Make one movie from 3

I have created 3 separate documents in flash and have
generated three separate swf clips. How can I join them all
together end to end. I have tried numerous solutions and import
options with little success. ie. selecting the entire project and
converting to a movie clip but when you do this you loose the
animations. Is there a program that will allow me to import the
completed swf files onto a timeline and then export them as a
single movie clip?

i was told streamclip but need help with how to do this
1) Export projects to disk using preset or preferred QT compression format.
2) If not ordered in play sequence, order files using alpha-numeric name. (E.g., clip-1, clip-2, clip-3, etc.)
3) Open MPEG Streamclip and either drag and drop the the entire set of file to the work area or use the "Open Files..." option to select the entire set of files.
4) Scrub playback head when files open in player window to ensure they are properly ordered.
5) Select the "Save As..." option to save the new combined file in an MOV file container at a convenient location.
6) Close MPEG Streamclip.
Use your normal work flow to bring in your new file and author your DVD/menu.

  • How to make one movie from different imovie files?

I have 12 imovie files that I am trying to put together as one movie with 12 chapter markers.
    How do I do that?
    Thanks.

...import all 12 movies in it and mark the chapters...
very hard to imagine a less space consuming way...
you can drop the movies directly into iDVD…
you get a videoDVD with 2x6 (I wouldn't place 12 chapters on a single menu) "chapters"...

  • How do I combine several clips to make one movie?

The iPhone 6 doesn't have a video pause button (ingenious) so I recorded several clips.  I downloaded these clips to iMovie and put them all in one event.  When I play the event, the video jumps a little every time it goes from one clip to the next.  Is there a way to combine the clips to make one movie that doesn't have those jumps.  Thanks!

Thanks for your response.  I already figured this out but was unable to post a reply sooner.  I just figured out that you can't reply when you are in private browsing.  Another Apple glitch.  Regarding this issue, in typical Apple fashion, the products can be confusing to use, the user manuals are poorly written, the help menus, many times, aren't very helpful, and the product development decisions can be baffling.
In the case of video-making and editing, Apple has hit the triple-crown: First, the iPhone 6 video recorder doesn't have a pause button; Second, in iMovie, you CAN'T combine separate clips; And third, again in iMovie, you can't download clips directly from iPhoto - you have to move the clips out of iPhoto first.  By the way, iPhoto is the default location when clips are uploaded to iCloud.  Unbelievable!
For any first-time user reading this, a project is a movie or a trailer.  And even when you are in a project, you can't combine separate clips.  You can only combine a clip that was separated back to the clip it was separated from.  Thanks, Karsten, for taking the time to respond.

  • How do i make two movies from one clip?

i have imported a clip from my camera.
i want to make two movies. one is pretty much the entire clip, but one is only a portion of it. how do i retain the integrity of the complete clip while making edits?

you should copy the clip (edit>copy) from the project that has the clip as its whole, save and close that project, then make the new one that needs to be only a portion of your clip, paste the clip (edit>paste), and edit it. this is either the answer to your questoin, or i dont understand your questoin.

  • I want to make a movie from two images

I have two images (.jpg) that I wnat to put together so they flop back and forth (one then the other) creating a movie lasting about 10 seconds.
How might I go about this using iMovie. I've tried about everthing I can think of. But I'm very new using iMove.
Thanks in advance for any help offered.

You can't "improve" the audio quality of an .mp3 file by converting it to AIFF. At ten MB's a minute they would have a 300 MB file but still the quality of the source.
I would use QuickTime Player Pro to make the "movie" of the .mp3 audio track. Here's how:
Create an all black image file (one bit .jpeg format) in any image editor. Use very small dimensions (just a few pixels to keep the file size down).
Open QuickTime Player Pro and then this new .jpeg file. Command-a (Select All) and Command-c (Copy).
Open the .mp3 file using QuickTime Player Pro. Command-a (Select All) and then choose "Add to Selection & Scale" from the edit menu.
Open the Movie Properties window, highlight the new video track with a single click and then click the Visual Settings tab.
Adjust the video track dimensions from the very small size of the source to whatever works best to fit the intended display. 640X480 would probably be best.
Use the Save menu to give this new file a different name. It will now be a .mov file with an all black video track and the original .mp3 audio.

  • What is the simplest way to make a movie from BufferedImages?

I have a 3d rendered animation from which I can grab BufferedImages of each frame. What is the simplest way I can create a movie from these images?
I've seen the JpegImagesToMovie.java file and not only is it suprisingly overcomplicated, it requires me to change the code so that I can get images from memory rather than from files.
Is there some simple way of creating a movie which requires a few statements? I'm also prepared to use QuickTime for Java. I don't care about the format, since I can just use any video converter to convert it to my desired video format.

I recently came up with a simplified JpegImagesToMovie program. It generates QuickTime movies with a single video track output as a file. Input is a series of jpegs (currently as a list of file names, but easily modified to a take any form of jpeg data.) Since the compression used by the movie is JPEG, if you have an uncompressed image buffer, you'll need to convert that into jpeg data bytes with some quality setting. (Since its a movie file, go with something low if you have a lot of similar images.) This will even run without a full install of jmf--no native code is called (as far as I could tell..)
Here is the source code, sorry about the formatting!

    * This was based on Sun's JMF Sample Code JpegImagesToMovie.java 1.3 01/03/13
    * This code is an attempt to reduce the complexity to demonstrate a very basic
    * JPEG file list to movie generator. It does not use a Manager or Processor
    * class, so it doesn't need to implement any event listening classes. One
    * advantage of this simplified class is that you can just link it with the
    * jvm.jar file. (you might also need to track down the com.ms.security library
    * stubs, use google. You'll need PermissionID.java and PolicyEngine.java.)
    * I tried to get it to generate AVI files without success.
    * These output files are could use further compression.
    * A Vector of jpeg image paths was one way to do this--the appropriate
    * methods can be overwritten to grab images from another source
    * --zip file, http, etc.

Ouch. That's rather like saying your thesis committee needs your paper tomorrow and, say, while we're at it, can we help you with your research?
After Effects is huge, unbelievably deep and stupidly complicated.
It's not that we don't WANT to help you, it's that we cannot execute the rendering commands for you nor can we make all of the rendering and output decisions for you.

  • What is the av-1 file that is created when I make Quicktime Movies from FCP

I have just experienced the -av1 phenomena for the first time.
I have been exporting to QT movies regularly using the same internal and external drives for months - no changes, no incorrect formatting. I have used those exported movies to create One-Step DVDs in iDVD for display and distribution. This -av1 file thing is keeping me from doing that.
The only diff with this project (and, in fact, it's a new Sequence in a Project that has successfully been exported (without the companion file)) is that this sequence had .aiff music files some of which were from iTunes (downloaded/protected).
I thought that might be the problem, so I created mp3s (by burning to disk and re-importing) and replaced the aiff's in the timeline - it still insisted on creating -av1 files with the QT Movie.
    Help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

It means that the drive that you are saving these to is formatted FAT32 and has a file size limit of 2GB. Check the file sizes and see.
If the drive was formatted MacOS Extended you won't see this issue.
