Make migrated account an administrator?

I just migrated the admin account on my PowerBook to my new iMac running 10.6.2 via a direct ethernet connection. This appears to have gone well and I can log into the account and apparently use it. It is listed as an admin account in the Accounts pane. However, I'm am not able to fully manipulate the system Applications and Utilities folders as I can with the initial account set up. I was able to install Onyx into the Utilities folder by simply copying; but first I had to delete the previous version.
Moreover, all the menu items on iTunes are disabled
In short, how do I make the migrated account a proper administrator?

Basically just continued with the new account until all the migrated apps were replaced naturally by upgrades. All seems to work fine...

Why don't you just use your OS X install disc? It has a password reset utility on it.

No logon after migration assistant for migrated account

I just installed a new SSD in my Mac Pro. Installed 10.8 Created a temp account. Upgraded to 10.9 Ran Migration Assistant and migrated profile from the original hard drive still installed. Everything transferred but no logon on is available for the migrated account on the logon screen. Logged on and off, same thing. How do I logon to the migrated account.

Is the migrated user data inside /Users?
Open System Preferences & check that if user is listed inside Users & Groups.
If it doesn't exist you can create a new user, just take care to make sure the 'shortname' matches the name of the users home folder. It should prompt you to 'reuse' the existing home folder, otherwise it will just create a new user & default home folder.

Make OD accounts Local Admin!!!

Wondering if anyone might know how to do this if possible. Would like to take
a OD network account and give that user admin privileges on a particular station.
This is possible on the Windows side of the house, but i don't see a way to do
it on the Mac side. The only thing i can see is to make an account an Open Directory administrator which is not something i want to do.

Launch WorkGroup Manager and create a new Computer List. Don’t be tempted to use the default ones, call it something meaningful. Click the diaresis button (the one with 3 dots) and search for the client you are interested in, it should show itself in the discovery window. If you have given the client a unique name in the Sharing Preferences Pane then that should display itself making it easier for you to pinpoint the client. You could also add the desired client’s MAC address manually (which is actually a better way to do it). You can do this a number of ways but if you are sitting at the server and you know the client’s IP address just ping it using terminal. Let it ping a few times and then stop the ping with control+c, then issue the arp -a command. The resulting return will show you the MAC address against the IP address.
One you have added the client to the computer list you can select Access and restrict or allow access by Group. You get two options: "All Groups can use the computer" and "Restrict to groups below". Add a group that is populated with users that you want to be able to use that client. If you create a local admin account with the same name and password as exists in the LDAP node that should tie it up even further.
Its possible that this will work.

at the prompt:
sudo chmod -R +a "<user> allow list,addfile,search,delete,add_subdirectory,delete_child,readattr,writeattr,readextattr, writeextattr,readsecurity,file_inherit,directoryinherit" /User/<user_name> #yep, all that goes on one line!#
#Replace <user> with the user name that you want to have file/folder privileges#
#Replace <user_name> with the account you want to process#
example:
sudo chmod -R +a "sue allow list,add_file, .... deletechild,readsecurity,file_inherit,directoryinherit

#sue now gets full access to joe's files and folders#

You can add as many users as you want! Just lather, rinse repeat. That is how I share my itunes
directory with the ones I want to share it with.
That's the simplest way. ACL permissions overrule posix permissions.

Just go and buy an iTunes gift card at any store in your country.
Then follow all the steps you did, but when it asks you for the credit card number, there shoujld be a GIFT CARD option which will let you load your account witht eh funds form the gift card without providing a credit/debit card #.

Set up the account using a desktop or laptop, then sign
into that account on your iPhone.
I am not aware of any method around the restriction once
the maximum has been created on any individual iPhne.

Normall on account payment is a payment which is not against any invoice/bill.
In SAP, we take such scenarios throught the down payment cycle. Downpayment is nothing but advance issued to a vendor which is not against any invoice/bill.
So we can say that on account payment in SAP is handled through Down payment (advance).

F-47 - Request
F-48 - Down Payment
Tcodes wrt customers:
F-37 - Request
F-29 - Down Payment

How to make default account assignment category in planned order?

Scneario Description:
1. Sales order for a configurable parent item is created in ERP & order BOM is changed & transferred to APO. In APO MRP run takes place for that parent item, which creates a planned order with account assignment category "M" (M:Individual Customer w/o KD-CO.
2. Now based on the dependant requirement generated for parent item, MRP takes place for one of the child item in ERP & purchase requisition gets created for child item.
Question:
1. Can anybody help me how i can make default account assignment as "F" (F:Order) in the planned order of parent item?
2. PR created for child item also has default account assignment category as "M". we wish to change that to "F".

The account assignment category maintained in the requirement class for parent item is 'M'.
No account assignment category maintained has been maintained in the requirement class Semi-finished component (this component is sent for subcontracting).
The business process is as follows:
1. Create Sales Order for Parent say ME_PARENT.
2. Order BOM for ME_PARENT is created and subsequently cifed to APO.
3. PP/DS heuristic is run for ME_PARENT.
4. MRP for component ME_COMP is run in ERP.
It can be seen that purchase requistion for ME_COMP has a/c assgn category as 'M'. It seems that the ME_COMP has inherited 'M' from ME_PARENT.
We would like to have no a/c assgn category for ME_COMP.
Any pointers?

I had this same problem today. I have been battleing it for the past 5 hours, but it worked. You have to create a new account though.
What I did was go to iTunes and click Sign in, then made a new account.
But I didn't want to put in a Credit Card number, so what I did was
Open iTunes
Go to iTunes Store
Search a totaly free app. (I used Google Earth)
Click on the app from the list
Click the button under the icon that says "Free App"
Then it will ask you to sign in or make a new account, Select Make New Account
Follow All the steps on all the pages.
When you get to the page that you select your Credit Card, check "None"
Fill in the rest of the info and then click Complete
Verify your email
I hope this helped you. Strangely, you can only select "None" Under Credit Card if you do it this way. Must be some iTunes bug.

I think it depends on what you want to realize on these computers, for business, if you want to enable each account like john, bob,...etc available on every computer, you can deploy roaming profile in a domain environment, it allows users with
a computer joined to a domain can logon to any other computers on the same network and access their documents and consistent desktop experience.
