Make appear the video tab in my ipod ??

Hi! I bought a ipod nano, And I got a problem with it, When I want add Videos from my computer I cannot do it, Or I don't know how, I saw in the ipod nano guide that I need go to itunes and then click in the little ipod that is in the right ok I already did it But i can't find the video tab in there, and I can't find the video option in my ipod too. My other question is how I can add notes to my ipod, Because I cannot see the folder for add notes when I connect my ipod, I'm really confused I you help please, can I have some way to resolve my problem? Or I have to send back my ipod?

Your iPod is not broken and does not need repair.
The iPod nano does not support videos and cannot play them. iTunes will not give you the option of putting videos onto the iPod nano as it cannot play them. What you are experiencing is normal.

The video tab in ipod options

Hey!! Got a quick question. Has anyone heard of something like this... When i plug my 30g video into computer start up itunes and everything is running ok, but then i go into ipod options and select the video tab, everything is grey water mark.. and i cannot select anything such as automatically update videos or manually or anything like that, and i do have videos in itunes and on my ipod already i dont know what it is, please help, much appreciated thanx

The Video tab is all greyed out if you have your iPod set to Manually manage music (in iTunes -> Preferences -> iPod -> Music).
If you are manually managing music, you must manually manage videos as well. You do this the same way you copy music over to your iPod.

"Sync All Movies" option is missing from the Videos tab.

I just imported 453 short movie clips (totaling around 1.8 GB) into iTunes and now I want to synchronize them to my iPhone. I noticed that the option to "Sync All Movies" as found in previous versions of iTunes or perhaps only enabled for other devices is missing from the Videos tab under my iPhone's sync options. Is Apple seriously suggesting that I have to manually check off 453 boxes in a list box that only displays 10 items vertically at a time? I'm at a loss for words.
If there's any way I can have iTunes automatically do this, please let me know. Here's a screenshot of the feature in question, MIA for me:

My mistake, apparently shift clicking one item selects them all. I was trying to do the Windows CTRL + A shortcut (which works in the Library view but not in the list box of Videos to sync).
I guess that makes me a typical Windows user.

How to get a dvd onto the video tab only on itunes

Do you mean opening a window via the File menu (File > New Window) or do you always want to open links that you click on web pages in a new window?

What spec is the video output on an ipod?

Hi,
I know when playing movies on an ipod the specs are:
H.264 video: up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec.
MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec.
But is this the same for the video output on an ipod video 30GB version?

I searched all over on the Apple site. I cannot find what you are looking for. From what I understand, the video quality of hooking the iPod to a medium-small TV screen would be around or a bit less of the quality of a local TV station on flaky cable (depending on your provider). Just my understanding. My guess is that the stats are about the same, except, depending on the screen, the resolution and other size aspects would be different.

In the Windows version, the settings to enable this are here:
Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> check in Use Skype to call to links on the web -> Save.

I have a video file i transfered to my iPhone from my laptop using iTunes. The video is in the "videos" tab on my phone. Is there a way to move it to my "camera roll" so i can text (sms/mms) it to my friends?

The video tab in ipod is locked- cannot load dvd (.mp4 files) files to ipod

I converted the dvd files to .mp4 files (Using cusoft).
The files were loaded in the itune (by using add files to library). I can play the dvd in the itune on my pc but cannot transfer the dvd files to the ipod because:
The dvd tab in the ipod is locked (white out). I can see the white out: [X] do not update video files .
Since the dvd tab is locked out I cannot transfer the dvd files to the ipod. I used the latest verson of itune and ipod programs.

Why is an artist not showing in under the Artists tab on my ipod yet I can choose individual songs on the Songs tab

I would like to listen to my entire Alice in Chains playlist. When I go to the Artists tab to find them, Alice in Chains does not appear. However, if I look for a specific song by them using the Songs tab, I can find each song individually. I am not sure of this is happening with other artists as well, this is the only one I have noticed so far. Not having the search function on this new ipod model is a huge detriment to its functionality, otherwise I could have just searched for Alice in Chains to find their playlist.
As a note: I believe it is something to do with the ipod itself because I have the same songs synched to my Gen 5 ipod and I have no problem pulling Alice in Chains up as an Artist.

Make sure the songs have Artist and album info in the ID tags.

When I watch a video of TV show online, whenever an ad comes, the video stops and a message appears: "The video you have requested is ... being blocked by an ad blocker installed in your browser." How can I resolve?

I had been having no problem watching videos online of recent TV shows. Now the video stops every time it comes to the built-in ads. Has an update of Firefox installed an ad blocker that's making it impossible for me to watch TV videos (of recent TV shows at the network websites) without getting stopped every time an ad comes on. If I jump ahead to a point AFTER the ads, then sometimes, it WILL play the ads so the ads aren't blocked "after the fact".

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Playlists aren't showing under the music tab on my ipod when using Itunes.

So I bought a new Ipod Nano the other day and I wanted to create folders and playlists manually so I can organise things to the way I like them.
But every time I click 'new playlist/folder' it appears under the device tab instead of the music tab like it had done before.
I have my settings set to manual and I don't want to sync things over because when I do that, it wont let me organise playlists or folders.
So can someone tell me how I can fix this and what I am doing wron?. Or if this is just an annoying new feature of the new itunes?

I have this problem too. When i remove all my music, I am able to click on the music tab without a problem. This leads me to believe that iTunes isn't able to handle all my music? My laptop is fairly new, with an i7 processor and 8gb ram, so the computer is definitely not the problem. Any ideas? Were you able to fix it yet?

How do I make only the video stream through atv and keep audio via pc

Basically I am having the video streamed via atv3 to my tv via HDMI, but I want the speakers connected to my PC to be used. They're logitech speakers that have the pink-green-black 3.5mm cable setup. They can't be plugged into the TV and it appears that the HDMI stream pulls audio through the TV but I just want it to only stream the video, if that's possible.
I have searched other forums but due to ignorance I couldn't quite understand if their questions were the same, and the answers didn't seem to fit

What is the size limit for your email system? It may be that it is too small for any reasonable audio file. I'd suggest looking at a file-hosting and download service like YouSendIt, which would let people download the full presentation.
