MAKE A IMAGE FROM TILING OF SMALL IMAGES

HI,
I want to make IMAGE FILE using number of other image tiling together!! how?

What have you tried?  What thoughts do you have?  Have you looked at the Vision Utilities on the Vision and Motion Palette?
I've not done this, myself, but I did make a black-and-white checkerboard pattern (with the size of the checks an input parameter), outputting a 2D U8 array that was "turned into" an image.  The functions necessary to "tile an image" do seem to be present in Vision Utilities.

  • I want to make a movie from two images

I have two images (.jpg) that I wnat to put together so they flop back and forth (one then the other) creating a movie lasting about 10 seconds.
How might I go about this using iMovie. I've tried about everthing I can think of. But I'm very new using iMove.
Thanks in advance for any help offered.

You can't "improve" the audio quality of an .mp3 file by converting it to AIFF. At ten MB's a minute they would have a 300 MB file but still the quality of the source.
I would use QuickTime Player Pro to make the "movie" of the .mp3 audio track. Here's how:
Create an all black image file (one bit .jpeg format) in any image editor. Use very small dimensions (just a few pixels to keep the file size down).
Open QuickTime Player Pro and then this new .jpeg file. Command-a (Select All) and Command-c (Copy).
Open the .mp3 file using QuickTime Player Pro. Command-a (Select All) and then choose "Add to Selection & Scale" from the edit menu.
Open the Movie Properties window, highlight the new video track with a single click and then click the Visual Settings tab.
Adjust the video track dimensions from the very small size of the source to whatever works best to fit the intended display. 640X480 would probably be best.
Use the Save menu to give this new file a different name. It will now be a .mov file with an all black video track and the original .mp3 audio.

  • How can I make different catalogs from the same image

How can I make different catalogs from the same image where that image has been changed in some way between the catalogs. For instance if I wanted to have a catalogs for cropped images and have 3 catalogs one for 4x6 , 5x7 and 8x10 cropping. When I tried this , if I changed a file in one catalog that same image in the other would change also.

Do not confuse the creation of the crops and the display in collections per crop ratio.
Of course one virtual copy (VC) per crop ratio is needed. If the same image should be cropped in all 3 mentioned ratios there would be 3 VCs.
The OP asked how to have/see a set of same-crop-ratios.
After having created the virtual copies for whatever crop ratio he wants, the way to display this result in the fashion asked for is via smart collections, provided they can be found. Without a plugin the naming of the VC with the crop ratio applied is a straight way to achieve that.
IF the wish is to get new crops automatically added. (See my answers 2+3)
IF the wish is to creat static collections per crop ratio for a certain set of images, I'd go as follows:
    1. Select all images you want to have cropped in that way,.
    2. With this selection click on the + to add another collection and fill the dialog box like this:
Then navigate into this newly created selection and perform the 4x6 crop - according to taste individually or by synchronizing the first crop.

  • Make the link from the single cell of Bex Report and the image of bill

    Hi guys,
my client scan every bill and archive the image by File.net technology.
In our Bex Report we have the Bill number and we want to make the link from the single cell and the image of bill.
The possible paths to solve the problem are:
Replicate the image in BW and crate a link from the single cell and the image of document.
Create an URL link from the single cell and the image of document archived on File.net server.
In witch way we can to implement the two paths?
    Thank you.

  • How do you make an Image from a Graphics?

    1) Is it possible to make an Image from a graphics?
I've returned the Graphics of an image in the method of one class so that I can work with it in another class. I was looking for a setGraphics in the Image class but there isn't one. Nor is there a graphics.createImage(). What I'd really like to do is get the background image, draw on it in a separate class, then return it to the original class (for buffering purposes).
    2) is there any way to make a blank Image of given dimensions (without actually making a .gif of a blank screen)? I want to draw on the background even if it is blank, but I can't get the Graphics of a null Image.
    thanks in advance.. :-) jen

thanks for all your help guys!
    i looked at those websites.
The reason why the site's buffered images work is becuase they are using the paint method in a single class. (i.e. they are not calling the graphics from someplace else). If you call a Graphics (using getGraphics and the like) from someplace else, you don't get a reference or pointer; you get a COPY. The copy will helpfully record your instructions. But the original graphics doesn't get the instructions. That's my problem. My graphics instructions are not getting sent to the originating Graphics, so drawRect never gets executed.
Another problem is that I often have no background picture in my container, and hence, I have a null pointer when I try to draw stuff on the returned Graphics.
So what I want to do is create an image in the subclass of the rectangles, lines, whatever, and send it to my handy little setBackground(Image im) method in my superclass. And whenever the background image is null, create a white image to draw on.
I am calling the graphics from the background of a custom lightweight container. I would REALLY REALLY not like to mess with my container code... it took me a long time to get it working.
I also don't want to override paint. That would make all the buffering work I did obsolete. :-(

  • If Possible to make a Image from

    Hello
I have a doubt, Well I have a System where Exist a Server a three station of Work, Two PC (Station Work) are Ultra 5 (Very Old)
The Idea is to change these computer by Ultra 80 Station (Because we have this type of machine in my Store)
Is possible to make a Image of the disk of the Ultra 5 and copy this information to Ultra 80?
If this is possible, I would Like to help me,
    Regard
    Andres

Since the NI-DAQ driver software is multithreaded, a multiprocessor system would have enhanced performance over a single processor system. Either way, you can have multiple handshaking digital I/O cards in a system for high speed acquisition, granted you have enough operating system resources (DMA, IRQ) for the cards.
You can find more information about this by going to the http://www.ni.com/support page and searching All Technical Resources for the keyword "multiprocessor". You will find an excellent NI Developer Zone presentation, as well as tutorials and other technical documents.

  • How Do You Make an Image Flow with the Text?

    Hello all,
I am using CS4 InDesign on Windows Vista. I am fairly new to Indesign but try to do my research and homework well before asking what I hope is not a really dumb question.
I am writing a book of approx. 350 pages that is an illustrated encyclopedia of 156 plants and their oils.
Each 2 page spread is a single entry for a plant. The graphics frames on each spread are identical in size, position and styles for a consistent look throughout the document. As you can see (hopefully) each page is a single column. See screenshot below
In order to overcome my first problem of positioning and sizing the graphics frames uniformly, I created the master pages with the graphics placeholders sized, positioned and formatted to my liking. This worked wonderfully and I placed all of my 300+ graphics by simply over riding each frame.
Then in my editing I decided to add another 2 page spread somewhere in the middle of this fairly large document.
What a NIGHTMARE. The text predictably shifted but now ALL of my graphics were no longer associated with the corresponding text! Arrrgghhh.I had not anticipated this behavior (used MS Word for 15 years) or I would have done something different.
3 hours later I finished re -"placing" the images associated with the correct text.
I researched the help file and found out about the neccessity of anchoring graphics to text. I have read through the threads in this forum, followed links to "indesignsecrets.com/make-an-image-flow-with-the-text" and " Working with anchored objects by Anne Marie Concepcion"
    My concerns are this.
An inline graphic places the graphic back onto your text layer for some reason ( Previously my graphics each had their own layer)
Not wanting to start (again) from scratch with my graphics I converted them to inline/custom anchored objects.
But to select then cut then paste every pre existing graphic to anchor it inline seems to be cumbersome and counter intuitive although the top smaller graphic did position well and the text seemed to wrap ok.
When I placed the larger bottom graphic on the left facing page using custom positioning I was not able to get the text to wrap at all.( The in line anchoring did not seem to allow for positioning on anything but the 'Y' axis).
It seems that there would be a simpler way to place text and graphics where you want them and have them associate and flow together (or not) when you want them to and have text wrap easily around an anchored object without keyboard gymnastics. It would seem that the concept of a certain graphic being associated or linked with certain text would not be an unusual concept in desktop publishing.
    Am I missing something?
Can you place an anchored graphics frame on the master page with your desired options?
How would this be done if possible?
Is there any other way (i.e grouping) to keep graphics associated with the desired text so that it flows together if extra pages are added?
Is the fact that my graphics frames are on my master pages responsible for my text wrap difficulty? (I have text wrap enabled on my master pages)
Are there any settings, redundant or otherwise, I need to be aware of?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions or directions
    L.N.

    Hello Again,
Thank You Bob but I am still a little fuzzy on this. I have already created object styles for the graphics frames. For instance the small graphic underneath the heading (Its a drop of oil) has an object style applied. Now I checked and it has the anchored object options checked in the style dialog box. When I reapply the style to the next similar graphics nothing happens. It is still not anchored. Do I need to create a new style based on "nothing" add my effects plus the anchoring options? Basically start over. If thats what I need to do thats OK. As to your instruction that object styles could accomodate this anchoring thing...thats what I thought too but somehow I can't get it to work. See object style dialog box screenshot below:
For the larger graphic on the bottom of the left facing page. I still cannot get any text to wrap. In the screenshot example the text describing this particular plant doesn't go to the bottom of the page so the wrapping issue on this page is moot. However I have some entries where the body of the description is more involved and does go to the bottom of the page and the text WOULD need to wrap around the plant (larger ) graphic.
Hi there Harb, Yes I found out early on that object styles can't apply size (that would be on my wish list for sure) That is why I found that creating my graphics frames on the master page with the correct size, effects and positioning tickled me so much. Can you believe I originally went through and MANUALLY resized and repositioned each and every 300+ graphics in this book but it still wasn't right. I'm nothing if not persistent. (Now if I could just get my grown sons to pick up their socks!)
Anyway the master page graphics frames idea would be perfect if I could get the images to anchor in their respective spots on the master page as well.
For your second suggestion. I am not clear about why I would need to break the threads of each spread so that each spread is a seperate article. Is the threading issue the thing that is causing my text to move on leaving their associated graphics behind? If so how do I go about doing this?
    So to recap:
    1. I need to know if I can modify my object style or recreate from scratch with the anchoring option (as I said it didn't work)
    2. Can't get text to wrap around the Custom anchored graphic at bottom of page at all
    3. Im not clear on the breaking the threading on the spreads
I am willing to go back through and start from scratch (new master pages, styles etc ) if neccesary. This book is the culmination of 7 years of research and artwork.Basically the project is DONE. Now if I can just format it correctly.
I can't thank you both enough for your time, suggestions, expertise and patience.
    Thanks again

  • Can no longer make system image after Win 8.1 upgrade (error 0x80780119)

I've recently upgraded to 8.1 and am now trying to make system image.
Unfortunately, it's failing with error 80780119.
    [Image of failed backup|http://www.sawyourad.com/toshiba/failed.png]
I've had this happen before on another computer system, and resizing the recovery partition seems to fix it, and is what's suggested on the web.
However, I can't seem to do that on this machine, diskmgmt.msc doesn't seem to show any disk space used, and worse, many of the partitions seem to be duplicated
    [image of disk partitions|http://www.sawyourad.com/toshiba/diskmgmt.png]
You'll notice that none of the recovery partitions appear to have any space used.
I'm at a loss as to what to do next.
The 8.1 update has pretty much rendered my machine unsafe to use, as I can't back it up any more.
I hope I don't need to add Toshiba to my don't buy list.

    Hi
    >I hope I don't need to add Toshiba to my don't buy list.
This is not a option buddy. Why? Because it seems that this is a common Windows issue as many people asked for a solution in the Microsoft forums and community.
    [Backup fails Error code 0x81000019|http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/25deba76-464b-4a9d-9b32-a283bb6a88ce/windows-7-rc-backup-fails-errorcode-0x81000019?forum=w7itproperf]
Someone solved this by de-selecting the create driver image checkbox available when you choose the contents of the backup.
But it looks like his error come when hidden System Reserved partition created by Windows system does not have enough space to store a shadow copy.
Please check the freespace on this volume.
    Follow the following steps:
    1. Start -> Computer -> Right click -> Manage
    2. Select Storage -> Disk management.
    3. Verify that you have a System Reserved partition of around 100 MB size or more
    4. If yes, right click on this volume and select Properties.
    5. View used and free space.
Windows backup requires around 40 MB of free space on this partition to backup successfully.
So if the free space is less than 40 GB, backup does not get enough free space.
As a workaround try the following solution:
Since the default System reserved partition cannot be extended, creating a new system volume is the workaround. Here are the steps to move the system volume to any other volume:
    1. Choose where you want to have your system volume.
Few things you need to keep in mind:
    a. System volume can only be created on a primary partition of MBR disk.
    b. If system volume & boot volume are together, then BitLocker feature cannot be used to encrypt volumes on your machine.
    2. Suggest creating a new volume (say F:) on the same disk that contains the boot partition of size of about 490 MB (be careful to keep it less than 500 MB).
    3. Assuming Windows is installed on C: on your machine. From an elevated command-prompt run: bcdboot.exe /s C:\Windows /s F:.
    4. From elevated command-prompt run: DISKPART
    5. From the disk part command-prompt:
    DISKPART> select volume F
    DISKPART> active
Now you can reboot your machine and F: will become the system volume.
You can undo this by repeating the same steps using the original system volume (you have to assign drive-letter to it) to revert to your previous configuration.

  • Best way to make an image backup of a Boot Camp partition?

I want to upgrade my Windows XP partition to Windows 7. Before I do, though, I want to make a complete image backup of the partition, so if anything gets terribly screwed up, I can restore from the image and be right back where I started.

  • How to make an image of a folder.

I want to make back up my applications folder cause I have alot of stuff that if I were to lose it I wouldn't even know what to redownload or get from where ever else, when I try to transfer the folder to my external hd it takes forever because it wants to scan everything in the package contents of every app. so I want to make an image so I can transfer real quick. and I can just restore everything a little easier. is there anything I can use to do this that came in OS X or any freeware I could get?

It would actually be easier to make an archive of the folder. Just control-click the folder and select "Creat Archive of '<name of folder>'" But, if you still want to make an image, go do Disk Utility, and then click "New Image" at the top of the window. Next, you'll have to name the image, and select the size (everything other opttion can stay as it is). After you create the image, it will open and you'll have to drag your folders contents (or the folder) into the open image, then eject it. After that, your image is finished.
