Maintenance Work Center : Capacity Planning CM01

Hello Gurus,
We are using T-code CM01 to determine the Requirements / RemAvailCap of the Maintenance Work Orders in a given Maintenance Work Center.
After executing CM01, the detail capacity list contains Not Scheduled orders( CRTD )and capacity of these not Released orders also taking into consider.
How to restrict CM01 Order selection based on the work order System status or User status ?
I found below discussions on SCN but couldn't get precise answere.

There are a few ways:
Create a new status profile via BS42 and assign the REL status only (see image 1). Then in the CM01 display screen, use menu path: Planning->Selection->Order and enter the status profile created above (see image 2)
Create a new selection combination via OAP0. In the CM01 display screen, use menu path: Planning->Selection->Combination and enter the selection combination created above (see image 3)
The above settings can then be defaulted via the various capacity planning profiles.

Varying Maintenance Work Center Capacity by Days of the Week

I had submiited a question a month or so ago about varying the capacity of a maintenance work center depending on the day of the week. I got an answer and it worked.
We've set up another work center (in staging) for the same scenario (the work center is half staffed on Fridays). Monday through Thursday the capacity is 36 hours, Friday the capacity is 18 hours, the validity from date is 04/05/2010. When we use CM34 to do some scheduling though, the capacity shown is 40 hours a day, Monday through Friday which is what the capacity was set up for prior to the validity from date. It's also the same capacity as shown in the 'Standard Available Capacity' section.
I looked back at the work center I had modified previously and it's showing the same thing. It's like it's ignoring the validity dates.
Any ideas?

I know for sure that this is reflected in the standard profile for Capacity Availability check as part of release of the order (SAPSFCG013). The Availability for the week does show the capacity for the interval dates of the week and not the standard available capacity.
I haven't checked this on CM24 and if the standard profiles don't reflect the change then the profile probably needs to be changed.I need to look into it to make sure. In the meantime if you aren't able to resolve the same, i would suggest to raise a note and see where that leads you.

Is there a way to create a 9-80 work schedule over a 2 week period. Client doesn't want to maintain date every two weeks.

1. like do we have to create capacity planner groups same as the planner groups in equipment master data....Do they have any link??
2. What would be the start time and end time in maintenance work center, for 24 hrs open manufacturing industry with 3 shifts???

Hello Deepak,
There is no relation between capacity planner grp & Maintenance planner group...These are 2 different things..
Now the work centers can be defined for the technicians if HR module is not implemented...
To perform the capacity planning for the technicians, there daily working hrs must be maintained in the system..Though the maintenance is working for 24 hrs,Single technician cannot work for entire 24 hrs..

Blocking of work center capacity for capacity planning

How can i block a work center capacity for capacity planning during Machine breakdown( via a Preventive maintenance order)?
i believe it will reduce machine capacity, yet how can i view this, against the previous capacity? is there a possible report or can it be shown through a transaction?

In capacity header details screen not exactly as "can be used for capacity evaluation " but
"relevent to finite sceduling"
"can be used for several operations"
"long term planning"
these all indicators you can deflag this and check the results ,it may helpful to you.

Plant Maintenance: Capacity planning CM01/ CM07

Hi
In capacity planning CM01, the standard sap shows all the maintenance orders which have system status created. But we would like to look at onlly the released pm order in the standard overview list and detailed capacity list. Please let me know if there is way we can configure it.

You could configure desired "selection set" T.code "CSM1" and then assign this to appropriate "Selection Profile" under initial set.

Long-term planning: planning details of work center capacity

Hi,
we need to know what is the effect on planned production orders (generated by MPS, transaction MD40) of the flag “long-term planning” in planning details of work center capacity (table name: RC68K; field name: KAPLPL). We made a test analyzing planned orders scheduling details in Stock requirements list (MD04) and in the Planning table (CM21) in both cases: with "long-term planning" flag set and without this flag for the same work center.
The schedule of planned production order on that work center is the same in the two instance.
Could you suggest us something?

Thanks for the information , in configuration "Capacity Requirement Planning" have been maintained and now i am getting the CAPACITY REQUIREMENTS and CAP. LOAD also .........................but there is one problem i.e. when i am seeing the capacity planning (CM01) , IT IS NOT SHOWING THE VALUES ON THE DAY WHICH IS WORKING actually according to factory calendar FRIDAY and SATURDAY are holiday, but it is showing the value on SATURDAY and not showing the value on THURSDAY that is today........Please see the screen shot also......

Work center capacity header freezed

Dear Gurus,
we're not able to edit the work center capacity header. not able to edit the start and finish times.
it is happening only for one work center. in other work centers same capacity category is editable.
Please help us in resolving this.

Hi,
Check your work center categeroy definition for which edit is not possible.
The work center category determines which data can be maintained in a work center.
Each work center category is assigned to the applications (for example, production, plant maintenance or quality management) whose menus allow you to maintain work centers with this category.
Each work center category has a number of screens assigned to it which the system displays when work centers of this category are displayed. The screens contain groups of fields (for example, scheduling data). Depending on the work center category, you can make field selections on these screens (for example, defining required entry fields).

Work Center Capacity Intervals

HI,
Where can I get the work center capacity interval dates i.e. valid from, valid to and corresponding week days that are being populated in the table control when you follow the following path in transaction IR03->Enter Work Center and Plant-> Press Enter->Go to Capacity Tab-> Press Capacity Button on the lower left hand corner->Press Intervals and shifts
My requirement is to calculate the weekly capacity of a work center. I have to find the valid interval for current date then find the number of working days in this interval so that I can use it in calculating the weekly capacity.

I de-bugged the main program behind IR03 and found out that the Valid-from-date is being calculated during runtime for all the records from table KAPA for given work center KAPID.

I am truing to compare between actual Work center capacity (I am using data source 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL).
And standard work center capacity (transaction cro3 in the R3)
I canu2019t find an info cube or data source that will help we extract the standard capacity.

Problem: How to find the 'Maintenance work Center ' For Equipment ? (IE03--> Organization > Responsibility> Main. W.Cntr)
[ Note: For Client --> It's not necessary that each Equipment has Production Order, Few Equipments are taken only for Repair purpose, Equipment is there in table - EQUI,
So - Not possible to fetch from AUFK, HIKO or any other order tables. ]

EQUZ-GEWRK has the main work center. Pass the equipment number and valid-to date to get the main work center.
