Major problems when first downloading tunes to a Nano
Has anyone had problems with XP when first downloading tunes from I Tunes to a new 8GB Nano?
My friend's PC (which is brand new and top spec) has all but locked up, with a flashing screen, really pixelated display with dots and unclear images, slow response to any command.
Its started doing this during his initial download of tracks from I Tunes to a new 8GB Nano. Any ideas anyone?
PS are these symptoms of the Windows RavMonE.exe virus? I assume not as this sites says Nanos were clear?

no nanos shipped with W32/Rjump.worm on board. but given that that particular beastie infects removable storage drives (and nanos are removable storage drives), it's plausible that you may have picked up an infection from the wild.
you aren't reporting the usual symptoms i associate with the worm:

... but it may be worth checking on, nonetheless.
the names of malware tend to be specific to whatever security software identifies them. there's a list of names the worm can have in this McAfee document:
W32/RJump.worm
is your security software picking up anything going by one of those names?

I down loaded a 3 Part audiobook but only one part plays on my ipod touch. All parts did play when first downloaded. Whats gone wrong?
I would either say that the iOS is correpted due to a software glitch or y have have a hardware problem like bad memory locations that are corrupting the iOS.
- Restore from backup via iTunes. This will install a fresh copy of the iOS. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. This will elimate corruptin in the backup causing the problem.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Have you already upgraded the Aperture library with version 3.4? When upgrading from Aperture 2 to Aperture 3 it is recommended to rebuild the Aperture library using the Aperture Library First Aid tools,

Hello, I've upgraded my Ipad2 to iOS7. I'm facing two major problems. First, I can't connect to the internet(which seems like a common problem), no Wifi connectivity as well. Second, the Autocad WS app doesn't work. It keeps asking for a username/passcode combination. Please help me guys. I will be genuinely grateful.

You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer. -
Just upgraded to firefox 4 and websites are now taking ages to load, there were no problems when I downloaded the upgrade. Is there a fault with the new version of firefox?
Did you check your security software (firewall)?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

Major problem when trying to email a picture from my Iphone 4

I encounter a very strange problem when sending pictures from my iphone 4 via mail.
The problem is as followed,i go to Photos->Camera Roll->Choose a picture that i took->Email Photo->Send->Small\Medium\Large\Actual Size (Never mind what i am choosing they all have the same affect).
I am getting the email with the Picture Inline ( not as attachment),The picture is shown distorted , no metter what i do and with what mail client i am using (Gmail\Hotmail\My Enterprise exchange mail), i still get the same behavior.
I got 2 friends with the same phone as i do Iphone 4 with version 4.2.1,When they are sending a picture in the same procedure that i use, the picture is shown as an attachment in the mail and without any problems at all.( it can be seen both in the sent items , and in the inbox at the received side).
What is the problem , it made me frustrater i cannot send pictures ,This a must for me ,I dont want to use any 3rd party app or something like that.....

When I installed itunes into my old computer (loaded with Windows Vista) it deleated my CD burner and would only allow me to burn via itunes - I had to go in to Best Buy to have them fis the problem but was told not to download new updates for itunes or it would do the same. with this fix I am not able to burn CDs from itunes which is a bummer. If I download itunes onto my new computer (loaded with Windows 7) is it going to do the same thing or has this problem been resolved?
Copy them from your old computer, or your backuo copy of your old computer. to your new one.
The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. the exception is itunes purchases. -

%>When I run this, I get a download window, so that the right file can be downloaded, but I would like the application to show me the name of that file in the download window and in my save dialog, and that's something I haven't managed to do yet, because I always get the name of the servlet (that redirects to the jsp page). So the problem is, the right file is downloaded but it's name is never shown in the download window. How can I resolve that?

E_JI forgot to say that my session variable contains the absolute path of the file the user can download. Maybe using session variables is not the best solution in this case, but it should have to work, shouldn't it?

Problem when file download is canceled
I have been using the following code to download files in a JSP and it works fine, except if the user cancels the download once it has started. Then my application seems to be locked up and the user has to start over. I added some println statements and found that when the cancel button is pressed the code just seems to wait inside the while loop. I thought the finally clause would be called, but I guess I was wrong. Any thoughts on how to continue after a canceled download?

I recently had a problem with my iPhone 3G. I upgraded to OS 5.1.1. The thing crashed. I took it to the AT&T store and they cleared it of everything. So I re-installed all of my personal stuff and apps. All is again OK with the exception of the calendar. It will not sync with my home computer and is blank. How do I correct this?

hi ! im in charge of a big print lab in a university. All macpro quad running on 10.6.4, CS5 all updated.
i have a major problem when printing from all 3 CS5 apps : Illustrator (being the worst), photoshop and indesign : each one produces a different print even if i use the SAME color management options (the application manage color using my own color profile file created with a i-one tool from greta macbeath and using eye-one match 3). im printing on a XEROX 7750gx laser printer. very cool printer never had trouble with colors before with it, in any case it was always the software part that was causing color problems (like i suspect in this case).
how can 3 softwares under the same application collection and brand, using the same color profile and options (IDENTICAL ! it's triple check all the options!) can produce 3 different prints when printing the same image (it's a color psd created under photoshop CS5) ?!
i remember having some trouble like this when we first got CS1 in our lab, but not this bad... i've checked everything... i realy don't know how to fix this problem...
the best setting so far is in Photoshop when the application manage the color and using my color profile file in perceptual mode. best output so far, not the best i had in the past, CS4 was way more perfect with color management.
i realy need to find a solition 'cause the students expect the color to be almost perfect (and they almost were using CS4 in the past...

i've just recalibrated everything in my workflow : my screen (perfect!), my xerox 7750 color laser printer. i've recreated a new color profile file for the xerox color. and the same thing is happening : a kind of pink color all over my prints and every adobe's applications is printing different results. in photoshop i can manage the problem when forcing to print in perceptual mode. not perfect but it's fine. and with the other software specialy like ACROBAT and INDESIGN there's no option like this so it prints very badly. only option is to print in adobe 1998 rgb or SWOP cmyk (depending of the color space of the image of course)... the image is use for my test is RGB. images in CMYK are doing the same exact thing.
by the way for calibration is use an x-rite (greta macbeth) eye-one tool with eye-one match 3.6.3. i calibrate the screens and create color profile with this tool since ADOBE CS1 and never had this much trouble with colors...
here's a capture from photostop CS5 print dialog. when using the option "match print colors" you can see the image with all the PINK NOISE when using the print in RELATIVE colormetric mode (at the bottom right). using perceptual is "fine" (not color perfect but OK).
