Make signatures more clear

Hi Board Mods,
It would be nice if users signatures were a little more obviously separated from their forum posts. Currently it's hard to tell what's part of the post and what's part of the signature unless you read multiple posts from the same person.

You should be able to do that by following this procedure:
Reply to a message like this one.
In the text editor, type your signature line and then customize it by font style and color.
Open the HTML tab. Click Ctrl a to select all, then Ctrl c to copy.
Paste the HTML code into notepad.
Delete your reply comments in the text editor and do not post - hit Cancel.
Then go to "My Settings" > "Personal Information" and paste the HTML code into the signature box.
Scroll to the bottom and click "Save".

What kind of document is that and how bad does it look?
Is it a PDF file or an image file (JPG, PNG, TIFF) or something else?
If you can extract it as an image then you can try to improve the contrast or gamma with an image editor or use other filters in such a program. It may not be possible to do much about this if the quality is really bad.

Audio has ecko from sound system how do I lesson to make sound more clear

Video at an event where person was using a sound system. The venue was an indoor riding ring. There is ecko from the sound system. How do I lessen this using the audio effects? tks sarah

Unfortunately, even with a program like Adobe Audition, there is not much that you can do about this. It is the ambience from the arena.
Now, you might look into using a Compression VST and some EQ, to minimize it. I do not believe that PE has either of these by default, but it can use many VST plug-ins. I'd look here and see what they have. You will have to experiment to see which ones work with PE. If they do not, I *think* that Audacity will accept VST plug-ins. I know that PrPro and Audition both do.

ICal almost impossible to see the text. How I can make it more clear?

My iCal application comes with text and design so faint that it is almost impossble to read dates.

Have same problem, new to mac, all happy with moving away from outlook for email and iCal fine in all respects except if a i cant see the numbers the whole excercise has been a waste of time and i am on the verge of moving back to outlook.
I really prefer iCal's simplicity but why oh why ! can i not just darken the font !!!!!

Can I make Siri understand me more clearly?

Often when I ask Siri questions she doesn't understand what I'm saying, as in like she thinks I said something else.
Is there anyway to make her understand or hear me more clearly? I talk loud enough and don't slur my words so I don't understand what the problem is!!

Make sure the mic hole is clear and unobstructed. It is the little hole on the back by the camera lens

I just thought the worst of my problems were over with the last update to FF 3.6.8. It was working fine so far since the update, but now just crashed on me after my first game online today. Details:

Ok, I had 2 tabs open, one this site and the other my facebook site. Closed FB tab, refreshed this tab. Computer went to blue screen that read: "Windows has detected a problem and closed to protect your computer... Beginning dump of physical memory." I shut down computer via power button, and rebooted. No crash report box came up after reboot, so I don't have any further info for you on that one.

I think there may be more to this question than you say.
If your PDF page is say, 8 x 12 inches, and you found a way to scale it to 25%, changing it to 2 x 3 inch, shrinking everything on the page to quarter size - wouldn't it look exactly the same on the iPhone? It's just going to be the same as zooming.
Or were you hoping for something more like in Word, where changing the page size keeps everything the same size and spreads it over more pages? That isn't something you can do.

Make pacman more verbose?

Is there a way to make pacman more verbose in showing what packages are being installed or updated?
For example, when doing a system update, you get a long list of packages that will be downloaded and installed. Most of them are packages you already have, but some may be new packages, pulled in as a new dependency of something else. I would like to more easily see if a package is a new install or an update, and what is causing the new packages to be installed.
I used to use FreeBSD, and it's ports system did this. You do a system update, and it would list all of the packages to be installed, one per line. Each line indicated whether it was an update or a new install, if it was an update it showed the old -> new version numbers, and if it was a new install it showed what package depended on it.
I haven't been able to find a way to make pacman do this, though I would be happy to be proven wrong. I've toyed with the idea of getting my hands dirty and writing some pacman patches to add this as an option, but I'd like to see if there are other solutions other people know about.

How do you make the resolution clearer in Acrobat documents?

I scanned in documents into pdf files inorder to be able to read them from the computer. But parts of the document are not clear and hard to read. I figured out how to get higher resolution by converting the document to word. But when it converted there were lots of typos and the format had changed. So I was wondering if there is anyway to make the resolution higher, or just make the document clearer overall, without converting it?
Any suggestions would be helpful!

Cannot make an automatic clearing with F.13

Hi,
I'm trying to make an automatic clearing using F.13, but there's a document that cannot be cleared - after performing the transaction, this document appears in the section "no clearing" inside Update run" Additional Log. On Update run" Error Log the message is "KI 222 Cost center xxx does not exist on 01.04.2011. I'm performing the step in the production run.
If anyone could help me, it would be great.

I think cost centers are coming into picture because of exchange rate gain or loss accounts that are maintained in transaction OB09. In OB09 you would maintain GL Accounts for exchange rate loss or gain for the clearing accounts. Check the P&L Accounts maintained here for the account you are trying to clear first. Then look at KA03 and see if there is any cost center maintained. If there is no cost center there, you can check in transaction OKB9 if there is any automatic account assignment maintained. If there is a cost center here, you can go and check the validity periods in KS02 or KS03 and maintain the correct validity periods.

I got this code to play some audio clips and it works alright. The only issue is that when I call the play method it lags the rest of my game pretty badly. Is there anything in the play method you guys think could be moved to the constructor to make it more efficient?

I don't know much about the guts of flex, but I assume it's
based on Java's design etc.
Storing event.target.selectedItem in an objet should not be
anymore efficient than calling event.target.selectedItem. The objet
will simply be a pointer of sorts to event.target.selectedItem. At
no point in the event.target.selectedItem call are you doing a
search or something, so storing the result will not result in any
big savings.
Now, if you were doing something like
array.findItem(something) 4 times, then yes, it would be to your
advantage to store the data.
Keep in mind that storing event.target.selectedItem in an
object will probably break bindings....that may or may not be a
problem. Objet doesn't support binding. There is a subclass of
Object that does, but I forget which.
Just a suggestion based on my knowledge of how data is stored
in an object oriented language...this may not be the case in
flex.

Make sizes more accurate?

This script should make a rectangle the same size as the artboard.
However if the artboard is 210mm wide the rectangle ends up being 210.002mm, is there any way to make this more precise?

In regards to the artboard size, if I create a new docment with with the width of 595.276pt (displays as 595.28pt) the artboardRect gives: 595.2802734375
If I then go to the artboard options and re-enter the 595.276pt the artboardRect gives the same as above.
But then...
If I use the artboard options to make the width 100pt (The artboardRect gives 100.00048828125) and then go back again to 595.276pt the artboardRect gives the almost accurate result 595.27587890625
Theres something weird going on there
1) Why is the artboardRect not accurate to the Art Board size?
2) Why does going to 100pt then 595.276pt give a more accurate rect than entering 595.276 on its own?

I tried to get it to work for the dssmTitle by adding another

The mouseover function is fine the way it is. It's how it
behaves during the slideshow that is a little wierd - it just sits
on the first story. It would be great if it switched to each story
like the small nav at the bottom highlights to each corresponding
nav to its story during the slideshow.
