You will not lose the songs, but it will get complicated as far as usting the iCloud or Match. Also, you will not lose the apps, but whenever you want to update them you will have to go back to the ID from which they were originally purchased, which will be a pain.
If it is a family issue, I strongly suggest you start moving toward one ID per person. That will solve the current authorization problem, and will also be the simplest in the long run.

In the U.S., carriers generally heavily subsidize the price of the phone. Unlocked phones as sold by Apple are also contract free. You can only buy an unlocked (never locked to a carrier phone) from Apple.

How can I find all locked layers (visible or not) and then Unlock All at once?

OK, for anyone who cares here's the scenario.
I was on a tight deadline. I got a massively layered, -- nested folders everything -- .psd
I'm using Photoshop CS 5.5
I only needed the visible layers. So, I go to "Delete Hidden Layers" right? Ooops it was grayed out, I could not use it -- Ahhh that was because of the locked layers...
No problem. Ugh wait.
Then I realized -- in the complicated layer structure I had to go through every single folder, open it, look for a locked layer and unlock it (nested folders inside of nested folders etc.). If the layer was not visible and it was locked, I had to first turn it to visible, then unlock it, and then turn it off again.
Aaaarrggghhh I was on a deadline, and I just didn't have time -- but I had to do it anyway.
This was a painful experience... I'm telling designers from now on NEVER SEND ME A PSD WITH LOCKED LAYERS AGAIN
It would have been so much easier if I could just search for "locked layers", and "unlock all."
Does anyone know of a solution? Probably something I should have known years ago, or maybe a feature request?

Ok, so here's the deal. I want to change my iCloud email address. Ultimately I want to keep the same Apple ID and simply edit the part before the '@icloud.com'. If this is not possible, can I make a new Apple ID and transfer all of music, apps, files, and mail to the new Apple ID and all of my other devices?

Creating chapters and play all

hi, i have a concert film. i recorded all the footage in by song, so i have 12 5+ minute files. I want to make a play all function, so the dvd will just play each song right after the ones before it. basically, how do i make each song a chapter and play all capabilities. i already made it so each song is its own film, but once the song ends, it retunrs to the menu....

In iMovie or iDVD, you can edit the songs one after the other in the same timeline to create one movie. Drop that movie into iDVD and you will get a movie that plays the songs in sequence. Also, in iDVD, you can a chapter for each song to give viewers the options of going to each one
With the lengths you are dealing with, you could still put each song as a separate movie into your DVD is you so choose

I understand that I can set up a different Apple ID for the kids devices, or take physical control of the device and make the changes myself. However, my teenage son is technically savvy enough to have a job in Silicon Valley, as are most young people these days. However, in order to access his devices the current way, I first have to bypass the four digit pass code. This starts a fight of why I need in the device and continues to escalate. The argument that I am the parent will gain access but the fight is simply exhausting, and quite frankly shouldn't have to happen at all. He is not yet an adult, he did not pay for his iPad or iPhone and I, as a parent, should have not only have the right to change options at will, and from anywhere, but look at history or current activity when I feel like it.
I currently have the settings where app and in-app purchases require my password to be put in, and he must come to me to type it in, but I need more control and would like, and should be able to access any of our six devices and make individual changes simply by logging in to my account, with my password.
If I can see all my devices on the "Lost My iPhone" app, this technology should be easy to make happen.
C'mon parents! I have a pretty good kid, given all things that they can get into, but I am not stupid. For everything I see has been done, there is much more I haven't seen. I want my children to be kept safe and be able to know what they are looking at or listening to. We parents are the only ones who know our beliefs and what our kids can handle and when.

There are mobile device management solutions that can do this, including in Apple's OS X Server system, but most parents generally find that setting this up is more work than it's worth. I don't think any, however, allow you to see current activity or browser history. iOS doesn't expose those to access from MDM solutions, to the best of my knowledge.

i have a document of few pages but one story. The right column is the main text box and on many places anchored text boxes are placed which appeared on the left column as shown below.
i want text of each anchor-text-box to be cut from its place and paste at its insertion/anchor point and delete all empty anchored boxes.
I am trying since morning but i unable to reach anchor object reference. Any help on how to start with will be helpful.

Ok, let's say you have one main text box (not anchored) and three text boxes that are anchored to text within it. The first one is anchored with text, the second one is unanchored, and the third one is empty (I'm not going to get into inline anchoring vs. custom anchoring since you didn't bring it up in your post).

I guess the takeaway might be that you're not looking at the main text frame and then checking to see if anything is anchored to it. You're looking at each text frame and figuring out if it is anchored. That's my approach, anyway.

Those are all carrier features, so contact your cell phone provider.

Dual layer point break and all this young things in the mood

thanks to all the forum crew, after month of works on several dvd-9 project i can resume for the rest of the world the key success to make a right point break :
first create in automatic , if it's work don't try more , burn it and test it on a set top dvd player. if your happy with it don't try more and keep your time for pleasure.
personnally it doesn't work oftenly and worst a project that was burn 25 times was unburnable 15 days later how does it possible, even in toast and even after create again and again so no choice i had to try put the point break manually
first go in your VIDEO TS folder select all the files watch the properties then now select about the first half of the files and watch on the propertie when you got about 4 gig this will be your layer 0 watch the last selected clip using videolan (vlc) this is the clip where you'll try tu put manually the break point. then the nightmare start : put a breakpoint marker on the timeline create the folder and then try tu burn you can have two kind of error the layer 0 is too big in this case try to put your maker before or the layer 1 can't be bigger than the 0 so put your marker after
about toast , toast save me sometime because it set in auto the marker differently from dsp so its like another try out in the big point break game but in truth each time i used toast the replication factory send me back the dvd even if it was properly working on a set top player it wont fit for replication.
my studio upgrade is waiting this projects are over and replicated because im quiet to scare to upgrade such software in the middle of a projects.
at last as a recomandation for the developers why dsp give us this choice when i put manually my break point i had no choice where to put it i try every way until it works there is no way to choose if you want burn it
last but not least why can't we export the subtitles done on DSP this is a big mess to copy this huge part of the job from a project to another an export option on stl format would be great
and a very important question to finish wich scsi card shall i buy to connect my DLT IV quantum 4000 on my G5 (at a reasonable price) i prefer ask it here as i use this dlt only for dvd mastering and some people tell some scsi chip/card doesnt work with dsp

Silly question but brilliant answer lol that is the case lol the data is coming out at 4.3Gb on one disc and 4.19Gb on another so I can run with single layer discs :-)

Note the time in your Mac's menu bar or some other accurate timepiece. Then, press the button to put the MBA to sleep. Wait until the cursor disappears and for all indications that the Mac appears to be asleep.
Then, wake the Mac the way you normally wake it.
Then, find the Console app - it is in your Utilities folder and looks like this
You can find it by selecting Utilities from the Finder's Go menu.
Open Console.
If the log list column on the left is not already displayed, show the log list by selecting Show Log List from Console's View menu.

How To Make mozilla.cfg, override.ini, all-companyname.js, Files To Work Once And For All For All Users

I'm currently trying to apply a fix to the firefox browser (version 23.0.1) on over 250 computers. Setting default webpages, disabling annoying prompts like the default browser and importing bookmarks, and erasing the history on shutdown, or startup. This is very easily done modifying the pref.js file, but I will not edit that file, it's out of the question. Another FF update will erase or overwrite all of my modifications.
I run a computer lab in the university that is locked down using a Net Support School console. You don't need to look that up. Basically all websites are restricted except the ones the ones I whitelist. The websites we use have extensive API's for JS, CSS, Java, PHP, etc... We utilize technology in order for students to use graphing calculators, video's, and taking module test from these white-listed websites, like Pearson, or Aleks. Now with that said, cookies, and stored profile history become a problem, and on some day's up to 25% of the students using the computers need their entire history deleted in order for a page to load. I think I fixed this problem permanently by whitelisting backend sites importing plugins, and API's etc, that I found from the developers console. Whatever. What I've learned from all of this is that Firefox can be very customizable utilizing the "...\Mozilla Firefox\mozilla.cfg" and the "...\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\prefs\all-companyname.js" (or custom.js) The problem, is no matter what I try I can't get these to work. Why is firefox making harder and harder for us to optimize it for massive deployments across a corporation and a university? I'm not going to do any fancy hacks to avoid the main issue. I've tried using, and not using, the automatic mozilla configurator. I've tried changing lockPref to pref. Nothing works. Not the override.ini, not the all-lmc.js, and not the mozilla.cfg. I've wasted hours reading through blogs of experts telling us to modify files that don't exist, or beating around the bush. I'm done researching. If you have the answer or want to help me figure this out just remember to keep it simple. Please. I ultimately want to package all the config files, with a how to, in a zip folder onto our shared drive. To have FF customized and ready to deploy to different departments across campus.

Thanks very much for your help, but I'm still overlooking something. I double checked to make sure that I did not have a hidden .txt file extention. I then decided to abandon the lock on preferences idea until I get it working. I converted my mozilla.cfg file back to plain text. I made sure I do not have an extra blank line at the end of each file. The syntax looks good, as far as I can tell. I'll copy and paste what I have so far. Did I have the file locations correct posted above? Also, if you feel i can delete some lines of text in my mozilla.cfg file I'll be happy to do so.
