Make text of inactive tabs visible

When a tab goes inactive, the text of the tab disappears, and I am left with only the logo. This is annoying in and of itself, but I routinely have a couple of tabs with a FIle, rather tha a web URL, and there's no logo for these, so they simply disappear into the background.
Couple that with the (default?) absence of any distinguishing features of inactive tabs, and the thing might just as well be closed!
Not really a Luddite (well, not that big a Luddite;-) but this seems to me to be traceable back to the Microsoft fascination with low-saturation pastel colours, which are very hard for those of us of a certain age to see. Can I urge that your user testing include people with diminished vision, so that you can hear early, and LOUD about the undesirable effects of some of these changes?
Browser configuration is beginning to resemble the US Tax Code - mostly unintelligible, and seemingly designed to perpetuate the priviliged position of a very few.

It seems like the shortest distance between my two points is to jiggle the Classic Restorer settings. Alternative Curved Tabs worked. Thanks for the help. Now if only there were some documentation to read to explain all these things proactively.....

The latest Firefox version won't expand to make text and images more visible on my 32" screen, although I have tried to adjust the advanced Windows appearance settings in the same way that has worked in previous versions of Firefox.

How to Make a Seeded Tab Visible (AllData Tab in iExpenses) in OAF Page

we have the below mentioned Tab's in OIE_AUD_AUDIT_PAGE, all these tabs are seeded one
1. Expenses Tab
2. Exceptions Tab
3. Allocations Tab
4. Tax Tab
5. AllData Tab
6. EmployeeNotes Tab
7. AuditorNotes Tab
these are all the seeded tabs, here except AllData tab all other tabs are visible in Auditor page now all i need is to unhide the existing seeded AllData tab.
Even i tried enable this tab through personalization but the rendered value of this tab is already set to " TRUE " but still it is invisible.
Please help me to make this tab visible.

Hi, How can I get the text in a large text field to start at the top left of the field rather than at the center of the field? In addition, may one know how to make text wrap in the form as well?

To set the Text alignment properties use "Paragraph" pallet you can make it visible by selecting Window>>Paragraph or Shift+F5
And to allow text wrapping you need to select "Allow Multiple Lines" checkbox under "Object" pallet and "Field" tab. You can make Object pallet visible by selecting Window>>Object or Shift+F7.

How can I remove the transparency of inactive Tabs in Firefow 30 on Windows 8.1?

In Firefox 30 in Windows 8.1, the transparency of the Tab bar is strong so that windows title bars behind it are nearly fully visible. This looks awful and at times makes hitting the right tab or the closing X very difficult. How can this be solved?
And no, I do not want to install some special theme or Addon or hack the UI's CSS if it can be avoided. I just want my browser to work out of the box.

Do you really tell me that I'd have to install an extra extenion just to be able to do what should be a basic feature (reading the titles of inactive tabs). On every single Win 8 Machine that I own or mange? No way. This is not a solution, this is barely a workaround.

How do I left justify the text in the tabs of a JTabbedPane.

In 1.3.1 this used to work by supplying an HTML string with <div align="left"> but when I run with 1.4.1 this is now broken and I get center justification.
Does anybody know a way to get the text in the tabs to be left justified.

First, I found while using JTabbedPane that the "standard" behavior is to allow to a tab the exact space needed to display the tab text. Hence with this behavior, there is actualy no difference of "left" or "center" aligned text. So I assumed that you found a way or another to make your tabs wider than the "string width"...
Here is a solution:
You can override the TabbedPaneUI class and ajust the "layoutLabel()" method. Here is the code..

I had the same query today and finally found the answer.
In order to change the title text or description of the "Customer Data" tab in ME23N, etc. you need to define a new text symbol in program SAPLXM06. The text symbol must be number 111 for the PO data. Make sure you define this text symbol in the language you are using when viewing the PO. I had issues with this as the original language of object SAPXM06 is not my logon language.
The standard code which picks up this text is in function module MEGUI_BUILD_PO_ITEM_PLUGIN. I could not find any documentation around this functionality.

Hi,
As a work around create a warehouse SelectWH and map the mandatory acoounts as a On hold account(in chart of accounts).So there will not be any posting on this account.
And set this warehouse as default warehouse for all users.
So without selecting the appropriate warehouse the user can not add the document.
I think this might resolve you issue.

Tabs are not responding in FF4. I cannot switch between tabs and the text of the tab is completely garbled.

The text of the tabs run over each other and are completely unreadable. I cannot move the tabs or click between them. The only thing I can do is to close the tabs which kind of negates the point of having tabs.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Can I make text invisible?

Back in the days, I used invisible text format to make editing and organizing comments in MS Word. I used them like headers, but they didn't have to be there. When I printed the doc, I turned "invisible text off" and the visible text formatted itself (the space used by invisible text—whether a line or paragraph—closed up).
It was a very handy way to organize large docs, by using headings, but not having to delete them when printing.
I don't see a way to do that in Pages. Did I miss something?

Not the same thing, it still occupies space.

Comments do not directly shrink main text. Only the screen view changes to accomodate the comments. They need to be turned off when printing however.

how can i make a button inactive after i clik on it ? I need it becasue i have one button which play my symbol (made with this nice course https://blogs.adobe.com/edge/2012/07/18/tutorial-leveraging-independent-symbol-timelines/) but it's not working when the button is in the symbol where there is animation, it's only working when the buttons is a symbol on the stage and on the top of all over symbols, so when i clik on it works and play the symbol that i want but after is still active so i can't place another button at the exact same place of the first because it will play the first button and i need to put 20 buttons, anyone can help me please ? My buttons is just an empty rectangle so i don't talk about turn of the visibility but turn of th "activity"

Do other devices now connect?

Change inactive tab dimming, darkness

This began to be addressed in "Can color be added back to inactive tabs?" but was closed with in a week with no solution, though "130 have this problem," as using the Stylish extension was the only solution but which really is not the solution all all.
The short question is where in about:config or elsewhere can the background tabs be restored to have the same level of brightness as the active ones. The solution to make the active ones more identifiable would be to change the color of them, which i could do with the Colorful Tabs extension before FF. V. 29, or the color and the font posture, which i could do with the TabMixPlus extension before FF. V. 29, but not now.
I am using the Nuvola theme as a replacement for the NOIA4 theme, which i think was the best and more customizable theme ever offered, but no longer works under FF 29, and the author gave up.
While it may seem to make sense to devs that dimming the background tabs in order to more easily ID the active tab, that seems to presume that only a few tabs are open, and the default theme is used.
However, I usually have many many tabs open due to forums I post on and research and other pages i want to get back or often check, and use TabMixPlus to enable multiple tab rows, and also Colorful Tabs for better identification. I see these as the 2 most useful extensions, along with Session Manager.
I still see Firefox as the best browser by far for power users due to the extensions the community offers , and am sorry to see them becoming more like Chrome, while supporting what really is not compatible with design.

Thanks, but as i had said, i have a theme, Nuvola, and also that using Stylish is not the solution. That theme is not as compact as Nuvola, which is attached, along with a previous 20+ FF ver. shot with the NOIA4 theme
TabMixPlus already had the solution it seems the devs were aiming at, that of differentiating btwn active and inactive tabs, which was to make the active one have a certain color and font style, while still allowing the rest to be seen clearly. But except for the font posture, that option does not work anymore.
Classic theme restorer also enables changing the font color and attributes of the active tab, but the color of the active tab will not change, nor does that work with Colorful tabs though it enables different colors on tabs .
Often i am looking for a different tab to switch to, and now it is like having a certain shoe highlighted in a dim closest, but the rest are not as clearly seen as one would like.
This is not a big deal, but i use FF a lot, and keeping many tabs open and quickly accessible helps with speed. I had to make a userChrome.css file with a script the Nuvola theme dev provided to get rid of the default read heart on every tab that did not have its own favicon, and thought maybe there was a way to get my bright tabs back.

Make Text Fit in Final Cut Pro 7

In Final Cut Pro 7, is there a way to make text fit properly on your screen without manually hitting enter on each line? I’ll try to explain myself: I frequently use screens with a lot of writing. I write the text in the Controls tab of a text box. If I write a long sentence, the words will run off the screen even if I change the size of the font to a smaller one. I can stop that from happening by hitting enter midway through a sentence; the remainder of the sentence then moves to the line below. Since I’m writing a lot, I have to repeat this process a lot. It is kind of a guess and check procedure because I have to see how the screen looks after I hit enter each time. Can I do something so that Final Cut Pro 7 automatically moves text to the next line (just like it does when I’m typing in Word)?

For best results, don't use FCP's built-in text generators. Instead, use the Boris Generators which came bundled with FCP. For static text, use Boris 3D. You can format the text just about anyway you want.
