Maintenance Plan Call Dates
Guys,
In the standard system, the call horizon % is based on the smallest package used in the maintenance plan..
We have a typical scenario where we want the call date to be 6 months earlier than the 3Y or 5Y inspection.
Has anyone managed to manipulate these call dates (not plan dates) in a maintenance plan via user-exit/BADI?

Hi Pete,
I think thru the normal process you can even achieve for huge packages.Lets say even if it is 3 years or 5 yrs...call date can be before 6 months and work order get created based on call date.I tested and it is working fine for me.

Maintenance Plan Call Completions Changing
Has anyone noticed in ERP that a maintenance plan call completion date can be changed when the work order for a call is given a new TECO date. I don't remember this happening with 4.6c. When scheduling parameters are set to adjust future calls based on the completion of a previous call, the future calls are moved based on last completion date.
Is there a setting that can be made to fix the completion date for a call as the first TECO or call completion such that it cannot be changed with TECO reversals and new TECO dates?
Thank you,
GeneGene,
I don't think there are any new settings there. The completion dates will be provided for input, on TECO, as long as the MP hasn't generated the next call object. Maybe you could schedule the plan to generate the next call object to be Planned and executed in the future, as soon as the existing call object has been set to TECO?
if not, You could try using the user exit IWO10004 Maintenance order: Customer check for order completion to make sure that the date(NPLDA) isn't changed.

Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to have two maintenance or service orders generated for the same date from one maintenance plan?
For example, I have a piece of equipment that has a regular monthly check, but at certain times this equipment has to have a thorough inspection done and we need to keep track of when the inspection was done and completed.
There is no set period for the inspection to take place because it can happen at different times.
Is this possible in SAP? Please respond ASAPHi Charlie,
Given your requirement, its advised to make a single cycle plan for your equipment with a cycle unit of 1 month(as you have monthly maintenance requirements).You can then schedule this plan for the scheduling period as per your requirement. This will ensure that you have monthly call dates & planned dates. For your sporadic/unplanned inspection requirements, You can use Manual Call option in tcode IP10 (scheduling) which does not affect your regular schedule and is specifically meant for intermediate maintenance activities.
Its possible to create seperate orders from the same maintenance plan if u have created more than one maintenance item. For example. if u have an equipment whose electrical and mechanical maintenance activities are to be carried out on similar times, btu u have different task lists for both, then you can create a two maintenance items having their own task lists but will be scheduled as per the cycle/strategy defined in the plan.
Hope this gives some clarification.. -
Maintenance Plan Call object in Past
Hi Experts,
Is it possible to call the object in past in ECC6.0.
Suppose i want to call the PM order in 2008 through sceduling but system is not allowing me.
Is it required any setting in system. i dont want to call it through mannual.
Please tell me is it possible to call the pm order in past through PM Scheduling.
ARAmit,
It is very much possible to call the object in past from IP10. Only thing you have to ensure is the tasklist attached to maint plan will have to be valid for the past date.

Passing planned date, call date to equipment master
Friends
I just come thro one requirement. We have the instruments going for the calibration process thro Plans. In this what i need is each instruments maintenance plans call date date (calibration due), completion date (calibrated date) which has to pass on equipment master.
Is it any functionality available for passing these values into the equipments master.
Also we are planning shutdown jobs (No PS Module) thro maint order for various equipments. The requirement is in one single order for various machines i have to plan the shutdown jobs instead of going individual order. But its not possible at IW31.
Can i have some idea how you are handling this shut scanarioHi,
To add these fields in equipment master, i dont think there is a standard way, instead you can use an exit to create a new tab page and add these fields in it.
Regarding shutdown maintenance you can go for revision no., that will help you collaborate all the orders created during this shutdown maintenance. Or create an order as shutdown maintenance and then create its suborders with individual maintenance tasks.
Thanks,

Preventive Maintenance Planning - change call date of future calls
Hello,
we are using time based maintenance plans to schedule our maintenance obligations towards customers. After creating the plan and scheduling (IP10) we get the scheduled calls proposed by the system.
Now we want to use IP10 or IP19 to move those planned call dates that are in the future without releasing the predecssor calls but it gives us an error: "Maintenance plan 16.04.2009: Predecessor to still on hold".
Does anyone know if there is a way around this?
Thanks,
TobiasHi Tobias
As per your query... you cannot move the call dates which are in the future. First you have to skip the cal which are before the future cal date. then only you can do...

Counter based maintenance Maintenance plan
Dear all,
I Required help from all of you , I have made one no maintenaance plan with following details :
Annual estimate 120000 Nos
cycle lenth 10000 Nos
schedule the plan 0 Nos and
Plan date call date Next planed counter reading
1 22.2.2011 22.2.2011 New start Hold 10000
2 23.03.2011 23.03.2011 Scheduled Hold 20000
3 22.04.2011 22.04.2011 Scheduled Hold 30000
4 23.05.2011 23.05.2011 Scheduled Hold 40000
5 22.06.2011 22.06.2011 Scheduled Hold 50000
6 22.07.2011 22.07.2011 Scheduled Hold 60000
7 22.08.2011 22.08.2011 Scheduled Hold 70000
8 21.09.2011 21.09.2011 Scheduled Hold 80000
9 22.10.2011 22.10.2011 Scheduled Hold 90000
10 21.11.2011 21.11.2011 Scheduled Hold 100000
11 22.12.2011 22.12.2011 Scheduled Hold 110000
12 21.01.2012 21.01.2012 Scheduled Hold 120000
In this case system check both pland date and next planned counter readind and generate the maintenance order on the call date although next planned counter reading not reach uptpo the planned counter.
But our clint want the maintenance order on next planned counter reading only not on call date please help me the any solution for fullfilling the requirment.
RaghavHi Raghav,
Maintenance order will be generated on counter reading entered in measuring document only.
It is the annual estimate because of which we can see the planned & call dates, which are used for maintenance planning purpose.
Call date and plan dates keep on changing according to measurement documents creation. You create the any measurement document against the same counter which used in plan and see whether dates changes or not.
Dates get changed on counter reading and hence order is generated on counter reading only, not on the dates shown in scheduling as dates are dependent on counter reading.

How to change maintenance Strategy in Maintenance Planning?
Hi Friends
In our maintenance plan, maintenance plan additional data, maintenance strategy is defined as 3M6M. Within this strategy, maintenance cycles are defined. Now we want it to change to the maiintenance strategy, 2M that is bi monthly. How to do it?
Do I need to chage it in the maintenance plan category? I am very new to PM. Pls explain.
Thanks
SangeetaDear,
It is not possible to change the maintenance strategy once assinged to task list,other option just try in the task list select the operation and select the maintenace package ,here delesect all the maintenance package alloted and then try to change it.
First delete all the operations in the task list ,then system wil allow you to change the maintenance strategy.
Best way is to create new maintenace plan with new strategy.
Hope clear to you.

Maintenance plan package change resulting in incorrect call dates
When we change a maintenance package on an existing maintenance plan to a package whose frequency is not an exact multiple of the previous package (for example, changing from a 6M 180-day package to a 1Y 365-day package) and then restart the plan, the call horizon of the plan seems to be ignored and the new call dates are always a day or so before the plan date regardles
Why is the call horizon being ignored in this situation?Hello
Please check the Option Start in Cycle while scheduling the Plan.

Maintenance Plan which has two call dates for year

You could do this without user-exits...
Create a factory calendar with two working days. Then create a maintenance plan with a package of 1 day.
Once scheduled it should produce the required maintenance cycles.
There are two things you need to be very careful about:
1. Keep the factory calendars updated, say, 3 years into the future
2. Ensure you comprehensively test the IP30 transaction

How to look for New start Called call for a Maintenance plan
Hi,
I need to find out all calls for a maintenance plan of scheduling type- 'New Start' and Status- 'Called'. How to find this using tables.
For 'New Start' scheduling type probably table field and value is MHIS-TERMA = 'N'. There are different statuse in this table but I am not able to identify the status 'called'. Also what is the field MHIS-ZAEHL(Maintenance package number) for?
Thanks,
VimalTaken from the standard IP10 program:
* possible status combinations
* TSABR - Scheduling status: planned date called
* TSVBT - Scheduling status: call outstanding
* TSENQ - Scheduling status: call horizon not reached
* TSENM - Scheduling status: stopped manually
* TSTAT - Sceduling status
* TSABR TSVBT TSENQ TSENM TSTAT
* X - - - A called with order
* X - - - - called without order
* - X X - - on hold (TSENQ), due (TSVBT)
* - X X - F on hold, due and fixed
* X - - - X skipped
* - X X X - blocked

Change start of cycle date in maintenance plan
Dear Experts,
We would like to change start of cycle date in maintenance plan. Iwe have rescheduled the plan but the start of cycle date remains the same.
could you please confirm, whether it can be changed. The requirement is because of some Mt plan created with future start date in production (Year-2020) and we want to correct the same.
ThanksDon,
To determine the next maintenance call date you need to tell the system when the last maintenance call occured
Example:
You want the next call date on the 1 June based on a six month cycle. Therefore the last maintenance date would have been 1 January (assuming key date scheduling).
In your case you need to RESTART your single-cycle plan on the 1 January and the system then calculates the next maintenance calls.

How to compute Maintenance Plan's Plan Date
Dear Gurus,
I would like to request help from you. I have a problem wherein I would like to know how is the Maintenance Plan's Plan Date is computed.
Below is the parameters of the Maintenance Plan:
cycle = 1500
offset = 1478
annual estimate = 5070
first meas reading = 22.5
Start of cycle is = Jun 16, 2011
The plan date computed is = Sept 7, 2011
Please let me know if there are other information needed.
I hope you can share your knowledge on my problem. Thank you.Hi,
Please note that for Plant date calculate in Counter Based Plans system takes the below into preference for calculation :-
1. Start of Counter reading value
2. Date of Last counter reading udpate ..
If you maintain offset then system first plans the offset then starts the cycle
If ur annual estimate is 5070 , if scheduling is done by time then daily activity is 5070/365 = 13.89 round to 14
Now if your start of counter reading value is 0KM
And if your date of last counter reading is :- 2/3/2012
Then your first planned date would be based on the offset :- 1478 -22.5 = 1455.5 /daily activity =1455.5/14 =104days
So counting 104days from 2/3/2012 you would getting your First Plan date ..
If u put call horizon as 100% then it will be in HOLD status
