Make the Folder tab scroll control wider!

Inexplicably, the Bridge CS3 vertical scroll bar control for the folders tabs is maybe half the width of the bar provided for content scrolling. This narrow width with no safe area next to it makes it very easy for me to overshoot the scrollbar and accidentally drag and drop a folder into another - something that happens so quickly and without visual feedback that it's easy to overlook until you can't find a folder you've accidentally moved.
I've done this several times with Bridge and now that I'm hypersensitive to it, I use the undo move function to undo the damage if I see I've slipped with my stylus. But it's still easy to move a folder without noticing and it's annoying no matter what the workaround.

That's all good and fine, but I'm not a programmer.
I don't know how to edit a css file in a theme.
How do you do that?
Can you give me step by step directions?

Accessing server under the Folder Tab

I have some users who are on a PC using CS3, CS4 and CS5. They are all having the same issue. When they access the Mac server (which houses our image database) it does not appear in their listing under the Folder Tab. Now they have other servers that show up, but not this one.
Oddly enough, sometimes it does show up but most of the time it doesn't. We've gone through and mapped a network drive - no luck.
Any suggestions?

If you reboot Bridge does the server show?
If so, you probably have "start Bridge at login" checked. Bridge starts before the computer recognizes the server.

With Panorama/TabCandy, when you have some "App Tabs" isolated into a group then open a normal tabs included into antoher group. Clicking on an "App Tab" makes the normal tabs disappear.

Yes right click on a toolbar, the customize option allows ordinary or small icons.

You can use a custom style rule to do this, if there aren't any nice themes that have this feature.
Try this. Open:
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Open Containing Folder"
Your active Firefox profile folder will be displayed. Double-click the chrome sub-folder.
Do you have a filed named '''userChrome.css''' ? If not, right-click, choose New > Text Document and change the name to userChrome.css (note that the name must end with css and not TXT).
Open the '''userChrome.css''' file in a text editor such as Notepad or Wordpad, then paste the following rule into the file and save it:

scrollbar[orient="vertical"] slider {
width: 25px !important;
height: 25px !important;

You might need to restart Firefox to see the effect. If that isn't wide enough, you can increase the width/height from 25 pixels to a larger measurement. What will work best for you really depends on your screen resolution.

Moving mail to folders - is it possible to type the name of the folder, vs scrolling?

Apologies in advance if there is already an answer to this question in the forums; I searched with every combination of the subject I could think of...
Context: my iPhone 4 syncs with an IMAP mail server. I have lots of folders on the server, and I can see all of them on the iPhone. I know how to use the "file" button at the bottom of an email, to move the message to a folder.
Question: is there a way to "open" the keyboard during the filing process, so that I can type the name of the folder, rather than scrolling through the folders?

For someone looking for help you sure have a funny way about you. Trying to narrow down where and under what circumstances a problem occurs is called troubleshooting. Showing that mail's imap works with gmail and google should al least give you pause to reconsider your out and out assertion that the problem has to be solely with mail and perhaps lead you to look at the possibility of an issue with the interaction between mail and godaddy. Just because someone who answers the phone at godaddy says the problem has to be in mail don't make it so.
You know were all just users here, no one is getting paid. Those of us who try and help users like yourself are doing it to give something back to the community. You don't like my help, fine don't take it but check the attitude at the door.

In TC, goto attributes and set 'Fixed columns' as 2. This will fix the first 2 columns.

How to make the Contents tab of CHM help be opened by default?

I use RoboHelp HTML 7.0.3.001 and generate Microsoft HTML Help as the output file of my project. Each time I open generated CHM file, the only default topic is displayed. Then I should click Show button on the toolbar to view the Contents tab containing folders and other topics...
It seems to me, in the previous versions of the RoboHelp (may be in x5 version), there was a check box in Project Settings that allowed me to open TOC panel when the help was opened.
Could this be configured somewhere in RoboHelp 7.0.3.001? I can't find an appropriate option and hope for your help

Hi there
Indeed you may control this. You do it via the Window Properties. So click View > Pods > Project Set-up. Then expand the Windows folder and double-click the CHM window to see the Windows Properties.
You should be interested in the Tri-pane Options area. Ensure that the option Hide Nav Pane on Startup isn't enabled.
If you find it's not enabled, try enabling it and dismissing the dialog to re-write the values. Then open the dialog again and clear the option.
If this fails, you may simply need to create a new window and assign it in the Single Source Layout recipe.

It is kind of strange that the files are not being overwritten. If you publish to a local folder and upload with an FTP app you should be able to set this to over write the old files.

How to make the new tabs to open the same URL as the startup page?

I was wondering if it's possible to configure the Firefox in such a way that the new tabs open exactly the same URL that is typed in the Options. I tried to set browser.newtab.url to about:home but it gives me Firefox Google custom page instead of the startup page that I've set in the Options. Another way I tried is to set the browser.newtab.url value in about:config to the same URL as the startup page URL, but then if I change the URL in the options the new tab URL is not changed. So the question is whether it's possible to make the Firefox read the URL that is used for the startup page and go there when opening a new tab.
