL is not reversible. Once an Order is released, it becomes possible to book actual cost to that order, make confirmations, goods receipts etc. This Orders should then follow on to the status TECO, and then to CLSD.
A work-around if you wanted to prevent certain actions on a released Order, or to signify that an Order was released, but then pulled back and might not be executed, would be to create a User Status with some business transaction control in OIBS.
Note that as Maria Terence mentions above, locking the Order is also a good work around that prevents posting costs to Order, among other things. -

Order release on maintenance plan level
Hi,
Is it possible to have preventive maintenance order release on maintenance plan level instead of order type level?
Br,
ShritharIn ECC 6.0 EHP 4 version, you have the option the setting release based on Maintenance plan.
http://help.sap.com/ERP2005_EHP_04/helpdata/EN/86/429EA7A6E945E18A09EE75D566E789/frameset.htm
From above link:
Maintenance plan not immediately released
You can set an indicator in the maintenance plan item to define that any orders created from the maintenance plan during scheduling are not released immediately. This overrides the "Set released status immediately" indicator in Customizing for the order type, if this indicator is set in Customizing. -

Maintenance order cost control through Permit
Hi
I want to know whether Maintenance order release approval on the basis of planned cost can be done on the basis of issuing Permits. May I please be guided with the process for this?
ThanksHi,
This topic has been discussed many times in this FORUM , u can search up
check this link http://www.sap-img.com/plant/complete-help-to-implement-maintenance-cost-approval.htm
Link 2 :- http://www.sapfans.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=132912

If u want to have more level of permits based on planned costs then u you need to create Charac in CT04 , assign that in class
This class you need to give in IPMD while creating permits -under classification -> Here u need to mention the characteristic , In the characteristic - u need to mention the range , if u mention range as 0- 2500 -
Dear all,
I know the concept of maintenance order release thro permit,
But the thing is I want the only component cost to be considered for this and I need 3levels of approval.Even when i change like add components or remove components from order it should take care.I think this is a development, To achive this what is the best possible way? can any one pls guide me.
Thanks and regards
NNRHi
If I have understood your problem corectly, then it should be possible to have multiple levels of approval through authorisation. As u know a maintenance order has various system stautses with creation, release, complete, lock and so on.
You can assign suitable role to an user having these objects as their authorisation. You can use the authorisation object I_VORG_ORD ( FOR ORDER) & I_VORG_MEL (FOR NOTIFICATIONS) AND ALLOW THE BUSINESS TRANSATIONS LIKE RELEASE. For release of maintenance order the business transaction is BFRE. An user who does not have this value in his role would not be able to release a maintenance order. Remove the appropriate values from user's roles and you can achieve multiple levels of approval. This a pretty standard feature in SAP. Talk to your basis guy for making the roles.
Reward points if found useful.

Hi,all,
After releasing of maintenance order, my client's requirement is not to change any data like operation ,components by anyone. Is there any settings in standard SAP to do this or some user exit to prevent anyone to change the data but again changeable option should be there to some authorised person only.please suggest .Thanks in advance.
rgds
rajibI thought PJ had a good solution with the user status, and only giving the authorization to remove the status to authorized users.
Unfortunately, there is nothing in the business transactions to forbid changes like operation changes.
I tried forbidding 'change' and that did nothing.
I was surprised that even the forbid 'change documents' setting didn't prevent me changing the operation control key and the system created the change documents, but then I realized there is a different status profile for operations. So this would require assigning the user status to each operation, and even that would not prevent addition of operations.
Of course, I usually advocate accountability over control. If anyone makes inappropriate changes, the system records who, what and when, so you can see who changed an operation after release.
But in the end, if that's what the customer wants.......
I think the solution would be to use user exit IWO10009 (Checks at order "save")
Check to see if the order is released, if it is then prevent user from saving unless their user ID is in a Ztable that has a maintenance view for administration. A sort of variation on TVARV.
Hope it helps -

Automatic release of plant maintenance order at Plant level
Dear All
I would like to release plant maintenance order automatically and would like to enable only for a specific plant.
Could you please suggest different options for this
Thanks in advance
Regards
Yogesh +48 500287949Hi ,
There is no tcode for automatic release of Maintenance order . You have the below options :
1. Activate the user exit IWO10009 PM Order: Customer Check for 'Save' Event which checks for specific plant and status of order is not released then it would release automatically ..
2. Create a programme which runs as a batch job and this programme checks for PM Order and filters specific to plant and then filters the orders which are not released and then auto releases....The proramme should be set up as a batch job which runs at every 30min or etc..
this would give you some idea ..

Release of break down maintenance order
Hi,
In Configuration ,I have put flagg in "release immediately" check box for Breakdown Maintenance order ,my requirement is to release this breakdown order immediately while creating the order, which is not happening but in case of preventive maintenance order(system generated order), it is happening. Can anybody please tell me what extra settings ,I need to do to get break down order in release mode at the time of saving??thanks in advance.
rgds
rajibRajib,
If you read the help-text behind the field it tells you that it will only release orders if they are generated in the background e.g. from a maintenance plan or sales order.
If you manually create an order, then this flag has no effect.
If you want auto-release manually created orders, then you will need to utilise user-exit IWO10009 (at save event) setting the RELEASE_ORDER parameter.

Run MRP for production order/maintenance order has been release
Hi all,
please tell me how to configure for running mrp for production order/maintenance order has been release. as you know, i want production order has not release will not appear in MD04. I think that is the way for running mrp will not take care about this production order has not release
Thanks allHi Hoai,
It is impossible to exclude production order from net requirement calculation in MRP run. You may take a look at the online documentation under the PP-MRP area.
Material Requirements Planning (PP-MRP)
Planning Process
Net Requirements Calculation
Net Requirements Calculation for MRP
But there is a way to temporarily exclude production order from MRP. That is you can set the 'delivery completed' indicator in 'Goods receipt' Tab in in production order. Please note that this order will not appear in MD04. Actually to some degree, this order could be considered as completed because ticking the indicator could set status 'DLV' for the order. But you still can execute confirmation, goods issue and goods receipt activities. This way is just a workaround. You may
consider it.
Or maybe you can consider the useage of BADI: MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA to change the MRP run data to see if this could fulfill your requirement.

How to block maintenance order from releasing if cost is high
Hi Experts
If cost of maintenance order is more than Rs.100000(e.g); it should not release and if less than this value then it can be released.
Plz help me can i do this in SAP PM and how ?
Regards
PoojaHi ,
In SAP PM there is a functionality known as Permits. You can create a Functional Permit and assign it your order type to acheive the requirement.Create a characteristics with currency format(data type) in the additional field give table name CSEVPERMIT and field name PKOSTEN.Create a class type 049 and assign the characteristics created to the class.Give this class in the permit create (Tcode IPMD).Assign the range of the values by clicking on the classification sequence like > 50000Rs etc.In the order release option choose 2Permit must be issued else error message.
assign this permit to the order type or the Technical object.
Check it out and let know.

Operations in Preventive maintenance order has to release then only order has to TECO
Hi,Friends
is there any standard in R/3 that as soon as i am not releasing Operations in Preventive maintenance order, order should not be TECO
when ever i have released Operations then only Preventive Maint order has to be TECO
Your response is highly appriciated
Regards,
KumarKumar,
I'm still confused...
When you release the order header (REL), then all operations are also set to released (REL). You cannot individually release operations using the system status.
However, you can set user statuses for each operation which are configured in the IMG.
Please give more details.
