Make a rattling noise near the camera

Make a rattling noise near the camera. Is it normal?

There is nothing inside the iPhone that is helped by shaking.  In the iPhone you may here the camera focusing and making a sound like a rattle.  You may also have a loose part that you hear when shaking.
If concerned, take the iPhone to an Apple store genius bar and have the technicians check it for you.
At any rate, shking will not make your iPhone any better so is not a good thing to be doing.

  • Iphone 4s makes a rattling noise when tapped near the camera

Started noticing a quiet but distinctive rattling noise near the camera on the back of the iphone 4s, is it normal or could something be loose?

Sorry if it's over 14 days apple does not refund the device, just sit tight and keep on asking for a device that doesn't rattle, be firm but polite about your position on the matter.

  • Iphone 5 makes a rattling noise from day 1, the replacement also makes this similar noise. customer care can provide me with another replacement but can not promise if the new replacement will have this noise or not. can i get a refund ?

my iphone 5 from day one makes a rattling noise when you shake the device.
the replacement i recieved also makes the similar rattling noise, apple calls it a "common problem" and says its the autofocus of the camera which makes the noise, but people i know are not experiencing any such noise in their evices, hence its not their in all the iphone.
honestly investing Rs 45000 in india i dont expect my device to have a stupid defect as this one,
In my latest conversation i have had with a senior representative of apple care iv been given an option to have anpther replacement but they cant promise me that the new replacemnt will have no such rattling noise it might be even worse.
since apple cant promise me a replacement without any such noise and my device is not even 90 days old, and since apple calls it a common problem in iphone5 is it possible that they give me replacement of 5c or 5s and il pay the difference in price or just have a refund ? since they cant provide me with a solution and keeping this device with this defect is not a solution with me.

  • I want to ask what can I do if I have broken the broad of my iphone at the back near the camera?

I want to ask what can I do if I have broken the broad of my iphone at the back near the camera?

I don't know how to explain it. Just the place near the camera has broken.

  • There is a rattling noise at the top of my iphone5.do anyone have a suggestion to fix this issue.?

Please help me to fix this issue as i cant adjust with this rattling noise at the top when i share my phone

We're talking about the shortcuts you can add to the top of a Finder window, which occasionally get unlinked and turn into question marks. What are you talking about?

  • What do i do if while replacing my iphone 4s screen i lost one of the screws on the inside near the camera? am i okay without that screw or what should i do?

I was replacing my cracked screen on my iphone 4s and while unscrewing one of the screws it fell out and i cant find it. It was the upper screw near the camera on the EFM shield and antenna clip. I was wanting to know whether i would be okay without that screw or what i should do?

A couple of things I would suggest. If you have a friend with a broken iPhone of the same type, they might be willing to let you take it apart to get the missing screw. Or, if you bought the replacement screen from one of the reputable online sources (as opposed to some fly-by-night ebay vendor), then you might want to contact them and see if they will sell you the single screw for some minimal price.

  • I hear this rattle when i put my iphone on a surface. when i tap it, it appears to be near the camera. is this normal?

my friends iphones dont do this at all and this is my replacement phone since my first iphone rattled too
    what should i do?

Actually, it is normal. I had the same problem, and brought my phone to the apple store. The genius people told me the original iPhone 4 had problems with buttons getting stuck, so now they are manufactured a little looser then some might like. They showed several phones at the store with the same "problem" and although I had another problem with my phone so it got replaced, they don't replace for loose buttons/rattling. For the record, my replacement phone does the same thing.

  • The rattle noise affecting the Z3 aswell?

The exact same rattle noise comes out of my XZ and my brand new Z3.
The only difference is that this time around I can hear it on my Z3 even when I open the camera app or switch back and forward between the camera modes, the intensity of the rattle being much lower  than when tapping the phone.
Anyone else facing this issue aswell?

I have just tried to replicate that and can not. In this case it would be worth speaking with your local Xperia Care team to arrange an assessment of the device sorry.

  • My AppleTV 3 makes a horrid noise over the speakers when I play movies in Netflix.

This problem just started and it seems to be only on certain videos. For example: all of the episodes in Season 1 of Dexter work just fine, but as soon as you try to play season 2, it makes this horrible rattling noise like a rattle snake and no other audio comes out. Has anyone else had this problem? I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, but to no effect.

Have you tried adjusting the "Audio Out" and the "Dolby Digital" settings in settings > audio and video? It may be worth trying several combinations of these settings, although typically it is the "Dolby Digital" setting that causes most problems for users.

  • My iMac makes strange clicking noises on the back of it

It makes some random clicking noises on the back of my iMac that just irritates me alot. What is wrong with it? I purchased it like 2 months ago and I don't think it's a virus or anything. Can anyone help?
    Thank you

    Hello:
I suggest you take the computer in for diagnosis.  Strange noises are not normal.
Incidentally, there are NO viruses that affect a Mac running OS X - NONE.

  • Super drive makes loud whirring noise while the whole MacBook shakes...

Hi there folks. I've had my MacBook for about six months, and every time I put a (homemade) media CD or DVD into the super drive, it makes a horrendous loud noise continuously that's enough to drive me to drink! Not only that, the whole MacBook 'shakes' because of it, and the only way to stop that is to eject the CD/DVD.
But if I put an audio CD into the super drive, even if one burned by myself (as I'm a musician by trade), or if I put a commercial movie DVD into it, then it makes a [softer] noise (as if an airline about to take off) which then goes away.
Could someone perhaps explain this discrepancy, and tell me if there's a remedy? (I'd really like to watch my god-daughter play the piano in a QT movie - and hear her playing at the same time without shaking in my chair, you know!)

    Hi,
How often do you use your Drive? Do you use it every day all day? And how much have you used it. You might just need to replace it.
    Regards,
    Marc

  • Bizarre noises near the processor on Satellite M40

I have a notebook Satellite M40-243, I sent it to service under warranty for a problem of graphic display.
It returned yesterday, now it work good but the processor emits bizarre noises.
The warranty service doesn't want to fix that because "there isn't any disfonctionnements??!
    Listen these sounds: http://yang69.evoconcept.net/sounds/bruitsproc.mp3
    Is it normal?!
    I think no
(Sorry for my bad English :)

Its very strange sound but I dont think that comes from the CPU.
It sounds more like a Fan, CD drive or HDD.
However, this should be definitely checked Its not normal behaviour

  • [MSI 760GM-P23 (FX)]High Pitched Noise near the CPU or from the CPU itself?

I just built this rig 3 weeks ago and I decided to update my BIOS because it's not compatible with Spec Ops: The Line, the game worked but the mobo/cpu started making these high pitched noise. I'm pretty sure it's not coming from the PSU because it at the bottom. The sound is not consistent
but it's really annoying when I hear it, do I need replace it or is there a way to get rid of it?
    Specs:
    AMD FX-6 6100 Black Edition 6 Core 3.3Ghz
    MSI 760GM-P23 (FX)
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev 2
    Crucial 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1333Mhz Ballistix Sport
PowerColor HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB GDDR
Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB Hard Drive SATAII
    CIT 500w Power supply

In most cases such noises are the effect of resonance caused by a PSU that does not provide clean power (not able to properly filter the noise in the signals, especially under rapidly changing power demand conditions).

  • I have just purchased two iPhone 5s one has an annoying rattle near the camera why is this?

I have just purchased two iPhone 5s - one has an annoying rattle and one does not.  After lots of research many seem to have the same problem.  Does anyone know what Apple say about the problem?

They are under warranty ,take it to an Apple Stoe Genius bar

  • When I tap the back side of iphone5 near the camera, the rattling sound occurs. is this normal?

somebody says it is because of auto focus of the lens. but from where is the source? is there any engineer who agrees with this?

Check the Ring/Silent switch above the volume rocker switch. It could be loose.
