Major and Minor Versions in OBPM Deployment

How do we identify and classify some process/project as a major and minor version while deploying a project/process onto Weblogic Enterprise Server using the Process Administrator?
Is there a guide which says what is a major version and what is a minor version of the project/process?

Hi,
The only document I know is http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13165_01/albsi/docs57/ALBPM55_57ProjectVersioningRules.pdf
It is a bit old since is for 5.7 version of the product but I believe it has not changed in the new versions.

  • Powershell script to find number of major and minor version for a item

Is there a way to figure out to get the total major and minor version count for an item in powershell.
I can get the count on basis of following
    “Item Versions” = $item.Versions.Count
but not sure how to get number of major and number of minor version for an item. Pls advice.
    Thanks Basva

    Hi Basva,
There might be an easier way, but this should work:
    foreach($item in $list.Items)
    $minor = 0
    $major = 0
    foreach($version in $item.Versions)
    if($version.Level -eq "Draft")
    $minor += 1
else #Assume Level must be Published
    $major += 1
#The variables $minor and $major will now hold
#the correct number of versions for this item

  • Changing Major and Minor ticks in OBI graphs

    Hi Experts,
    I have couple of questions:
I need to change the major and minor ticks in the OBI graph. For example, my graph has minimum value as 0% and maximum value as 120%. And my interval of the graph should be 20%. Can you suggest how I can change the interval? Currently the interval is 24%. But I require it to be 20%.
Any help here would be great.

  • Major and minor increment printout

I am new to Labview, only have a couple months experience using Labview 7.1.
My application is to use ultrasound to inspect a component.  For every component inspected, an ultrasound wave chart is print out.  I define my Y axis max and min, also define Y axis major and minor increment as 20 and 4 respectively(see attached file).  However, the very first print out is not what I defined.  It always the major is 10 and minor is 2.5 but the Y axis max and min are still correct.  For the second print out and there after.  They are all correct.  Did I miss something here?
Any help si appreciated, thank you.

  • Class file minor version number

I installed JDK 1.5.0_15, was previously on 1.5.0_06. It looks like the minor version number in the .class files didn't change - in fact, both have zeroes.
The first 8 bytes under both contain: cafe babe 0000 0031

I'd say it's because the major and minor version number in the class file refers to the structure of the class file, ie. it's a version number of the class file format not of the JDK that created it.
The format hasn't changed between those JDK releases... so the version numbers stay the same.

I assumed that it was due to the java-compiler pointing at the wrong JDK so I made the necessary changes to the server.xml. However, this has not made ant difference.
Has anybody else encountered this problem, and if so how did they fix it?
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Angus

I guess you have windows, and the environment path you can set through dialog of system settings. Right click 'my computer' and choose properties. Find the button for environment settings. Somewhere here you will see Oracle has added som reference to the 1.3 version. Adjust this so it works.
Or, you can run the actual correct verssion of Java you would like from the commandline.
    Instead of running:
c:\>java <Program name>try running by spesifying the correct java.exe path:
    C:\>c:\program files\java\jre 1.6.0_07\bin\java.exe <program name>Hope this will help

  • Help Updates Doesn't upgrade major version to 2014, only applies minor version updates

I have Adobe Creative Cloud for OS X deployed to many machines using CCP and Casper and I have now set up AUSST.
On one test machine, I opened one CC application and went to Help > Updates and installed all available updates. It appears to only install minor version number updates, not Major version number upgrades, so my machine is not on CC 2014.
Is this expected behaviour? Should I now be on 2014, or do I need to build a new package using CCP for 2014?
If I need to build a new package, what do I do regarding the existing installations? DO i need to remove all those components first?
    Thanks,
    Alan.

    Alan,
This, like it or not, is the world of CC 2014. They are new versions -- upgrades rather than updates. The pre-CC 2014 versions can be installed alongside the new versions without a problem. They will need to be uninstalled individually if you don't want them lying around. And sadly, unlike the CS suites, there is no single uninstaller that will remove all the unwanted CC applications. They need to be removed one-by-one.
We should let one of the Adobe moderators vet this response, but this is my understanding and experience.

  • What are the major release version numbers and what versions are not considered major releases?

I manage a QA team that tests websites in all major browsers. I need to know what versions of Firefox are considered major releases and which versions are just incremental or minor updates. With new versions being released almost every month, I can't afford to test on the latest 6 versions for my projects, so I need to make an educated decision as to what the major releases are and determine this on a regular basis.

The ESR is a Extended Support Release channel (meant more for Enterprise users in mind) where it is currently 17.0.3esr (released when 19.0 was) and will only get allowed security and stability updates until oh some twelve weeks after 24.0 release where a new ESR version will be based on 24.0 release as 24.0esr.
    X.0.*
X is the Major release while the * are the chemspill updates if it was deemed important (Usually for security or a crash/regression issue for example) and cannot wait for the next release. These Major versions are released without intending to have updates as for example the Firefox 11.0 and 12.0 releases never had updates.
Firefox 10.0 was released on [http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/10.0/releasenotes/ January 31, 2012] and Firefox 19.0 was released on [http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/19.0/releasenotes/ February 19, 2013]. The releases are about six weeks except for the short delay of 18.0 due to holidays.

I'm seeing exactly the same thing with Tomcat 4.1 ---also new to Java, no idea how to go about fixing this.
However, since you posted this in August and nobody has responded, it's not clear that this forum is going to be much use.

  • Different JDK problems: Unsupported major minor version

We have a very large application, with a client that runs on a PDA and a client (and server) that will run on a normal desktop computer...
These clients use partially the same code, and partially specific code.
For the PDA-client we're bound to Creme (it's something like jdk 1.3) and for the Desktop-client we want to go to JDK 6.
Now I'm getting the error Unsupported major minor version 50 insteadof 47...
What would be the best solution to this problem?
    - Should I try to split all common files (increasing the amount of code and the maintenance to the code)
    - Or should I keep the commonfiles compiled with JDK 1.4.2 (adding another necessary JDK, a lot of checkstyle complaints, and not the ability to use the new Java-functionality like generics etc...
    - Or is there a better way?
Any help would be grately appreciated :)

    by reading the documentation.
You have your system set up wrong. This is common with people who don't read the documentation.
If after reading the documentation you still can't get it to work, try the search option.
The answer to your question has been supplied dozens, nay hundreds, of times already and is easy to find.
If you still can't get it, find something else to do, like labelling mail for advertising campaigns.
