Part 1. How to add videos/picture/songs/word
1. How to add videos?
Double click the preview window or the box in the “Story Board” to find the videos on your computer.
It can save your videos in it and you can find it easily in “My video” next time you want to use it.
2. How to add pictures?
You can add videos from your computer the same as add videos.
This SlideShow maker provides you many beautiful pictures on the left side of the interface. It is classified as “Animals”, “Christmas”, “Halloween”, “Plants”, “Scenery”, “Season” and “Wedding”
3. How to add songs?
Click “Add Muisc” in the Story Board to add your music.
4. How to add words on the screen?

After you add the video, picture, or songs, you can see their properties of them and you can also edit it on the property section
Part 2. How to add transitions between two source you add
A default transition will be added when you add two sources(pictures or videos). When you click the boxes between two source in the story board you are allowed to change the transitions(it provides you 19 transitions for you to choose).
You can adjust the duration and other settings of the transition, such as “Motion”, “IrisStyle” and so on.
Part 3. How to edit the source you added
1. How to edit videos you added
When you click the video you added on the Story Board, you will see the edit interface and you can do crop and trim under the previews window. When you click the triangle at the bottom of the preview window, you can go to the preview interface. In there you can preview your video and full screen is available.
On the left side you can see the detailed settings of the video, such as video size, video effect, aural effect and so on. You an also adjust the settings in property section.
2. How to edit the picture you added
Choose the picture and you can edit it directly on the preview window, such as crop the picture. On the property section you can edit the detailed settings of the picture.
3. How to edit the songs you added
Select the music you added, and on the left side you can see the info of the audio file. You can edit it here directly, such as sample rate, fade in and fade out and so on.
4. How to edit the words you added
You can add your words after you double click the “Sample Text” or select the Caption. Other settings are really easy to set on the left side property section.
After you have done all the things you want to do you can click the “Create” button. Here you will go to the create section. You are allowed to choose the output profile and edit the specific settings, such as “Resolution”, “Encoder”, “Bitrate” and “Frame Rate” and so on.

I have the same issue. If you are exporting from iMovie version 10.0.1, I run into the same issues if I export directly to YouTube or if I export to file then upload to YouTube.
Google's help file doesn't properly address this problem and thier help is also out of date. In talking to a support rep at Apple, they said the export to YouTube should just work or the exporting to a file then uploading otherwise it's an issue for Google support.
If someone can post a solution that works (is a streamable format - which is different than the format that YouTube accepts as it will accept many formats but take a long time to process them), I'd be interested to hear also.

Whatever you read about iTunes is wrong unless you're actually referring to feature movies, not videos. Videos, apps, music and iBooks you can re-download:

Download to your computer and then sync to your iPod touch whatever will fit.
And no, I can't say with certainty that they won't give you a refund, but it's unlikely. The most probable outcome, if you do indeed mean movies, not TV shows or other videos, is that they would set up an additional download. For other content they'll probably just direct you to the same instructions on re-downloading I just posted.

firstly disconnect the DSL modem for the linksys..
then connect the computer to the linksys router (port 1/2/3/4)..
then access the linksys setup UI
open ur web browser
site: http://192.198.1.1/
username: [blank]
password: admin
now hook up the westell modem.. and goto the status page ...
check Internet IP.
if then Internet IP is 192.168.1.* then,
disconnect the westell from the router and goto the setup page.
change the LOCAL IP address to 192.168.2.1 (notice the 2.1 and not 1.1)
save settings....
connect the westell and viola ur online...
if the Internet IP is 0.0.0.0 then
goto the setup page and change the 'Internet connection Type' to 'PPPoE'
once done the page changes and give u a place to enter a username and a password.. this username and password is given by verizon..
sud be something like '[email protected]'
once done save settings...
goto the status page and hit connect... give it a few moments... u shud get a Internet ip address... if u get one ur online if not then power cycle the entire network. and try check to see if u get an ip..

Restart your phone,hold the home button and the off button down till the apple symbol comes up. If that doesnt fix it , you need to do a restore in itunes by connecting to itunes , click on your phones name to the left, then click restore in the center of the screen and restore from backup.

Script to encode jpg and mp3 into video for youtube?

Sometimes I upload music and stand-up to youtube. Till now I used wine + avisynth + virtualdubmod to achieve this. Lately I realized that there is another smipler way to carry out things: ffmpeg
I was looking for some script or one-liner which makes the encoding task, but unfortunately none of those mentioned scripts worked. They are all obsolate that are mentioned by others. Some of them works, but the resulting video are denied by youtube. Do anybody know a simple one-liner or script (or maybe a handy application) which can do the transcoding the right way?

You don't say if you want 1 or multiple .jpg images in the video.

With x264/mp3 into a mp4 container? Any number of ways. Here are some examples.
ffmpeg -r 1 -i file.jpg -i file13.mp3 -c:a copy -c:v libx264 -b:v 500k ouput.mp4
ffmpeg -loop 1 -i file.jpg -c:v libx264 -t 30 -i file.mp3 -c:a copy out.mp4
ffmpeg -f image2 -i file.jpg -i audio.mp3 -c:a copy -c:v libx264 -b:v 500k output.mp4
Find out how you want to do, then if you want a script to automate it, something like

Amazon cannot give me the serial number and I used my iTunes to put music on it initially. Is there a place I can find the serial number on my iTunes and can it be tracked to different computers if someone else is using it? My nephew no longer has the packaging.

Restoring new MacBook to intro video for Christmas present after install

Ok, king of the stupid questions:
How do I restore the new MacBook to pristine, turn it on and get the full effect first time intro video? I just got a new CoreDuo 13" black laptop for my fiance for Christmas. I installed Office and a couple of other things, set it up to connect wirelessly to my network, etc. But, I would like her to turn it on and get the full-on Welcome, Bienvenido, Wilkommen, etc. video that Apple had set it -- I was impressed.
I know, I know. Why didn't I let her do the install, the set up, and let her enjoy the new Mac experience -- this is her first. I'm ditching her Gateway once she transitions. Well, she doesn't care about or have time for that crap. I know she'll love it, but now she's focused on kids, school, and me, and computers are tools to do her homework, etc.
I'm sure it's an easy fix, like deleting a cookie or prefs file. But, I don't want to mess around with her new box too much. I'm even going to wipe my greasy fingerprints off before I rebox it for Christmas.

IPod and Windows: Demuxing video for transfer??

I have been working on this for almost a week now downloading all sorts of crap that i read on this forum but to no avail. Can any one help me?! I have Windows XP MCE and i can rip the video fine into avi, mpeg2, or mpeg, and videora will convert it to the right size and format but when it does it loses the audio. Now i know this has something to do with "demuxing" but i cant find a single program to do that for a windows machine please throw me a freakin bone here!

Your are converting one muxed format to another. QT and similar applications do not deal with transcoding of muxed material and may or may not support playing them. MPEG based applications, on the other hand were written to specifically handle these muxed formats. While I am not a Windows user, it is my understanding that the Videora Converter is of the latter group and is quite capable of handling the ripped files directly, so I am wondering why you are bothering to transcode to an intermediate format before converting to an iPod compatible file.

Converting and compressing mp4 video for iBook Author

I'm working on an iBook on Propaganda in WW II and would like to include loads of videos.
The Internet Archive has a great collection:

Most are in mp4 format. I have tried bringing the mp4 into QT or iMovie and both seem to do about the same job of converting. Plus they increase file size by about 50%
Primary question
I'm targeting my iBook as a free resource for schools. File size is an issue for school iPads that might be 16 GB. Is there anyway to reduce file size, without losing quality? I saw some discussions about Compressor, but that seems to be designed for Final Cut Pro and I'm not a video expert.
Secondary question:
Is there any way to improve the quality of these old videos. Perhaps there are some settings I'm missing in QT or iMovie??
I'm an instructional design guy - not a video guy. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated ... especially in laymen's terms.

The result was 2.6 MB smaller that what I had downloaded. As predicted, iBooks Author rejected it suggesting I use QuickTime X Player. I did that using the iPod touch/iPhone 3GS preset but the result was a whopping 21.9 MB larger!
Let's remember that the sole target of what iBooks Author outputs is iBooks on the iPad, nothing else.
Next, I use Pages to create an *.epub file with the Handbrake encoded movie in it. Guess what? It plays just fine in iBooks!

This is like the holy grail of iPhone functionality. It is technically possible but doesn't fit Apple's (and/or Amazon's) business model, so will probably never see the light of day for that reason alone.

Screenshot the picture you want to set as your background, then set the screenshot as your background. It will be zoomed in a little, but it's better than just turning the parallax effect on.

No matter when I add a song or save a document it says it was added/saved on 1/5/2011. It would be great if somehow I could get back the dates and times that things were added, but I know that may be impossible. I just want a way to have the correct time and date stamp from now on. Finally it wasn't always like this, when I first got the computer everything was correct, I just started noticing it. Additionally my clock is correct, so I don't understand why things aren't saved according to the clock. Thanks in advance
