Hi I'll be traveling overseas this year and I would like to stay in touch back home here in the U.S.A. I have skype credit and I would be using the keypad on the app to call landlines and mobiles in the U.S.A while either on wifi or mifi, would this also include a charge from my carrier AT&T? Also what about calling other countries the same way?

U need to have the BDI config in the jabber-config.xml file you upload to call manager number 1 and number 2 you also need a TCT device configured on the CUCM and assigned to that end user and have the end user associated with the TCT and CSF devices for device controll.
You also need to create UC Services and have a UC Service Profile assigend to the end user to allow directory look up.

I am facing a problem that my Nokia N97 that is working with VoIP (via the SIP), is only working if I am using my wireless internet in the home (via the access point), but when I try to do the call using my GSM internet service provider (we call it EGO and in some countries it is GPRS).
Some other mobile, they support VoIP using the wireless access point or the internet via the GSM (mobile) service provider ...
So how can I fix this issue on my N97?

I have the same problem: I can make and receive calls using my router but not through GPRS allthough i did set AWCDMA' and 'UAWMAC' to ON

Restore the phone from backup. If this does not work, restore the Phone as a new device not using backup at all.

Hi,I have received an email saying that I can have free Worldwide calls for one month. I am going to Tunisia at the end of April and want to ring UK every day because my parents both have cancer.So if I use my UK mobile phone in Tunisia to ring a UK landline number will it be completely free? or will I have to pay a rate per minute. I can't believe it'll be completely free. In fact if the calls don't have to be paid for, at £8.49 a month it'll be worth doing every time I go on holiday. Thanks in advance

Hello, I moved to Amsterdam recently and the "pay as you go" plan is now not practical.I attempted to sign up for Unlimited World calls to landline and mobiles but when I selected Free trial button, I received a message that the offer expired or is not available to my skype login. I only have one Skype login.I just signed up for Premium service thinking maybe I need to do this first, then I can upgrade to Unlimited World but that didn't work either.How can I sign up for Unlimited World? I pay unlimited monthly subcription call to Thailand, but I cannot call any number for two days.What wrong? Also I tried calling several uk mobile and landline numbers, but didn't work.

I obviously want to use the mobiles subscription for mobiles only, but I need to call landlines as well. How would it work if I buy a limited subscription for landlines and one for both landlines and mobiles, would Skype select automatically the subscription or should I do it manually? And, if automatically, what would be Skype criteria, I read it would be "more minutes left", wouldn't it be the best rate instead?

I think your solution it's right, 3G connection use a lot of battery power! Yestreday I dosconnected 3G connection and the phone work "normally"; it doesn't became hot and the battery it's already now charge.

It doesn't on mine. I'm assuming you are making a call from Contacts? If not then you want the dialpad to show so you can enter a number.

Is Skype 1 Month Mobile and Landline Subscription ...

If I take out a Skype one month Landline and Mobile Subscription I get 60 minutes for £1.55p. This equates to 2.6ppm if all 60 minutes are used. Using fewer minutes means the cost per minute is greater.
A PAYG call on the Three network to landlines and mobiles costs 3ppm, slightly more than the Skype cost but with the convenience of being able to use my phone to make the call and of not having to find a wifi point. If I only use 40 minutes it costs £1.20 whereas 40 minutes with the Skype subscription would still be £1.55.
I may be missing something but Skype does not seem good value for money. Perhaps someone could point out the flaws in my thinking.

I have to admit that cost is very important to me and, there being virtually nothing about me that is unique or even out of the ordinary, it may also be important to some others.
It would seem then that from the UK I must take your advice make my occasional calls using my mobile as the least expensive and most convenient method. Indeed, this also applies to Germany where wifi is virtually inaccessible other than at airports and hotels, unavailable for instance at McDonalds without a German telephone number.
Incidentally, Three - with whom I have no connection other than as a PAYG customer - offers mobile calling at UK rates from many European countries.

IPhone 6 Plus 64GB (iOS 8.1 or 8.1.1) springboard crashes repeatedly when making phone calls via Continuity on Macbook Pro Retina Mid 2014 using Yosemite 10.10.1

I USED TO be able to make phone calls using continuity on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) with Yosemite (10.10) via my iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 8.1 without any problems. Once I updated Yosemite to 10.10.1, my iPhone's springboard would continually crash where it brings up the Apple logo and quickly restarts repeatedly until I end the call. Just so that you know, I am able to stay on the call while this is occurring the whole time.
I need to reiterate, this all started happening as soon as I updated Yosemite to 10.10.1 while still on iOS 8.1. I know this because I made a few phone calls (loving the feature), updated Yosemite to 10.10.1, then made a few phone calls afterwards, and this started happening.
When iOS 8.1.1 came out, I eagerly updated hoping this issue would go away, and it did not. I'm hoping Apple notices this post. If anyone else has this problem, please contact Apple and chime in this post as well. Thank you Apple for incorporating continuity calling. I love this feature, but need to use it without my phone's springboard constantly crashing.

I have this issue as well. I am using an iPhone 6 plus, iPad Air 2, 5K iMac, and MacBook Pro. When I make a continuity calls from any device, the springboard crashes. This only happens with outgoing calls, incoming calls are functioning normal. I am currently working with multiple Apple Senior Advisors, and they are working directly with iOS a engineers. I have an active open case and will update this thread when a resolution is found.
Just a tip for everyone with this issue, restoring your devices and setting them up as new WILL NOT correct this issue. Save yourself the hassle. I did this with my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook and the issue still persists.

Can PC send/receive texts/calls via iPhone 5?

My iPhone 5 has poor reception where my computer is located. Can I leave the iPhone elsewhere in the house where there is better reception and send/receive texts and calls remotely via my (Win 7) PC? If so, how?

Contact your carrier and see if they have a microcell (femtocell) available. It's basically a small cell antenna that connects to your broadband Internet service and provides cellular service in areas where the coverage is otherwise poor or non-existant.
AT&T sells one for around $150. I've got a similar problem in my home. Coverage is fine upstairs, but downstairs, it's almost non-existant. The Microcell solves the problem quite nicely.

Did you check with your mobile internet provider if they are allowing Skype calls over their network? You can also rule that out by trying to call while your phone is connected via a stable wifi internet connection.
