Make website by iweb 09 but cannot run in PC IE8

Dear all, I'm a very new user to make website. since I make a website by iweb 09, it is very useful. but when i test it by PC IE8. it doesn't work? all the hyperlink was disappear. I'm so sad...... can anyone help me to solve this? many thanks

iCloud does not provide website hosting. You will need to find another website hosting service - there are many to choose from - and upload your site there. How you do this depends on what version of iWeb you have.
In order to upload your existing site in iWeb '09 and above:
Click on the name of the site in the sidebar: the publishing settings pane will open. Set 'Publish to' to 'FTP'. Enter the name of the site and a contact address (if desired).
In the 'FTP Server Settings' section you will need to know the server address (your hosting service can tell you that), and your username and password for that service. Your site will be published in a folder with its name at root level of the server, with an index.html file at root level (which will overwrite any index.html file which may be there already). The 'Directory/Path' field may need to include a path such as '/webspace/' or 'ht_docs/' - this is dependent on your hosting service and they should tell you this. If you want to publish within a folder you can add that to the path.
You can then click the 'Test connection' button so that iWeb can check that it can get access to your server space. You should enter the URL of the site in the 'URL' field so that rss feeds and internal links have the correct address.
To publish using an earlier version of iWeb:
From the File menu choose 'Publish to a folder'. You should create a folder somewhere convenient specifically for this and choose it when publishing to a folder: this folder should not contain anything else.
You now need an FTP program (FTP is the 'protocol' used for uploading) to upload the contents of the folder to your server.Cyberduck is free (donation requested): Transmit is $34 but I think better. You will need the server address (your hosting service can tell you that), and your username and password for that service. You can drag the contents of your folder to your webspace, or create a folder there and drag the contents to that if you prefer.
Some facilities that iWeb provided when hosted on MobileMe will not work on other servers: comments on weblogs and photos, password-protecting your site (some hosts may provide this), searching in the weblog, and a hits counter (again, some hosts can provide code for this). Slideshows in iWeb will work on other hosts than MobileMe (they use different code when FTPing which doesn't depend on scripts hosted on MobileMe as the MobileMe version does); however there is an issue with the 'buttons' which control the slideshow which are images hosted on me.com - these depend on images which used to be hosted on MobileMe. The poster 'Old Toad' on the Apple Forums has provided a workaround, described at http://oldtoadstutorials.net/No.26.html.

I might be doing some programming for my company soon
which will require a program to monitor a database
and whenever there is a change to certain fields, it
must copy certain fields into another database. When I see "whenever thiere is a change to certain fields" I tend to think "triggers" - but maybe this won't work for you 'cause of the "another database" part. And the fact that triggers are inherently evil.

Why I ask is
that I occasionally get asked to do small development
projects for my company, but we are a microsoft
partner and therefore do all the development in C#
and the like. So I would like to just implement as
many things in Java as I can, just to show everyone
that Java can do exactly what C# can do. But its
difficult to convince people of this since I always
require the JRE and they dont. Of course, they require the .NET framework and you don't. And last I looked that thing was around 23 Meg.

Just create a new page (or use the existing photo page) on your external site and use html to add an iframe sized to the page and link it to the mobilme gallery page. Works for me just fine when showing my gallery from a yahoo site.

Can compile but cannot run.

Dear Java Guru,
Wish to find out why I can compile but cannot run. I encounter the following error: 'Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/media/jai/JAI
at saveasone.<init>(saveasone.java:29)
at saveasone.main(saveasone.java:21)'
This does not happen on one PC but happened on another PC.
The one can compile is XP, the other which cannot compile is Win2k Professional. Is there any other possible cause ?

The problem probably lies in the Classpath. I think you are using different environments for compiling and running. If you are using an IDE for developing your code, you might have set the classpath correctly there but not in the executing environment. As about the OS's you mentioned, I think the problem is still with your Environment Settings than OS settings.

i pop up a window from my applet, using Jframe, and in it is a Jlabel showing some texts.
now i can run it w/o problem when using appletviewer. but when i test it from a brower, like IE, it cannot run, the error message is like: cannot find javax.swing.JLabel class.
what is wrong with it? thank you very much for your help.

The problem is that the browser is compatible with java 1.1.x, not 1.2 or later with swing. So if you use any of the new classes, the browser doesn't know about them.
With the latest browser version, you can use java 1.2 or later (by downloading and installing java runtime environment). To make it work in older browsers, you need to modify your html page so it uses jre as a plugin. That means ppl still need to download and install a jre (if not included in the latest browser versions) to run your applet.

Tomcat 4.0 can run example but cannot run my servlet!

I can run examples (both servlet and JSP) under Tomcat.
Now I have servlets class file in
C:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0.1\webapps\vpsystem\WEB-INF\classes\agent\bookmark\BookMark.class
but I cannot see "http://localhost:8080/vpsystem/agent/bookmark/BookMark" in IE.It tell me no resource found.
It's the matter of web.xml?It's the matter of server.xml?Or any another?
Please someone help me out.

Maybe both. You should show how you have configured the web application in server.xml and the servlet in web.xml in order to be able to help you

CAN COMPILE BUT CANNOT RUN PROGRAM

I am finally able to compile my program, I have the extensions .class, when I try to run the program I get an error message "main"java.lang.noclassdef
after message appears after I type java Saluton or whatever program I am trying to run.
Any suggestions, someone justed I use textpad, but I don't think this has anything to do with not being able to run programs, I am using windows 98 second edition.

This is a CLASSPATH problem.
For example, if your .class file is in the directory C:\javaclasses then you would set the CLASSPATH environment variable to that using:
set CLASSPATH=C:\javaclasses
Add this to your autoexec.bat and reboot so you don't have to type this every time you open a DOS prompt.
You may want to add the current directory, ., to the list of directories (use ; to separate directories).
set CLASSPATH=.;C:\javaclasses
If your class is part of a package, you have to use the directory that is the parent of the packages' directories.

SunStudio Newbie: Installed OK (as root), but cannot run as regular user

Just installed SS12.1 with patches successfully on a box with root. Can execute various
progs (CC, make, etc) as root OK. However when running as a regular user I get permission denied errorsor command not found errors. The path is set correctly (/usr/bin is part of the path).
What am I missing here - must be something simple, I'm sure...

Thanks for the reply, I've managed to sort it earlier - it turned out the directory it was installed into did not allow regular user/world execute access - only root's.
I've used the package installer btw, if it makes it useful for other people stumbling on this.

HT1338 i can download files but cannot run them

i seem to be able to down laod files but the pop up window to run never pops up. When I go to the downloads they are there but nothing happens when I double click them.

Boot from your installer CD and then try to delete all those jpg's. Maybe (only maybe) that will fix things up. Might want to run Disk Utility as well to verify/fix the drive.

Installed Safari but cannot run!!!

I installed Safari but when I attempt to open it, it will not stay open. It closes in less than 30 seconds. I have removed it and then reinstalled the software but it does not run. I have been running Safari on another windows computer with XP Pro without any problems.

Backup your prefs, cookies and any other fragment that is in your user account used by Apple Safari, some are hidden, that should fix the problem. You can then import your bookmarks if needed.

Can Make Voice/Sms calls, but cannot recieve any Voice or SMS on Iphone 4

My wife and I recieved our new IPhone 4's last wednesday. We are both new to at&t and Iphones. Had our numbers ported over from verizon. Since then when we are at home our phones seem to make outgoing calls and send txt msg's just fine. But both are only sporadically recieving calls and txt msg's. We are showing 5 bars on the E network, also have wifi hooked up to them from our router. I've tried full restores, reset network connection, had tech support re-register both phones, and power cycle them many times. It seems briefly after after resetting all network settings the missing txt will all flood in for a moment then it's back to just every now and then receiving them. I've also tried turning everything off in my house that cause interference which didn't help either.
Has any else had similar issues? And no this is not even holding on to the phone when this happens.
