Maintenance time in operation

Hi,
Supose I have start operation on certain m/c say CNC and during setup it is observe that m/c need maintenace for 2 hours so due to that my operation is get delay vy 2 hrs.
I want to book these two hours somewhere in operation confirmation so that i can get detailed report about delay due to maintenance, tool nt available, material not avilable.
How I can do it in PP?

Hi,
To take a detailed report for non productive time, create parameter like material unavailable, M/c breakdown, tool unavailable and assign in std value key.
So when you confirm by CO11N, you can confirm this parameter individually  without giving any yield qty.
By developing Z report you can capture the non productive time for a period.

  • Waiting time before operation in APO

    Dear All,
I have a questions regarding the waiting time of operations with APO.
Our customer wants to have a waiting time befor the operation. In R/3 there is no problem as we can use 'Wait time' to define the inter-operation time. But in APO 'wait time' is taken together with the 'transport time' as total on the end of the operation (according to oss note 604878).
How can we configure the interoperation-times to have a waiting time befor the operation also in APO?
Thank you in advance for you help.
    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi thomas,
If the operation is in start, then u can add additional time as waiting time,  If it is in the middle, u can add waiting time before the prior operation as additional time.  If it is in the last, then u use Tear down time as additional time.
    Hope this helps, please confirm

  • Cube maintenance time increases every time it runs

    Hi,
I have created a cube in AWM (10.1.0.4) with five dimensions. This cube is set to not to preaggregate any levels in order to have a short maintenance time. First time I maintained the cube it took about 3 minutes. In order to get a average maintenance time i chose to maintain the cube a few times more. For every time I did this, the cube used a bit more time to maintain and last time it used 20 minutes. Every time i checked the "aggregate the full cube" option and no data is added to the source tables.
I also checked the tablespace that the AW is stored in and it also increases for each run. Its now using 1,6 gb.
    The database version is 10.1.0.4.0
Anyone have any ideas to what I can do?
    Regards
    Ragnar
edit: I did a few more runs and the last run time was 40 minutes and the tablespace is now using 4,1gb so I think this is where the problem is. Instead of overwriting the old data it seems that it just adds it, making the tablespace bigger for each time.

    Hi,
seems like I have resolved this problem now. I had made several cubes that were almost identical. Only difference was how they aggregated the data. One was full aggregation, one was skip-level aggregation and the last didn't have any. The reason I did this was to be able to compare maintenance time and see how this affected the response time to the cube. I am not sure what causes this, but I never managed to aggregate the cubes correctly. The cube with full aggregation took just about a minute or two to maintain and when i chose to view the data it took another minute.
So my impression was that it was aggregating all the data runtime.
When I tried to maintain any of the cubes after this, I got some different errors. Usually the maintenance failed when the tablespaces couldn't grow anymore. The temp tablespace was at this point beyond 20gb.
I then thought that the name of the measures in the cube could have something to do with the errors I got, and renamed them so they were unique in the AW. The tablespaces grew large also this time, but the maintenance stopped because of an out of memory error.
Then i deleted all cubes but one and tried to maintain it. After about 35 minutes it was done and when i chose to view the data, they seemed to be precalculated and the response time was good. The tablespace containing the AW also seems normal in size, around 500mb. I did several test runs during the night, and since yesterday the cube has successfully been maintained 15 times.
So this brings me to my question.
Can a AW only contain one cube? Or is it just a user error from my part? To me it seems a bit weird that you only can have one cube using the same dimensions, so I'm not sure if this is a right way of doing it, but it works.
Anyone have any input or similar experiences?

  • Time Evaluation : Operation/Function to update quota entitlement

    Hi,
within time evaluation quato entitlements are determined.
Due to changes legislation, under particluar circumstancens the entitlement of the quota need to be updated.
I've build all 'circumstances' in a time evaluation rule and now all what needs to be done, is to perform a deduction an a specific quuta type. The number of hours to be deducted is already stored in a time wage type (as part of the new calculation rules).
Which operation or function can be used to update the quota entitlement with the number of hours stored in the time wage type.
    Thanks,
    Wilfred.

    Hi,
if was looking at this operation but couldn't manage to get things working as I would like.
Is there a link available with more detailed information on this operation besides the information available in SAP (PDSY)?
    Thanks,

  • Time Management Operation to Update Absence Quota Used

    Hi Gurus,

    Hi,
I have many doubts about Quota generation with time evaluation. I need to discount two hours, for example,to a certain quota type at one particular situations and employees.
I think I can do it using function QUOTA and operation UPDTQ. To do it I have to select the option "Increase" or "Replace" in table V_556A_B,isn´t it? .But my problem is that I need firstly a quota entitlement generated with RPTQTA00,for example:
•I have to generate a entitlement of 30 hours for all employees of a certain personal division ("No generate" selected in V_556A_B and RPTQTA00 ).
•After that, when I run time evaluation on fridays for example,I have to discount 2 hours of this entitlement of 30 (Increase or replace in V_556A_B,and use then Quota and UPDTQ).
My real problem is to generate the quota by RPTQTA00 because I´ve checked "Increase"or "Replace" (V_556A_B) to permit quota generation (modification) with Time Evaluation.
I hope my explanation was ok and somebody can help me please.
    Thanks a lot

  • Manufacturing Lead time, milestone operation wise

    Good Evening to All !
I have a scenario. I am explaining this scenario through 1 example.
We have a material 'X'. Inhouse production time for this material is 6 days, which is maintained in MRP2 view.
Now in Routing of this material 'X' there are total 10 operations starts from 1 to 10. Operation No. '4' & Operation No. '10' are milestone operation. The workcenter for both milestone operations are different. Now in house production time which I maintained in material master is total lead time for material 'X'.
The requirement is:  Workcenter of Operation "4 "wants to know on daily basis that what quantity should be delivered from their workcenter.
Now my question is that can I maintain this lead time(6 days) in 2 parts as:
Till operation "4" my lead time is 5 days &
From operation "5" to Operation 10 lead time is 1 day.
    Please suggest all possible solutions.
Can APO help in this scenario.
    Thanks in Advance.

If you run MRP with "lead time scheduling" (instead of "basic dates"), it will schedule the order by the routing, and let you know the planned workload for each WC in advance.

  • Reducing maintenance time.

    Hey all,
My colleagues and I have been experiencing more and more requests for BI publisher reports along with the standard apex reports. This way the user has something nice to present to upper management or someone outside of the company. Both of these reports are based on the same query so we are having to maintain the query in two locations(in the report region and in the shared component report queries). What are some solutions you guys have come up with to help centralize a query to one location and help reduce maintenance.
We have thought about making a package for each workspace with functions which return the desired query, but we will run into conflict with multiple people working in the same package at the same time.
    We also have thought about storing the queries in a table in a common schema and make a very simple app for maintaining the queries and their history. This way we could have one procedure which you could use. ex: get_query('report1234');
    Cheers,
    Tyson Jouglet

Why don't you have the query stay with the apex report and build your bi publisher reports with the Word template? When doing it this way, you add the rtf report layout to your application, and turn on the print capability of the report.. The report runs the query, produces an xml file and takes your rtf file and builds the required output..
Here is an example: Report X produces output, you take the query and TEMPORARILY copy it to the share components area, to build an XML file representation of the output (no Need to save). Take the XML file and open the word rtf builder, load it in and build your report layout. Save the rtf file as shared component of application, turn on the print attribute of report page and select the just defined report layout as the desired report file..
This is the PREFERED way of doing it.. The only reason you'd need to store the query in the shared components area is if you use it outside of a report....
If you have more questions, let me know..
    Thank you,

  • Oncard applet execution time (write operation)

My Java card applet store on Java card blocks with length 192 bytes (just byte arrays) without encryption . Total block count is 200. All blocks are allocated before with operator new. Off-card application could write at once any block count to card. For example it could write 10 blocks, and in this case there are required 10 calls to applet.
There is some statistics of time, which is required to write different count of such blocks:
Call count | Total time(sec) | Average time for each call(sec)
    17          5               0.29
    27          9               0.33
    90          35               0.38
153          74               0.48What could be the reason why more calls take more time? May be it is some Java Card features?
p.s. In case of read operation time is approximately the same for any call count

It is an storage architecture question. How would you store byte arrays belonging to an object, using C or Assembler? One possible way could be for instance to use linked lists --> when the amount of byte arrays increases, the pointer has to run longer distances to reach the end or the insertion point in the linked list. That could explain why the average time increases. I do not know how the storage mechanism is implemented in the smart card OS you are using. Java Card is not an architecture specification, so there is nothing mentioned how to implement the storage mechanism. There is a reference implementation in the Java Card Kit though, maybe you can find more hints there.

  • Zoning implications without scheduled maintenance time?

We have a simple topology, but wish to impliment zoning. I have the zones created, but have not yet activated them. Can I activated them without scheduling a maintenance window? Does data flow stop temporarily while zones are activated?
    Thanks

    Thank you for your response!
Correct. We currently have 8 servers targeting a storage device in an unzoned environment. The Default Zone Behavior = Permit. I have created 8 different zones, each having a server targeting the srorage device. I have include these 8 into a zoneset, but haven't activated the zoneset yet. We have identical configs on 2 9216's. Each server has a single connection to each of the 9216's and each of the 9216's are conected to the storage device. The 9216's do not have an ISL trunk between them. Our intention is to activated the zoneset on each switch one at a time and do not know what to expect in regard to adverse behavior.
    Thank You.

  • Table Maintenance - Time-Dependence - Expand- Colapse

    Hi
We have a Z table for which we have generated table maintenance with time-dependent functionality.
    <a href="http://help.sap.com//saphelp_470/helpdata/EN/c1/df5c3c3b067331e10000000a114084/frameset.htm">http://help.sap.com//saphelp_470/helpdata/EN/c1/df5c3c3b067331e10000000a114084/frameset.htm</a>
For this SAP provides  Expand-Collapse button on SM30 transaction, and it default shows the valid entries application for current date.
My question here is.. Is there any event/parameter id/settings which should by default shows all entries.
Many thanks for your inputs, for any further details please let me know.
    Cheers

    Yes.. you can do that.
You can change the Table Maintenance Generator's code and write your own code.
Just check there and comment the CODE which considers the values of DATE as SY-DATUM... just comment it or clear it.
Then you will get all the entries...

    HI, Gurus.
I need to come back the status of the operation SDMN (Maintenance Cycle). The status was changed to "Being Completed" but this operation doesn't be closed. How i can change (rollback) the status
    to "Go Live"?
    Below, the error messagens:
"Phase change from 'Being Completed' to 'Go-Live' is not possible"
    E /TMWFLOW/PHCNTRL 51 Change transaction is locked
E /TMWFLOW/PHCNTRL 56 Phase transition from 'Being Completed' to 'Go-Live' is not possible
    Thanks for all help.

    Fabio,
goto solar_project_admin and choose maintenance transaction
You need to go to the sdmn transaction or the maintenance cycle transaction here click the error tab and check for errors
Also check the tast list if there is no lock in the Completion task
for e.g there is a lock Icon in front of task so if you hav to perform this then make it unlock for the go live task in the task list
    hope it helps.
