hi, i wanted to make my calendar automatic display the events in a specific month. should i use ifelse statement or switch case statement? my web site have display calendar for the current month. it aotumatically update. now i wanted to highlight the special event on that month like New Year, Christmas etc. it automatically change the event according to the month. when it comes to May, it won't display April event but May event such as Labour Day. this is the example, what i wanted it to be is the event date changes according to the month.

Make Calendar Event with the Person You're Talking To

Say you're talking to someone and you make an appointment with them. You hang up the phone. You open calendar. Instead of having to enter their info from scratch in Calendar, is there a way to have that info entered automatically? It seems like a no-brainer to me.

Can't make calendar entries after upgrade to OS5

I recently upgraded my iphone 3gs from OS4 to OS5.01. Now I cannot make any calendar entries. The + sign in Calendar is no longer visible. I have seen a few other reports of this in other discussions, but so far no solutions. Is there a fix available for this? If not, can I revert back to OS4.x which worked fine and wait for a future release of OS5?

Problem resolved. Went to Settings > iCloud and turned on Calendar.

How to make calendar wider?

I need to make the APEX month-calendar display wider so that I can cram more text into the day cells. The "Calendar" template is listed in: APEX > Shared Components > Templates.
I probably just need to change the style sheet. I found the following classes listed in: APEX > Shared Components > Templates > Edit Calendar Template:

The themes that I've found to be the most user modifiable are Black, White, Formal, Modern and Modern Frame. They don't use image files that limit the size of the page. I will select the one of those 4 based on the color of the navbar text so it is most visible with the design of the site.

On my iPad 3, how do I make calendar items lasting more than one day appear as such on the monthly view of my calendar? Right now only the first day of the item appears.

On iPad 3, all of my calendar items lasting more than one day do not appear correctly when looking at the monthly view of the calendar; only the first day of the appointment appears. For example, if I am taking a vacation for 4 days, only the first day of the vacation is marked on the calendar, instead of being listed on all 4 days. When I look at the weekly view, however, it is correct and is listed on all 4 days. The problem here of course is that at a glance, there is no way to look at my monthly schedule. On my iPhone, everything is correct, regardless of month or week view, so clearly this is an iPad problem I guess? Please advise on how this can be corrected. Thank you!

Unfortunately you can't do what you want. Many people have complained to Apple about this. I suggest you provide Apple feedback directly at http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html. They will not provide a direct response but hopefully if enough people provide feedback Apple will fix this.

ClearType makes fonts in Dreamweaver code view hard to read

I'm using Dreamweaver 8.0.2 with Windows Vista Business. As
you know, Vista has a feature called "ClearType," which is supposed
to help smooth out the on-screen fonts. It normally does do this,
but for some reason, in Dreamweaver code view, some of the edges of
fonts are cut off, making it very difficult to read at times. See

I've tried changing the display fonts within Dreamweaver
(from Courier New to Arial, etc.), but it doesn't help. Actually,
Arial is worse. But here's what fixes it: turning off ClearType. I
haven't noticed ClearType messing any fonts up in programs except
for Dreamweaver. Why is DW doing this and is there anything I can
do to get ClearType to work with it?

You might want to try Clear Type Tuner. It is a Microsoft
tool to let you
adjust your clear type settings to your liking. It was
written for XP. I'm
not sure if they have a Vista version out yet, but the XP
version might
work.

How to Make Flash CS4/Dreamweaver CS4 Website Function on all Latest Mobile Devices

I am trying to add code into my Dreamweaver CS4 file and/or Flash CS4 file in order to have the website I have created work across all of the latest mobile devices as well as traditional online systems. My flash file has a transparent stage, and my dreamweaver file has a full-screen background image. I have reviewed various tutorials and articles available online, and some advocate simply adding code, which does not seem to be working for me, while others suggest having a similar separate site created solely for mobile devices. If this is the best option, I don't know how that should be set up. What is the best path to take with this?

I have tried various combinations of the code listed above, but nothing seems to be working. I am not sure as to the correct positioning of the code, and maybe that is the problem, or maybe it is because this code in not for CS4, or not appropriate for my project. I also do not know what code should be inside the Flash file, nor what should should be inside the Dreamweaver file.

There is no simple code to add that will display the same on all mobile devices....
you do know that the iProducts (iPhone, iPad, etc) don't display Flash at all, right?
So as a start for "functioning on all latest mobile devices" you should drop any Flash content you have and move on.

30Boxes weird time warp makes calendars impossible to update

I can't find anyplace else to ask this question, and I think that there are some iCal users here who use 30Boxes for its superior printing capabilities, so I hope somebody here has figured this out!
A school has a web site that has a couple of google calendars embedded in it for an Activities calendar and a Lunch Menu calendar. Works great as a web page, on lots of devices, and lots of folks have it included in their iCals. And the school prints hardcopies of the calendars out each month and posts them on the bulletin boards, and sends them home with the kids. The only problem is that iCal and GoogleCalendar both produce pathetic excuses for printed-out calendars -- they only show the first couple of characters of each event, leaving a big empty square underneath.
Someone here pointed me in the direction of 30 Boxes, and it is a fabulous solution. Google calendars and iCal calendars can simply be imported in, and printed with this program. The code fills up each day's boxes in a totally reasonable way for the printed output, giving a nice useful hardcopy tool. The way that you get the 30Boxes calendar to sync with the main at google is that on the page where you link in the google/iCal calendar there is a spot which tells you when it was last updated, and right next to it there is a little link that says "Update Now" and when you click on it then it fetches the latest data.
Until a couple of months ago when we started having this bizarre problem! Periodically we would go in to update the 30Boxes data, and the "Last updated" time has negative time. And the Update Now link is just missing. The time marches up towards zero -- so it says "Updated -4 hrs 28 mins ago" and then 15 minutes later it says "Updated -4 hrs 13 mins ago" After an excruciating wait for the time to go positive, the "Update now" link appears and the calendar can be updated. Unfortunately, the timing is usually such that the kids have gone home without their printed-out calendars by the time it allows an update.
Also, the event times will sometimes show up off by an hour during this "time warp" period.
It seems to be some sort of time zone problem, as when it happens it's usually either -5 or -6 hours at the beginning, and our time zone is 6 hours before GMT during standard time and 5 hours in Daylight Savings Time.
Has anyone figured out how to get themselves out of a 30Boxes time warp without just waiting it out?

With outlook 2010 client, how to make calendar default?

Everytime I open my outlook calendar, it shows me a list view of my appointments, as well as two calendar choices under My Calendar: 1) Calendar 2) Peter Kellner. When I click on "Calendar", it seems to take me to my normal calendar, and I'm
not sure what "Peter Kellner" calendar is. I'm not using sharepoint.
Any thoughts as to what the second calendar could be? Also, I'd like it to come up in monthly view mode just looking at "Calendar".

There you go; somehow you've created 2 Calendar folders.
You can copy over the items from one the one Calendar named after your address to the one called Calendar. Afterwards you can remove the calendar so you'd only have 1.
Copying over the items from the Calendar is done easiest via the List view;
View-> Change View-> List
To come back to an earlier question of yours; when you set your view to the Month view, this should stick when you return to your Calendar folder. If it doesn't reset the view of your Calendar via;
View-> Reset View

Can't make calendar entry on phone

I am having a problem with making a calendar entry on my iphone 3GS. I enter all the details (like I have done forever) and then when I hit "done" it just goes away. It's not in the calendar. This happens more than half the time - and has only started since the ios4 update.

Now you have ME confused. Since I have gotten the very first iphone, I open calendar app on the phone, hit the plus button, and enter data. I can choose the name, the date and time, the calendar for which it pertains etc... Then I hit "done" at the top right, and the entry is immediately shown on the calendar view on the phone.
Now, I do the same thing i have always done - and sometimes it places the entry into the calendar, and many times does not. So I have to enter all the info again, and then after the second or third time, it works - and I can see the entry in the calendar app.

How to make code in dreamweaver flow to the next line?

The line lengths of my code are really really long. How do I make it automatically flow to the next line without causing it to actually be a new line? Just for viewing purposes. I don't like having to scroll all the way to the end of the line of code to add a close tag.
