- In the PBO ([AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/advancedsearch?cat=sdn_all&query=atSELECTION-SCREENOUTPUTLOOPATSCREEN&adv=false&sortby=cm_rnd_rankvalue]) hide (SCREEN-INVISIBLE = 1.) or deactivate the parameter (SCREEN-ACTIVE = 0.) in a [LOOP AT SCREEN|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/advancedsearch?cat=sdn_all&query=atSELECTION-SCREENOUTPUTLOOPATSCREEN&adv=false&sortby=cm_rnd_rankvalue] block.
- Create a [variant|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/advancedsearch?cat=sdn_all&query=reportvarianttransaction&adv=false&sortby=cm_rnd_rankvalue] which hides or protects the parameter and assign it to the transaction.
Deactivate parameter may only be filled by a calling program, invisible and input field will look like a password field.
Also make a [little search on sdn @sap.com|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/advancedsearch?cat=sdn_all&query=invisibleparameterselection-screen&adv=false&sortby=cm_rnd_rankvalue]

How to make the buttons INVISIBLE in the Application toolbar

Hi All,
I have a requirement to create a button in the Application toolbar of the Module Pool Screen. The field should be made Invisible by default. and it should be displayed based on one condition.
Could you please let me know how to make that particular button INVISIBLE. I think we can make it invisible by using EXCLUDING statement. But, How to make the button VISIBLE again when the check is satisfied.
I found from the portal that the FM 'VIEW_SET_PF_STATUS' can be used to make a button INVISIBLE. Could anyone help me out how to pass the parameters to this Function module?
or is there any Function Module available to make the button VISIBLE and INVISIBLE? Please help me on this issues.
Is there any possibility to make the button VISIBLE or INVISIBLE as we do for the screen fields using LOOP AT SCREEN..?

Hi,
Try to use below in the PBO module status_0100 OUTPUT.
DATA t_fcode TYPE TABLE OF sy-ucomm.
refresh t_fcode[].
APPEND 'Function code name of the button' TO t_fcode.
Check the condition here for which you want to make field visible.
DELETE FCODE of the button from T_FCODE table
ENDIF.
SET PF-STATUS 'STATUS_0100' EXCLUDING t_fcode.

I am making a report on employees and departments but i want to choose employees for some required departments for that i need to use parameter, and i need help that how will i make a parameter in reports builder 10g.
I am able to do it by writing a where clause in query but now i want to do it from user parameters. Seek help here.

Here is a list of things to do. Let me know if anything is not clear.
1) In your main query create a lexical parameter at the very end of you where clause ( dont put and &p_where just &p_where)

2)Create a user parameter with datatype character and width 200
ex: P_departments
3) Create a field on the Paper Parameter Form
4) Click on that field and go to the List of Values (if you want a lov...) and insert the following
Ex:
select 'All',' All Departments' from dual
union
select to_char(department),to_char(department)||' - '||department_name
from departments
order by 1
5) Go to Report Triggers > After Parameters and insert the following
Ex:
begin
:p_where := null;
if :p_departments not like '%All%' then
:p_where := :p_where ||' and table.department = '||:p_departments;
end if;
return (true);
end;
This will allow you to select a department or leave it at the default of all departments. It will also allow you to remove the hardcoded statement in your where clause such as
where department = 'HR'

The Account Groups is the one which maintains the field status for the customer master. In case you want to change the field status (i.e. changage the mandatory field to optional field) you need to maintain the same (i.e. changage the mandatory field to optional field) by navigating to the field status screen and then to the general data tab. Here you can change the status of the your field by selecting the 'OPTIONAL' radio button for the respective field and then save the transaction.

Tabstrip Controls
Tabstrip controls are made up of pushbuttons (the tabs) and several subscreens. Each tab has its own subscreen. These tabs are part of the main screen and are therefore displayed in the field list of the dialog box for the main screen. Subscreen fields are displayed in other dialog boxes.
According to how a tabstrip has been constructed internally:
● Either a sole dialog box is displayed for the subscreen that belongs to the tab that is currently active, or
● Dialog boxes are displayed for all subscreens that belong to the tabstrip control.
If an invisible tab is set to active by the application transaction, different subscreens are selected for those tabs remaining that actually belong to other tabs. If the subscreens are invisible, it is also possible that an empty screen will be displayed.
Technical Background:
The transaction variant sets another tab (the remaining tab furthest left) to active. This additional active tab is, however, unknown in the application transaction, which assumes that its tab is active and selects the corresponding subscreen. If this subscreen has been faded out using the transaction variant, then an empty screen is displayed.

I don't know if the nodes can be made invisible. But if you make cell renderer then you can evaluate the value before displaying it. If value is like 'datatype', you display (cell renderer displays) nothing as value in the cell.

How do I make a parameter mandatory in sql script?
I have 2 optional parameters:
1) parameter1 (&1)
2) parameter2 (&2)
parameter1 has 4 values:
1) East
2) West
3) North
4) South
paramete2 has 3 values:
1) 123
2) 456
3) 789
when I choose a value (North) from parameter1 the parameter2 has to become mandotory. If i choose any values from parameter1 other than North, parameter2 should be optional.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
For the parameters required, while declaring them use the MODIF ID, lets say you have choosen the modif id as SC1.
i.e. parametes: p_mat type matnr DEFAULT '100' MODIF ID SC1.
Then in the initialization event, code as below.
    LOOP AT SCREEN.
      IF screen-group1 = 'SC1'.
        screen-input = '0'.
        MODIFY SCREEN.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
It will work.

This statement writes the comm comment on the selection screen. For comm, you can specify a text symbol or a field name with a maximum length of eight characters. This character field must not be declared with the DATA statement, but is generated automatically with length len. The field must be filled before the selection screen is called. You must always specify the pos(len) addition. Only if there are several elements in one line can you omit pos.
The text comm will be displayed, starting in column pos, for a length of len. If you do not use a slash (/), the comment is written into the current line; otherwise a new line is created.
You use FOR FIELD f to assign a field label to the comment. f can be the name of a parameter or a selection criterion. As a result, if the user requests help on the comment on the selection screen, the help text for the assigned field f is displayed.

Hi Experts,
I got a requirement to disable a field Business unit in all transactions of Plant maintainance. I heard that it can be done with the help of transaction SHDG.
I am not aware of this transaction. So anyone please provide some information or the material related to this transaction.
Also let me know. If i make this field invisible using this transaction. If the same field business unit is used in other modules such as SD, FICO then there also will it get invisible?
If that is the case how to overcome the above scenario.

I think its not shdg but shd0.
the best way to do it is Screen Variant and Transcation Variant.
Tcode for it is SHD0 and you can disable, make any field invisible, make screen invisible , can have default value can be done through SHD0.

Is it possible to make the background invisible in an flash desktop application?

Hey there,
I am currently trying to build a small desktop application in flash which works a bit like the scmpoo sheep (scmpoo - Cute little lamb / sheep on your desktop - YouTube). A screenmate with just a few animations and a movieclip tied together in as3.
My problem now is, that the animated animal should a least look like it really moves on the users desktop, since I found no way to really place it there.
I already set it to fullscreen mode, which removes the borders but I can't find a way to make the backgound invisible/transparent. In web-browsers this seems to be quite easy, but does it work for the desktop flash at all?
And if yes, how do I do it?

I'm sure this is something easy that I'm missing, but I can't figure it out. How do I make a button invisible? I need it to be invisible through frame 43 of my movie. I have tried changing the alpha to 0, but it's not letting me change that, except in the edit button mode which changes it for the entire duration and not just through frame 43.

It can vary slightly depending on which version of actionscript your file is using, but just turn the visible property off and on. For AS3....
