  • Mark maintenance plan items for deletion or delete them

    Hello,
due to an user missunderstanding we have some maintenance plan items in our system which are not required (table MPOS).
Is there a way to mark such items for deletion or to delete them completly?
    Thank you
    Kind regards
    Manfred

    Hi,
I think ther is no way to directly delete the Maintenance items, u have to assign them in a dummy maintenance plan then make MP inactive , set deletion flag & Archive ... thus it applies to Maintenacne items also check this link http://www.sapfans.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=173192

  • Blocking Maintenance Plan Items

    Hi experts
I have a maitenance plan with 3 equipemnts. Currently, 2 of those equipments are not being maintained, because they are not working, so I don't won't orders to be created for those equipments. However, in the future they will should be considered for maitenance (ie, we need work orders to be genarated).
To avoid deleting and including items every time this situation occurs, is there any way to block / unblock the items to avoid work orders to be created for thos items?
    Many thanks
    Joana

    Hi Smart
I've inactivated 2 equipments (out of the 3 equipments from the maint. plan) and executed IP30 for an interval of one day. Only one WO was created (for the active equipment).
Then i've activated the 2 equipments and executed IP30 again (1 day) . 3 work orders where created for the same day as the one above. Basically it repeated the order for the equipment that was never inactive. I would expect that this WO would not be created.
    My settings in IP30 were:
Inteval for call objects 1 day
    Rescheduling incl - not set
Immeadiate start for all - set
What are the setttings that need to be made in order to do not repeat WO created?
    Thanks

  • Table for Due packages in maintenance plan

    Hi experts,
I have one requirement in Preventive maintenance cycle.
I want the printout of the Operations of preventive maintenance order in our own specified format.
We have developed a new one as per our requirement. But I want to mention which package maintenance order it is in the print out.
    Ex:
I have one maintenance plan with the task list which is having the following packages
    1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y.
After scheduling the plan, i get one filed in the maintenance plan, scheduling call item tab, like
Plan Date  Due Packages, this filed I want in the printout.
I have a logic to get that in reference with the  following field as input from the maintenance order,
    Maintenance Plan
    Maintenance Item,
    Call number.
But I am not able to find the table for the filed DUE_PACKAGES.
Can anyone please help, how to get this field value in the printout.
    Thanks in advance.
If any clarifications required, please revert.
    Regards,
    Praveen B

    Praveen,
The Packages are not transferred to the order in the standard system.
    Two common work-arounds are:
    - Put the Package name in the short or long text of the task list operation
    - Put the Package name in the operation user-fields

  • Maintenance plan package change resulting in incorrect call dates

When we change a maintenance package on an existing maintenance plan to a package whose frequency is not an exact multiple of the previous package (for example, changing from a 6M 180-day package to a 1Y 365-day package) and then restart the plan, the call horizon of the plan seems to be ignored and the new call dates are always a day or so before the plan date regardles
Why is the call horizon being ignored in this situation?

    Hello
Please check the Option Start in Cycle while scheduling the Plan.

    Hi Experts,
Please suggest me the way by which i can make the field "Sort field" mandatory while creating maintenance plan (IP42).

    Vivek,
There is no std config to acheive this. Please use IPRM0004 Maintenance plan/item: Customer check for "Save" to accomplish the same.

  • Creation of Maintenance Plan through IBIP t.code

    Hi,
I want to create the Maintenance Plan in Mass using the IBIP t.code.
I am using Record name as IBIPMPLA, and trying to create the Plan but instead of providing Plan description in t he file error is coming for Plan description.
If any procedure is available, kindly provide the same.
    Thanks in advance

    Hello
can you please provide the detail information of error message. is it the error for the formating error in the field RMIPM-WPTXT?
If so, then please check if the below information can be any of help:
When using IBIPMPLA structure it is also necessary to create at least on item with structure IBIPMPOS. If IBIPMPLA used on it own then you will get the error 'Formatting error in the field RMIPM-WPTXT'.
Please refer to the documentation for the program RIIBIP00:
Structure - IBIPMPLA  - Maintenance plan
                      >>  IBIPMPOS     Maintenance plan item
                               >>  IBIPTEXT   (see comment below)
                               >>  IBIPOLST   Object list
                               >>  IBIPBDCD   (see below from maintenance
                                                plan item)
If you create an entry for the structure IBIPMPOS and maintain 1maintance plan item then IBIP should create the plan successfully and the error should not occur.
In IBIPMPOS structure do NOT maintain a value for TCODE, otherwise an error will occur.

  • Order release on maintenance plan level

    Hi,
Is it possible to have preventive maintenance order release on maintenance plan level instead of order type level?
    Br,
    Shrithar

In ECC 6.0 EHP 4 version, you have the option the setting release based on Maintenance plan.
    http://help.sap.com/ERP2005_EHP_04/helpdata/EN/86/429EA7A6E945E18A09EE75D566E789/frameset.htm
    From above link:
    Maintenance plan not immediately released
You can set an indicator in the maintenance plan item to define that any orders created from the maintenance plan during scheduling are not released immediately. This overrides the "Set released status immediately" indicator in Customizing for the order type, if this indicator is set in Customizing.

    Sara,
You could do this without user-exits...
Create a factory calendar with two working days. Then create a maintenance plan with a package of 1 day.
Once scheduled it should produce the required maintenance cycles.
There are two things you need to be very careful about:
    1. Keep the factory calendars updated, say, 3 years into the future
    2. Ensure you comprehensively test the IP30 transaction

  • Logic in determining package sequence in maintenance planning

    Hi,
I have created a performance based strategy, with the package containing 2 cycles and 2 levels of hierarchy.
    cycle 1        500H
    cycle 2      1000H
So, the package sequence is showing
    500H     1000H      1500H     2000H    2500H etc
    1           2              1            2           1         etc
When I tested with measuring documents, I noticed that the package due always following the sequence of the cycle 1,2,1,2,1,2, regardless of the the measurement reading. The example I tested with the measuring document is as follows:-
SAP assigned package due in IP10
    1st measdoc = 600H                1
    2nd measdoc = 1500H              2
    3rd measdoc = 2500H              1
    4th measdoc = 2520H              2
I thought, based on the packages defined in the strategy, I should be getting the package due as 1,1, 2,1, which is based on the difference between last reading and current reading.
Can someone shed some light on how SAP determine the Package due ?
    Thanks !
    Lip Huey

    Hi Lip,
My start counter for the plan is 0
I schedule the plan in IP10
Now IN IP10 if i see the scheduling list it will show me the following list
Next planned counter reading, total counter reading, and completed counter reading.
So  when you schedule the plan system will calculate what will be the next planned reading for which maintenance will be due that is the column next planned counter reading. in  this case it will be 500
Now i enter a measuring doc for 600.
If i schedule again if you see the above columns it will show next planned reading as 500 but total counter reading as 600.
If you save this system will generate order and if you TECO the order and  schedule again ain IP10 and see the columns
It will show as completed counter reading as 600, next planned counter reading as 1100 and total counter reading as 600.
Next planned counter reading is calculated  as completed counter reading + 500 which is the next package 2 (If you have maintained shift factor late completion as 100%) If the shift factor is not maintained then sys will add 500 to previous planned reading to give next planned reading as 1000.
Please check all parameters in the tab page scheduling parameters in your plan
And for strategies check column hierarchy this will have an effect on what operations from task list are copied to order.
    Regards
    Pankaj

  • Report to see Maintenance Plans which are nearing due

    Dear Gurus,
Is there a transaction or report which can see Maintenance Plans which are having Maintenance calls which are nearing due date?
    Please help advise.  Thanks,

    Hi,
You can use IP24 (scheduling Overview). Instead of entering no of days you can enter the the scheduling start date.
for example today is 21.02.2011.You want to see the schedules due till 28.02.2011
Enter the schedule start date From 21.02.2011 to 28.02.2011. If there are pending jobs which also should be included either leave the from date blank or give the date from which pending jobs also to be listed.
From the out put of IP24 you can see The plan , item , description ofitem/plan , Start date , End date ,completion date etc. also order number/notification number.
IP19 can be used for simulating and viewing  plan date beyond the scheduling period you have given for each plans.

  • Maintenance Item assignment to a Maintenance Plan

    Dear Expert,
we need some help about the following scenario.
Currently we are working on preventive maintenance in SAP ECC 6.0 system. We have created several maintenance items without assignment to maintenance plans in order to use them like models: to make quickly the creation of a maintenance plan our users can choose the suitable maintenance item from a range.
In these items we have inserted only strategy and maintenance task list but we have not insert the technical object.
We carry out the following steps:
    1. we run transaction IP42;
    2. we insert the maintenance category and the strategy;
    3. in the tab "Item" we press the button "Assign more items";
    4. system runs report RIMPOS00 (Display Maintenance Item: Selection Criteria) in order to select the item to insert in the maintenance plan. In this screen the followin fields are locked (we can not change them):
    - "Maint. plan cat.";
    - "Maintenance strategy";
    - "MaintPlan assignment" and the radio botton is set on "without".
In this way if a maintenance item has been already assigned to a maintenance plan users can not select it for the current plan.
In your opinion could we open the radio buttons for the field "MaintPlan assignment" ? Could anyone help us ?
Thank you very much for your help.
    Kind regards.

  • BI content for Maintenance Plan and Maintenance Item

    Dear community,
we use in OLTP the transaction IP06 (Maintenance Item) and IP03 (Maintenance Plan) in module PM.
Can anyone tell me the matching BI content in BW system 7.0 to import most of those fields from ERP?
Not only master data, also transaction data (e.g. like scheduling list).
I've already searched help.sap.com but didn't find a matching datasource.
    Regards

    Dear Srinivas,
I've already run a systemtrace to find out the tables:
The following tables are involved: MPOS, MMPT, MPLA and MHIO, MHIS.
In BI-Content I just find MPOS in the DataSource 0PM_MAINTPOS_ATTR and 0PM_MAINTPOS_TEXT. That is ok for master data.
The other tables I couldn't find in BI-Content.
But maybe the BI-Content does not use these tables. Maybe there is used a view which I don't see in the trace.
    Regards.
