Make Inspector show original colour in css

I appreciate that inspector now has options other than rgb and rgba to display colours but..
Default colour unit should have an 'original' option, to display the colour the way it was actually written.
Why firefox does has to modify the css, and not show the actual, original css.
Sometimes you have to use extra rules, like prefixes, and inspector won't show those. I know, it's only showing the rule that firefox uses, meaning it ignores -webkit and -ms, but if it showed those prefixes, then I'd know places where they're missing.

It sounds like this could be a useful enhancement. Please update to the latest version of Firefox to test if it has not already been added.

Cannot recall the full line-up of Effects in Pr 6.5, but you should have the fixed Effect>Motion>Scale, which will allow you to resize the Clip. You might need to use Motion>Position in addition. Basically, you will doing a PiP (Picture in Picture), with no Clip below, just the black showing.

My problem is that after printing the first photo or picture, when I come to print a second, both the Colour Management and Epson Colour Controls are greyed out and showing No Colour Management

I have recently purchased a Mac computer (updated to Maverick) to go with my Epson Stylus Photo RX500 printer which has given excellent service with my old Windows computer. However, when trying to print pictures or photos via Photoshop Elements 11, the best results I can get are using the Colour Management and Epson Colour controls in the printing options box.
My problem is that after printing the first photo or picture, when I come to print a second, both the Colour Management and Epson Colour Controls are greyed out and showing No Colour Management, The only way I can reset the controls is to shut down the printer and computer and restart.
Could there may be a setting somewhere that I need to adjust please? I have been in touch with Epson and they say that the Epson Colour controls are part of the Photoshop Elements software but a post on the Adobe forum brought no results and I am unable to contact Adobe.

Hello Garry. Thanks for the reply. I guess I should have used a different title from "How do I post a question?" That should come after trying to resolved the colour settings first. However, to answer your question, after experimenting with all the different settings in Photoshop Elements and Epson software, I now start with PSE11 Colour settings then click "no colour management" then after clicking Print, I choose "More Options/Colour Management/Colour Handling/Printer Manages Colour" then I choose "Page Setup/Layout/Colour Matching" which then shows Epson Colour Controls but I also choose "Layout/Colour Management" which then shows "Colour Controls/Mode" I then of course choose an Epson printer profile depending on the paper I am using. I get good results but as I said, the Colour Matching and Colour Controls are then greyed out. Hope that makes sense.

Make Copy from Original After Editing?

I frequently make many adjustments to a photo, maybe even edit further in Photoshop, and then at a later date I want to make another copy of the original image in LR. If I know ahead of time that I'm going to want several versions of an image I can make Virtual Copies before I make any changes, but sometimes I decide I want a copy of the original image after I've already made many adjustments. How do I make a copy of the original after I've made many changes?
I vaguely remember a pulldown menu command in LR1 or so that said "Make copy from original" but I don't see it in LR3.

Well, you can worry about that if you prefer. But the way I look at it, it's always possible to display a before/after. So if Lightroom is capable of always showing the before view of the image it seems to me that it should always be able to restore the image to that point. Remember, none of the changes made in Lightroom are permanent. All editing is nondestructive. In other words, the original image data is always intact. It's good enough for me. If you want more reassurance then maybe someone else has a better idea.

I have an alias of one of my external hard drives in my trash. When I click on "show original" all my external H D 's and my Mac hard drive show up. How do I delete this icon from the trash without loosing all my files?

I stopped the delete process and when I clicked on "show original" all my external H.D.'s and my Mac hard drive show up. How do I delete this alias from the trash without loosing all my files? When I tried to drag it back to the desk top, it just made a duplicate and remained in the trash. When I turned off the external H.D., the trash was then empty. Tried rebooting the computer and then turning the external hard drive back on and the alias shows up in the trash again. Much help appreciated.

In Finder's Menu, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes". (no quotes)
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if there are no real files in them, and reboot.

How to make hyperlinks the same colour

I'm pretty new to indesign and i'm slowly picking it up. In my excitement of getting my work done I started hyperlinking some links in my content. Only problem is that the colour is not consistent for the hyperlinks as I had to do them one by one and thus the colours are slighty off. Is there a way I can select all hyperlinks and make them the same colour?

Go to the Swatches panel and in the menu click on "Add Unnamed Colours" (unless you already have them in your swatches menu). Then rationalise those swatches by deleting them and replacing them with the one you want. From now on use that swatch to make your hyperlink. Better yet use a style for it.

It seems that the issue is caused by a corrupt folder called en_US or similar (depending on language) within the Adobe Illustrator 18 Settings folder, see post #7 by Jules in this thread,

so the solution should be to move or rename that folder (or the whole Adobe Illustrator 18 Settings folder).
You can find the folder in Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed.
As a temporary roundabout way, you can select the lower rectangle to the right of the rainbow and DoubleClick to apply that to change the top rectangle and the values: the lower colour is the right one.

Get Info for alias does not show "Original" location

When I Get Info for an alias, no "Original" location shows. What must I do to see the original file location?

In addition to finding the location listed under the "General" pane of the info window (you might have to click the disclosure arrow), you can also go right to the original—meaning show it in its Finder window at the original location—by right clicking the alias and selecting "Show Original."

Full original colour cartridge to be replaced

Hello everybody,
my HP ENVY 4500 keeps now asking me to replace what I know for sure it's a good full and original colour cartridge (301 - CH562E - exp. date 2015/09/29 - sn 217924 1066006264).
I removed it and cleaned contacts on both cartridge and printer.
I also executed printer cleaning procedure after removing colour cartridge (i.e. with only black cartridge installed) all to no avail.
I know the colour cartridge is good because it printed two pages before I made the only intervention on my part, that I'm now led to suspect may be behind the current problem (even if I don't know why it could affect only one cartridge).
Since printer control panel in Vista 32 bit was continuously crashing when accessing properties I decided to reinstall printer program suite (all of it, driver and applications).
The result is that the control panel has now become accessible once again but the printer no longer prints in colour due to the reported error that I can't clear.
This is in my opinion the worst inconvenience that can happen in a printer (I'm by the way really sensible to toner waste), even worse than ore serious hardware problem (that may happen in products from time time, everything sooner or later breaks up) because it's no doubt all and only logic-related.
I feel cheated once again from a silly machine which decides on her own when a cartridge is good or has supposedly gone stale.
This is something I cannot accept, so if someone is able to help me I'll greatly appreciate it.
I'm otherwise tempted and ready to entirely scrap the printer and once for all also HP (also Epson, given some past experiences, for what is worth...) and buy one of supposedly poorer quality products in the market but at least definitely free of hassles with cartridges.
To think I'm not even refilling cartridges or using refurbished or non original products...
Sorry for the tirade but this really gets me angry.

this is the switch fabric module that connects the other modules.
This is an internal module and it can't be removed/replaced.
Use the show chassis command to display a chassis configuration for the CSS. The syntax and options for this command are as follows:
•show chassis - Displays a summary of the chassis configuration.
•show chassis slot number - Displays the operational parameters for a slot in a CSS 11503 or CSS 11506 chassis. Enter an integer value for the chassis slot number.
•show chassis verbose - Displays detailed information about the chassis configuration.
•show chassis flash - Displays the operational and locked Flash software code on the CSS 11501, and the CSS 11503 or CSS 11506 SCM and I/O modules. An asterisk (*) character before a Flash version of code and build number indicates that it is active.
•show chassis inventory - Displays the physical configuration of the CSS including part and serial numbers.
•show chassis session-processors - Displays the weight and power summary of the session processors in the CSS chassis.

Even a "show chassis verbose" command does not indicate the presence of a GBIC. It shows the Operational Status of a port as "online" whether there is a GBIC installed or not. For example, in the output below Slot 4 has a GBIC installed in port 4/1, but 4/2 is empty:

Bridge CS3 shows different colour on previews when they are selected

Problem, all of a sudden: Bridge CS3 shows different colours on previews when they are clicked and selected. At first, they are ok, they look the same as they are on camera. When I click an image and select it, it looks like there's a colour profile being applied to it, making the colours dull, its also pulls back the contrast of the image. Can this be corrected in prefences or something? So that the previews are the same as non corrected raw processed files?

Oh, good grief… Sorry. I forgot you haven't updated yet. My bad.
In CS3 you'll find the Auto Tone adjustments in the Camera Raw preferences, and the use of high quality in Bridge preferences. You won't have all the options available in CS4.
If you are shooting raw, the upgrade to CS4 just to be able to use ACR 5.3 (and now 5.4) is a no-brainer. Well worth the money.
If you don't upgrade, you'll be leaving a lot of raw image quality on the table, as Jeff Schewe says. ACR 4.6 is light years behind 5.3 and 5.4.
In addition, Bridge 2.x (CS3) is easily the worst piece of software ever released by Adobe or any other major software developer. It should have been fixed for free by Adobe, but shamefully, it wasn't. I would not hesitate to call it an unusable, worthless piece of cr@p. Fortunately Bridge 3.x (CS4) is much better.
However, I repeat: What you are seeing is perfectly normal, expected behavior.

Edited photos in iOS show original photo after import or in iPhoto for MAC

If I edit a photo using the Photos app (or one the filter integrated now with Photos app) and then import that photo to my Mac (both using iphoto or import) or PC (both using import or with cloud photo integration), and sometimes if i try to view the photo using another iOS app, the photo display the original, unedited version.
the only way seems to duplicate the picture or to send it by mail.
but when you have hundreds of pics, that is not a solution any more..
and most of all i don't even want to import both the original and the edited version.
i found this issue in an apple support page: below the link..
but that page doesn't offer a solution one most of all it says that iphoto shouldn't have the issue...
can you help me?

well, unfortunately these solutions are both not optimal..
Shared Album:
- you lose all the other informations (like location, date, etc..)
- you lose quality
- but at least is fast
Sent by mail:
- it keep full resolution
- you still lose all other informations..
- it is ok for a picture but not good for several..

How can I make Spotlight show the file path in the Spotlight menu for selected file?

Via Finder certainly, but not in the menu. You can view the file path in the Spotlight search results display by pressing the ⌘ key (while hovering over a file in the results), though. The path will display at the bottom of the Quick Look output, or cycle through that location.
