Major Problems WIth Iphone 3G and Quality is not very good please help?
ok everyone this month i bought an iphone 3G and have experienced lots of problems,dropped calls phone turns off by itself for no reason and restarts,sometimes phone will be locked and music controls will show on the screen,i do have a dead pixel on the screen also, screen does not seem level like its not even or something, lock unlock button on top is uneven,i had the original iphone and it was built with quality this phone ***** really bad, well i made an appointment with a macgenuis to replace the phone, but today i accidently dropped it and no there is a two scratches in each corner and there seems to be a small gap between the screen and the metal on one side, this phone is really cheap quality, what i wanted to know if apple will still exchange the phone under warranty or now will they question it becuase i dropped it, but its not fair becuase the problem was before i dropped it and it was horrible and also i turn off 3G becuase sometimes i hear myself echoing and not the other person and sometimes also i hear a crackling noise.... please help what should i do

This is a user to user help forum only so no one here can answer regarding what AppleCare or an Apple Store will do in this situation. Every warranty claim is on a case by case basis. If a fellow user tells you - sure Apple will exchange your iPhone and Apple doesn't exchange it due to the accidental damage, what you are told here carries no weight in this regard.

My exchange server at work was synced to my iphone and has worked with no issues. I then exchanged my phone because there were issues with my bluetooth not syncing properly. So with this new phone, it prompts me to enter in my exchange server password every few days. I contacted my IT department as well and microsoft to get this issue resolved because I assume that there were issues with the exchange server. They were both able to see an event viewer and it showed that my iphone was attempting to log in numerous amounts of times, which locks out my account after 3 incorrect log ins. Even when I erased the exchange account from my phone, it still showed that the phone in the event viewer was trying to log in over and over again. I then did a master clear and restore and the process was removed in the event viewer. So then I called my IT department to unlock my account after I cleared everything. I was able to sync everything again with it working properly. Now its a day later and the my exchanger server prompts me to enter in the password AGAIN and my exchange account is locked AGAIN because the event viewer at work is showing the same issues. Is my Iphone not saving the password correctly? What do I do? My IT department even created a dummy account to see if a new account would fix the issues but yet no cigar! HELP!!The iPhone you returned is still syncing against your server and locking out your account. Someone possibly has access to your mail data. I'd recommend having your Exchange Administrator install the Microsoft Exchange Server ActiveSync Web Administration Tool (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=E6851D23-D145-4DBF-A2CC -E0B4C6301453&displaylang=en) and attempt to wipe/delete/block that other iPhone.

You would need to sync with iTunes to get that process to work for you. Check out the article below for more information on how to resolve that issue to get the proper token to use Push Notifications again.

The iPhone warranty is not international. If you bought it in the US you can only get service in the US. You will need to take it in to an Apple store in the US.

I've got a similar problem. iTunes v10.2 worked fine, but when I tried to update it to 10.5 I got a 'Bonjour' error. I eventually solved that but I still couldn't upgrade to 10.5, so I deleted every single Apple, Quicktime, iTunes, etc file on my PC using Revo Unistaller (because the normal Windows Add/Delete programs wouldn't work) but now, when I install the latest iTunes version from scratch (on XP SP3), it says: "the installer encountered errors before it could be configured.... your system has not been modified"
Any ideas?

I've just updated my iPhone to the new iPhone OS and now it won't work and iTunes won't recognise that it's there. I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled twice and it's not working. Please help.
I have not had wifi since November when I upgraded to the newest IOS version. I called the Apple help line and they told me some things to do and I tried them all and they worked for a few hours and then wifi shut off again. I kept doing what they told me and it worked for a couple more days and then I could never turn it on again. My blue tooth doesn't work either. I had to actually increase my data usage with AT&T becuase of this. When I did that in December I went to the Apple store and was told that it is a hardware issue and since my phone is out of warranty I would have to pay for a new phone because they could not fix the issue. My upgrade isn't up until June 2014 so not only do I have to wait for the upgrade and I am not paying for a new phone but I have to pay $10 plus extra a month on my cell phone bill because I was going over on my Data!!! I have been beyond upset about this and Apple is not doing anything about this nor did they offer up some way to resolve the issue because obviously it is not just some rare incident if several people are having this issue. Who knows how many people out there have had this issue and have not said anything about it. Now there is a newer update that I can't do because it requires wifi in order to download.
June can not get here fast enough and I may not go back to Iphone after dealing with this for so long with no help from Apple. -

My iphone5 freezes my iTunes v11 when connected and I cannot sync or do anything. I have reinstalled iTunes, tried different USB ports, ran diagnostics and said phone not recognised. Please help as have wasted nearly a day and a half trying to sort and at wits end!

Iam creating a Function for Encrypting and Decrypting Data Values using
DBMS_OBFUSCATION_TOOLKIT with UTL_RAW.CAST_TO_RAW by using
Key Value as normal.
But the problem, is it possible to have the key value more than 8.
Its showing me error when i give the key value less than 8 or more than 8.
Can u tell me why it happens, is that the limit of the key value or is any other way to do that.

Usage Notes
If the input data or key given to the DES3DECRYPT procedure is empty, then the procedure raises the error ORA-28231 "Invalid input to Obfuscation toolkit."
If the input data given to the DES3DECRYPT procedure is not a multiple of 8 bytes, the procedure raises the error ORA-28232 "Invalid input size for Obfuscation toolkit." ORA-28233 is NOT applicable for the DES3DECRYPT function.
If the key length is missing or is less than 8 bytes, then the procedure raises the error ORA-28234 "Key length too short." Note that if larger keys are used, extra bytes are ignored. So a 9-byte key will not generate an exception.

You can force quit by holding the power button down for extended period.
During boot up hold down the Option key and choose your Macintosh HD OSX.
In >System Preferences> Startup Disk>choose your internal OSX System as Default. -
When will apple fix the bending problem with iPhone 6 and 6 ?
Does anybody know when new batches of the iphone 6 and 6 plus ,without the bending problem (bendgate), will be released ? I wanted to buy the iphone 6 but id rather wait till they fix the bending problem.

Well I am sure I will get hate messages and grammer corrections and really intelligent comebacks but I don't care honestly.

Problems with iPhone 3G and iPod Touch with Car Stereos
There are three cars in our family, and every car as a stereo with built-in iPod interfaces. Car 1 has a Pioneer system, Car 2 has a Kenwood, and my car has an Alpine system. I can't hear any audio when I connect an iPod touch or iPhone 3G to the Kenwood and Pioneer systems. They can perform functions on the iPhone/iPod touch, such as change songs, randomize songs, repeat songs, etc, however, there is no audio. 80% of the time the Alpine does the same thing; 10% of the time an error is displayed on the head unit; and 10% the iPod Touch/iPhone works perfectly.
All three systems can operate my iPod Nano correctly without any problems at all. Because the same problem occurs to all the stereos and because the iPod Touch and iPhone are basically the same minus phone capabilities, I am beginning to believe that the problem is with them and not the stereo systems. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how can I fix it if it is fixable?Which Touch (first or second generation) and which iPhone (2G or 3G)?
And what generation Nano are you testing with.

since iOS 5 I am faced with severe software problems, software freezes and system crashes. Lately I am facing problems to call without openining a specific setting before calling. Ditto the iPhone has problems to connect to the internet, but it can not be the SIM card as the card is working without problems in other devices. I have reset the device and installed a backup - no changes. Maybe a pure rest will do, but I am not really happy about starting to set up everything from scratch.
Does anyone have similar problems and/or a solution?
Thanks.One of the issues that we have had since the latest upgrade (4.2.1) is with the radio function in general (both wifi and bluetooth). We have identified that the wifi security protocol stack has serious issues with key length and this can stop connections to the wifi systems such as TC and APE, but it also affects anyone using security string longer than 8 characters.
With bluetooth we noticed that the older pairing sequence was no longer working. The only way that we could clear this down was by deleting all pairing done earlier in both devices, resetting the network settings and then restarting the 'phone. Place the vehicle/headset/device into pairing mode AFTER the iPhone has completely restarted. Go into the GENERAL-BLUETOOTH settings and pair the device again, this should be all you need to do.
One thing to note is that some of the older bluetooth devices only support v1 of the bluetooth protocol stack and this causes trouble with the new update (don't know why yet but it looks like a handshake problem).
Finally - for BMW owners, the bluetooth stack in 4.2.1 can cause intermittent drop-outs if the car software has not been updated recently (prior to Jan 2010). If you need to pair your iPhone 4 or upgraded 3GS, you may need to take your car to a dealer to update the comms package to he latest version. The snap-in for the iPhone 4 is due from Jan 2011.
