Make Offline is Broken

The how-to videos and documentation make mention of this 'Make Offline' feature.  I don't see that link.  It's not on the Recordings list for my meeting.  I've made the video public.  The link is not there.  I can Edit - but that provides no download options.  There is not even a column for the 'Make Offline' feature - it simply doesn't exist.  I can download using the 'foo.zip' method - but I wan't the composite FLV of the meeting too - w/o having to assemble it myself.

With a hosted account you would be on Connect 9.0.4. If you don't see that option, contact support 800-945-9120 and see if they can help identify the issue.
You can check your version by either mousing over the Help link on the login page for your account or by adding version.txt to your server url (for example http://yourcompany.adobeconnect.com/version.txt), though the help tool tip is more clear about the version.

  • Make offline clips problem with xsan

    Hi,
I have a problem with Final cut pro and Xsan.
    Mac Pro with Leopard
    Final cut pro 6
    Xsan 2
We have 7 Mac pro and Xsan 2. When we make offline the clips in final cut pro and select delete from disk, sometimes the QT files are deleted from Xsan volume but in FCP in the browser does not shows the clips as offline (with the red line in the clips). Sometimes, when we leave FCP and click on the desktop and
come back to FCP, makes the clips offline, but this annoying
    trick, does not always work.
    Thank you.

Were the clips imported from a camera? Try connecting the card and opening the camera import function?

  • Please make offline updater easy to find!

The standard updater for Flash has failed consistently on one of my computers for more than 2 years, now.  The package doesn't create any log files that I could find to debug the problem.  I've reported this at least twice and it's still broken.  I'm a software developer and I've even offered to help track down the problem, but nobody ever got back to me.
Every time I do this it takes me an hour to find the download URL for the latest offline installer.  I'm really getting sick of you wasting my time this way.  If you are too incompetent to actually fix the problem (or put in logging so I can figure out what it really is), at least put the URL of the offline loader on the initial download page; so, you don't waste a lot of my time.  Note that I am a paying customer for many Adobe products and this does not m
BTW, your requirement that the browser not be running followed by automatically kicking people back into the browser after the installation makes it really easy to lose the open windows.  This has cost me MANY hours of lost work having to reopen windows...

I downloaded Oracle Database 11g R1--which took 25 minutes, and which I don't need-- and then I doubled clicked setup.exe...and my machine froze. So now I have rebooted...do I dare try this again. Why does Oracle make this so difficult? Downloading and installing an ODBC driver should take 15 minutes, tops. I've already spent a couple of hours on this.I would hardly say that running an executable and it freezing your machine is "Oracle making it difficult". I would say that such a thing is perhaps caused by an issue between the version of the software you've downloaded and the operating system or some other software running on that operating system.
Oracle has always provided it's software in packages e.g. Client install or Database install. Just because you feel you don't need all of a package is not really Oracle's fault. Can you imagine how P'd off people would be if oracle provided everything as seperate downloads and you had to try and figure out which downloads you needed to get all the functionality you wanted? Let's be realistic.... keeping everying as a package for downloading is far more simplified and acceptable in the real world, even if you only need to install a part of it.
Myself, and I'm sure many others, have never found this to be a problem.
Ensure you've downloaded the right version for your operating system and ensure you follow any installation notes. If it's still failing, then raise a SR on metalink to seek assistance or post on the forum Justin linked to with full details of what you're doing and what versions of everything you are using/trying to install etc.

  • Using Media Manager to 'Make Offline' it re-names media files to 'Private'

For some reason Media Manager is changing the name of media files when processing them making it impossible to reconnect them.
My director always has a complete copy of our film's media files on his 'home set-up' (FCP 5.0 on a Powerbook with 2 x 500gb firewire drives) so he can look at our cuts at home. This has caused problems in the past with firewire drives expiring or failing to mount: making the whole process pointless. Also, as the amount of footage increased, he struggled to find space for the 6-8 drives required.
My solution was to down-convert our DV resolution media files to Photo-Jpeg resolution which allowed me to fit 3TB of footage onto 2 brand new G-Tech drives. Every time I sent him a cut to view all I had to do was use media manager to make the sequence offline and convert it to exactly the same Photo-Jpeg setting I used to export the files. All he has to do is reconnect the sequence to his drives at his end.
A wonderful plan except when you came to reconnecting. I found that 95% of clips connect perfectly and then you get asked for the location of some media files called 'Trashes' 'Applications' or more commonly, 'Private'. Obviously no such files existed - I use an impeccably organised and structured filename system when capturing. Therefore it made random clips in my sequence impossible to reconnect once it had been converted to the settings used by the director.
When this only happened once or twice I thought I could easily just work out what files it was actually looking for by the clip names on the timeline and tell FCP to reconnect to the correct file by ignoring the file name but this is so time consuming and impractical when you have 20/30 clips that have been renamed on a sequence. It is also not the sort of thing my director is technically capable/willing to do.
It also seems to be happening when you convert things in the other direction. When I took a sequence from the director's project and brought it back onto my system by converting his sequence to my DV-PAL settings we got the same problems with 'Private and 'Applications' clips. And we know for sure that all of these clips were online on his computer.
Has anyone seen this before or know any steps I could take to prevent it happening.
I fear that if I can't get this method to work I will have to give him full resolution media to work with and I will be fated to spend the rest of my days replacing. smashing or swearing at firewire drives that only work when they feel like it.
    Anybody got any ideas.
    Cheers
    Paul
    Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

haven't tried this but it may be worth some investigation.
try exporting an XML of your sequence and passing that to the director
on the director's FCP setup, import the xml, and in the Import XML... window uncheck the "Override with setting from XML" checkbox, and choose the approriate offline res that matches the directors media.
see if the resulting sequence will reconnect

  • Can't make offline backup after system copy

    Hi to all!
After the system copy of Solution Manager 7.01 ehp 1 from Windows to RHEL Linux I can't make the offline backup. SolMan work normaly.
    Online backup works normally too.
But I have no *.spi and *.spu files in the backup directory (like benziefn.spi). I tried to update brtools - it doesn't help. I run brtools under orasid user.

  • Make offline files accessible after profile update

    Hi altogether,
is there anybody out there who has a deep understanding of the Windows 7 offline files feature? I would really like to know how users are granted access to the offline cache. I found the files in C:\Windows\CSC, but this folder and its subfolders do not
have any ACL structure (just one: Local System). Where are the access permissions stored? And is it possible to adapt this if we change the profile owner?
Here is the background for my question:
We are about to perform a AD migration using the Quest Resource Updating Manager. The offline cache is consisting of system files, that you can just access either taking ownership or using scripts executed as Local System. So the RUM is not possible to grant
the updated profile access to this offline cache and the cache has to be rebuild. We do not want every user to rebuild his offline cache. The problem is mentioned here:
    https://support.quest.com/SolutionDetail.aspx?id=SOL9359
Still this is not a Quest only problem.
For Windows XP there exists CSCCMD.exe which is contained in the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tool. These tools are not compatible with newer Windows versions (I installed, had to replace the cscdll.dll and it didn't even recognized that CSC was enabled)
not to talk about 64 bit. Is there any way to imitate CSCCMD.exe /RESID? This article aims in the same direction but concerning another problem:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/977229  . I did not figure out how to solve our problem using the Offline Files WMI Provider.
Here are more information about CSCCMD:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/884739
Can anybody help me? I am really curious about this!

  • US version Lenovo Tab 2 (A7-30F) Not receiving updates. - Make offline downloads available?

I decided it might be best to open a new thread about this issue, since I don't necessarily believe attention is being given to similar threads once marked as "solved." I am a fairly new owner of the A7-30F model Lenovo Tab 2, and it appears that the touchscreen has some kind of software feature, perhaps to prevent "accidental" touches, that makes it respond poorly to user touch input.  I know it's not a hardware problem, because when I use the Lenovo companion app to test touch and multi-touch functionality, the touchscreen appears to be much more responsive during diagnostics, but the user interface of that same diagnostics app seems plagued by the same touch resistance. I have read elsewhere on the forum that a software patch has been made available OTA, that resolves the touch issues, but My tablet does not seem to be able to find said update, indicating that I'm already on the latest version every time I check the Software Updater.  I even wiped the cache and data from the software updater application, and it still thinks I have the latest software. My question is this.  Is there a staggered rollout of these updates, and are they based on geographic constraints?  Even if I'm not yet to get the lollipop update, is there a reason the A7-30F_S000027_150624_ROW can't be made available via the downloads area so that it can be applied from local media via the updater app?  Can the US version Lollipop update be made available for use with the updater app as well? This should benefit all customers, because it also provides a go-back point in case someone were to upgrade their device to Android 5.x but not like the changes from 4.4.2. Is it safe to assume with 5.x updates being staged and released, that I'm never going to see that 150624 build?

Helloooooo?  I this thing on?  It's been 4 days since I posed this question.  Any chance of getting an official response?

  • How to make Offline Interactive form Dynamic in nature?

    Hi,
I am using SFP to create Interactive forms. In Form properties -> Defaults, I have set "Interactive Form" and "Dynamic Form" in Preview box... Data is read from XML and in the preview tab of SFP, form works just fine.
In the function module call, I have set Fillable = 'X' and also Dynamic = 'X' for docparams.
When I run the program and create the form, drop down list is not displayed properly.. when I had not set dynamic = 'X', I could not see any value at all in the drop-down field.. after setting dynamic = 'X', I just see one (first) value populated in the drop-down field, but the field does not show any drop-down to choose other values from..
am i missing any setting or doing anything wrong?
    thanks.

  • Make connect presentation offline and convert flv

    hi there,
I have a problem with converting flv files from connect presentations. 1 of my clients wants to have his adobe connect meeting as a wmv or avi file.
So i saved this presentation from the server to my laptop (make offline, save flv file)
What i noticed is that audio is not separated. When importing this flv file in adobe premiere or soundbooth or the mediaencoder, there is no sound(track) in non of this programs.
The next step i took from what i'v read from a forum is to buy 4Media 'Audio Converter Pro' and convert the audio. So far it works but when importing the audio and video file in adobe premiere i see that my
audio file is about 5minutes shorter 01:05:09 in comparison to my videofile 01:10:49. So i thought: 'this is a frequency issue'. But when i checked the flv file it says that its 44.1 Khz and
the converted file is the same. Can somebody tell me how to solve this problem.
    Thanks in advance
    Frank Schel

    Hi Tulse!
Thanks for your reply! But the problem is that when i convert to wmv i get just a video... Lets say that when i export my keynote to quicktime, i can do it so when i open it on quicktime i can just click and the presentation would pass as if i was on keynote. But when i convert it to windows media and open it, it would just go through as if it was a video...

  • IPad 30-pin Port Seemingly Broken; Unexportable Data must be Backed Up

Hello everyone. I come here in desperation. My iPad's 30-pin port recently decided to stop functioning properly:
    1) When plugged into a "dumb" power source like a USB/AC block it does the "Not Charging" message, even on power sources it never used to do this on. And on these it charges dreadfully slow, like less than 10% recovery in an hour of sleep mode in Airplane mode. If you try to use it while charging in this manner it experiences a significant net loss instead of net gain in power. I repeat, this happens on power sources I've used it with since iOS 4.2 and that it didn't happen with before.
    2) When connected to: Mac OS X, Windows 7, Windows XP (different machine), with iTunes of any version it refuses to acknowledge the connection at all. If the iPad is off when it's connected it will start up, but it won't show up in iTunes and doesn't show ANY sign of charging, not even "Not Charging", and the battery icon does not show it to be charging. Even in Recovery mode it will not show up in iTunes at all, no does it show up in System profiler as a connected USB device.
    3) Despite these not working, the port is not entirely dead, because it still happily does TV out like normal, albiet with the "Not Charging" message if I have the AV Cable thing plugged into AC.
I've tried wiggling the plugs, holding them at odd angles, tried two different USB cables (and verified both by successfully syncing my iPod Touch with them), different computers, etc.
Unfortunately the big problem here is that I have significant unexportable data on the device right now that is mission critical to some things I need done by Monday. This data cannot be lost, and my most recent backup is insufficient for restoring what I need.
So, I was wondering, is this problem due to damaged pins (I have examined them under a magnifying glass, and I swear they look pristine) or is the port controller fried? What can I do to fix this?
    Other Info:
This is my SECOND iPad, the first one got stuck in "Connect to iTunes" mode a few months ago due to some sort of hardware issue.
I got my first iPad 5 months ago, so this might be my second replacement in 5 months. Unacceptable, Apple.
There is a small crack in the plastic Antenna hood, near the corner, (I walked into a wooden door, which was satisfyingly dented from the incident too) but that's on the other side of the device form my problem, and Syncing worked for weeks after that happened. So I'm also worried the Apple people will give me trouble about that and refuse a replacement.
The only thing I can possibly imagine having caused the problem is a "nasty" disconnect at one point, where the cable was disconnected form the port in a not so clean way. This would make me think "broken pins" but like I said, I spent about half an hour staring at all 30 of them, and they all look perfect.
So it's under warranty and I could probably get a replacement, but I NEED so unexportable data from it, and thus a backup and sync before I can do that.
    Please help.

    jorlick wrote:
I'm not sure what that reply has to do with this post,
The thread is about exporting data that wasn't back up when the port no longer works, possibly because it was damaged by an impact. If people backed up their data regularly, this would not be the emergency problem the OP had.
But, no, charging port problems are not all that common. Three people have posted to this thread with problems in three years. The OP admits that there was possible damage to their device. No one else has provided enough details to judge what the actual problem might be.

  • "Offline" Recordings Not Full Length. Why? HELP!!!!

I produce webinars, record them all, and then make an OFFLINE VERSION (downloaded to my computer) that I burn to DVD. This has always been flawless in the past. However, now, my OFFLINE RECORDINGS show meetings that are only 16 minutes 40 seconds in length, when in fact they are 2 hours long. The original recordings are the correct length when you view them online. Something seems to go wrong with Adobe's system when it goes through the "make offline" process. I'm on a Mac running 10.7.5 (Lion) and have been using Safari & RealPlayer. Adobe claims to have fixed the file, but the file itself was never the problem....I have multiple downloads of different meetings now all weighing in at 16:40.
At first I thought maybe the glitch was from webinars recorded in Connect 8 but made offline after migration to Connect 9. So I tried "making offline" versions of a meeting recorded natively in 9, but had the same result. I've tried meetings that have been edited, meetings that are in their original form, everything I can think of to pinpoint or troubleshoot. Tried using a player besides RealPlayer to determine if that's the weak link. Tried playing the resulting burned DVD files in different computers with different operating systems.....there is no consistent fix.
Anyone else have this "make offline" glitch? It's driving me crazy.

Contact Support and let them know you are having the issue with the offline FLV creation. You are not alone, this has been brought up here as well, Adobe Connect User Community
If all you need is the audio, then you can pull down the source files for the recording by adding /output/yourfilename.zip?download=zip to your recording URL. There you will find one of two files, depending on how the audio was recorded.
XXXXX.mp3 - If you used just telephone audio, you should find an MP3 file of the audio.
cameraVoip_X.flv - If you used just VoIP, Universal Voice audio, or blended phone and VoIP audio you will need to extract the audio from this file. I use FLV to MP3, a free program, but there are plenty of tools out there to extract the audio.
Once you have you audio you can use your tool of choice to put the audio into another presentation.

  • How can i use offline & online database in the same time?

how can i use offline & online database in the same time?
my database in another server when the connection true it connect
but if not does not work
i wanna make offline database if the server not connected it connect offline then the server is on it alter all data from the offline to the server.

User, please tell us your Jdev version!
There is no such functionality build into the framework. The offline data base is only for designing the db, not to have a backup db.
If you can't connect to the db the application will not work.

  • Offline in fiori lauchpad

    Hi experts,
I have  a requirement where i need to implement offline feature for applications in fiori lauchpad. For example suppose i login to the fiori launchpad , say i have 5 - 6 applications. Now i need those applications to run when i go offline. Is it feasible??
    Any suggestions are welcome.
    Regards
    Indrajith

    Hi Indrajith,
To get offline capability for browser based apps, look at the following,
You can achieve full offline capability using IndexDB. Since the HTML 5 spec has been finalised, all major browsers now support IndexDB as opposed to the older WebSQL. Storage is dependent on the browser and platform. Desktop is a % of disk space for Chrome. Google for other browsers. We managed to get around 100MB for Safari in iOS. I recommend using third party libraries like PouchDB since they do the hard stuff for you and all you concentrate on is the design and implementation of your application. Also, to achieve offline capability you need use the HTML 5 offline capability with the manifest file (Google it!) so as to ensure your files cached on the device.
Fiori Offline however requires SMP 3 (latest SP). The Offline Kapsel plugin needs to be used. You will need to edit the Fiori app in question to add code to determine which service to make offline for creating data stores etc. This is based on what I've been researching. Please correct me if I'm off topic here.

  • Audiobook handling broken in iTunes 10

I know this subject has been handled a group of times before, but most of the answers seem to be more appropriate for earlier versions of itunes. I haven't found 10 discussed specifically.
I have been importing audiobooks from various sources, ripped CDs, downloads, etc. Before 10, I would then convert the files to AAC and then run Make Bookmarkable. As this process proceeded, you could see the files disappear from the music folder and they would appear in the audiobook folder. Now Make Bookmarkable is broken by 10, and I have tried to use the things listed (Options - media type - audiobook) that others have described. I have tried trashing the files and reimporting the AAC files to itunes. No joy.
Does anyone have any other ideas on what I should try? TIA

Never mind. I searched a little farther and realized that I was clicking audiobook on the info page rather than the options page. Makes all the difference.

  • Error making recording offline

I have tried doing "make offline" on multiple recording, on multiple computers and keep having the same error:
About 1 minutes into the recording, the video becomes very narrow, messing up the aspect ratio and making it unwatchable. I'm not able to turn any of my meetings in watchable files.
I've tried this on MAC/PC, windows xp, vista and 7. Also tried different resolutions on my computer screen, still the same problem.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?

What are you trying to print and what is your operating system on the computer you are using? Does it take a long time to print from your computer or the iPad? Have you had this issue for long?
For now I am going to recommend we remove and reinstall the software onto your computer as a preliminary step.
First if you use a USB cord, make sure to remove it. Do not plug it back in until the software directs you to. Then go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer.
In the START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it.
Then follow this link to download the full feature software and drivers for the printer:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=4323648
Install that and let me know the result!
    Have a great day!
