Hi,
How do I make a mounted disk available to all users connect to the machine over AppleShare? Right now only admin users seem to be able to access those volumes.

YOu need to set up a share point for the volume or specific folders within the volume.
you can do so manually in netinfo or with a gui interface like Sharepoints by Hornware. ID reccommend the later if youre no looking for a bunch of fuss.

(1) Firefox's built-in post-crash page has not been a real HTML page for a long time (for example, from the time of Firefox 22, see: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/968212 Want to save LOTS of versions of "Restore Session.xht" from the "oops ..." page for later use]). If you had this working differently with Firefox 25, that might have been created by an extension.
You can check to see whether extensions are disabled or need an update on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. The disabled extensions cluster toward the bottom of the list. To poll for updates, use the "gear" button above the list and choose Check for Updates.
If you used the Reset feature (or Firefox automatically did a reset due to some problem during upgrading), you will need to reinstall missing extensions. The reset feature creates a folder on the desktop named Old Firefox Data. Do you have that folder? There may be data you can recover from it.
(2) There are many ways for history to get cleared, both internal to Firefox and external. Could you double-check your Privacy settings?

Hi Alex,
Though I have not worked using T.code SQVI, I had done the ABAP Query using "SAP Query". The procedure in it is in T.Code SQ03, we create a User Group and assign the users in the same, so that the users can access the Query. Hope this might help you. If you require I can send you the documentation on the same.

By default, all Applications are installed in /Applications. Those are available to all users. If you choose to install in your home Applications folder, they are only available to that user.
You can also control app usage with Parental Controls. If that is on, that my be why some cannot use certain apps.

Dreamweaver had this capability many releases ago, but it has been dropped, so it's no longer available.

How can I make addons available for enterprise users by an central service and forbid the installation from any other sources

in the company I´m working for it´s not possible to install add-ons by the Users . That´s what I´m going to change.
We use Firefox ESR 17 and Window 7.
I want to make add-ons available for everybody by integrating an internal central service. That is possible by customizing the "extension.webservice.discoverURL" to the server I´m talking about. The Problem is that nobody should be able to install add-ons from any other source, for example addons.mozilla.org, local media,...
Do you have an idea, how this problem can be solved?
Maybe there is a possibility by using the lockPref "xpiinstall.enabled false" in conjunction with a whitelist defining my Server?

Although with many hacks there could be some sort of workaround that advanced users may employ when attempting to circumvent the measures, such as the ability to use Firefox in safe-mode and then install add-ons, or even run a browser from a memory stick.

Make library available to multiple users on the same computer

I want to have the library available to more than one user on the same computer. The "share my music" option doesn't seem to help. I also tried running iTunes as the second user and setting the library file to the one I had created as the first user, but nothing happened. Any suggestions?

I need to make Skype available to other users set up on my (first) Mac... can't find help for this in the Help sys. I am a recovering PC user and new to Mac. I want to perform login management. I have spent over three hours trying to figure out how to get Skype visible to other users on this (home) Mac.

It is installed in neither of those locations. It is not in 'Harddrive/Applications/" or user folders. It appears to have installed it in the ROOT on the same level (in Finder) as "Macintosh HD." I logged into my primary Admin account and used the Skype defaults for installation.

Why won't they make iTunes for us Linux users?

There is a large community of Linux users. We have no ITunes nor anything that we can make purchases, upgrades, synch etc. Why won't Apple make iTunes available for ALL users. I keep an old desktop running Windows XP simply for iTunes. Is there a reason Linux users are ignored?

iTunes does not support Linux. However, Wine may allow you to run iTunes. But you may encounter errors and problems. http://www.winehq.org/

Only if when you install it you choose to make it available to all users. There is an option offered in the installation.
Otherwise it will install into just the installer's User account.

Been searching through discussion, I've found some advice about taking screen snapshot page-by-page > then send the pics from photo album to email. How to make local scenarios available to other users

I have an xcelsius file with a couple of saved scenarios. I export the file to PDF and send it out to users. The users are not able to see or load the scenarios. Is there a way to fix this?

Correct me if I am wrong but scenarios are saved in some obscure path somewhere on the user's desktop. Sending a PDF - regarless of whether the recipient has Adobe Reader whatever version of the full Acrobat 9 - will not make any difference: the end user needs to have the scenarios in the same path. Even then, I am not sure that it works. If you export exactly the same version of a dashboard and run it on the same pc where scenarios were saved with the last version of the dashboard, they are not available. The path to which scenarios are saved seems to be different with every dashboard (I have tested this but I would be happy to be proved wrong).
Saving scenarios is abosultely crucial to many dashboards. The fact that dashboards are not transparently persistent is an issue, for me, and it is something that I would very much like to explore as part of new features. For example, it would be good to be able to let the user select where scenarios are saved or at least have them saved somewhere that is relatively easy to find. But there are pitfalls with that kind of freedom: you cannot have a situation with two quite different dashboards trying to load in the same scenario. By definition, that cannot work.
Long subject but the bottom line is: you cannot do it, at least not without some major hassle, in my experience.
