  • Aperture, how to make photos bigger

Im asking for a simple question, but no place in hte help part is explaning me how to adjust the pix size.
Iv been googling this question too, but no link tels me how to do it!
Can it be that dificult in this program??

but no place in hte help part is explaning me how to adjust the pix size.
In Aperture you don't adjust the pix size, that is why you don't find a help text explaining how to do it .
Aperture stores you image files as master image files in the original image quality and size, and if you need an image of a smaller size, you export a version of your image with new dimensions. This is done in the File -> Export dialogue; here you can define and use suitable export presets.
But the master image files will always stay unchanged; so you will always be able to undo any adjustments and recreate the original import.

Control (right) - click on the photo in the frame and select Fit to Frame Size in the contextual menu.
Here's an extreme example of that:

Changing the DPI to 120 won't affect the font size of the menu bar in the Editor.  See this FAQ for what happens when you change the DPI:

  • What iPhoto version is compatible with Lion OSX 10.7.5 and will it let me make photo calendars?

What iPhoto version is compatible with Lion OSX 10.7.5 and will it let me make photo calendars?
I have just upgraded from Leopard to Lion (via Snow Leopard) because I could no longer order photo calendars with iphoto 7.1.5.  However, I still have iphoto 7.1.5 and need to upgrade this.  From the App store it looks as though I cannot get iphoto 9.5.1 due to the incompatibility with Lion.  I was recemmended not to upgrade beyond Lion due to the age of my iMac computer (2008 version) by Stormfront staff.
What is the best iphoto to upgrade to and how do I do this e.g. iLife '09 or '11, or are there any other 'stand-alone' versions of iphoto that would be compatible?  How do I know whether my computer is capable of upgrading to Mountain Lion?  I definitely want to be able to make photo calendars, books and cards.
    Thanks

iPhoto '09 or '11 - purchase an iLife '09 or '11 DVD (amazon or eBay are potential sources) and install iPhoto and update to the latest version for your OS

  • How can you make your persona show on the top and bottom? Also can you make it bigger at the top to show more of the picture?

Also can you make it bigger at the top to show more of the picture?

Add extra empty toolbars if you want to see more of the persona.<br />
You can create extra toolbars to get extra space via View > Toolbars > Customize<br />
You have to put something on a toolbar (drag a Space item onto it) before closing the Customize window because empty toolbars are automatically removed.<br />

Books are no longer supported with iPhoto '08 (a roughly six yeal old product) - you can purchase an iLife '09 DVD from someplace like Amazon or eBay and install it - iPhoto '09 is still supported this year

  • Power Mac G4 Cube! Why Didn't It Make A Bigger "Splash"?

I'm feeling nostalgic and want to discuss the now legendary (at least in my eyes) Power Mac G4 Cube. I remember this computer being something more than just "a computer". I saw it as Apple really pushing the boundaries of engineering art and design. Yes Steve blew everyone away with the introduction of the iMac in 1998, but personally I think the Cube at the beginning of the new millenium was when Apple really kicked hardware innovation into a higher gear.
But what puzzles me is why didn't the Cube make a bigger splash in the market than it did? Today most won't even know what it is except for the true Apple fans of the last 15 years. Usually Apple introduces a design language and it runs for a few years before any major revision or retirement. The Cube was introduced and was only around for a year.
I'd just like to know your thoughts on the Cube (maybe personal memories of owning one, if you did) in general and why it didn't make any real impact.
One question to ask would be why didn't the G4 Cube naturally evolve into a G5 Cube like the rest of Apple's lineup at the time?
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Mac_G4_Cube

Hi, I seiously lusted after one, but insisted on waiting for the 500 MHz model, by the time they finally got the 500 out, I had spent the money, by the time I had the Money they were gone.
I think there were several reasons...
There werent many Mac users then.
Many thought a real computer had to be BIG.
The lack of upgradability was seen as a drawback by many.
It cost as much as a big computer of a different ilk.
One question to ask would be why didn't the G4 Cube naturally evolve into a G5 Cube like the rest of Apple's lineup at the time?
Same reason there were no G5 Laptops, mostly heat issues, though laptops had an additional power/battery problem... whole reason Apple went to Intel chips.

  • HOW TO MAKE FONTS BIGGER IN FINDER MENU

How can i make fonts bigger in finder menu and safari menus . everything is very small

    Zoom works well or:
Sidebar Text & Icons can be set to small, medium or large. > System prefs > General > Sidebar Icon size..  Sorry Lion..
Finder text can be made larger > View > Show view options.
Safari & Mail  command + works reasonably well.
Changing the Display resolution > System Prefs > Display may work OK for you.
Third party freeware option > Tinker Tool.
Must admit I wonder if my eyes would cope OK with the HighDef screen on an Air..

  • Any time any of my usernames come up in the dropdown menu with auto complete, the font is to small and i can't read it.. is there anyway to make it bigger???

the auto fill feature that firefox has, when i go to type in a username that's already been entered in, i cant read what i've previously put in at previous website visits. The drop down menu that shows what has previously been entered is way to small and i can't read what it says. even with the page zoomed. how can i make it bigger?

    Hello Ashley.
You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
On the other hand, you may have Firefox configured to display fonts like that. Check Tools > Options > Content > Fonts & Colors and see that the font size is not too small. In my experience, sizes bellow 16 will be way to small to read.

  • Is it possible to make photos with the Ipod nano 5G?

Is it possible to make photos with the Ipod Nano 5G?

No. But you can take a photo of the video with your Mac.
With the iPod connected to your computer, click on the iPod, open the DCIM folder & move the video file onto your desktop. Play the video & when you get to the part you want to take a picture of, put Quicktime on pause. Take a screen shot (appleshift3) or (appleshift4 for cross hair cropping) of the paused video.

  • How do you make photos handicap accessible?

How do you make photos handicap accessible?

What you are describing is Tooltips. If you search this forum you'll find some info but I think all of them require editing of the files post publishing - adding code with an app like MassReplaceIt.
Tooltips will show in some browsers if you insert the image tag into an iWeb snippet and add your text to the title like so....
    <img src="http://www.domain-name.com/imagefile.jpg" title="Tooltip Text Goes Here" />
The problem is that the text is small and it wouldn't be much use to partially sighted people.
With the thought anything may be possible, I did a rough test to see if something could be done in an HTML Snippet. This is very rough and needs some more work to tidy it up....

  • Can I make photo albums to get printed off like on iPhoto on the Mac? I only own an iPad.

Can I make photo albums to get printed off like on iPhoto on the Mac? I only own an iPad.

Photo books are only available in iPhoto on a Mac, not on the iPad.
You can organize your photos into Journals on the iPad. If you have an iCloud account, you can publish your journal as a webpage and share a link to your journal with others. When you edit your journal, your changes automatically appear on your journal webpage.

  • Is there a way to make text bigger on text messages or is there a way to save messages on my computer so i can print them on my iPhone 3

is there a way to make text bigger on text messages or is there a way to save messages on my computer so i can print them on my iPhone 3

Zoom will enlarge anything on the screen, simply double tap with three fingers.
To turn Zoom on/off go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom.
Large text may also work for you.
Settings > General > Accessibility > Large text.  Select the font size that works best for you.
Printing or accessing text messages via the computer is not support.  Google it and you will find options.
You can also copy and past the content into an email to send to yourself.  Then that email could be printed out.
