Major advice needed with ATT / IPHONE / MICROCELL misleading/doesn't work
I'm sorry if this is a little off topic, but I need some advice.
I've been battling ATT since thanksgiving week. I moved into a house (checked the coverage map before moving, and saw I was in the clear)
I have no service here. NOTHING. I had to use a verizon phone to call them, since Verizon actually works. They tell me they're working on it... weeks go by. A month, and another month of calling them and wondering what they could actually be doing to rectify my problem. Well about 2 weeks ago, ATT's RF engineer was hanging around my house for a couple of days. He told me they didn't even notify him about my problem until days before he arrived! So they were lying to me the whole time about trying to fix my lack of service. I kept asking them, "Can't you lend me a microcell until you fix what's wrong here?" They just said "No, you have to buy that and pay for it's service."
So it's now Feb 25th, and it's day II with my microcell. It shows 5 bars, but most of my calls are dropped, or I'm talking to someone that can't hear me. I emailed them last night asking if I could just be let go from this contract so I can move on and get back to business. They will waive my fee if I give them my Iphone 4 which I've owned for 11 months. Doesn't this seem a little strange??
I mentioned how I've lost many clients and a lot of money due to the fact that they think I'm ducking their calls because I don't receive them unless I drive 2 miles from where I live.
Again, today I talked with the service rep and they will not budge. Is there something in the contract that would help me out? Even the RF engineer/tech told me there is nothing they can do (other than putting up more towers!)
So I'm stuck in this nightmare with a phone that doesn't work, and paying for it. I still have a year on my contract and I just want out. The iphone was fun and all but I'm done with att and their ransom fees.
Can someone help me?

As you know, this is a user-ro-user iPhone tech support site. Neither Apple or AT&T participate here. The only way you can resolve your reception and service issues is through AT&T - no one here could possibly fix this. AT&T does provide free MicroCell service in some known poor coverage areas.
You can try some basic troubleshooting steps as described in the User Guide - Restart, Reset, Restore - but I doubt there is a problem in the phone itself.
IF you're not getting anywhere with AT&T, file a complaint with the FCC. Did the AT&T coverage map showed coverage in your area before you purchased the phone? You might want to get a lawyer to help.

Just thought that I'd report that I've decided on my solution.
It seems that just making do with what I can find on the US store is the easiest and perhaps also the best way of going about it. All other methods mean trouble. I'm lucky that China hasn't outright blocked the US store, as they HAVE blocked iTunes music store in China already (something about a song about Tibet caused them to block the store entirely).
So yeah, just going to deal with it I guess. I should be grateful I'm getting anything at all, considering the country I'm in. Still, I just feel so ripped off sometimes when I pay for expensive devices and I can't even get much out of them do to my region. iPhones cost around $700 in China because there's no company like AT&T that you can just sign a contract with to get one, so you have to pay up-front for the phone, and get less features out of it in the end. Makes buying smart phones look like a waste of time and money sometimes, since you can't use the device to do what it was built to do due to censorship and not having any content for your region (though they do have a lot of Chinese apps that I can't use due to not knowing Chinese). -
please can someone help me out. I initial configure my bluetooth stereo ear piece with my iphone 4 and it was working but I mistakenly forget the bluetooth device and I cannot reconfigure it again with my iphone 4?
place the device in pairing mode and re-pair.
If you don't know how to do this, go to the manufacturer's website and download the user guide for your device. -
I changed the name of my apple id and now I can't use the app store on my phone correctly because it's using my apple id's old name. I signed out and in on itunes and synced my iphone. Still doesn't work. Help please?
Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...sign back in with the ID you want to use.
Note: Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to originally obtain them. They cannot be updated using any other Apple ID other than the one they were originally obtained with. -
I have internet optic fiber connection and I'm trying to configure it with my Airport Express but doesn't works, appears that I have IP and DNS, as I'm a computers dummy , who could help me to configuration it, please?

Voicemail is left at your carrier's server. That will continue to work unless you report your iPhone as lost or stolen with your carrier.
You may never find it again and you can't if the iPhone remains offline or out of service which means the iPhone is powered off or doesn't have cellular reception. -

I get trying to unlock it and it finally accepted the 4 digit PIN number on my SIM Card, which it wasnt accepting before (there is also a super PIN number, which i dont know whats for). And now it says "no service". I am reseting the phone and sometimes it just says "no service" and other times the SIM Card is locked again and it doesn't accept the PIN number anymore...

I've got a touch iPod and for about a week now it's almost been permenently zoomed into the screen? I actually cannot get it to zoom back out. I've tried pulling the screen out with my fingers but that doesn't work. It's zoomed in on my home pages, on my music, settings everything! It makes simple things like deleting a number from my password login extreamly differcult. Please can someone help?!?! Thanks.
Double tap the screen with three fingers to un-zoom.
Then go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom and turn this OFF. -
I have ipad with IOS 7, Some apps doesn' t work, safari not open some web site. What can I do?
Try this and see if it helps.
Settings>Safari>Clear cookies and data.
Now close Safari completely. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then "swipe up" or "drag up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
Just bought my white iphone4 and after syncing with my computer the speaker doesn't work now. I tried reset and even restore and still does not work. Do I have to exchange?
Make sure the silent switch is not set to mute. If you can see the red dot, it is on mute.
It may think you have headphones plugged in, try plugging and unplugging a wired headset a few time.
The next step would be to restore as new.
If none of that works, a warranty exchange would be the resolution. -

No, they can't just 'turn it off'. They can not control whether it will power on or not.
Since it's a corporate device. Take it in and have your help desk/IT department look at it. -

Well if you restore your iPad that might work. If its a software issue, it might solve it. If that doesn't work, it might be a hardware issue that apple can fix.
