Make videos play in my music library

I have many music videos in my "Movie" library. I would like for them to play in my "Music" library. Can this be done?

Oh, solved it myself! Right-click on each video in the Movie library. Choose "Get Info". Go to "Options" Tab. Change "Media Type" from Movie to Music Video. The video then shows up in my music library, able to be shuffled/played just like any regular piece of music. Pretty cool!

This is an error that I am just after spotting today. When I navigate through my music collection and through the various options?on the Creative Vision M 30GB the message "Select music to play from the music library" appears for a few seconds on screen.
Can figure out what is causing the error, I am using just over 50% of the devices capacity. The problem suggests that the device is having problems keeping up with my selections. How can I play my entire music library in MediaSour

I have a very simple but essential question regarding the Creative MediaSource Player. I would like to be able to simply click a track in my music library and have it play from there through the rest of my library until I tell it not to. However, short of dumping my entire libary into a playlist (which makes my computer upset) I do not see an option to do this.
Can anyone offer me help on this one? It seems so basic (iTunes works like this) and yet I can't find anything on it....

While backup up to a cloud service (iCloud, Google, Amazon, Microsoft OneDrive, ...) is possible, most people still seem to prefer using a suitable external drive for this. Even though iTunes Match provides a service to store your library online, its neither designed nor suitable as a reliable backup. A cloud backup is either going to be replicated to a local disc anyway, or would be far slower that physical storage for backup and retrieval - plus you might want or need to restore from a backup when your internet connection is down. Sufficient cloud storage for even a moderately large library is going to be expensive!

Unable to play songs in music library

When I try to play songs in my music library,it tells me it is unable to find orginal file for song. how do i correct this problem. there over 900 songs showing this problem at this time.

Use the iTunes command File > Add Folder to Library, and navigate to the folder containing the music.

How to make videos play only inside flash?

Hi.
i have encoded(converted) some video files through Adobe Media Encoder to f4v. and i play them inside flash, through a flvlplayback component.
I've placed the videos inside the same folder as my swf file.
is there anyway i can protect the videos to be shown only inside my swf file?
via the cue points and actionscript or something??
something like a code to be placed at the begining of the clip, and be checked inside my swf file (while loading the video, into the playback component). if the condition was confirmed, the video plays.
so that the video files don't play with other players outside my swf file..

i think the only way to add even a modest amount of protection is to use a streaming server.

Video plays great - no music.....

Any suggestions? I'm thinking its just a 'bad egg' - but thought I'd check the forums to see if anyone else has seen this....
I got an 80G, synched up with the new iTunes, added a couple movies, video podcast, and a few dozen cd's.
The movies & video podcast work great. The video is really amazing (I'm upgrading from a 4G - so ipod vid is new to me). Great color - no hangs, just works.
However - no music. I can see the songs, albums, artists, and get to the individual songs - but they do not play. They just sit there with the play button lit, the correct time of the song, but won't play. Also, the album covers are completely misarranged & wrong.
So. . . any suggestions? Or do I return it.....

Whenever I play a video the flash player logo shows and I have to click it first. How can I make videos play automatically?

Every time I go to play a video the F symbol appears and I have to click it each time to play the video. Alternatively I have to right click the page and go into "no script" and allow that particular page. This didnt use to happen until recently. Running windows vista Firefox 3.6.

If you use extensions like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
You need to check the (global) settings in NoScript to see how you can unblock Flash content.

Confusion over script and how to make video play

Hi folks,
I have created a SWF file that includes video, audio and
text. All three parts work fine when I play the SWF file, although
I would like to know what code I should put to be able to stop the
audio from playing.
But my main problem is once I have the SWF file uploaded to
my site. The audio and text part works fine, but the video of a
robot comedy performance will not play. I am not sure why this is,
but when I uploaded the file to Dreamweaver there was a Script file
called AC_RunActiveContent.js that automatically downloaded along
with a file called .htaccess. I uploaded both these files too, but
the video part of the SWF file still would not play. I have tried
the SWF file in Mozilla, IE7 and Flock, but no luck. I also tried
pasting the AC_RunActiveContent.js into my Dreamweaver page and
uploaded that, but that did not work either. I just got all the
code showing. For those who want to see the SWF file for themselves

For those curious about the AC_RunActiveContent.js code, I
will paste below. I am not sure if this is Actionscript or not. If
it is, I do not know which Actionscript it is.
But I have absolutely no idea what the problem is, or what I

give me. Keep explanation as simple as you can because I am not
terribly tech savvy.

Is it possible to make video play smoothly from a flash drive?

I know it's generally taboo to do just that. This is a special circumstance.
I want to know if there's a way to either format the drive, or export the video (or a combination of the two) in such a way that video stored on the drive can play smoothly without having to download the content at all?

Videos in Music Library

I just purchased the Deluxe Video Edition of "Straight Outta Lynwood" which includes 8 videos along with the 12 music tracks. Instead of showing up in the Movie Library, the videos appeared in the Music Library. I can't figure out how to transfer them to my Movie Library so they sync onto my iPod. Please help.

Can't get Itunes to play all the music in folder.

I have Vista and just put iTunes on it to use instead of Media Player. My problem is if I select more then 10 files to play or just hit the "Play All" button in the folder the files open in Media Player and not iTunes. These are .mp3 files which I have associated to iTunes. If I open a single file it opens in iTunes and I am not given a warning that iTunes is the default player. Can anyone help me figure out how to make iTunes play all the music I select without having to open it and import it each time. I have over 300 CDs on the computer and some times I just want to go to the folder in explorer and launch all the music from that CD.

I think you just need to figure out the tricks to getting the album you want up in iTunes. It is very easy actually.
First, if you turn on View Browser (you can't be in the cover flow view to see the browser) you get three windows at the top of your library: Genre, Artist, Album. When you pick anything from any of those windows, it immediately narrows down the library view to things that meet that choice (e.g. if you pick U2 then the library will only show tracks with Artist = U2.
In addition, those three boxes will narrow down to only show what fits with whatever you type in the search field. Meaning, normally if you have thousands of songs and hundreds of artists, scrolling through the little artist box to find that one artist or the album box to find that one album is kind of tedious. But say you want to listen to The Clash's "London Calling". In the search box you can just type in Clash or London (or both) and the three Browser boxes (and your library view) will quickly narrow down to only tracks where Clash and London appear. Likely the Album window will now only show a few choices. Click the "London Calling" one and your library now only shows that album. Now you can play just that album. Of course it sounds like more when you type it all out, but to open iTunes, type "Clash London" then click on the London Calling album takes all of about three seconds, likely quicker than it is to dig through folders in your hard drive.
Sorry, but I don't have any answers for your Windows association problem with trying to load more than 10 tracks, but I think you may find the above method to be much easier to navigate.

Zen Micro Music Library Info Era

I got a 4GB Zen Micro for Christmas two years ago, and it worked great until it fell victim to the fatal headphone jack problem. I sent it in to Creative, and got a brand new 6GB player. I was ecstatic until I found out the new player wansn't recognized in the Creative Media Software. After a lot of e-mail correspondence with the Creative Support Team that ended with no helpful advice, I decided to see if my player was recognized in Windows Media Player. Sure enough, it did! I was so excited to download my music and use my mp3 player again. That was a few months ago, and it's worked very well. Until tonight. I was trying to dowload more music onto the player, hit copy to device, and the song started copying. It reached 99%, then the player said "There are no items on the CD or device." I checked the player, and sure enough, my Zen's screen read "Select music to PLAY from the music library." When I go to All Tracks in the Music Library, nothing is listed. But when I go to Now Playing, it says it is playing 72 of 00 songs. I plugged in the headphones and can hear music, so that's one good thing. But I can't tell what track is being played. In addition, my Windows Media Player won't recognize the Zen Micro any more.
I have a 6GB Zen Micro, am using a PC with Windows 98 SE, and WMP9. I've given up using the Creative Software because apparently my computer's too old to recognize the new software. HELP!!

If you're about to purchase a Zen Micro player, and you currently use the WMP0 program, you should consider upgrading your new player immediately to the newest beta "Plays for Sure" firmware program, which will allow you to transfer tracks directly from your computer's WMP0 Music Library to the Music Library of your new Zen Micro player. You can avoid all the confusion and problems of using the various Creative software programs as intermediaries...
If you do decide to interact directly with WMP0, then you can easily set up your playlists before you "synch" them over to the Zen Micro player, or you can set them up piecemeal on the player's software, after the songs have been transferred to the player's music library.
I have quite a bit of music from foreign sources, much of it not readily identified by the major tagging programs, so I make up my own tags. I use albums, genre, composer, and artist... but I also have playlists set up for "trumpets", "strings", "concertos", "sonatas", etc.
I upgraded to the new beta firmware when it was first released, and have had no major problems with it. If you can bypass ever having to deal with the Creative Media Source Player/Organizer programs, you'll avoid a lot of problems...
