Major issues with Google services on both my macs, not on XP machine

Hi,
Since a couple of weeks (latest OSX update?), I am having major problems publishing on my Blogger (Blogspot) blogs, accessing Gmail and even posting in Google's help forums. The worst behavior occurs in Blogspot: only (extremely!) rarely do posts publish at all. The behavior is not consistent:
Most times I can’t even log in to my Google / Blogger account (page ‘hangs on loading’) and/or use any Google related services, including (f.i.) Gmail, help forums et cetera.
Sometimes I can log in (yeehaw), but when I try to add a post and/or alter an existing one, I get the “Could not contact Blogger. Saving and publishing might fail. Retrying” (top of my head) message. Again and again and again. Additionaly, GMail is slow at best.
This behavior occurs on both my Macs (iMac and brand new MacBook), latest OS X (10.5.7) with every conceivable update installed. All other internet sites (including https, Wordpress et cetera) function flawlessly. Only Google – related pages seem affected.
I have tried resetting the (Sitecom) modem, restarting my AirportExtreme, flushing all caches (Leopard Cache Cleaner), ran every possible maintenance script I could think of, disabled the firewall and uninstalled PeerGuardian.
Additionally, I tried Firefox (both stable and beta releases), Safari (including 4), Opera (never able to even get to my account details) and even installed Internet Explorer through CrossOver. Still: no dice. I have, however, been able to publish ONE post (today), which led me to believe the situation might be resolved. Alas, it isn’t, because when I tried to edit it (or post a new post), I encountered the same problems. In the past, this problem never occurred on either Mac. Also, I hooked up an ancient Windows based machine and all Google-sites functioned perfectly.
If there is anyone out there, who is experiencing similar problems and/or found a solution, feedback would be very much appreciated.

Generally, if a suggestion moves your troubleshooting forward (by eliminating possible problems, pointing out new avenues of investigation, etc) you could mark those as "helpful". Mark a suggestion with a green star if that suggestion actually helped solve your problem.
Getting back to your problem, do you happen to have a VM (like Fusion) on one of your Macs? Just curious if an XP guest OS running on the Mac has a problem or not.
Another test could be to use a browser that doesn't go through the same software layers that the other browsers do. For example, a command-line browser like "links". Note that this doesn't come with OS X, but can be installed. I use MacPorts, so it's as simple as running "sudo port install links" from the Terminal. If you're not familiar with the Terminal/command line, then this test is probably more hassle than it's worth...

Issue with Oracle service bus installation on Windows 7 64 bit machine

Hi,
I am trying to install Oracle service bus 11.1.1.4 in Windows 7 64 bit machine for which i have downloaded the generic installers of both weblogic server and Oracle service bus. As per the instructions -
1. Install JDK 1.6
2. Install Weblogic server
3.Install Eclipse separately (In my case Galileo 11.1.1.5 64 bit) - Just unzip the contents in the home directory where weblogic server is installed
4. Install OSB
I have installed all the above 1,2,3 in the same folder as per the instructions. But when i try to install OSB which asks for eclipse home location. But when i give the eclipse home location, it gives an error ""Home location is invalid" and i am unable to proceed with the installation.
I have tried this with OSB 11.1.1.5 as well and have the same issue.
Does anyone has any links which provides the steps to install OSB in Windows 7 64 bit machines or if someone can help me to resolve the above issue ?

I have installed OEPE 11.1.1.6.1 now in the same middleware home as weblogic server but when i try to install OSB 11.1.1.4 in the same middleware home, it asks for OEPE home location. Even though i provide the OEPE home location , it displays as "invalid oepe home location".
I have been struggling to get this sorted out so that i can carry out IDE development in OSB 11.1.1.4
Below are the paths where sfotware are installed -
JDK - C:\Oracle\Middleware\Java\jdk1.6.0_21
Weblogic server - C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3
OEPE - C:\Oracle\Middleware\oepe-galileo-all-in-one-11.1.1.6.0.201007221355-win32-x86_64

Tap to click not working properly in Mountain Lion. How do I get apple to fix this major issue with mountain lion?

The tap to click does not work with mountain lion as it did before the mountain lion install. I purchased a brand new imac in August of 2011 and got a wireless keyboard and selected the wireless trackpad instead of a mouse. The trackpad worked wonderful pre upgrade with tap to click. Now after the install of the newest beast, I have to actually press the trackpad rather than a slight tap. I have carpel tunnel and this is causing great stress upon my hand. How do I get apple to fix this major issue with mountain lion?

I have an imac purchased in Aug. 2011 which came with Lion 10.6 (two uprades before mountain lion)
Recently, I just purchased a macbook pro retina with Mountain Lion
On my imac, my settings allowed me to "tap to click" everything EXCEPT the initial log in at the star up of my imac, again running Lion 10.6
On my macbook pro retina which has Mountain Lion, I set up the "tap to click" option, but notice that a "hard" click was neccessary when trying to click things. I thought this was a macbook thing (my first one) so I went and upgraded my imac to Mountain LIon, BIG MISTAKE! Now both my imac AND my macbook only have limited "tap to click" options. Before mountain lion I could "tap" to highlight and select text, tap and drag, and many other thiings that Mountain Lion has disabled.
I am truly surprised that no one has noticed this MAJOR issue.
Is there a way to uninstall this update, similar to how on a PC you can go back to a restore point.
On another note even the way PREVIEW has changed is less user friendly, there used to be icons on the bottom right corner of the screen, now I have to double tap and select the option I would like to switch between contacts and thumbnails. This is really annoying and is causing me time when reviewing files.
Just in case anyone was wondering, I did go to system preferences -> trackpad -> select tap to click
In fact almost all of the trackpad functions have been selected.

I noticed that google was the app that was using it a lot, but after I turned the feature off for google my phone started using the “traffic”, “frequent locations” and “cell network search”. When I turn the feature off for all of those things it’s no longer a problem. So just wondering if anyone else is having this issue or if anyone has a solution?

The "solution" is probably to increase your knowledge. You've done good things. Perhaps this article will educate you a bit more about location services.
Basically, they can be very useful, but can cause a lot of iPhone use. A major example is "Remind me to ... when I leave home."

Issue with Google Contacts : birthdays not synching correctly

I have an issue with Google Contacts synchronising to my iPhone. For some reason, the birthday on the iPhone uses the previous day for displaying the birthday.
For example, if I put the birthday of December 30, 1987 for a contact using the online Google Contact manager, it will sync to my iPhone correctly as as December 30, 1987.
However, if I update the contact on my iPhone (change address, add website, change phone number...), the birthday jumps back in time 1 day (in our example it jumps back to December 29.
If I edit a contacts details on the iPhone both Birthday and Anniversary skip one day back in time after the Sync occurs. This will happen every time I edit the contacts details so if I start on e.g the 30th of Dec after one edit the date will be the 29 Dec then after another edit the date will be the 28th etc...
I can then edit the date(s) in Gmail Contacts and they will sync correctly back to my iPhone. Only when I edit a contact on the iPhone will the date(s) skip a day back.
The region of my iPhone is set to "Belgium"
Timezone is set to "set automatically"
How can I solve this conundrum?

Have you checked your time zone within your Google calendar settings? (http://www.google.com/calendar/) It's just an idea ...
I myself found several issues in syncing my contacts with Google (over the air via ActiveSync / Exchange on iOS4 as well as using the API within Address Book / iTunes) with truncated names (e.g. prefixes and suffixes) and re-arranged addresses (german scheme vs. US-scheme: post code, state) and can't recommend the Goole services for users outside the U.S.

Having major issues with InDesign CS6. Not only is it crashing, but it is corrupting the existing file. Then when I relaunch, it is not allowing me to open the file again.
In another instance, yesterday I opened an file created 3 months ago and it allowed me to make changes, however I could not save them to the existing file, or not even to a new name.
I had to copy each layer on each page to create a new document. NOT GOOD!!! Just saw that ADOBE has an update for InDesign. WILL THIS FIX THE PROBLEM??

Yes, I would certainly get the latest update. That we often solve issues like these, for this is not normal. Some further tips would be quite InDesign, then to trash your InDesign preferences and then re-start InDesign (it will rebuild them again). Some further areas to look into would be:
* Corrupt Font(s) (or corrupt font caches - see below)
* Corrupt Image(s)
* Power Failures (power surges)
* Placing images via drag-and-drop from an Internet page
* Working on an InDesign file over a network or on a remote server

I keep getting kicked off and getting a ! in my airport. Last time it happended I called apple and the suggested I wipe my HD and reinstall everything. I did and it did not work. One day I turned my laptop on and it connected no problem. Now it has kicked me off again. I tried resetting my IP address but that does not work either! Has anyone had this problem?

Try this:
Apple menu / System Preferences / Network.
Click Location: and select Edit Locations..
Click + (plus sign), and enter a name for the new location - anything will do.
Apply this.

I have created a navigation system on the master pages and set the presentation to links only mode. I also have other links scattered throughout the program, like a linkable table of contents, etc. Some of them work, some of them don't. Not sure why. Anyone out there having similar issues? Or have any idea on how I can solve this issue? Any help would be appreciated!

Links should not create any problems in Keynote. If they are set up correctly on text, the text will be underlined. Objects that have links will have a curved arrow bottom right, if you click the arrow a popup will display the link information.
Try this repair for Keynote, ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:

delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, using Appcleaner from Mac Update, its a freeware application

empty the trash: Finder > Empty Trash

Shut down your Mac, wait 30 seconds, then power on the Mac, immediately after the start chime, hold down the Shift key
When you see the grey Apple symbol and progress indicator (a spinning gear), release the Shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, then hold down the Shift key again as you click Log in.

Let the Mac fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive

when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and click repair disc permissions

when complete, restart the Mac normally, Apple menu > Restart

install Keynote from the Mac App Store

Having major issue with flash player! can not play a lot of games on FB. Games tell me that i need to update my Flash Player, PC says I have the latest version installed already.Ok, thought i would uninstall/reinstall...no go. Major Issues with views in A3

I am having some major issues with views in A3.
If you look at my screenshot I am in the Browser;GRID view, however many of my images are out of view to the right (should be 26). There is no way to see them or select them. Also note that there is no SIZE control on the bottom right!
If i view it in LIST mode, all my images show up. If I go to FULL SCREEN everything works like it is suppose to. It just happens in

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

If I go into split view, I do not get any scroll bars so there is no way of viewing all my images.

Major Issues with Premiere Pro CC

I am currently having some major issues with Premiere Pro CC running on my macbook pro(specs below).
I am trying to export a 4 minute video using the vimeo 1080p export settings as I usually do, and it takes about 10 hours to export the video. On cs6, a similar project would take 5-10 minutes.
Also, the video that was exported contained a lot of clips that came out choppy and low quality.
I am currently on the phone with tech support, and they cannot seem to figure out what is wrong.
I have seen a few post about CC having issues with amd cards, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since this job is past due due to these issues.

You neglected to specify exactly which release of PPro CC you are running. There have been 5 of them.
If you're on CC7.2 or 7.2.1, then you may be hitting the same problem discussed in one of these threads:

The first thing to try is switching Renderer to Software Only.

Major Issues with iPod Touch - Please help!

Hi, I am having major issues with my iPod, and nothing seems to be going right. It all started a few days after I got it for Christmas. I would wake up, and my iPod would be completely discharged even though it had a full battery and was turned off. I woke up one night and found that it came on all by myself. I sent it into iPod, and they sent it back saying nothing was wrong. Since I got it back today and within six hours, I have had four software crashes to the point where I have had to uninstall iTunes and restore factory settings four times. I am now on my fifth crash, but this time, the screen won't even come on. It keeps saying that it is in recovery mode. I simply went to turn it on! Does anyone have any suggestions? Personally, I think there is a short, and that I need a new a replacement. However, it doesn't seem like Apple is very supportive of the idea. I go through all of their steps over and over and over, and the same thing happens! What is going on? Please help.

sounds like, for the charging problem anyways, that you are just putting ipod into "Stand by" mode... press and hold the power key for about 10 seconds and an option to power off will actually come on.. if u just press it and let go, it just goes to stand by.. i have noticed stand by drains my battery
also, it doesn't sound like a short to me... the charging i am pretty sure is bc you are only putting it into standby however, the rest sounds like software.. did u try and restore using itunes or did you just reset the factory defaults?? Plug it into itunes and click restore under the ipod menu...
