Making 2 different websites question(s)

Hello-
I've made a simple portfolio site for myself using iWeb and publishing it directly to my Mobile Me account. It all works great.
Now I want to make a very similar website for my wife. She will host it using her ISP. I understand I need to "publish her site to a folder." Whenever I try to do that, it publishes her stuff, plus all my site contents to the folder. Obviously, she won't need any of my pages, images, links, etc.
So how does this work? Normally in design programs you can do a "Save As" and start a brand new file. I can't figure out how to do that with iWeb.
Do I need to simply publish everything, my site AND hers to a folder, then go in and manually delete all my site's stuff? Seems like there'd be a chance of something going wrong if I did this.
What if, for instance, you wanted to design ten different websites using iWeb. Every time you publish one to a folder it will automatically add all the other nine sites as well? This makes no sense to me. Am I simply missing something?

Yes, you can rename the Domain file whatever you want.
Also, the article you linked to seems to specifically say to NEVER duplicate Domain files.
Since you've already built the second site, I don't think you have a choice but to duplicate its Domain in order to separate the site out. That warning is for when you are about to create a new site/Domain file — in which case it's best to move the current Domain file from it's location so that iWeb creates a new one. ...It is confusing, but if you make backups before doing anything, you can always recover from them:

don´t know what happened but by any reason i cannot find my folders that contain all the files of different websites i have created, in my computers. So my question is if is there any way i can download those files from the business catalyst into my desk again

Thanks for replying my email. Well, I guess i was looking a way to get back all the files that I created to make different websites. Don´t know what happened but suddenly they disappeared from my desktop, i have been looking at them using different alternatives but I haven´t had any success, so that is why I thought maybe there was a chance to get them from BC. I am a designer, so I don´t know so much about technical issues. Thanks anyway.

How can I create a second, different website?

How would I go about creating a second, completely different website? I have my website for my business, but now I'd just like to put up a second website that just has photos from out vacation.
IWeb seems to allow only one site, and only one site gets published, so it seems.
I don't want it to be part of my business website.
I have two different .mac accounts, if that helps.

Hi everybody, I see there are here some experts about iWeb
let me ask you help to better use of iWEb and different Family accounts.
I have my account and created 2 different account to really keep separate the web sites.
I have my private site on http://web.me.com/walter.pavesi/HOMEPAGE_WP/ created with iWeb and also 2 different sites loaded as http://web.me.com/walter.pavesi/REFRATTARI/ and http://web.me.com/walter.pavesi/T30/. I loaded the sites using the way to move the domain files away from the correct library directory, make a new site, publish it and then go back to the original.
Until here all works and I have no special questions but suggestions are really well accepted.
Then I am thinking to publish the 2 sites on the Mobile Me account of the Family (that is http://web.me.com/refrattari/REFRATTARI/ and http://web.me.com/affitti.milano/T30/ on the existing family accounts [email protected] and [email protected]
I tried to do this from my Master account walter.pavesi because I do not have on both Mac any USER ACCOUNT for the 2 above mentioned Family accounts. I did not found a way.
Which could be the easiest: create 2 new accounts on a Mac will not increase the data on HD too much ? Is there a way to copy the Site Files from one MM account to another ???
There will be a risk to demage the permissions or some other problem.

The other day I had downloaded the latest version of Firefox and now none of the icons for the different websites I normally go to are there?

As I said, the other day I had downloaded the latest version of Firefox and after doing so none of the icons for the different websites that normally go to are no longer there. Websites such as MSNBC, MSN, Most visited, that entire strip is no longer visible. I tired resetting Firefox and still nothing. Can anyone tell me how to get them to appear again? It's a hassle every time that I want to go to one of those sites I have to type it in the search bar, instead of just clicking on it as I did before. Please keep in mind if you answer, that I'm still learning about these things called computers and not very well versed in some of the things that you experts know:) Thanks

On Windows XP Firefox shows the menu bar by default and not the orange Firefox menu button that is shown when the menu bar is hidden. 
The menu bar is the toolbar at the top that shows menu items like File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help. 
You can press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily in case this bar is hidden (View > Toolbars or Firefox > Options).
The Navigation Toolbar shows the Back and forward button and the input field where you type the address of a site that you want to visit (aka location bar) and also has a search bar where you can type items that you want to look up with a search engine (Google).

When I search for videos in google, it takes me to the different website after clicking the search

I installed FF 4 and I was happy with the look and feel and performance untill oneday I tried to google some vedios.
When I click on the search results which most of the time suggests to be youtube link, it takes me to altogether different website which I never heard of. I expect when the search result shows me source as youtube, I should be able to go to youtube on clicking on the results.

Linking between different websites

Hi
How to get a couple of rows of from a search result of different website from ours.
For eg.:
I am entering a search criteria from
http://www.a.com/examples/a.jsp
and searching the result from
www.b.com/examples/query?q=query
Now, the tricky part is: i shouldn't display the complete result (I just need a couple of rows from the result) and also searching 'b' website should be a background process and display in my website using b.jsp

To add to my previous query above:
I have retrieved the page (reading it line by line), but that hasn't solved my purpose actually. What I need is to get (from the html page read) the order no. and product id, say for example, that are dynamic and varies for different users. The problem here is that I don't have permission to talk to the databae of "b" website to retrieve these.
Any idea on how to accomplish this will be highly appreciated.

Why is page in Dashboard now displaying a different website? Hijacked?

I've been using the feature to display webpages in Dashboard, however one of these widigts is now displaying a completely different website (one i have NEVER visited). When i click on it the amazon page displays for a split second, then it defaults back to the anomalous page - as far as i can see a company called network solutions that says if i do not own the domain name, do i want to backorder it !?

There might be images and content on silkenfest.com which are stored on webpagescreenshot.info, so it needs to connect to silkenfest along with the other website in order to load the main website and its images. silkenfest.com is just a slow website and it probably has nothing to do with webpagescreenshot.info. The same thing appears on my screen when I load the website. When you visit websites, a lot of other websites actually load in the background. For example, if you visited YouTube.com, it would also connect to ytimg.com to load the video thumbnails since they are stored on there and google.com because YouTube uses Google Accounts.

Firefox starts up in different tab with a different website

Occasionally Firefox starts up in a tab and website that are different from the last time I closed it. For example, last night I closed it facing the second tab with a given website, and then today, when I started it up, I was on the fifth tab, with facebook's homepage on it. It doesn't happen everyday, it just comes and goes, it happens for 2/3/4 days straight each time with different tabs and different websites and now it's starting to get on my nerves. What could it be?

@cor-el: They're from older days. What was happening to my browser happened since Sunday, with yesterday and Monday being repeated. Today, for some reason it didn't happen.

Mail 4.4 urls link opens different website

hello,
we experience something very strange, in one of our emails we have included a url (syntax http://www.example.com) which opens a completely different website in safari, while showing the url included in the email.
we have tried the following:
1. emptied safari cache;
2. tried from different computers on various networks > same behaviour;
3. checked the raw source of the email > no reference to the other website anywhere;
needless to say the other website is available when simply typing the url in safari's address bar.
any ideas much appreciated.

Restart your Mac then try both browsers in the main account.
If that doesn't help, remove all startup items in System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items
And check startup items.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
/Library/StartupItems
Click Go. Move any items in the StartupItems folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac then try a browser.
If that doesn't help, back to the Finder.
Copy and paste the following:
~/Library/Cookies
Click Go the move all the files in the Cookies folder to the Trash.
Try a browser.

When I browse to a website I know I want to go too, I get taken to a totally different website?

When I browse to a known website....when I click to go there I end up at a totally different website. I have even entered a website and click on something inside the site and will take me elsewhere. You can check for recently installed suspicious or unknown extensions.

Do other devices now connect?
Did the iPod connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Try changing the security on the router. Start with no securty as a test.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

I keep getting redirected to a different website.

I keep getting redirected to a different website namely, ww9.mitsubishiconfort.com. The websites I'm visiting are safe www.thecrashblossoms.co.uk and www.atpworldtour.com both redirect me. I use Safari and Firefox and the problem happens on both? I have tried reseting Safari, but to no avail. I have also emptied the Internet plug-in folder and it still happens. I don't have any virus protection on my mac, which might be a problem as well? If someone could please help me that would be great please because it's getting very annoying!

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

My iphone recently started making me answer security questions. I do not know the answers and I was wondering if there is anything I can do. I cannot buy anything at all.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
