Make java run without printing the stack trace
I have a GUI program which appears to work for all test cases. Basically what it does is prints out data from a linked list allowing the user to traverse the list with Next and Previous buttons which call a list iterator next/previous method call, and then display the current item in the list. The original problem arose when dealing with alternating calls to next and previous, which since list iterator does not have a current pointer, returned the same element ad infinitum. I modified the method to check for alternating button presses, and it seems to work, except for cases where there are two elements in the list. In this case it still works, printing the correct element, but it also prints to the command line an Exception in Thread AWT...NoSuchElementException. My question is, is there any way to tell the program to not print out this stack trace and just keep running quietly through the Exception?
I'm not an expert at error handling, but wouldn't it work to put the code that throws the exception in a try/catch block?
like
try {
//code that causes exception
} catch (NoSuchElementException e) {
//do nothing
}Might not work, but it's worth a try...

Want to print the stack trace from the code
looking for a way to print the stack trace from the CVI code.
Thanks!First I would share the movie. If I was making a DVD, I would use SHARE/To Media Browser in LARGE size.
Then I would use a free application called MPEG Streamclip,
Get MPEG Streamclip, which is free. (google MPEG Streamclip from Squared 5)
Open MPEG Streamclip.
In the Finder, go to Movies/iMovie Projects, and right click on your project. Then, right-click/Show Package Contents. Navigate to the Movies folder in the package and find the LARGE movie. (Note: you are in the bowels of the Media Browser)
Drag this movie into MPEG Streamclip. (It will not actually move anywhere. This tells MPEG Streamclip how to find it.)
In MPEG Streamclip, move the playhead to the frame you want.
In MPEG Streamclip, click FILE/EXPORT FRAME.
Choose JPEG, TIFF, or PNG and give it a name.
You can then drag this photo into iPhoto, iDVD, or wherever you need it.
(Assuming you already know this) In iDVD, you can find the Media Browser at the lower right of the Window. Navigate to your project and drag it into iDVD. -
some one can help me please
i have no idea what i must to do.
an unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.The Exception Handler gave all the info that you need. No need to print the whole stack trace.
The exception handler says
Exception Details: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException
TABLE1.NAME
Look in the session bean (assuming that is where your underlying rowset is). Look in the _init() method for statements similar to the following:
personRowSet.setCommand("SELECT * FROM TRAVEL.PERSON");
personRowSet.setTableName("PERSON");
What do you have? -
Can java.util.logging.SimpleFormatter log stack trace?
can java.util.logging.SimpleFormatter log stack trace? I hope I don't have to write a custom formatter.
-ycright, it does, the code I am modifying prints regular log msg at LEVEL.SEVERE, that's why it doesn't have any stack trace.
By the way, I am using file name pattern, aName.log%g, why it the most current log is aName.log.0, rather than just aName.log. In the conf file, I have,
mypackage.myclass.logfile.name=/.../aName.log.%g
java.util.logging.FileHandler.limit=60000
java.util.logging.FileHandler.count=3
java.util.logging.FileHandler.formatter=java.util.logging.SimpleFormatter
Thanks.

Is it possible to get the stack trace of procedure invocations in pld file?
For example, if I have a package AAA in a pld file which has three procedure proc1, proc2, and proc3 defined. proc 3 will be invoked somewhere in proc2. proc2 will be invoked somewhere in proc1.
Is it possible to print such stack trace in proc1? It will be very helpful if it is possible.See this post if you can figure out something out of it ....

How can i print just one page of photo book without printing the entire book
how can i print just one page of photo book without printing the entire book
Jim,
Take heart. We can help.
First turn on page view so you can see how the content of your sheet fits on the page(s). A Numbers document contains sheets (listed on the left) which in turn contain tables, charts, text, and graphics. Select the sheet you want to print on the left, then enable page view by selecting the menu item:
"View > Show Print View":
Now you should see your content and how it fits on one, or more, pages. If thie content is too big for one page use the controls and the bottom left of the window to expose the sheet controls:
Here a table is too big to fit on one page:
slide the "Content Scale" slider so the content fits: -
How can i print an email without printing the attachment?
I just got my new macbook pro retina display. I am using Mac mail and want to know how I can print an email without printing the attachement. Any suggestions and solutions would be appreciated.
Thank you for your suggestion. But when I receive an email that has an attachment (shown by paperclip symbol) The email opens and shows the attachment(jpg picture) at the end of the email so when I go to print - the email pops up with the picture already opened inside the body of the email. Can not figure out why this happens in mac mail. when i used outlook in windows only email would show. in order to see attachment you had to click on paperclip and only then would the attachment (picture apprear).
Any other suggestions that I may could try would be appreciated. Thank you! Gabriela -
Everything on all the webpages are so small, and only take up half the screen. How can I make it bigger, without changing the settings on my computer and by that change the size of everything on my computer.
The Firefox [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Page+Zoom Page Zoom] feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox, as with some other browsers.
Try the Default FullZoom Level extension: <br />
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6965
Or the NoSquint extension: <br />

Dunning Level needs to update without printing the Form
HI,
we have 4 level dunning, we have a requirement that when the customer reaches Level 4 dunning, The process is off the system - Meaning no Correspondance from SAP to be issued.
Is it possible for standard SAP dunning to update the Customer Master to Level 4 without printing the form?
We remvoved the Dunning form associated to level 4 but when the dunning program reaches level 4, its not updating the Customer master data with Dunning Level4. The last update on the customer master is level 3.
Is printing dunning letter is a mandatory for the Dunning program to update the customer master data with the Dunning level?
Has anyone got a workaround or solution for this situation.
Thanks
KemaHi Kema,
How you doing? Hope all good.
Well the Customer Master update is done by the form printing program so printing form will be needed to update the customer master. The work around would be to have dummy blank form. If you are doing a fax or email then you can control the sending from user exit.
Hope this helps.

Can I update Java patches without uploading the SCAs
There is no FTP service on the HP-UX. User root is not available for me.
With user <sid>adm, can I apply Java patches without uploading the SCAs?Why can't you use third party tools to copy the files to your *nix server?
You can use WinSCP software to copy the files from your desktop to your *nix server (Even FTP not avilable, it use SFTP).

Is it possible to run a java program without using the command prompt?
Hi,
I was wondering whether it is possible to run a Java program (not an applet) without using a command line in the command prompt?
Basically I want to run a program that will be continually running in the background and hence I don't want to have a command prompt screen loaded up as well - I just want the program to be running in the task bar.
I know how to run the program in the task bar - but I still need to launch the program from the command prompt - is there anyway I can get a program running without having to start it from the command prompt?
CheersOr create a desktop shortcut (in Windows) or an application launcher ( in Linux GUI).

Using the Insert statement in a Java program without hardcoding the data
hello.
this is james mcfadden. i have developed a program called Demo.java, which is used with another program called QueryTableModel.java (a program that allows data to be viewed in a JTable). The Demo.java program displays a menu, connects to a database, allows the user to add data into the database and allows the user to view data that is already in the database. I have a problem with the Demo.java program. I have hardcoded the Insert statement in it. How do you use the Insert statement to put data into a database without hardcoding the data?

Make code changes without restaring the server
hi everyone,
how can we make the code changes reflect in the server without restarting the server is case of jboss using startDynamoOnJBOSS.bat.
because every time i make a small change in the code i am restarting the server to see the change in the output.Hi,
You can use debug mode of the eclipse. Follow the steps below:
1. If you're using Jboss goto your run.bat and find the line:
set JAVA_OPTS=-Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=8787,server=n,suspend=n %JAVA_OPTS%
Just make server=y
2. Put debug points in your file in eclipse. Put the point where ever you think you need to make changes.
3. Open "Debug Configuration" in eclipse and select "Remote Java Application" and click new. Fill the details and click apply.
4. Use f5 to go inside a method and f6 to goto next step. Use ctrl+shft+i to see the value of any parameter or just keep your mouse on the parameter.
I hope its clear.

I have a pix of a quilt in a document. I would like to print the page of the document at 400% to enable me to see the quilt better. When I go to effects and put in my percent, it prints the entire document and will not allow me to move to other pages. It says its p1 of 1. I am taking a class for making this quilt. I need this pix for the class.

This the site. The tulip quilt is what I would like to enlarge and print without the whole document. -
Is it possible to obtain line numbers in the stack trace of an exception
Is it possible for e.StackTrace in the following code to contain line numbers?
try
catch(Exception e)
LogStackTrace("Stack Trace:" + e.StackTrace);}
HongThank you for your response.
The linked article is for Windows Phone and it points out "it's not possible to deploy the PDB alongside the EXE/DLL". Is this also the case for Windows Store app, or Windows Store app is different and it can be deployed with a .pdb file as you
pointed out?
The Windows Store app package is like the following:
My App_1.3.0.5_AnyCPU.appxupload
It is a zip file that contains the following two files:
My App_1.3.0.5_AnyCPU.appx
My App_1.3.0.5_AnyCPU.appxsym
