Make ff remember a secure website password? (I don't want to change security settings, I just want to save a specific site login info)

The site has https address. I don't want ff to remember secure sites logins, but in this case the security is really unnecessary and annoying. I just want to force ff to remember this website login.

hello, sites can define that the browser shouldn't save passwords in their source-code, see [[Usernames and passwords are not saved]].
you could use an addon like the following to circumvent such restrictions: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/remember-passwords

  • How can I make a weekly 'to do' list?  I don't want the list associated with a particular date and time; just a list of things to get done!

    How can I make a weekly 'to do' list? I don't want it associated with a particular day or or time, just the week, preferably with the ability to check off or remove when done.

    Thank you for the excellent reference Peddi. I had played with the OAMessageChoiceBean component yesterday, but I was able to tell from your instructions that "Picklist Display Attribute" and "Picklist Value Attribute" really are not for binding to the database EO. That was the key piece of information that had me confused.
    In addition to adding the messageChoice component to the page, I needed to write some code to synchronize the picklist value with the corresponding code value, which I placed in am OAFormValueBean (hidden form field) which I could then bind to my application's database EO in the controller, running in the processFormRequest procedure:
    /** Synchronize the catalog code with the selected catalog name */
    protected void syncCatalogValues(OAPageContext pageContext,
    OAWebBean webBean, MyApplicationAMImpl am) {
    OAMessageChoiceBean mcb =
    (OAMessageChoiceBean) webBean.findChildRecursive("CatalogName");
    OAFormValueBean cc =
    (OAFormValueBean) webBean.findChildRecursive("CatalogCode");
    String catalogDescription = mcb.getText(pageContext);
    if (catalogDescription != null) {
    String catalogCode = am.getCatalogCode(catalogDescription);
    cc.setValue(pageContext, catalogCode);
    Along with a little code to get the catalogCode value from the LOVVO, that's all it took.
    Thanks again. This was a great help.

    I have an Iphone 3gs and I want to cancel the sound that makes when I send a text! I don't want to put the phone all in silent! just to turn off this awful sound everytime I send a text! pls help!

    Yes, I have the option "NONE" on my phone but what happens is that I have the incoming text without any sound (selected in "none") but when I send a text, still happens! that annoying sound!

  • I'm trying to restore my 3GS but can't remember the password, I don't want to do a complete restore as I'll lose all my data. HELP!!

    I'm trying to restore my 3GS from a previous back-up point on my PC, but I can't remember the password and if I wrote it down I can't find it. I don't want to do a complete factory restore as I'll lose all my data (phone numbers etc) and I still won't be able to access the restore data. Can anyone help?

    If you forgot the passcode for the lock screen, follow this article, connect in recovery mode iOS: Unable to update or restore and restore:  iPhone and iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
    If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
    If you can't remember the password for your encrypted backup, you'll have to start all over again:
    iTunes: About iOS backups
    iTunes and encrypted backups
    In the iTunes Summary screen, select "Encrypt iPhone backup" if you want to encrypt the information stored on your computer when iTunes makes a backup. Encrypted backups are indicated by a padlock icon, and a password is required to restore the information to iPhone. You may want to write down the password for your backup and store it in a safe place. If you use a Mac, when you set a password you can select to store the password in the keychain. With iOS 4 and later, you can transfer the iOS keychain backup to a new device if you encrypt the backup.
    Warning: If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and then forget your password, you will not be able to restore from backup and your data will be unrecoverable. If you forget the password, you can continue to back up and use the device, however you will not be able to restore the encrypted backup to any device without the password. You do not need to enter the password for your backup each time you back up or sync.
    If you cannot remember the password and want to start again, you must perform a full software restore and when iTunes prompts you to select the backup from which to restore, choose set up as a new device.

  • Hello, I used to have an add-on that would make my browser save my online banking login info..which browsers usually don't..so it forced Firefox to do it. I cannot remember the name though, can you help me?

    The banking sites usually prevent log-info from being saved, but there was a way around it..
    i want to save them on my computer just like any other passwords..
    i forgot the name and address of that add-on

  • How can I turn off asking me to save a password when I NEVER want to save a password ever anywhere?

    I am using my work computer to log into gmail, aol, etc. via Firefox. And because of security, I NEVER want Firefox to save a password for any website I log into. Consequently, every time I log into anything via Firefox I get that annoying drop down menu asking if I want to save the password, never save the password or not now. If there a way for me to turn this off completely and stop asking me that and NEVER save a password?

    Check a setting.
    #click either:
    #*Firefox button > Options > Options > Security
    #*Tools > Options > Security (if using the Menu Bar)
    #if "'''''Remember passwords for sites'''''" is checked, un-check it

  • Is there a way to access my ipod if i forgot my password an don't want to wipe the memory

    I lost my ipod and I now found it and cant remeber the password. I don't want to wipe the memory because I have all of my music and photos on there. When I plug it into my computer it says it is password protected and it won't let me sync it.

    You have to restore the iPod. You may be able to make a backup yu can restore from. Otherwise you will have to restore from an earlier backup.

    If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
    You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:

  • Is it possible to archive a website?  I don't want the website to be current/active anymore but I also don't want to erase it.  Is there an archive option?

    I have a website through iweb that I don't want to keep active anymore, but I also don't want to erase it completely.  Is there an "archive" option, or  some way to save it?

    There's no archive but you can just delete the online files from the server and keep the site in iWeb.  When you want to reactivate the site just republish it.

    June 2011:
    iWeb publishing, MobileMe Gallery, and iDisk will all disappear as the company sunsets its current online service in favor of iCloud.
    Other MobileMe services—including syncing of Mac Dashboard widgets, keychains, Dock items, and System Preferences—will not be part of iCloud, Apple says. Those syncing services will stop working as soon you migrate from MobileMe to iCloud. In addition, Apple says that while MobileMe members can no longer upgrade to a Family Pack or buy additional MobileMe storage, Family Pack members will be able to transition their accounts to iCloud individually, as long as it’s done before June 30, 2012.

  • Safari 3.1.2 not remembering specific site login

    I am running Leopard 10.5.5 and Safari 3.1.2. I have one site that is giving me trouble with remembering login info in the cookie. I go to the site and have to login, even though I have it set to remember me. Then, if I change forums or try to post to a forum, it asks me to login again which is not the norm for this site. I have tried this with a new user account and it happens there also. The only factor I can isolate is that I didn't have an issue until I got the update to Safari 3.1. Prior to that, no issues.
    What is driving me crazy is that it is only this one site. Any thoughts, anyone?
    Message was edited by: Wayne_N

    When you say firefox seems fine, do you mean all the time and from the same machine? In that case I wouldn't be concerned with a DNS issue, but other networking issues could be at play. First, clear the cache and remove all cookies from safari and try http://www.cnn.com/ again.

  • Get rid of Password ( i don't want password on login how to remove )

    Hi
    I am getting a Bit annoyed as I do not have a Password set on login or anything but every time i log on or install application,etc it comes up with the Password needed screen ( which i leave blank and push enter )
    I just want to get rid of this Password screen altogether, so when i log on it does not ask me also when installing application,etc
    so if anyone knows how to do this as i have tried all usual things in settings ( accounts and security ) but must be someway of getting rid of this ..
    Thanks Mark

    Go into the System Preferences, and then into the "Accounts" area. At the bottom of the left hand pane is the "Login Options" button. This will open the subpage where you can enable "Automatic login". You will need to select your account from the list. Afterwards, the machine will start up and automatically log in to the account selected.
    Now the warning... I would never do what you are attempting to do- on any machine running any operating system. Running without a password is bad enough. Letting the machine log in by itself is worse.

  • Windows 8 ask for password - I don't want to enter it

    When my laptop starts it shows my email address and asks for my password. I do not want to enter a password . How do I get rid of this because my wife would like to use the computer

    Press *Windows key + R*
    Now RUN dialog would open.
    Here you have to type command: +control userpasswords2+
    When the User Accounts applet opens, select the account you wish to automatically login and uncheck the box: +Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.+
    Then click Apply

  • My Firefox 4.0 Tools/Options/General menu looks nothing like your instructions. How do I tell websites that I don't want them to track me if my menu doesn't look like your instructions?

    My question is self-explanatory.

    I too have this problem. To provide more information on my issue, my file/edit/view... toolbar looks identical to how it did in version 3.6. I tried general update from 3.6x-4, and I tried a clean uninstall and reinstall (fully deleting and not fully deleting profiles; tried both) to 4.0 and my toolbar still looks identical to 3.6. I know it updated because the about says 4.0 and I have the tabs above option and the "awesome bar" toolbar looks new. My awesome bar toolbar is missing the privacy browsing button as well though.

  • Help! Do InDesign PDF security settings work as DRM?

    I'm using InDesign CS5.5 and am about to publish my first ebook. I thought that the security settings available when I export my file as an Interactive PDF worked as DRM/copy protection. But in the InDesign manual, Adobe suggest that setting restrictions for printing and copying the PDF are useless unless you also require a password to open the document. Which of course, I don't want to do: I'm planning to sell the PDF from my website.
    I don't want to put up a file that anyone can freely copy and print: I think most people don't understand the concept of copyright, or that you can't lend an ebook as you can a print one. Does anyone have any advice? I've stumbled upon this problem at the eleventh hour: I want the book on sale on Tuesday, to coincide with an exhibition to publicize it.
    (I've had to stick to the PDF format for this project since it consists of pages laid out to combine colour photographs and text.)

    The security settings would prevent printing, and use of the clipboard to copy pieces of the PDF, but will not stop making a copy of the file in Finder or Explorer.
    I don't know if ID does fixed layout epub, but if you google PDF to epub converter you'll find dozens of possibilities.
