ran for a short time and exited without producing the libgcov.a that was expected. the "ar" in question
seems to be running and accessing input file, but produces no output.

I also wanted to let you know, that I find it incredibly stupid, that cookies are hidden away in a tools menu; when most internet users would obviously prefer to be able to immediately see what cookies are being used, and could then just click and delete them immediately, without having to click 4 different buttons and then delete them. PLEASE MAKE THE COOKIES EASIER TO GET RID OF, BY SHOWING THEM IN THE BROWSER ALL THE TIME. thank you

Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter makes trackpad fail

i noticed this problem in two Macbooks (the new white model running OSX 10.6.4) me and my wife own.
once we connect them to out TV (a philips 32") with a VGA adapter i can't seem to control the pointer with a trackpad.
i tried plugging in a USB mouse and it worked in controlling the pointer, but still the trackpad fails.
by the way, after a fresh restart the trackpad did seem to work for a while, but then it failed again.
i already have this problem on two computers,
has anybody else experienced something like this?

Hm. What an odd problem!
The only really big thing that comes to mind is maybe for some reason the Mac thinks you're connecting a mouse when you plug the DisplayPort adaptor in.
Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Universal Access > Mouse and Trackpad and make sure the option to Ignore trackpad when mouse is present is unchecked.
Other than that, you may try resetting your PRAM and repairing your Disk Permissions. To reset your Mac's PRAM, first shut the Mac down. Once the Mac is completely off, turn the Mac on again, and before the startup chime finishes playing, start holding down the Command, Option, P, and R keys simultaneously. Continue holding these keys until the Mac sounds the startup chime for the third chime. At that point you can release the keys and your Mac will start up into OS X normally.
To repair your disk permissions, first click on the Finder icon in your dock. This will always be the icon on the far left. Next, click the "Go" menu at the top of the screen and then select "Utilities". This will open your Utilities folder.
Now, find the icon for Disk Utility and double click it to launch the program. Select your hard drive from the pane on the left hand side of the window. Your hard drive will usually be the first item listed.
After selecting your hard drive, click the tab labeled "First Aid" and then click the button labeled "Repair Disk Permissions". This process may take a while to complete.
After the permissions repair is complete, close Disk Utility and restart your computer by selecting Restart from the Apple menu.

Here we go again,....iTunes update for Windows 7 fails again same problem as back in Feb update

Why is it that Apple is failing to get it right lately with their updates?
Tried to install latest iTunes for Windows update on my PC Win 7 and it fails again wioth same error messages as with the previous update in Febr.
Sooo very disappointed!!!!!
To go thru all this again is taking me a few hours again to fix this problem assuming it works again this time, maybe I should just give up on iTunes instead.

First off the automatic install fails nothing happens.
Then tried the manual install after download, get the message that Apple mobile service failed to start and make sure i have required privileges to do so(Total BS)
the SetupAdmin.exe file does not provide any action.
Then right clicked the iTunes6464.msi file and installed it. Seems to install the update but when iTunes starts get the: "error 7" msg with iTunes helper was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. then w're in that **** loop......LOL

In Lion, sometimes clicking on close button or tabs doesn't respond as if the buttons aren't there, i have to move the cursor away and move back to make them work again, anyone can help me?

I'm not sure if anyone had run into this issue. Clicking the same place on the display sevral times will cause the click to stop working. For example, if i open safari and click on the Show Reading List button, it will work the first time i click it, but stop responding to my command as i click more, as if the button is not there, i have to move away the cursor and click somewhere else and move back to click the button to make it work again. And it happened everywhere, not just the show reading list button. The scrolling and moving are normal.
In fact, I have my trackpad replaced in an apple store for this issue but it turned out this is not a hardware problem, and it is not only my problem. Ironically, i found the same issue on several of the demo Macs inside the apple store. So anyone can help me here? Thanks.

Firefox 22 has a new way of setting the default zoom level: it is based on your Windows font size setting. So, if you set Windows fonts to 125% (enlarged 25%), your Firefox pages also will be enlarged 25%. On pages that do not adjust their layout, you may get a horizontal scroll bar.
To reduce the zoom on a page, hold Ctrl and tap the - key (the one on the numeric keypad or the one on the number row of the keyboard). The zoom should be reduced for each tap.
If you want to globally adjust your zoom level to be lower, you can use either of these add-ons:

If none of your third-party apps are working, but the Apple built-in ones are ok, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted. How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Sign out of the Appstore and back in and it should resolve the issue.

Java went down on all Apple products last week, but how do I make it work again? I have, let me repeat that, I HAVE to use java for work. I have 2 programs that are essential to my work and they are currently not working causing me to either use a PC or not get work done. The timing was interesting considering I was planing on buying new Macbook Pros and Macs for our office. However, if this is something that can and will happen with no way to fix it I might have to consider PC. Why didn't Apple give us the option to disable and not just disable without even giving us a warning. I didn't get an e-mail or pop up or anything that said "hey Java will not be working due to..." Operations Manager 2012 Reporting Service installation failed again

i'm an administrator in a company. and our company decided to have monitoring tools for our servers located in two sites.
i started installation of SCOM in Two servers: 1- SQL server 2-Management server, Operations Console, Web Console
all MP's that needed has been installed and configuration completed successfully. then i decided to have Reporting Server too.i did proper tasks and started it with coordination of DBA team. but because of miss configuration in SSRS installing failed. after
repairing SSRS by them installation failed again but reporting Icon appeared in Management console
because of too many communication with DBA team, I installed a SQL server on a separate server(Full Featured) and configured SSRS too. and then started installing SCOM reporting on this server. but it again failed.

I wanted to send whole log but 60000 is maximum allowable character. here's some logs with error event:
