Hi all,
I have a requirement to maintain/change an existing application form .
The form class is IS_U_WA_ORDER_DOWNLOAD.
I need a step by step tutorial/example how to do that.
This is my first project using application form.
What is the relation with sapscript/smartfprms?

in ecc6 the procedure adopted in efrm is as follows
1.efrm t code
type the application form name u wish 2 activate
click enter
in the next screen click activate button
2.for creating a new form
gv ur form name ex ZIS_U_WA_ORDER_DOWNLOAD
and click in menu bar copy from client
copy from 000 to ur client id
and u can see in the next screen all forms and application forms created in new name starting with z...
and save in english
thats it in the ecc6 version
differnece between sapcripts and smartforms are based on client depenedecies
smartforms areclient dependent and sap scriots are clienct independent
coloured logos can be made in smart forms not in sap scripts
smart forms is always easier since it s the advanced of sapscript concept..

Problems about deploying Oracle web application (Forms, Reports)

I am going to deploy Oracle web applications (Forms and Reports) and plan to use the same server machine for both Application web server and Database server.
1. How can I enable SSL (for data encryption) on Application web server for Oracle Forms ?
2. Since both Application web server and Database server will use the same machine, do I still need Oracle Advanced Security for data transmission between Application web server and Database server if data encryption for transmission is required ?
3. Can I user Oracle Forms to call Oracle Report on web as I did in Client/Server in the past ?
Experts like you may have come across such problems. Would you please give me some opinions/ideas ?

I saved an application form as a pdf to my desktop and now I can't open it!

Basically, I didn't have access to a printer, so I clicked print and then it presented my application form in a new window (my browser is chrome). Instead of printing (because I couldn't) I saved the file to my desktop and it saved as a pdf. Now if try and open it with adobe it says 'Adobe could not open...because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example it was sent as an email and wasn't correctly decoded) I read other posts with people having this message but not in this context.
Now I really need to print it and I can't even open it. There's no way of going back in the application process as I can't get hold of the application form online any more.
PLEASE help! This is really important and I might have managed to screw everything up for myself. I tried to open it with chrome instead and that just opens a blank page...

How do I use Adobe to Edit PDF files, I have an application form I need to Edit?

I have an application form that is in PDF format, I wish to edit this form by adding text to specific fields, how do I go about doing this?

If the file has fields - actual PDF fields, you just type. The text goes in the fields.
Or do you want to turn it into a fillable form?
Or do you want to fill in, a non fillable form, just once?
By the way if you have an application form and it isn't fillable, they DON'T expect you to fill it. Just print it and treat it like it came in the mail.

How can i make a application-form without PHP or How can i make Mailto working properly?

Dear All,
I'm working on a application-form for my website. As you can see on the added screenshot.
My problem is that is can't use PHP, as my host doesn't support this.
I have tried to make it as a mailto (GET) form but, as i already read online, it isnt working all the time. I get a blank email instead of a sent form (using chrome & mac mail).
Is there a 3rd way of making this work propperly?

I'm guessing you have a free hosting account as any paid account should include scripting supoort. You could use a 3rd party email service that hosts the script. Frankly I'd be concerned about loss of privacy using these.
If this is a paid account, I'd look for another host.
Forget about using mailto, it's too unreliable.

Font size, spacing in editable PDF document (application form)

I am trying to fill out an application form that has already been created by a university. The form's instructions indicate that applicants must fill in the fields using Times New Roman 12 point font with 1.5 spacing. However, nowhere in Adobe Reader do I see any option for changing the parameters of the text that I can type into the fields. Is this even possible?

With Adobe Acrobat you can change the font in the text fields.

You will need an app (web browser) capable of both storing a document and accessing the site's functionality sufficiently enough to upload a file. Safari can't do this (and I'm pretty certain CloudOn can't either). A couple of options:
iCab Mobile - store documents in the Downloads section and has settings to both change the BrowserID to a non mobile browser to unlock site functionality, and has a setting for uploading files from its storage rather then iOS in general. Its not free, but not very expensive and is a pretty could all around web browser in its own right. I've been using it for quite some time.
iUploader - has both free (trial) and paid versions. I've only experimented with it a bit, but works fairly well. Like iCab, has its own file container that you up load from.
In both cases you would need to transfer your files from the source app (CloudOn, in this case) to the file storage, and then access the website.

Show/hide objects/fields in PDF application (form) ...

I'm creating a PDF application (form).
The layout is being done in InDesign then the fields/buttons/drop-down boxes are being added in Acrobat Pro.
I have a situation in the application where the user will select an option from a drop-down menu ... let's say the options are "car" and "airplane". (These are just examples.)
when the applicant selects "car" it should only show the following fields ...
Tires
Engine
Fuel Economy
When the applicant selects "airplane" it should only show the following fields ...
Wingspan
Max. Altitude
Seating Capacity
How do I do this? I only want the applicant to see/access the fields that are relevant to the selections they make earlier in the application.
From what I've found online, "Java Script" is what I need to work with ... but I have no idea how that works.
I have no ability to write code from scratch, but I have been successfull at modifiying existing code.
Some examples or some code that I can copy/paste and modify would be great.
Also, where do I go within Acrobat to access/modify the code?

PWB- Connection between selection screen and Application Form

Can download applications form any app store.

Wonder if anyone has found a way to download applications form the app store. such as candy crush, or friends with words. I keep getting a message saying not compatible, I have the nokia n8 update to belle.

Date Formats in Oracle Applications Forms and Oracle Self Service

Can someone tell me what determines the Date format that appears on Oracle Applications Forms and Oracle Self Service ?
*1.* In Oracle HRMS,all dates i see on the Forms are of the Format "MM/DD/YYYY" but my NLS Parameters are not in this format .I'm giving the results for the NLS parameters below.I thought the date formats are determined by the NLS format.Is there something else that determines the date format appearing on Oracle Applications Forms ?

ICX: NLS Sort - BINARY

NLS parameters are given in my original email.
In Self Service applications(OAF) ,the date format is appearing in "mm/dd/yyyy" format but when i login to Forms based applications ,I see the date format as "dd-mon-yyyy".What determines this date format ?
How can i make the date format to always return one format everywhere ,be it Self Service (OAF) or Oracle Forms ?
I'm getting date format related errors for my code because of default date formats changing intermittently when i log into Self Service.I want to know if there is anyway to prevent this from happening?

How to assign SmartForms to Application Forms for SAP ISU

Hi Experts,
We are going to use PWB for bill printing in SAP ISU.
I have worked with ECC6.0 for PWB and seen that there is an option available to assign Smart Forms to the Application form in EFRM with selecting SmartForm option available in a dropddown. And for transaction EFCS creating FormClass the checkbox is available to make it usable for SmartForms.
But we are using SAP R/3 4.6C. But these option i am not able to see in 4.6C.
Can anyone guide how we can use and assign SmartForms for Release 4.6C.

Thanks for the reply, but what about doing DML on other tables in other schemas. The DBA has created roles and granted permission to the user and they can do DML thru SQL plus without problem but when same operation is attempted thru Oracle forms ORA-40508 and object does not exist errors come up.
How does a forms knows which tables in the database (under their own schema or on others to which they have been granted rights to) are availabel. Is there a property setting in the pallate or something in forms runtime which would recognize varoius users and then let them do DML on various tables under their or others's schema.

Application form error related to Smartform

I am working on an Application form with a smart form as a Form Type. When I execute the Correpondence printing I get an errror : 'Graphic cannot be displayed'. But my smartform doesnot have any graphic in it.

So, please check the image mode is imported to image node. If you upload a color image in se78 then in image node should be color and vice versa choose radio DETERMINE DYNAMICALLY (BMON, BCOL).
