Make regions transparent

Hi all -
Is there a way to make regions in Logic transparent, so you can see the grid behind them? Or a way to overlay the grid on top of the regions?

hi .. i was wondering if there is a setting somewhere to make the grid shine through the region in arrange window. I find it quite hard to align my audio tracks without seeing the grid on the waveform.

yes, I'll add my voice to saying how helpful it would be for a future update of logic to include an option for turning on a grid overlay over regions, or for being able to set the opacity of regions in order to see the grid beneath when editing. Personally, I get around it by using the method referred to in the post above mine.

the navigation for the sphere doesnt let me navigate throught the pictures.
If you look at the code i made it transparent by removing the drawboard function or the fills in the function.
As i said when i do this the navigation seems non functional.

Since you had written event handlers on 'board' and board is transparent (without drawBoard function), there will be no events triggered and navigation is not possible. Workaround is to create board with fill = minimum alpha value (0.01).
board.graphics.beginFill(0x0, 0.01);

Or, if you don't like fiddling with Xdefaults file, you can simply make urxvt transparent by executing it like "urxvt -tr -sh 20", where the number represents the transparency level. However, this is only pseudo transparency, but I like it better than resource-consuming compositing.
Will give it a try. I'm not against .Xdefaults - just haven't used it that much and know only the basics ( color schemes )

Where was this logo created? If it's in a different program you need to export it from there as an Animation file with transparency conserved by setting your colors to Millions of Colors+, as Ian already said.
If you have this file within FCE and have no way of accessing the original project in which it was created, try setting the composite mode to Screen or Add via +Modify > Composite Mode.+

How to make regions editable in fluid grid template in 2014.1.1 in LIVE view - can't open the template editable selection panel

I am teaching a course in Dreamweaver 2014.1.1
We are setting up templates in fluid grids.
We need to make regions editable.
The LIVE view replaced the DESIGN view and does not have certain options accessible anymore.
I can't find the command to access the dropdown panel to make a region editable.
The Template tab at top, and the make editable options subtab, will not come open in fluid grid template mode.
Does anyone have a way to do this?

My advice for now is to stay away from Fluid Grid Layouts. But if that's not an option, I'll show you a trick for getting Design View back. Open the Fluid Grid CSS file and add an X as shown below. This tricks DW into thinking it's a normal layout.

1) I try to make a transparent file, I set the backgroud contents to be transparent:
But I got a White background file.
2) I try to create a new layer: It never give me any checkboard transparent layer, it is always WHITE

I made it work by save the screenshots in JPEG file, then insert into the post.
If you just paste into the post directly from the clipboard, it appears okay, only when you submit the post, it disappears.

Problem statement_
Below example is to demonstrate the usecase to make region visible/invisible inside the page created in composer mode.
The problem with this case is the 'Show Component' property does not automatically evaluate its expression even after using the contextual event.
We want the region to be refreshed at run-time just like it works with design time pages using Refresh, RefreshCondition attributes in pageDef.
My Usecase_
I have two task flows dragged in Webcenter Customized Page.
First contains Employee list and Second contains selected employee's manager name.
By default when page loads second task-flow/Dragged-Box should be hidden.
When I select employee from first box, then immediately second box should be appeared with manager name.
In the case when If Employee does not have manager, second box should be disappeared. Whole page should not be refreshed only the second box should be refreshed and hide.

Thanks for your prompt reply..
While referencing the taskflow in any page will create a region and makes entry in pageDef for that page.
In the PageDef of that page I am using Refresh and RefreshCondition attributes of the taskflow tag in order to refresh the taskflow based on certain condition or parameter change.
I want to achieve the same in run-time environment using composer mode. where I have the control over page but do not have pageDef (visually where I can go and add the attributes Refresh and RefreshCondition manually)
I would be obliged if someone can help on this.

Unable to make a transparent connection from non root user

I am trying to make a transparent connection from a non-root user and I am having permission denied when trying to generate ssh keys, as per below:
$ ssh-keygen -t rsa
Generating public/private rsa key pair.
Enter file in which to save the key (/global/xnode/taprap/.ssh/id_rsa):
Enter passphrase (empty for no passphrase):
Enter same passphrase again:
open /global/xnode/taprap/.ssh/id_rsa failed: Permission denied.
Saving the key failed: /global/xnode/taprap/.ssh/id_rsa.
Its working fine as root user, but not for any other user.
