New user of Imac..... Different users set on my IMac. How to make new applications visible by all users ?

Any application installed on the computer by default is usable by all the users. If you have an app you want in each users Dock that isn't there by default here are instructions. Locate the app in the Applications folder and drag it to the Dock for each user.
As someone new to OS X, I'd recommend bookmarking and using:

Normally we use feedback as an explanation by an approver to the previous approver about his action on the doc( reject/approve).
I think you want ur users to view the doc and then give suggestions to make it better and these comments should be approved and then made visible.

Make XFCE4 default for all users

I got Arch up and running with XFCE4. its great so far
I am using either xdm or wdm as my login manager (havent decided which i want yet)
I added a ".xinitrc" file to my home folder so that XFCE4 will start when I log in. is there a way to make XFCE4 the default wm for all new users without having to add a .xinitrc file to all of their home folders? I only plan on using XFCE4 so I dont need the login manager to load other wm's. but i would like to be able to add users and have their session automatically start as XCFE. all i have found by googling and on LQ.org is making a .xinitrc file, but these seem to lean toward a single user system. there has to be an easier way, ie with fedora when you make a new user, log out and log in as the new user and it will start the default wm, or you can choose whichever wm you want to use.
im using arch 0.7.2 'gimmick' and all packages have been updated

Font Book. Can you make Font Collections for all users?

I set up a few font collections. Now when I login as another user, these font collections are not available. Each user seems to have to set up their own collections.
Is there any way to set up font collections that all users may be able to access?
This would be handy if all the users wanted the same collections. Is this possible?

Feedback visible for all users?

Hi,
we want to use the feedback option in KM. In the feedback iView under Details SAP says "Feedback allows comments to be sent to the item's author, who finds all feedback listed here. You only see feedback you have sent. You can delete your feedback later."
Our problem is that all users can see and delete the feedback from all users. I tried to change permissions for the resource but had no success.
Any ideas? We are using EP 7.0 SPS 9

When you add feedback you also have to change the service permissions. Only changing your permissions is not enough
If you have done that, other people are not able to change or delete your feedback...

How to make extension available for all users in a multi user environment

In a multi-user environment, a user install a dreamweaver extension,but just the user who install the extension can use it.
Is there a way that administrator install the extension and make this extension available for other users in multi-user environment(e.g. the Windows 7)

Dreamweaver had this capability many releases ago, but it has been dropped, so it's no longer available.

DynPage - Store data in application scope (for ALL users)

I want to share data between ALL the users of this portal application (I am looking for something equal to Application Object in ASP.NET).
I thought of using 'Component Context storage' but according to note 802015 it's not recommended.

Tested "session object with SCOPE_COMPONENT/SCOPE_CONTEXT" with no success.
I thought of using servletContext but when dealing with portal applications the servletContext belongs to the "prt" servlet, meaning the value will be persistent as long as the portal is up...
Any ideas?

AFAIK, you can set the System Msg for SLD (SLD -> Administration -> System Message), but not for IR/ID.
Yep, as mentined by Ricardo and there is one more option "Display System Message".. it means, we can create system messages.. i guess try to look in VA, may be u may get an option to create this there.

SCSM - Service Request Area list - modifications not showing for all users

Hi All
As you cant edit the Service Request Area list, i've settled on changing the default display names to better reflect the categories we want for our SR's. The changes i've made are visible in SCSM on my computer (where i made the changes from), however if
i fire up another instance on a different computer - i can only see the defaults. Anyone seen that before? Typically when i make any sort of change to a list item it is visible for all users.
I'm aware that there is a custom MP out there to allow you to have your own SR Area List, however i was not able to get it to work in our environment (link: http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Custom-Service-Request-e4d40738/view/Discussions#content)

Have you made sure that the selected language in both consoles (the one you are editing from and the one you are testing in) are the same?
When editing lists you will only be asked to save changes (be that changing existing values or adding new ones) if they are stored in a sealed MP - which they should be according to best practice.
If you are not asked which MP to save to then you have already "commited yourself" to a specific MP. You could delete this MP (if there is nothing but the list values in it) or delete them one by one using the console. Then when back to square one the console
will once more ask you which MP to save changes to.

Saving AVL view settings for all users

I am working on web dynpro abap application which shows alv results of more reports (you will select report and it will show the alv table result).
I have to use some standard reports for this, so I copied it to Z report and modify it so this is possible. Problem I have is that is standard report the output have maybe 10 columns, but the table I got from the report has maybe 26. I want to limit shown columns on the ALV with settings of view for alv, but the assignment is only possible for the user.
Is there any way how to create one view settings and make it initial for all users?
I know there is a way of modifying the standard view via abap code, but I want to keep the possibility to show all fields if required.

another problem, I was expecting the newly created variant / layout / settings for view would be tied to the displayed table (which sounds kind of wired as I wrote it down).
But since I am displaying different tables in the same UI element and binding the tables and their structures dynamically the created variant applies to all of the tables (or thats how it seems) so the table which have all fields different then the layout shows nothing.
Do you have any ideas how to get around it?
My idea would be to store the layout (but i have no idea how it looks at db level) and identification of the report to some customer table and fill attribute of alv table dynamically according to used report. But thats just my idea, I have no idea if it si possible to do it like this.
Is there some other way how to accomplish this functionality?
I have also tried to do it on fieldcatalog level of the alv table, but it seems to show first, let's say, 8 fields if there is 8 fields in the fieldcatalog.
Any help or ideas please??

we can´t find out how to add our protocol to registry (trusted protocols) for all users.
we are developing office addin, which enable insert special link to word document in format like this:
corinth://app/foo?p1=vegetarian&p2=food
our protocol is associated with our metro app, user click opens our metro app with some parameters which opens app and sets the app state using parameters contained in link

only way we have is adding our protocol to current user registry, like this:

Hi,
As a work around create a warehouse SelectWH and map the mandatory acoounts as a On hold account(in chart of accounts).So there will not be any posting on this account.
And set this warehouse as default warehouse for all users.
So without selecting the appropriate warehouse the user can not add the document.
I think this might resolve you issue.

to put an object into the servlet context.
This object is visible for all sessions(e.g. some configurations or global settings for the
web application).
Now my question:
Is there a possibility in a WebDynpro application to put such an object into a "global context" visible for all sessions?
So I am looking for a container in WebDynpro which has

To make an Variable Global ,you have define variable at various levels based on Usage.
1)Ex: If you want to define Variable between two different Components . when A component is embedded into B Component then you have to define at Component Interface level and Mapping has to be Defined.
2) If you want to make Variable to be used within the component among the Iviews ,then you can define at Component Controller or Custom Controller and Mapping has to be defined at Iview Level.
3) If you want to use Variable between two Webdynpro Iviews then you have define the eventing mechanism to pass the values among the EP Webdynpro Iviews.
