Make image link to another site. Seems simple, yeah?

I have an image that I want make link (hyperlink) to another website. How do I do it? I tried using the anchor tag, but it still doesn't work. Please help me. /http://empirestuntcom01.businesscatalyst.com/

Very simple .... select the image and type in the Address or paste into the hyperlink tool.

You would need to create a Manual menu in order to be able to link the menu items to external links.
Alternatively, if you'd like to keep the Horizontal/Vertical menu because of their ability to populate page names and links based on site structure, you can try overlapping one of the menu items with an empty text frame and link the overlapped text frame to an external URL. You might consider grouping the text frame with the menu as well in order to be able to easily move it around.

Image Links To Other Sites

I have designed a website in DW CS3 and i wanted to make some
of my images link to other external sites......however when write
the link address in and upload the info then try the link it always
comes back with a blank web page with - cannot find URL - on
it...... any ideas, its really annoying me now. i'm not writing in
css. cheers

As tweaked suggests, the links to external sites should look
like this -

PHP: image link- rel or site?

When it comes to php, I'm a newb. I don't know much about writing the code. Here's my issue: I'm having problems with displaying an image in my right column (rightcol.php).
The image is viewable when you go to

But not when you are on the main page:

I've tried to link the image via REL and SITE, and I've linked the rightcol.php REL and SITE.
Can someone point me in the right direction? Any help is greatly appreciated!

How do i remove image links to adobe site with my dreamweaver built flash gallery ?

This is probably a very simple solution, but i can't figure out how to remove the link to the adobe site when you click on the images in my gallery--I built a site in dreamweaver used the insert media option and added my photos---when uploaded, my images in the gallery are clickable and take you to the adobe site...how do i make the images have no link??

Which version of DW are you running?
There are plenty of jQuery solutions and commercial plugins to create photo galeries.
Some require hand coding,

Firefox does not link to another site

I have an image in my web page that when clicked on is supposed to take the viewer to another extrernal web site.
I have set it up with Dreamweaver CS4, and it works OK with IE6, Google Chrome, but not Firefox.
Can anyone please advise how I should change my code so that Firefox will open this external page?

First of all, you may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
If that's not the case, can you provide a link to the page or upload the page (if it's still offline) so we can see what's actually happening?

How do I make a link to another webpage open in a new window?

Hello Everyone, I am at a loss as to how to do this. I'm not a developer, just someone who updates simple things on my website. I thought I took care of this a couple of weeks ago, but whatever I did it does open the link in a new window while opening it in the window my site is in too, which defeats the purpose. Hello, how can I make a link to another portlet? Both portlets resides in the same project. We run 9iAS 9.0.2.3.

All help appreciated on this one. There are 3 pics of dogs, "about us", "services", and "pricing" - I have attempted to make them links but they only seem to work one time and the rollovers stop working. What am I doing wrong???

first: in the related files "services.html" and so on there are missing (look source code) the references to other directories. For example in "services.html" you should add:

What if I want to link to an image on an external site, such as Pixentral or Flickr, instead of uploading the image to the Forum server?

Flickr's Terms of Service state that if you post an image hosted on Flickr on another site you have to link back to the image page on Flickr. To do that you need to go to your image on Flickr, click on the All Sizes link above the image, select the size image you want, then Copy the HTML code from the first box of code underneath the image. Then, in the Forum's Rich Text Editor, click on the >> button/icon and select Insert Raw HTML. This will open a frame within your message where you paste the HTML code you copied from the Flickr site. Then continue on with composing your forum message and click “Post Message” to post the message to the forum system.
For Pixentral images, you will need to go to http://www.pixentral.com and upload your image following the instructions there. You do NOT have to check the box to make images public. Once your image is uploaded there copy the HTML code from the box below your image. Then, in the Forum's Rich Text Editor, click on the >> button/icon and select Insert Raw HTML. This wil open a frame within your message where you paste the HTML code you copied from the Pixentral site. Please note that there is an extra "/" character in the Pixentral URL that will prevent the image from showing up, so you need to make one change to the HTML that you copied from the Pixentral site. The beginning of the HTML code will look something like this:

Please remove the slash that appears between the quotes and the greater than symbol so that this part of the HTML code looks like this:

Thanks for fixing the "backslash" error. Accuracy is important, and doubly so when presented as an F.A.Q.
The sad thing is how prevalent the usage of "backslash" is when a plain old slash is meant (generally, the "forward" attribute is assumed and unneeded), and by people who should know better. It's a direct result of people knowing just barely enough about the Windows file path naming protocols, and then applying the only terminology they're familiar with incorrectly to URLs.
I went about 10 rounds—TWICE!—with a labyrinthian succession of people at the Discovery & History cable TV networks because they were saying "backslash" in voice overs whenever their commercials promoted their websites. It took some doing, but I finally got in touch with somebody who was savvy enough to recognize that it was a rookie mistake made by a clueless marketing copywriter. The voice over person just read the copy they were given, oblivious to the difference. It amazes me that it wasn't caught by somebody early in the recording/production process and rectified.
They then had it correct for about a year, until new commercials started popping up with the same error. Unfortunately, the person I had talked to previously no longer worked for the History channel and I had to go through the process of finding someone who understood all over again.
Yeah, you can call me a nitpicker with nothing better to do.
But I've earned that dang badge, and I wear it proudly!

If I try and follow a link from another website to open another I get awclick.php (GIF Image 1x1) pixels in a new tab instead of the web page I want.

I was trying to open a website as a link from another website and I get a new tab that says

I can open the website without clicking on a link to it by just typing in the address but as this is a cash back site I am linking from it doesn't help!

A simple Paste does not work for you?
It should place the clipboard content as a new Layer which you can then move around.
If there is any chance that the elements need to be scaled, rotated etc. I would prefer to place them as Smart Objects (File > Place …) and do the masking that is specific to the images themselves in those.

Link to an external URL image? In AS 2 the code is
'getURL("putaddresshere")' and in AS 3 it's 'navigateToURL("")' ...
If it's a simple image, it's easier just to import it to the
stage, save it as a symbol, put it in a timeline frame and then
code your link so on click or rollover it goes
'gotoAndPlay(framenumber)'.
