    help! placed grayscale TIFF won't let me change its color swatch...
    Tried re-launching application, re-booting PC in case of a technical glitch. Something with graphics frames that needs to be re-stored that I am unaware of?
    I also tried creating a new page, importing another image and still experiencing the issue.
    How do I "re-set" my settings so it will work once again?
    Thank you!

    Here's the info on resetting your prefs: Replace Your Preferences
    But that's not likely the problem. Are you sure the images are really grayscale mode? What format are they saved in? They cannot be colorized in ID if they are transarent or lack a Background layer.

  • Mic Mute Hotkey doesn't work, Sound Mute Button won't change its color [Windows 10]

    Hello everyone,
    I recently did a clean install of Windows 10 x64 on my HP Probook 450 G1 (E9Y30EA), and after installing drivers I noticed when I turn off the sound, my Mute Button won't change its color to amber (or orange, yellow, whatever), as it did in Windows 8.1 and 7.Also, another thing that's not working at all is Microphone Mute Hotkey (fn + F8). It neither turns off the microphone, nor lights up its LED. I have the latest version of HP Hotkey Support driver installed (7.0.13.1), HP Quick Launch Buttons, HP Wireless Button, installed, .NET Frameworks 2.0 and 3.0 etc.. everything is up-to-date, but it's still not working as it should. Microphone muting just doesn't work at all, and pressing (sound) Mute Button does mute sound, but its light stays white, so I often don't know whether I had the sound on or off with the glance of an eye as I used to. On the other hand, HP Wireless Button works normally, and it changes its color to amber when I press it to turn on Airplane Mode. TL;DR: Microphone Mute Hotkey doesn't work; Sound Mute Button does work, but its LED doesn't work. Is there anything I can do to fix that, or is it just a problem with driver incompatibility that would be fixed in some of the next updates? Or is it something else, like Windows 10 issue or audio driver maybe?
    Thanks in advance, pajser92

    Hi,
    First download the sound driver using the links below and save the installer to your Desktop.
    Audio Driver - Windows 7
    Audio Driver - Windows Vista
    When the download has completed, right click the installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation - ignore any warnings you may see about this being an earlier version.  When the installation has completed, restart the notebook.

  • Get the active cell in a table on a mouse click, so I can change its color

    Hi guys,
    I am looking at a small application.
    I  have a table. When a user clicks on a particular cell, I need the cell coordinates so that I can change its attributes (e.g. color change) by clicking a button.
    Edit position property of the table gives me the current cell coordinates, but when I click on a button, the previously clicked cell position is lost. How can I fix this problem?
    Is there a way to solve this problem?
    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply. But, Iam trying to avoid using event structures for someother reason in my code. Is there a way, this could be done without event structures.
    Please look at the code attached. Whenever the value in the table goes beyond 100, i want to click on the corresponding cell and then suspend it by using the suspend button, in which case the backgroud color should change to red.
    Thanks
    Saverio's suggestion to use an event structure is a good one so rather than exploring less efficient methods, could you please explain why you are avoiding teh use of an event structure? This will help us help you.

  • Changing the color of a registered trademark symbol in a logo and what is the the symbol's size?

    I have a logo with the registered trademark symbol.  I tried to change the color of the registered trademark symbol to the same color as the logo, using the color replacement tool but it did not work.  Is there another way to change its color?
    Also, I need to find out how big the registered trademark symbol is in comparison to the logo.  (height, width, how far away from the logo the symbol is).  How do I do this?  Trying to use the Ruler tool was a disaster.  As you've probably noticed, I'm very new to Photoshop.
    thanks,

    Depending on what colors you are working with adding a layer above the logo with the "color" layer style may work for you. This really only works if the logo is on white and the TM isn't black or white.
    For Example:
    Before
    Paint (on a new layer) the new color
    Change the layer style of that new green layer to "color"
    And voila!
    If you're working with a black or white TM you may just have to mask it out and make a new one with the text tool, I'm not aware of another way to change it (though I'm not the photoshop guru some of these people are =D)

  • Can you change the color of a raised triangle decoration programmatically?

    Placed a raised triangle decoration on the Front Panel.
    I want it to change color based on certain conditions (value ranges).
    I cannot create a Property Node or anything else on this object.
    I wanted to change its color based on the value of an event.

    On the diagram page of the example, click on the "Help" selection on the tool bar and make sure that "Show Context Help" is enabled. Now hovering your mouse over the components will show help for them. If you click on the help window's "Detailed Help" it will provide more information on these functions. They are located on the "Application Control" tool panel. You can copy, or drag and drop them from the example to where you want to use them as well. The first one, "VI" provides a "reference" the green wire, for the vi's panel, the second one "Pnl", provides an array of references to all the "decorations" on the front panel, which in this case is only the triangle. It gets more interesting if there are other decorations.

  • How can I change the color of plot in a waveform chart and graph?

    There are 4 plots in a waveform chart, from plot0 to plot3, and I want to chang the color of plots dynamicly up to my needs when the VI is running.
    For example, as show in the picture, i want to set the plot0 as RED, and plot1 is BLUE, plot2 is YELLOW, plot3 is GRAY.
    If there is only one plot, i can change it's color, however when there are more than one plot, it fail.
    How can I do it?
    Thanks

    Hello MilkyStone,
    first you have to set the active plot, then change its color (or other properties). All that is done using property nodes.

  • How do I change the color of a circle in PSCS3

    I have this circle that has what I can only describe as a gradient fill to it, and I want to change its color.
    The task seems simple enough however for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it. In Fireworks it would be as simple as changing the color property. I have to imagine Photoshop CS3 has some sort of equivalent command but I just can't find it.
    I have tried applying a cover overlay effect but that is more of a work-around than a proper solution. If one of you guru's could tell me the correct way to do this I would really appreciate it.
    The .psd file is attached.
    Thanks in advance.
    Here is a capture of the circle I am talking about.

    Zeno,
    I appreciate your response but that doesn't seem to get the job done for me for two reasons.
    1) I can't seem to specify an exact color (say Pantone: 394C). All I have are sliders to adjust and I need to choose a specific color for printing.
    2) Changing the Hue/Saturation still reveals the underlying color creating a halo effect.
    Here is an example of that halo effect.
    Any other ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Newbie - how to change the color of a line using ActionScript?

    This must be the most basic question in the world, but I've
    been searching the documentation for an hour.
    All I want to do is to draw a line on the stage, and then
    change its color (or endpoint positions) dynamically using
    ActionScript.
    This is the 1st step to creating complicated dynamic
    animations... (No, I do not want to use the timeline, I want to do
    it dynamically.)
    Yet a line can't be an instance, so I'm confused -- how can I
    possibly do this? Is there some key concept I'm missing here?
    Thanks
    Michael

    AS2 required you to create your own function for doing
    primitive shapes. In AS3 that has changed and the graphics package
    includes not only the old AS2 drawing API but also has methods for
    doing squares, circles etc.
    If you are a VB programmer, my honest opinion is to leave
    your traditional OOP mindset at the door when using Flash.
    Actionscript is still in its infancy and although AS3 does really
    strive for OOP oneness, it isn't there 100% like VB is which has
    been around 20 years longer and gone through numerous additions
    etc. Whenever I learn a new language VB, PHP, C, AS, Java....I try
    my best to look at the language as its own identity. All language
    share similarities but they all have their own idiosyncrisies. Keep
    an open mind and you'll find what you need.
    Most of the seasoned guys here will also tell you that
    although the documentation is decent, you are better off going out
    and picking up a book on Flash 8/CS3 and another one on
    Actionscript. Familiarize yourself with the program that way.
    With your programming background, I'd recommend picking up
    Essential AS2 (or AS3) by Moock depending on your version of Flash.
    Also, if you are more interested in the programmatic side of Flash,
    why not look into Flex Builder and AIR. Since it is purely a
    programming environment (no Flash IDE), you'd be more
    comfortable.

  • Cannot change multiple colors for the life of me

    Hi there-
    I am VERY new to photoshop and have been trying to change just two colors in this stupid picture now for about five days. I realize this is rudimentary probably for most users.
    I have searched extensively online and experimented using the color replacement tool and the "replace color" adjustment under image.  I will attempt to attach the before image and the after image I have been able to come up with.
    Essentially, I just want to replace the red and green with orange and black.  The orange I have is a very specific pantone (I have both RGB and CMYK numbers that I'd like to use).  If possible, I'd like to keep the shading....I think this is the biggest problem.  Colors are not uniform.
    Anyways, if this is going to take me a long time that is fine, I just don't know how to do it and have all the edges and shading look correct.  I cannot find a tutorial anywhere online that even shows how to clean up an image after you have changed its color so it looks professional.  I am going nuts.  This is for a job application and if you know how to do this and can help me - please!  Help!

    The orange I have is a very specific pantone (I have both RGB and CMYK numbers that I'd like to use).
    Doesn't mean anything in relation to spot colors. That's the part you  seriously must understand - either you  want to print it prodfessionally and a spot color is mandatory or it isn't. Process color CMYK is also used in professional print, but requires to work with color management. RGB is just for on-screen, web or printing on your home printer. Each of the methods will require a different way of shifting/ remapping the colors. For RGB and process CMYK, a gradient map adjustment layer might work, including of course converting to CMYK for the latter and dealing with color management. If it's just for home printing on unmanged printers like your personal inkjet, anything from hue shifting to selectiove color corrections will do. For spot colors you can forget these "dumb" methods and will have to learn how to create selections, manage channels and work with Dutone/ tritone/ multichannel modes.

  • Change UIbutton color inside UITableViewCell

    I have a simple problem ... but its turning into a very difficult problem .. i have a button inside uitableviewcell and want to change its color through code .... i could aceive it by changing its background image. But its kinna hazy ... its not the solid color ... and when i use [cell.button setBackgroundColor:[UIcolor redColor]] ... the button color does not change ...
    any help appreciated
    thanks

    Thanks for the fast answere.
    Unfortunately there is no effect when I include
    buttonName.backgroundColor = UIColor redColor;
    In my application I have a NSTimer which calls every 2 sec. a method which should change the color of the button. I would be also happy if the display blinks red and normal...

  • Is it possible to change the color of imported art in pages, say from B&W to a color?  ... or even to make it a gradation of color?

    Is it possible to change the color of imported art in pages, say from B&W to a color?  ... or even to make it a gradation of color?

    Make a Shape > Inspector > Graphic > Tinted Image Fill > Scale to fit > browse to image > click on the color patch to change the color to what you want
    or
    Drag in an image > overlay it with a Shape > select the color for the shape and change its Opacity
    Shapes may have Gradient and Advanced Gradient (multiple colors) fills both linear and radial. Both are in the Graphic Inspector as is Opacity.

  • Problem accessing child object and changing its appearance (color)

    For a program, I need to be able to access a child object (in this case a box) after adding it to a transform group and change its appearance, for example the color of its top face. I have included a small code example to show my problem. The box is the only child I have added to the TransformGroup, but when I call getChild(), it returns a node, and thus I can't then call getShape() to get the top face and change its appearance. What am I doing wrong?
    public BranchGroup createSceneGraph() {
         BranchGroup objRoot = new BranchGroup();
         Transform3D rotate = new Transform3D();
         Transform3D tempRotate = new Transform3D();
    rotate.rotX(Math.PI/4.0d);
         tempRotate.rotY(Math.PI/4.0d);
    rotate.mul(tempRotate);
         TransformGroup objRotate = new TransformGroup(rotate);
         objRoot.addChild(objRotate);
         Appearance ap = new Appearance();
         Appearance app = new Appearance();
         Appearance apr = new Appearance();
         ColoringAttributes colr = new ColoringAttributes();
         ColoringAttributes colg = new ColoringAttributes();
         colr.setColor((float)1, (float)0, (float)0);
         ap.setColoringAttributes(colr);
    colg.setColor((float)0,(float)1, 0);
         apr.setColoringAttributes(colg);
         Box box = new Box((float)0.4, (float)0.4, (float)0.4, app);
         box.getShape(4).setAppearance(ap);
         objRotate.addChild(box);
         objRotate.getChild(0).getShape(4).setAppearance(ap);
    objRoot.compile();
         return objRoot;
    }

    It would help if you gave us the following System information:
    Operating System/version
    Photoshop version number
    Amount of RAM installed
    Hard drive(s) capacity
    Make and model number of video card
    Also try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/375776?tstart=0
    You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.
    This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.
    A complete uninstall/re-install will not affect the preferences and a corrupt file there may be causing the problem.

  • How do you change the color of the path the pen tool makes?

    There must be some way to change the color of the path the pen tool makes from that grey color to something that will contrast with the image underneath. I found one thread about this from 2010 or so and the answer led to a dead link. This seems like it would be a very helpful feature that would be easy to implement. Someone please tell me in 2014, after a zillion version of photoshop have come out in the past 30 or so years, how do we do this? Thank in advance.

    Why? When you zoom in too close sometimes it become too pixelated to see what's going on and the point on the pen become to close to each other. Why can't you change the path to a color so that it doesn't blend into the image you're trying to trace? Why is the unchangeable color one of the most likely colors to become invisible on most images? So frustrating!
