Maker Cost center G/L a display field in PO/PR

Dear Experts ,
When i procure a material in PO/PR against an account assignment K- Cost center , the G/L account is defaluted from the material master / service master setting , BUT it is in editable mode . I want to make this G/L in display mode to avoid any changes at document level .
Please tell me how can this be done ?
In PO document type filed selection there is no setting for this .

go to spro == mm == purchasing == Account assignmet == Maintain Account Assignment Categories
select K
click on details
in fields area click page down
find General Ledger Account and select display and save
ur GL field will be in display mode for po and pr

Cost Center Restriction - Finance posting/Display

Hi Experts,
Is it possible to restrict the FI document posting/display using cost center? The scenario is users from one cost center should not post/display documents from other cost center.

How to make Cost Center display/default at expense level in PR05

Dear Friends
I've a requirement in Travel Mgt where in PR05 at each expense line item level i need cost center to be displayed by default as 100%. Is there any possibility at the config level or Exit level to make it default.
Currently we are using a Exit: ZXTRVU03 for Cost center & Business area validation. where my client has given us a cost center ranges to make business area as default explicitly only for Travel Mgt. for ex: we have a Cost center range as 74001 - 74018 for this range the default business area for Travel Mgt must be 101 and for HR & FI it can be 101-110 any range. Based on that we have written a program using the Exit ZXTRVU03. Now the problem we are facing is in Master data the employee is falling under the above mentioned costcenter and HR has given a business area which falls under 101-110 (take example as 105)
Now the issue here is, based on the Master data, when we incur any expense in PR05, the Business area 105is coming by default for any of the expense. Now as per my client, this is wrong. It must be 101 at any cause. So, based on that we have made an enhancement that if user changes the Cost distribution to 100% or make the cost distribution with splits like 50% with home cost center & 50% with another cost center then only our enhancement gets triggered. But user is not satisfied with the solution provided, as we cannot expect users to change the cost distribution unless there is a split. So we are planning to pass a value in the cost distribution field as 100% ( as in std the field itself is blank, but still it denotes as 100%)
I hope the above screenshot makes it clear. Now instead of manally entering 100% to make the enhancement trigger, is there any possible solution where I pass the value as default 100% to make users life easier.
Note: we are not maintaining IT0017 for cost center, company code, Business area as we are reading this data through Master data.
Kindly provide me your valuable solutions.

Maintain Cost centre at each Organization unit at infotype 1008.
at PR05 it will pick by default.

Report Painter- How to make cost center report for Jun07-Jul08 ?

I need to make a P&L (Actual/ Plan) report for Jun 07 - Jul 08 by using Report Painter, but I'm having difficulty to make column for the next year period (2008) and some other things.
We are using K4 Fiscal Year Variant in ECC 6.0.
The layout is somehow like this:
Header : Cost Center
             Actual/Plan Report
             June 2007 to July 2008
Body:
Cost Element     |   Total Actual   |   Total Plan | Actual June | Plan June .................Actual July | Plan July

How to:
a. make the header "June 2007 to July 2008" ?
b. make the selection screen to provide parameter for June 2007 to July 2008? (e.g.: period 6 fiscal year 2007 to period 7 fiscal year 2008)
c. provide layout (rows and columns) as described above? it should provide detail cost elements and also calculate it as the total per account group, then finally the Grand Total for all of account groups.

Hi,
1. Put Year and Month as your General Selection parameters
2. In the label of the fields, if you put the parameter name with & before, it will display the value
3. If you put cost element in General selection, it will come with a group, and when you selecting the group, the report does the sub-totals automatically.

In SPRO-Controlling-Internal Orders-Order Master Data-Screen Layout-Select Fields. Select your order type. In the area Master data display select Field selection. There you make the fields you want as mandatory, display or hide.

Make Cost center in grey mode after releasing order

At the time of creating order [IW31] I have made Cost center as Mandatory under Location Tab.
My requirement is after releasing order the Cost center has to be in Grey Mode
Is there any Configuration settings available or any alternativea are available.

Cost Center Group Hierarchy not displayed in infopack selection

Hi All,
Suddenly my cost center hierarchy load failed with error "No Hier Selections". When i checked inside the infopackage selection, i was unable to find my cost center i was not able to see even after refreshing the r/3 hierarchy. I checked in RSA6 also but i still could not find that particular hierarchy.
I thought the hierarchy would have changed, so i checked in R/3 and the Hierarchy is visible by transaction code KSH3.
I want to load this hieararch to BW.. i am not able to see in infopack..
Kindly suggest and help.

Under 0Costcenter, replicate datasource 0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER...
In the infopackage, under "Hierarchy Selection" tab, click 'Available Hierarchies from OLTP" button. Here check weather u can see that hierarchy

How can I make Cost center and GL account mandatory fields for Purchase order / Purchase Requsition. I can do this by account assignment. in PO or requsition. But I need to know how can I make Account assignment coloumn mandatory so GL will be mandatory.

Hi,
This can be done in the MM config. Ask the MM consultant in your team. I am not too sure if I remember correctly, but maybe it is the config of the Standard Value key.......just check with the MM guy.

When i see in screen layout, Some logical fields are having display option also.
But in time dependent tab we dont have that option. that column is empty, not displaying any values.
If i select investment measure that is showing display option also.

Display cost center field under item level when creating sales order

Hi dear experts,
during the sales order creation(tcode VA01), is it possible to display the cost center field in the tab account assignment under item level??
currently we are using ECC6,in the tab account assignment, the cost center field was actually already defined in the screen by the system...i used to try to 'activate' the cost center field VBAP-KOSTL in the user exit MV45AFZZ, but the cost center still not shown.
I know that there is a config to the sales doc type can be used to open the cost center at header level, how about item level?

The Cost Center Determination settings is in OVF3 - but there are some cases where the Cost Center must be exceptionally changed.
If the document category for order type in IMG VOV8 is defined to be "I" which belong to order type FD - Deliv.Free of Charge, then the field cost center is active for input during transaction VA01.
Alternatively, you can specify an order reason and assign a cost center to an order reason.
However the standard SAP works only at the header level though, so it would not work if cost center is needed on the line item.
The cost center are assign for such business transactions as :
- Free deliveries
- Returns
- Deliveries of advertising materials
You can also make cost center allocation dependent on the order reason, for example:
Order reason: Damage in transit
Order reason: Free sample
Both the IMG settings are done in transaction OVF3, either with/without the order reason.

Cost center field in outbound delivery item level.

I want to make Outbound Delivery without Sales order referance - VL01NO
In Outbound Delivery, Goto > Item > Financial Processing, there is Cost center field.
AS a CO user's requirements, I have to input this field.
But I can not put in there, because it is not active - just display ; screened.
I want to use this cost center field.
How can I do it?

How to use field "responsible Cost center" in Report Painter

I create report painter by using standard LIbrary and want to use field "Responsible Cost Center" as a parameter in order to display report in hierachy.But the standard Library "6O1" doesn't provide this field .
So I try to create new library by copy the standard "6O1" and using the structure "CCSS".But it doesn't show this "Responsible Cost Center" Field as a parameter .
Please give me an advice step by step the way to get this field as parameter in report painter

Hi,
I have a similar requirement. I have followed OSS note 358251 as an example to add the 'Responsible Cost Center', however it doesn't display in the report even after I choose the field for display. The steps I have followed are -
1) Added the field ZZ_KOSTV in the include structure CI_CC1S.
2) Using transaction GRCT, table CCSS, I added a characteristic KOSTV with Def field OBJNR, and filler routinue EZZ_FILL_KOSTV. I then wrote code in this routinue to populate the value KOSTV from AUFK table in the include program FK21REZZ. In debug mode, I can see correct values are populated in this field.
3) I created a copy of an existing report in the library 6O1, changed it and in the Total line, added the field Responsible Cost Center to the Selected Characteristics. When I save, regenerate and execute the report, the value for Responsible Cost Center doesn't get displayed though the displayed orders have a value populated in this field and when I debug I can see the value is passed ut correctly form the filler routinue to the field KOSTV.
Please help and let me know what I need to do to be able to see this field in the output result.
