Make the Forum Search Tool useful

The current Forum Search Tool is nearly useless. Please add the following features to make it a functional tool:
1. Logical operators - i.e. allow the following searches: cow AND chicken, cow OR chicken, cow NOT chicken (or -chicken)
2. Quoted text to search for exact phrases - i.e. allow the following search: "my chicken says moo"
3. Results with date ranges - i.e. allow the following search: weird chicken, Results before 04/01/2012 or after 04/01/10 or between 04/01/2010 and 04/01/2012
4. Mix it up! "My chicken says moo" AND "purple chicken feed" -cow, results after 12/23/2012
5. Search in one forum only - i.e. allow the following search: "chicken says moo" ONLY in the "Farm Animal Behavior" forum
6. Search ONLY in posts (answers and/or questions) made by a particular user - i.e. allow the following search - "purple chicken feed" posted by user "Farmer Brown" ONLY
7. Do NOT include variations of words that you "think" might be "helpful". Right now a search for the word "running" yields results that contain the following words: running, run, runs. Weeding through all the useless
"helpful" results is a huge waste of time and makes it difficult in the extreme to actually find "relevant" results. HINT: There might be an actual REASON why we want to search for "running" and
NOT "run" or "runs".
8. Please make the default operator AND instead of OR when more than one search word is used. Adding more terms to a search tool should produce FEWER, MORE REFINED RESULTS instead of MORE, IRRELEVANT RESULTS. Very few people ever want
to search on a single word only. This is especially true in a technical reference environment!
9. Sometimes I WANT a word spelled exactly as I typed it. If I get results that I do not want because I misspelled a word, I can just retype the search. If you FORCE me to use your spelling, this makes my search completely useless. Please
give us MORE options rather than less!
10. Remove search result highlighting. We don't need the words we just searched for being blasted at us in highlighted bold.

Searching in one forum is currently possible, you just need to make sure that you only have a single forum selected in the left rail:

Who makes the nicest, easiest to use Flash website design software?

Please forgive the beginner's question. I would like to build
a flash site like

easy to use Flash template. You get what you pay for so my first
choice isn't something for free but a 30-day free trial version
would be nice.
What I like best about

great menus and that pictures continually reload in interesting
ways.

you are in a catch 22 - you don't have time to learn flash -
yet you need to build an entire site
immediately - you can't - sure you can download a template
that is similar but if this forum is any
proof, you almost need more flash knowledge trying to
decipher most templates in order to edit them

non-flash users who purchased templates
and have no clue how to edit them. Often times it is hard for
an educated flash user to
reverse-engineer a FLA made by somebody else - Flash
documents are blank canvases that can be setup
a myriad ways by different users making the same thing - some
developers are more organized than
others - most templates are not organized but rather thrown
together for a quick profit.
You will simply need to learn enough flash to understand how
it works or hire somebody to edit the
template for you.

My kids downloaded a video game and it appears the Nation searh toolbar was bundled with it. Now it has highjacked Safari and all my Google searches end up with Nation responses.

Forum Search Tool - SQL Developer - Wrong location?

In the Forum Search - Category or Forum, the SQL Developer appears in Database division.
I think he should appear in the Developers Tools division....

Another way of getting to the correct forum is to use a feature's portal. Might be helpful to know that route when unsure of which forum.
For example, in this case you could
start at Oracle Technet homepage portal
go to either
- Database product portal OR
- Developer tools portal
both will point to the SQL Developer portal
which points to the SQL Developer
This is simply to indicate that there are several different, legitimate, paths to a forum - including through the Dev Tools as well as through the Database area.
My point being that no matter where we put the forum, basic taxonomy principals indicate that someone will have a legitimate argument to move it somewhere else. Thus fulfilling the basic human need to require politics in any and every area of existence. <g>

Can I make the spotlight search on my iweb website search through comments

I just recently created a website using iweb. I was wondering if anyone knows how to make the spotlight search on my blog page search within the comments of that page or the whole site? That would be the best way, but I would also consider generating an internal search engine for the site through google, ect... if anyone has any information on either off these topics I would greatly appreciate it. Spotlight won't do, .mac blog comments are stored on server side.
Spotlight only works when things get indexed and spotlight can't index them.

Where did you purchase this. The US phones do not come with the SIM removal tool anymore. They haven't for some time now. I'm not even sure it comes with any of the devices anymore. You can just straighten out a paper clip and do the same thing.

Improvements to the forum search

I often need to search for hints on the jdeveloper forum.
I would like to suggest some improvement to the forum search
1) when i search with more than one word i would like to see only the results in which all the words appear, or at least to see first the results with all words and then the others
2) in the search results every thread should appear only one time, in my opinion

If this is what you want, hold the ~ key on your keyboard while dragging with the tool.
If you want spaced copies of the completed line, use the Transform Effects from the Effects menu.

No one here works for Apple.
Go to System Preferences > Trackpad > Scroll & Zoom, and uncheck Scroll direction: Natural.

How can we turn off auto-correction in the forum search?

This recent auto-correction in the forum search is driving me nuts. It is way too overzealous. There is no way to win the fight!
Example:
Try to search for "voight" (the famous lineshape).
It seaches for "right" instead
There is a small link to actually search for "voight" so we press that.
So far so good.
Now I want to limit searching for only my posts, so I enter "altenbach" on the left.
Now the search term switches back to "right" .... grrrrr!!!!! (see video)
Again, there is a small link to actually search for "voight" so we press that. (see video)
Now we are back to #5, because the "by altenbach" has disappeared again. (see video)
Repeat steps 5..8 forever. No escape to get what we actually want.
In the video you see how the "by altenbach" disappears once we click on "search instead for voight".

I am asking this question again, because upon checking the forum for a solution I was shocked and appalled by the severe lack of grammar, punctuation and spelling I encountered while reading answers to this question. Obviously several people where to busy to actually read the question being asked and simply answered with instructions on how to change the default search engine for the search bar. SO, here I am asking the same question, why? because it still has not been answered and I myself still CANNOT find this setting anywhere. I use multiple browsers for different tasks, Chrome is KICKING the .... out of you guys Mozilla, why did you ever let your self get taken in by Micro-crack (Microsoft), if I recall correctly the inception of this program was partly motivated by the need for an alternative to the idiosyncrasies and vulnerability of Microsoft Internet Explore. This really feels like a HUGE step backwards, I would love to see a return to the days when Mozilla Firefox was and inspiration to developers and techs everywhere. My search box in the upper right side of the screen changed from Google to Ebay without intentional action on my part and I have been unable to find a way to get rid of the ebay search tool and get google back.

When I first went to do a search using the search box on the right side of the toolbar I noticed it had a different icon. It was so so small I did not recognize it as Ebay until I hit search and it was then I realized my search tool had somehow been changed. The only use my wife had made of the computer since the prior evening was to view an email from the president of a local charity sending an updated roster of officers. I did look at the user profile file and saw that it showed the profile changed as of 7:46 am which was when my wife looked at the email. I tried deleting the file but firefox would not run without it so I restored the file. Our internet security program is Avast.

The Method I want use is a "Search by Key" method, which I already testet in Composite Application and it has worked.
But wenn I try to add the CAF Model in Web Dynpro and Apply the template in Component Controller, there was no input value there to be selected but only the return values. How can I make the method work?
