SDN search for QUEUE_NOT_EMPTY gives no results.

Hi,
The point is that there seem to be problems with the SDN
search engine that it can't find SDN forum articles .
To elaborate the example:
If you search for QUEUE_NOT_EMPTY in SDN you get no results. Since there was one thread (now there are two)
which contains this word I would have expected the search
to come up with this.

i agree with u.
the sites like kayak, mobissimo are using spider tool to get data from other sites(airline site, etc..).
and they are using jquery with php pages. these sites are airline ticket booking sites.
my questions are:-
how can they get flight information without any GDS help?
can a spider program/tool fetch the realtime data?
i had experience in implementation of client side web services for GDS(worldspan,amadeus).
but i am not have any experience with travel meta search engine applications..
thats way a need help from seniors...

Why won't any of my search engines work? Typing a web address in works just fine but when searching through google, yahoo, bing, etc. it freezes up.

When trying to use a search engine, it is constantly "thinking" and eventually times out. All search engine's are doing the same thing.

Why isn't my Itunes search engine working?

A month ago, my Itunes wish list disappeared with all my songs in it. A few days later, my history disappeared. Three days ago my search engine quit working properly. I type in the name of a song to search, when the results page pops up the song category is blank. Now the all categories on the page are blank. I have tried searching under artist name, song title and song category. Nothing!!! Any advice?

Is there a way to make the Markers panel work better with the Source panel?

My workflow is to first cut a multi-cam project (but it could be any long clip), then watch it all over again to make notes about what to keep and what to kick. So after I'm done cutting the initial rough cut of the entire hour or two of footage, I'll set focus to the Markers panel and begin watching the entire clip from the beginning to make notes as markers within the clip.
I'll play the clip back in the Source monitor and when something interesting happens, I'll type "M" on the keyboard. This places a marker in the clip (or multi-cam clip in my case). Without stopping the clip, I'll pick up my mouse and tap the Markers tab in the notes section for the last marker laid down. I'll type a note (something like "S" for interesting "Shot" or "HUGS" or "DANCING" to indicate the main action occuring at this point in the clip, or "Mike: Are we there, yet?" for a key dialog point). Next, I'll move my mouse back to the Source panel (the video has not stopped this entire time) and give any gray area of the Source panel a tap just to activate it. I'll watch for the next point of interest and repeat the process. M to mark. Move to the Markers panel. Tap the last marker. Type some notes. Move back to the Source panel and tap to give the panel focus. This works fairly well, but could be tuned, with just a few options, to make it more streamlined for this type of use.
What I'd like to be able to do is never leave the keyboard AND use minimal keyboard shortcuts. A perfect workflow might be:
1. Start playing the clip in the Source panel.
2. Type "M" to drop a marker. Focus would AUTOMATICALLY move to the notes section of that marker within the Markers panel, while the video continues to play on in the Source panel.
3. I type my notes into the Markers panel and hit Enter, or CTRL+Enter, which returns focus to the Source panel.
This would allow me to quickly build a list of markers and notes about a clip or sequence without ever stopping and without once touching my mouse (unless I get behind and need to backup). Currently, the only time I really get behind is when clicking on a window and not realizing that focus was not given to that window, so that when I hit "M" again, for example, I don't actually create a new marker, but rather add the letter "M" to my most recent Marker note.
All of this seems a very common task for anyone who works in reality TV, or even event videography. Who's with me? Can this be done already? If not, I'll submit a feature request. How would you make this feature better?

How to make site search module work?

Hi guys

I had insert a site search module but anyhow when i search for any query and click the Go button, it will go the searchresult page but nothing get displayed.
I do had placed a {module_searchresults} in the page content area of searchresult page.
How I populate by search result page?

Andy make sure you index (re-index)your site
Modules > Site Search > Re- Index button
If site is a sample site ( demo mode ) I am not sure if it will index with new changes to the way demo sites works. Give it a try it may be ok internally, but wont index with S E unless live site

Is there a way to make keyboard text shortcuts work better?

For example: omw = On my way!
On iOS these work accross the board, but on OS X they only seem to work on certain applications. Such as TextEdit, but have limited or no use in other applications. They work ok in the URL bar in Safari, but try to use them in a text field (such as the one I'm typing in now) and they don't work. It's especially irritating when I try to log into a website, and I can't use my custom shortcut for my email address. I can easily do this on iOS, but not OS X.
Is there any way I can get text shortcuts to behave better on OS X, or is this a hopeless dream...
If you don't know how to access them, it's:
System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Text (OS X)
General -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts (iOS)
It's great that they sync accross both platforms, but it's pointless if I can't use them on properly on OS X.

When I go to sites and on facebook it says I need to download adobe flash 11. Even when I do it dows not work. what is happening? All other search engines work.

I can not access my games or anything on facebook when using firefox as it tells me to download flash 11. I have downloaded it and still not working.

Adobe Bridge's search engine is not good at all. How Can I improve it?

Adobe Bridge's search engine is Horrible! Is there any plugins or setting tweaks to make the search engine better? When I search for "woosh" in bridge under my SFX folder it comes up with 10 results. When I do the same search using windows explorer it comes up with over 100 woosh sounds. And I'm searching the exact same location for both searches. I've noticed that if the file name is written "Woosh_17" or "Woosh17" or anything where there is no space after the key word, bridge will not find it. Is there anything I can do to make bridge's search engine work better?

Unless your iPhone is jailbroken, there is no spyware on it. There is no way for spyware to be downloaded or installed. You don't really explain why you think you do. As far as I can see, the Fortinet app is just an app providing information about their services - it isn't performing any functions on the phone itself. Not clear what relevance you think the Norton security on your computer has to do with it.
You might want to do something about that bug that is extracting all the punctuation from your writing though.....

Just just to make sure, you do not see something like this when you try to do a search in Safari?
Try clearing Safari in Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and data. Then close Safari. Double tap the home button and drag the mini Safari window up toward the top of the screen in the multitasking display in order to close the app. Now reboot the iPad. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple Logo appears on the screen.
Try Safari again.
The Spotlight Search feature on the iPad search) no longer searches the web, that is simply the way that Spotlight works now. Sort of a backwards move IMO but somewhat typical of Apple these days.

Most search engines are not working, only Google Search works and I get 404 file not found error when clicking the links.

I have been trying virus killers, malware software from microsoft, I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it, I used the option to change all my options to the basic default installed options, I am able to search without problems using Internet Explorer on all search engines, Google Search engine works in firefox browser; but all the links give the 404 file not found error. Links from my Gmail account do not work either...giving me the 404 error. Firefox is much faster than Internet explorer however, this link problem makes me wonder if firefox is really any good.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

i won't spoil the surprise. but once you see what comes up,
answer me this:
i've been asking a lot about how google and search engines
work, and i have a better idea than i used to. but this page does
not (at least nowhere i could find) contain the word "failure"
ANYWHERE. so how did they get it to come up first in the search?
It must be an inside conspiracy!!!

Contribution points display and search not working in Safari 5?

Hi all,
Are the contribution points display and SDN search not working for everyone else in Safari 5 or is it just me?
Chrome 5 and Firefox 3.6 (all on Mac OS X 10.6) seem to be working fine.

Search Engine Maybe APPLE?

These little known facts about Google can hurt Apple i think.
1.Google is one of the most powerful companies a multimillion dollar empire to say the least could one day supreme leaders.
2. Googles homepage loads the fastest out of any search engine,I will agree but does it sound like to me a Challenge I think so???
3.Google has 2 million searches in a second, why couldn't apple beat that by doubling that?
4. Google owns Youtube, android where as apple well they hold their self so why shouldn't they create a video page such as like youtube?
My point being Google is great and all I use it as my search engine because its plain jane but what I don't understand is why apple hasn't created a Search Engine 10x better then google because in my eyes nothing beats an APPLE? Apple a day keeps the doctor away they say well I believe that when I don't have to buy Norton security or any of that bull crap, once again why don't Apple create a virus protected Search Engine yeah I know nothing is perfect but a safe search engine would be awesome for them sorry microsoft users lol. Apple you should create a Search Engine Be the number one You are.

Meta Tag or Search Engine related?

Most SE results only search and show what's in the
Description or Title meta tags. Do I need to do something specific
where the search engine will search the CONTENT of the pages,
rather than what's in the Meta tags, or is this just a trait of how
some search engines work? Thanks!
